that's nice yo what's going on YouTube welcome back to the channel my name is Kenyon and today we're gonna go check out probably the most expensive investment I've ever thought about getting and it's called a directed garment printer just in case anyone's new I print t-shirts we got the t-shirt shop right here and this printer that we're gonna go look at is like the future printing t-shirts is pretty soon it's gonna take over these manual presses and it'll just be DTG printers it's basically a printer that can print directly onto the t-shirt with this printer you don't need any of that equipment you could just literally buy the printer and that's a whole business inside of one and I'm honestly just trying to be ahead of everyone else in the industry not too many people have jumped on these printers yet most people don't even know about them but these are definitely gonna just knock these out the profit margins on these printers are pretty insane and I definitely want to move up and scale this business alright so the plan is to buy one of these things and then build a business with you guys imma let you guys in on the business plan and all the ideas I got for it and we're gonna try and scale this business to make as much money as possible and then that way if it is profitable you guys will know way before hand way before the majority of this industry gets their hands on them and maybe you guys can start your own director garment printer business let me show you guys how much labor goes into printing on these older presses alright so the first thing we have to do is design something on the computer and then we'd have to print out our design on transparency paper like this after we got this printed out we got to go in here to the dark room okay the bathroom pull out a fresh screen from in here and then we have to put the screen down here put the design on top and then expose it by turning on this light right here and then we'd have to wait for like five minutes while that's exposing we'd have to put it in the sink to wash it out and then finally we'd have to let it dry and then we got to tape the screen up to make sure no ink gets anywhere and finally we could screen the t-shirt alright so all said and done the printer would take out all the labor of this whole process and it's just a smart idea yeah I don't know if I'm over hyping it but when I did the math on how much you can make with one of these it just screams profit so hopefully we make some money and I've been looking up DTG printers online and I think we're gonna go with this one let me know what you guys think and I'll see you in a sec okay so we actually need some sort of design or picture to put on the t-shirt when they for when they do the demo so I think so I think we're gonna use the teddy bear we're gonna put a small one on the front right next to the pocket and then a giant one on the back you know what we're also gonna try something else I want to put people's faces on t-shirts so we're gonna try and take a picture of my face and see if we can put it on the t-shirt so let me just get a few pictures and this thing supposes a print really HD full-color images so we'll see how it comes out we got the monkey doing a little photo shoot and let's go alright guys so we made it to the place it's called all-american print supply we got Johnny over there oh I still on here how's it going are you come on Stella nice to meet you brother I want to you pretty good very good good do you mind if we record okay all right guys it's rock and roll specifically the machine for sweet dude we need to bring like the t-shirt bling specially prep for DTG out so you'd be ready to accept the process use me cool come on pretty idiot is the Epson shirt color 2100 so we're gonna be doing our denim shirts on today we're also working with the shelves pretreat maker for yeah so I don't know if they know but you want to tell them about how you have to pretreat the garment first how are Lully so the pretreat is an agent that we're gonna prepare on the garment basically so it can accept the white ink the white ink is gonna serve as a base layer so we can see our colors and we're going on to dark shirts so there's four things that you need for the director government process our printer we need a pretreat meaning our heat press and the software to get the design over to the printers so first thing is we're gonna go ahead and give this a quick pre-press from packaging it's got a little bit of kind of linkage going on there may also be some moisture the humidity we're gonna quick pre-press to give us a nice flat area free of moisture we're just going to give this a few seconds here is that is that like a special heat press for DTG or can you use like just a regular one off like eBay or something you know what I mean for the pre pressing process I guess you really could use anything but the quality and the craftsmanship of the Stahl's machine gives you really consistent temperature and pressure like they were get this over to our pretreat machine this here is ready yep that's gonna be hard to see but if he I didn't see it just sprayed the t-shirt with the pretreat rate on here now it's gonna have a little bit of moisture on here we like to do is kind of read back over the heat press let