My Must Have Mods/Custom Content | Create A Sim | The Sims 4

hey y'all hi hi how's it going today i would like to share with you some of my must-have custom content create a sim mods in the sims 4. because truthfully i could not live without custom content in my game and i've got some must-haves that nowadays i can't even open up the game if they're not currently installed so i thought it'd be a great idea to share my addiction with you um and i hope you find that this video is helpful i hope you enjoy it you find some good stuff and i'm excited to share with you the list that i've compiled and hopefully this video helps that's the goal let's just get into it [Music] first and foremost an easy one the sims 4 stands still in cass mod is a must-have i don't like my sims you know what i've been around when i'm trying to edit them i much prefer them standing still like a statue like a wax figure so i can actually you know look at my sim and do without them going they stand like a mannequin yes but a mannequin is what i need so i love it another pretty self-explanatory one more columns in create a sim mod believe it or not ea thought it was a good idea to only have two columns in base non-modded sims 4. i don't like it i don't like it do you have an option to add three columns four columns or five look how beautiful my game looks with five columns i can finally see all of my custom content and have a fantastic time and that's the goal folks that's the goal so yes more columns and casts i literally will not make a sim if i don't have that installed and on my videos i get a lot of questions a creation background that i use i love her i think she's cute this nice little lime green wall has my heart and i kind of rotate through a couple cast backgrounds so let me just kind of show you my favorite cast background posts to get a new replacement background in creative sim to work you need a mod that's the blob shadow remover so i've linked one here by urban sims and as you can see on her website there's a bunch of different cast backgrounds laid out here ocean sims one of my favorite sims youtubers on the platform my love for her is unwaving she has some beautiful pastel simple solid color cast backgrounds it's exactly what we needed in the sims 4 however the one you've been waiting for is this old school cass background by little dica you know a modder legend in the sims 4. if you're in the community you know about sims 4 mods i almost guarantee you've probably heard about little dica but yes they made a classic sims 3 kind of inspired cast background and i prefer the green so there you go that's the one that i've been using there is a cass overhaul by lumia sims they redid the lighting in cass removed certain spectacles from the eyes and has some nice cast backgrounds here these are nice little gradients kind of the vibe i feel like ea was going for but better i feel like that's a pattern within the modding community as they can kind of encapsulate the vibe that ea was going for but they seem to always do it better i use the immersive lighting the no i specs and i've used these cast backgrounds before and i love them they're wonderful and another kind of self-explanatory one that probably most of us already know about but i will just briefly mention it the no ea eyelash remover we all know how i feel about ea eyelashes they're not my favorite these ea eyelashes maybe the death of me these these things might send me to my grave i don't know who thought it was an idea to give sims just these like block eyelashes but um whoever's idea that was i'm so sorry sims team fire them fire them i'm just joking please don't fire them so there's a mod to kind of take them off take the bar off of your sims eyes and it's beautiful and that's how i have the ability to use flashes like these ones that have like realistic detail they look cute they look fun it's a must-have now i feel as if that gets a lot of the basic mods kind of out of the way maybe you knew about those ones maybe you didn't however these are my personal favorites and some other categories that i'm really excited to share i have very briefly experimented with sliders in the sims 4 but one thing that i've always felt is that default i could never get my sims mouths to be as big as i wanted to i want them to have luscious lips look like they got the filler and i don't know just have big juicers so i downloaded a lip slider and you know you can kind of just go crazy and make big juicy voluptuous lips and it just lets you expand it more than you're traditionally able to which is so helpful so thank you for that now on to my defaults defaults default eyes i'm a fan of the alpha kind of eyes i like the detail i love them that aesthetic is beautiful so i have these eyes they're the doe eyes so if we zoom on in here look at our sims eyes this is what they look like in game pretty nice we've got a nice variation of swatches i love how there's like the perfect dark brown and light brown the greens are beautiful there's some piercing eye colors in here like this girl could suck out your soul with her eye color but yes this is what the default eyes look like and i truly love them they're my favorite favorite default eyes i have ever ever had in my game so i could not recommend them more i love them i love them and i love that they're here in the default category so i don't have to like do a face paint eye and have to like edit it for every outfit and i do get some questions about the default skin i use i use lunaria it's beautiful it's cute i like it because it matches the aesthetic of the sims 4 but it's better like i mentioned i'll probably say it once twice 35 times in this video it's what ea was going for but better all i gotta say is shout out to modders you're doing more than a does sometimes whoops so popping in here that's kind of what the default skin looks like it's just very smooth um it's glowy good texture to it i kind of like the belly button override that it has makes the belly button look better i that's something weird to point out but you know what she has a better looking belly button it looks good on all different body types and all all the stuff it looks it looks nice so i use lunaria it's very cute it's very fun funky fresh a default skin that i think you should download but i'm a little bit biased when i tell you i couldn't live without custom content i'm not lying i'm not lying i could not play the sims without it and on the topic of skin tones i also have a skin tone pack where it adds a few new skin tones into the game um a different range of skin tones from all different shades and this is something that i think is wonderful to have in your game gives me the ability to make some more unique sims and ea for the longest time had a very limited selection of skin tones but now they kind of updated it it's not as bad but i still feel like some of the skin tones aren't just the the right shade that i want um i kind of like having some more options so like i said this skin tone pack is really nice it gives you some more options and some of the skin tones are a little bit more higher definition than uh the base game ones so that's why i like it um they're a little bit more hd 4k ultra hd for example on this sim you can see i'm already using one of them but yes definitely enjoy it here are some of the the darker shades definitely a good addition to your game especially if you're looking to add more diversity and more diversity within your skin tones i would highly highly highly recommend in