chef's wig here hi welcome so today boys the plan soum we're gonna be making cut but not just any clip we're gonna be making cut Suzette it's a special variety of cut where you flambe in an orange sugary sauce with a little bit of cognac today we have Hennessy so we're gonna use that to flambe that should be a nice treat the great thing about clip is you're probably the ingredients at home right now unless you live by yourself and you probably have like ramen and cereal and maybe bread peanut butter jelly but not really flour or eggs in which case you can but the rest of you guys will live with your parents you have everything at home I guarantee it [Music] dog [ __ ] you're copying bone Appetit I mean [ __ ] man isn't it's just [ __ ] cooking you think Emeril Lagasse didn't say [Music] hey what's up let's jump into it boys okay this is a Ludwig with a bone Appetit bone Appetit Test Kitchen and today we're gonna be making clip Suzette so I got all the ingredients in front of me it's pretty simple 1 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of butter 2 eggs and then also milk and water outside of that that's it that's all that's gonna be in this thing it's a very simple dish to make and then after we're done with that we're gonna grill up a little sauce and that's gonna be what we use for the Suzette part of the clip and let's be clear for the rest of the stream we're not saying crepes ok this is a CREP only zone crepes crepes no creepers okay that's just for my mother she watches my stream occasionally not often not for very long cousin really get my jokes doesn't think I'm not funny but she does watch and she comes in I say crepe I'm not gonna be able to go home the good thing about CREP I almost said crepes is that it's so easy to make all you have to do is mix I don't know doesn't smelling anything is mixed the ingredients the order doesn't even matter so you just thrown the flour throw on the butter why not and then throw in a couple eggs let's see if I can crack them at the same time [ __ ] anyway not a problem shouldn't be a problem look I asked my mom how to make this and she said you should put in half a cup of milk and rum and then I asked QT how to made it she said half a cup of milk and half a cup of Wawa I think I'll just I'll just say [ __ ] them both put a full cup of milk and rum that way everybody's happy crepe batter is very forgiving so you can just kind of get like a little crazy with it a little Hennessy why not what why not a little hit why not a little head of C it's good for you it'll make it too runny that's the thing it doesn't matter if it's runny you actually kind of want it to be a little bit runny you don't want it to be too dry because then it won't be able to spread around the pan I feel like it's thoroughly mixed I don't want any lumps in it it smells pretty good maybe a little more honey and then a pinch of salt just a pinch did anything come out [Music] sure I think someone came out I don't even know thank you pal so I'm came out I didn't see it so here we are I feel pretty good about that and so now the play is to start cheffing them up maybe a little freaky put a little orange zest in here that's just for the fans at home my mom she's like a few dishes right she makes a killer quiche she makes killer clip alright she makes Col Kent but I've never made one of them I don't know how to make [ __ ] all this is my first attempt ever in my life at making club alright let's let's try this [Music] oh that's so much it's way too much oh [ __ ] ah why is it smoking do you guys see the smoke this is sorry sorry for what making [ __ ] delicious clip [ __ ] oh look at the color dude CLEP is so forgiving it's just just an easy food to make I'm adding another little bit of water for the final two crepes cuz it's a bit of a thick um we don't want them thick here roll it around come on baby come on roll oh that's the ugliest roll ever seen in my life okay that's not moving oh my god like it's a crazy today you should have added more milk instead of water water will make it bland it doesn't matter if it's bland here's the thing dude the crepe does not need to be the you know what I mean the crepe is just the body the sauce is the mind these parts the part I'm most confident about I will say cuz the Suzette part I've never done I've also never seen it at least in person a night we have nine I think we definitely have four juicers but I don't exactly know how to do this part I know you need butter I know I need sugar like orange juice maybe I think what you do is I'm gonna lower the heat a bit we're gonna melt the butter we're just gonna throw sugar in it squeeze in some OJ call today so we're browning it right now and basically the process of browning is when the bubbles start to appear and it evaporates the water and then what you have is more Brown I all found this out from a clear bone Appetit video like two days ago so I'm not really an expert but I think it's how it works I need sugar and I just have packets of sugar so I don't know just like a few I guess so now we got our sugar butter it seems a little thin [ __ ] it more butter more sugar you're saying oh god but you have to understand that like one Starbucks drink is probably 2x what I just put in here all right now we're gonna zest the orange just so I can get a better grip on it now we're gonna slice the orange in half and just get one juicer in there [Music] great let that heat up a little more so it thickens and then we just put the crepes directly in and you fold them into just like in half once and then in half again you just kind of let them simmer in that beautiful little [ __ ] we made it [ __ ] I [ __ ] it you're supposed to soak it first yes like that and then we're just we're just basically mopping it up you know I mean there's just like basically the the crepe is a broom and the pan is sweet dirt and we are ugly rats this is where we flambe chat I've been very nervous to do this oh can you see a chat oh and now check this out bang bang bang bow-bow Club Suzette gotta let all the alcohol burn off here once it's done burning off we're gonna plate the dish I'll just use this time to prepare the plate wipe it down and perfect yeah there's actually a few ways we could plate it you could play it in four but I think it's a little uglier so we have our plate here we have our garnish which I think just stands for fancy [ __ ] you put on top of dish beautiful beautiful and then now we're just gonna just kind of just just you know just [ __ ] [ __ ] bang doesn't matter doesn't just natural like we just dropped in orange and it fell through sharp knives and happened to decoratively fall on the plate and then voila looks good huh it took less than an hour to make top to bottom and that was while streaming as well but look food doesn't [ __ ] needle look good boys we all know this it needs to taste good so let's give this [ __ ] a bit of a nom and see what we're working with here hmm decadent oh I forgot ice cream so stupid [ __ ] weirdo into it now it's gonna look like [ __ ] gonna [ __ ] bite out of the Tim the thumbnail always are better than typical ice cream oh good week that's so dope you Judy [Music] you mean how'd I do I [ __ ] crush this [ __ ] top to bottom I'm a chef here it is [Music] chef's if you could use your [ __ ] words that'd be great