that high temperature element just kind of start to dry a little bit naturally so talking about yeah is it a pretreat mandatory for the BCD printer for a black t-shirt yes just because we're gonna be doing the white ink as a base layer so the pretreat and the white ain't the kind of gel and then that's what we lay the color on top of so this machine is really cool it's got kind of like a centered guide here this little arrows to help Center the garment when you're bringing it into the machine you can either thread it like load it like a RT board I like to just kind of set it on the top it gives me a little more control there I usually go off of the tag label here for centering again we got a little arrow right there as a reference point for a men's design you usually look at about maybe two to three fingers from the neckline depending how big your graphic is so I like to Center it with this and then I measure the seams on the side make sure these are nice and even after we have our garment loaded we'll take the hoop this is the hoop set this on top to kind of lock it in do you have it in place I was gonna say because I think we want his shirts you have the graphic right here like on the chest yeah and then okay blowing yeah or what did you want to do yeah you want to check how reliable are they like do you have a common problem that comes in the next like few months here no I'll take care of the printers they do the weekly daily maintenance and stuff like that then we have customers that have had the previous generation even for you know five six seven years okay and one of the awesome things about this model the newest machine here it's got built-in daily maintenance so when you go to power down I'll let me know it's gonna be working for about another five minutes says it kind of just goes through the lines cleans everything for you I know I looked up like other printers and stuff and you have to like clean the ink heads or something every day and I like how does that work for this one that's the automated part yeah yeah really the only thing you got to do is shake your whites so it's two cartridges here on the far left those are huge yeah well these are the full-size the Big Daddies you're gonna use mostly white especially if you're working with black or dark garments go ahead and puff fire it up in the morning just shake it like 30 seconds educated because you don't want any that settling on the bottom of the cartridge yeah press the big blue button and you're ready to go there's one do the honors there it goes you see going it's gonna lay down that white chase letter first oh that is sick like that the good thing is that you do have someone who comes over and it does open a mid print while he closed it back down you should resume back up where you left off you lose the okay and then so what is it doing right now it's it's in white yes so the first pass is gonna be a white base layer it's gonna lay down kind of the foundation for where your image is gonna go on top I mean if you did it you can put red on top of black shirt that's not gonna look right it's gonna be a dark out buddy but if you have a white base layer underneath resolutely red is it printing another white coat depending on the setting so this being high-resolution is going to do two passes of white before we lay down our colors it's not going to be the absolute fastest there is a production setting that lays a single layer of white then the color and then like kind of white highlights on top but doing it this way is gonna give you the most vibrant colors it's gonna be the you know it's in the highest quality great thick you will probably notice your customer maybe not necessarily but it's my very best product then the high resolution mode with the two passes and white that's what we're seeing it and this is the color patch right correct thank you [Music] remove our hoop here so this just came out of the printer so this ink is still wet so you definitely wanna handle this part with caution this guy over here now we're gonna go back over to our heat for us I like to hang that seam off the edge of the platen so it's not as like a speed bump to be nice and flat even pressure when we close the Machine go ahead I said let it hover a little bit here so he can kind of dry a little bit naturally before we press it down with the temperature and the pressure now we're gonna lay down prop paper you don't want that wet ain't going right onto your heating elements so we're gonna lay this down carefully because they said the ink can smudge we're not too careful I'm just gonna go ahead and set that on top we have our timer sets of 30 seconds so go ahead give the suppress there what's happening right now guys it is the stahls hotronix fusion IQ is curing that ink into the garment it's kind of settling in the design with high temperature and I'd say light pressure you don't need to really squish the bejesus out of these with this part of the machine just give it a nice even coat there and then is this the last step yeah sweet this is cured on this is awesome this is original artwork yes oh yeah it's nice and smooth - you guys only gonna feel a little warm but yeah if I write myself it doesn't even feel like there's ink there yeah I need this in my life that's at