my first time watching NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (yes, for owen wilson 😅) | movie commentary!!

all right guys i really want to do something like this since we finished the loki series and everyone was talking about owen wilson never did oh wow and it made me realize that i haven't actually seen anything else that owen wilson has been in other than the first cars movie to be fair i thought i had already seen this movie at some point in my childhood but when i was describing it to my friend she had to stop me and go jess nicholas cage stealing the declaration of independence is not night at the museum so i actually have not seen this although i do have some weird recollection of like i know there's a little roman guy and a little cowboy because i have seen the gif sets on tumblr for reference i did think the uh cowboy and the roman were together and also helping steal the declaration of independence so somehow tumblr gif sets and nicholas cage just they merged i don't know what timeline i'm living in but it's that one anyways i am excited to watch this film i am excited to see owen wilson maybe he'll do the wow everyone keeps talking about i really feel like i've just lived a completely different life than everybody else but that's fine that's not new i live under a rock but that's okay my rock has books and my rock has ac i feel like it's all you need you know it's all you need however i would also like to get up to date on what everyone else is talking about so if y'all are ready to watch this movie let's go oh good the release date says 2006 so i should have watched this over a decade ago but that's fine [Music] god i wish i was in new york me watching any movie set in new york city wait is the premise that the museum comes to life too because just realize there are dinosaurs oh that's unfortunate oh this guy looks familiar all right any movie just instantly goes up when paul rudd shows up you didn't get evicted again did you i didn't get evicted i didn't get it he's looking like i didn't not not get evicted hey dad hey is it awkward that the kid kind of looks like paul rudd's kid i don't want to give this poor man any more insecurities though where do you want to be i'm a bond trader bond trader yeah it's what don does i would also want to be paul rudd when i grow up so i feel that trust me can't play hockey in the cubicle kind of awkward well he's got a pretty big office my god this poor kid's already had life beaten out of him things have been kind of up and down for me lately and that's been hard for you but i really feel like my moment's coming and when it does i'm rooting for him i'm just gonna come together he has effective communication and he's actually speaking openly to this kid what if you're wrong and you're just an ordinary guy you should get a job oh damn no okay he did not need to come at him so hard what if you're an ordinary guy who just needs to get a regular job he came at him i feel called out by this movie already what if you're just an ordinary person what if you're nothing special no okay everyone is special this kid's already stressing me out maybe this movie's not the best movie to watch when you're having a quarter life crisis uh maybe this is why i should have watched it a decade ago as a child when it doesn't hit you so hard because you're low-key about to be the adult in the movie who has no fall back great i wonder if the kids who watched this a decade ago are doing okay with their fallback plans come on let's get it back to mom he really is using effective communication though so i'm rooting for him he treated that child like an actual proper adult and like spoke to the kid with respect i've never seen a resume quite like yours ah all right it's a compliment please that wasn't a cub [ __ ] i can't help you oh damn ma'am is it your job to help i didn't feel the connection i like duffy though this is debbie's fallback oh my god this is so cool this is so exciting this is a museum no is that a real act you know what museum means at the risk of offending someone who might actually be british he sounds like an american trying to copy james corden good to meet you larry nice firm handshake like that tells a lot about a man did anyone else get taught that as a child you had to have a firm handshake for people to value you my handshake was so firm as a child because i was so worried that people wouldn't think i was a decent human being if i had a weak handshake that like the older woman's bones in their hands would like crack at church when you shake their hands i apologize to every single elderly woman whose hands i have shaken in my youth because there were many bones crunching many many bones crunching and i'm not proud of that not proud of that the museum is losing money hand over fist i guess kids that they don't care about wax figures or stuffed animals then you have a branding issue you need help you hiring gentlemen we have a job candidate here he's got an excellent resume a winning attitude and i say let's give him a shot what do you say shouldn't the british director be hiring him and not the people getting fired slip into my orthopedics and give you a little i love that that's what it means that's hilarious