regards to some skin overlays i've got a couple favorites here for ya one of my top favorites is this hazel skin blend that's the hazel skin blend on female sims she looks good she looks nice we love her we love a good skin blend and then another favorite of mine is this rose water skin blend i like the dimensions it adds to the cheekbones it's a very um angelina jolie kind of look and we love that give me a strong cheekbone so this was made by la matisse la matisse does have a lot of good skin overlays skin details so if that's your thing definitely would suggest another skin blend i like is the honey skin blend with this one i really enjoy the nose highlight i also enjoy after glow skin blend by mousy sims on female sims it looks like this shout out to the kitten skin blend as well and then with the kitten skin blend it's only four female sims this is only for female sims but i like the eye bags that it adds and then a very smooth look very matte you would say but it's very nice and i did save you one of the best ones for last um this is not only a skin overlay but it's also a skin details pack which i highly would suggest downloading can add some unique features to your sims some unique dimensions and we're a fan okay it comes with the bold and the beautiful this skin blend this one right here but not only does it come with that it does come with a couple other fun things like here there's some nice cheek details to add dimensions of dimples you can add dim it's crazy you can add dimples i got a dimple so i would love to add dimples in the sims there's some like eye bag eye details as well we love them but what i find myself using the most um is the nose the nose masks just because you can give your sim just a little bit more definition to their shin out and some lip details girl girl got some kylie jenner lips up in here all together it looks kind of crazy but you know you mess around have fun do your thing you can make a really good looking sim in regards to some other skin details one thing in particular i do highly suggest is you know getting yourself a vitiligo set vitiligo overlay skin detail it's interesting very cool very fun i personally used it here on our sim hadley rose we did a creative sim for her on the channel and i used it there but i just love that you know you could make a more unique sim with an overlay like this so go ahead and download her we love to see diversity now if you ever have a skin blend that doesn't have a nose highlight but you want to add nose highlight i got the thing for you don't i got the thing for you i use it on every single one of my sims every single one right there right there oh it's beautiful okay let me show you the difference without it because our sims gonna look busted okay it's all the way here at the very end or without it her face is so flat it's so boring her with it beautiful she's an icon a beauty guru a beauty legend that knows highlight we i'd love to see it um so yeah that's there there's also blush there should be right here in the cheek scars it's moo moo blush by squeamish sims um i definitely would suggest getting some sort of like blush overlay for your sims because it can add some dimension to their face but also be very cute some people like a light look i'm on the lighter side some people love the bright red look and honestly whatever your vibe is i would suggest it so moo moo blush squeamish shims they do their thing they got it going on over there uh the peach fair rear i use a freckles pack that i've linked down below um by peach ferrer and um i definitely uh enjoy it i enjoy putting freckles on every single one of my sims so i have that one linked but then there's also this one by softer haze this is one of my favorite freckles packs because there's just a good chunk of swatches to add some real diversity in there for your options on how you want your freckles to look whether they look like a zodiac constellation or they're just random you know it's beautiful we love it put some freckles on your sims also highly suggest mikko cc they have a face kit going on and we love to see it but it just adds some dimension to your sims face but this one's kind of like an all in one you could do the lips the cheeks the chin that's just some different shadows and dimensions to add there so definitely would suggest downloading her placed in a bunch of different categories here so you can layer them on and do your thing the boyfriend brought me food so uh i'm gonna take a brief intermission and go much on that and be right back five minutes later hey i'm back everybody say thanks boyfriend in the comments for the food thanks boyfriend seriously this man gives me a life so thank you all right now getting back into it eyelashes i could not live without replacement eyelashes for the sims 4. these ones by lay lilith specifically are so gorgeous these give me life truly eyelash extensions for the gods another one i use is the kijoko skintitel eyelashes the eyelashes i'm using right here on my little semi-sim sim gurl um they're in the glasses category and there's just a bunch of different swatches i actually use them kind of both together i use the kajokijoko ones for under eyelashes you know they have top lashes as well but it's cool it's great get your replacement eyelashes i do however use a lash filler mod as well it just kind of adds like a line of smaller eyelashes to your sim um specifically for the lay lilith ones i like to use that because it helps blend them in to the natural uh sims eye a little bit better i sound like a booty guru so like here for example it kind of just looks like eyeliner the second swatch i use the most but it just it looks nice it's good it's a little small detail probably wouldn't bother many of you but for me i just like to have it in regards to some smaller items that i'd like to cover um i sound so professional and formal i don't want to go through linking a bunch of clothes and makeup and things like that but i do just want to briefly touch on it for my sims game if you're curious where i get my makeup from it's basically all from cryptic sims one of the best makeup creators in the community so i do just want to mention that you could go through his download page and find one two three things to download and you would love them i can almost guarantee it where i get basically all my makeup from so and additionally i do just want to mention if you're in the mood to get some custom content clothes a harris oo britney has some of the best custom content clothing packs ever you can get 50 plus cast items um add them into your game it's good you'll have about 100 150 custom content clothing items and they all are amazing and great this is something that i use all the time a must-have i can't play the sims without having these packs installed in my game you honestly might not even have to download any other clothes if you didn't want to these are great i love these and it does look like there's one coming out later this month i might die my game's about to explode with the amount of cc that's going to be in it this hair on our sim here is from sim celebrity it's right here from the wedding collection i have the ombre one installed that's the one we have on our sim here very cute um in regards to hair however must-have creators i get most of my hair from sim celebrity definitely get a lot of my hair from them i get a lot of my hair from a harris o o brittany and from sim trouble as well but on that note i think that's the video y'all that's my must-have custom