least like an hour and a half of making Street only do one of them right yeah yeah all right this was ready to go staying new sure Johnny you're not gonna charge me charge all right guys so we got the teddy bear and loaded up into the software right now and we're about a print this on the t-shirt right there there we got our first pass of white being laid down by the episode sure color of 2100 hey you can already see the burn Marta is there a way we could tell how much money like it cost to do that print yeah absolutely absolutely won't be able to do it as soon as the print is that sweet how much do you guys think this print is gonna cost I hope so I hope so what's worst-case worst case maybe like 350 okay that's not even bad yeah but you're gonna see like tens day but don't call me on it don't cook here appreciate what was the teddy bears name again to be honest I've never named him [Laughter] I've never seen a shirt made in front of me so right and then seeing this like how fast it was this ridiculous thinks it I don't know I see something like make onion on a shirt yeah is actually on the outskirts of that your total prints area is 40 by 16 additionally there are a number of multi size plans that you can also load onto the machine so you're doing maybe more like a youth shirt this thing can actually accommodate up to a 16 by 20 we can think about it then way bigger there's also attachments for sleeves is even a cap attachment if you want to go on to the brim yeah you can do the converse like so like the canvas type she's like you're wearing there be able to print right now that would be crazy and does this thing come with like some sort of warranty yes it comes with a one-year full operative / warranty anything that happens within the first year and it's going to be covered and then you can actually add two more years onto it and you can renew that Pama per year basis okay cool and then that's done Hey that's so funny we literally just took this picture like less than an hour ago now it's already on a t-shirt I think we have one more killer design to make today right guys yeah okay tonight for that one all right so you've seen a couple of these can you saw the process let me know if you have any questions but how about it but I did that was good like stops and we'll just do this for about 10 seconds and then we're just gonna kind of touch the sides of the garment sleeves and stuff under so there's going to dry good it's purl it's sweet you've done and then you press it again yes so we're gonna go with lay it just like you had before with that next scene kind of hanging off bring that out lay the sod over and this one will give it for the full 30 which way do I look so I'll call it over on this side here that's how these software is gonna have a design ready to go on the garment oh dang that's huge yeah yeah much white but I think wait I can't wait to hear how much it costs to like to make beer I asked you to pull up a little guide on how much exactly how much ink we used and all that so sweetie but this one cost a dollar 49 holy crap [Laughter] hey there we go some people like to send it so that it's just a full 90 seconds on the second print but we like to err off some willows Reapers let me explain this water-based ink ready just go it's kind of like evaporate on the water I hate screen printing of water base so much it can dry in your screen and rinse yeah like this is such a pain yeah discharges yeah crazy and just zoom in really quick so they have a youtube channel I'm gonna leave a link to their YouTube channel in the description if you guys want to go check it out I'm sure you guys have like tons of stuff there alright cool not sponsored by the way that's it are you done yeah alright guys thank you so much for your time absolutely so much you guys perform and really appreciate it alright guys so we're back in the warehouse and what do you guys think should we buy this machine I think that we should buy it because it's a great investment because he's not reading any of it honestly like for Kenyan I'm gonna say yes oh so a lot of money dude 16 G's is no joke yes seriously and then you gotta buy the pretreat machine too but I think there's like a really cheap way of doing it like you don't have to buy the machine you can get like a spray gun so there we have it we got the t-shirt set up right next to the teddy bear and this is like so realistic this one looks like I can almost just pick them up and grab them alright guys I'm gonna go ahead and end the video right here I hope you guys enjoyed watching huge shout out to the people at DTG Mart I really appreciate you guys giving me that free demo and then they let us keep the shirts too so that's always cool so what do you guys think should I get one of these printers this would definitely be the biggest investment I've ever like ever for me and most importantly can we make some money with it I did the math on it and if I buy it for sixteen thousand five hundred dollars then it rounds out to around forty two dollars a day I think which means I'd have to sell about two to three shirts every day to make a profit thank you guys so much for watching hope you guys have a great rest of your day my name is Kenyon and I'll catch you guys on the next video [Music]