this movie was seriously scaring children don't get old and have a fallback plan oh yes he's the one okay you've been vibe check dude keep it moving larry i'm pretty surprised because he's got his orthopedic shoes on i remember these little guys i also loved making dioramas as a child i probably would have loved this movie ah are you allowed to be touching the exhibit sir he's really touching it and here we have our easter eye matt smith okay i'm slowly realizing how dangerous this museum would be to come to life 24 karat gold worth a fortune that should probably be behind a glass case it can get a little spooky around here at night so you might want to put a few likes this is actually amazing because he could just chill at night and write a novel this is like perfect don't bet anything in or out out yeah the people hiding in the bathroom can't let them out you could literally write a novel you have so much down time i guess he doesn't have down time if this museum actually is coming to life though how do you hide from the t-rex that's my question because the front desk is right there hello oh my god he's definitely on a video camera somewhere sir i thought he was going to say i am groot oh my god well if anyone was hiding in the stall in the bathroom they're regretting their but decision vibe with you buddy you got a job let's do it he did not do this to-do list it's a bit worrying he really said i'm gonna procrastinate to the last two hours which is relatable that's problematic it's very nice of the dinosaur not to eat them though although i guess if a skeleton eats you you kind of just fall through what is this 2006 i don't think you've got invisibility powers yet i say as if we have invisibility powers now you don't have a gun you just got the flashlight so you can see how much [ __ ] you're in he was just thirsty ain't nothing wrong with that oh my god his little toe is getting i guess maybe they don't have cameras oh does he just want to play oh you can give him some pets too while you're playing this dinosaur is like this human is so dumb i want to play fetch throw the bone buddy oh my god look at the little tail wiggle you know what i have no gum gum i'm sorry and my name isn't dum-dum name's larry no your name dum-dum yeah at this point you didn't read the instructions you might as well go by dum-dum you better run run from attila oh [ __ ] [Music] i hope the museum exhibit did not just break can you imagine if he has to like hot glue the poor attila the hun's head back on in the morning oh my god every room is more dangerous than the last what happens if you die in this situation i guess you're just dead they wake up and they find someone shot to death lock up the lions or they'll eat you and that's in red that seems important wait is it galileo oh i was like my first reaction too thank you very very much okay if the monkey did that much damage we are screwed with the lions screwed with the lions dexter dexter it doesn't look like they have a digital copy either look at this he did it he did it where's owen wilson watch owen wilson be like the voice actor for one of these monkeys i know you're so screwed this is a survive the night type of movie we we skipped genres now we're in horror oh oh right in the pore oh oh they're just vibing over in that one that diorama seems fun they got songs look at them oh hey wow these little mini guys could do some damage here ah i'm done boys well we found him oh my god owen wilson is the mini cowboy big no can do cracker jack i'm literally picturing mobius [Music] crying out loud they really thought it would work you guys are really little that seems offensive but our hearts are large metaphorically speaking good for you oh take the hand son good teddy roosevelt he's got us there's the source of all this commotion oh yeah this definitely should be behind glass put me down hell yes oh my god we got a portable oh and wilson it makes me feel small powerless oh no that's really sad look he's got effective communication why do i feel like there are definitely fanfictions of loki with a pocket-sized mobius now this is not worth 11.50 an hour this is not worth 11.50 an hour also 11.50 an hour in 2006. i mean what is that probably like our 15 an hour it's poor man how is he affording rent new york city look he survived the night honestly i don't know what's wrong with them running around as long as they stay in the museum they all seem fine going back to their original positions ah oh my god does the planetarium come to life too dad hey child into this experience you won't be disappointed yeah cause he might die you're bringing a child into an environment you haven't figured out yet can you at least lock the animals up before you allow your kid out i prefer hanging out with people who are dead for 200 years it's the live ones that throw me that was the most relatable thing i've ever heard i think it's time that i move on to another subject that is so bogus imagine writing 900 pages and then be like i hit a dead end who she 100 would not give up i don't think you should give up on your paper okay why because you already dakota same though this man truly hired the person he thought would be so dumb to not look at the history book i don't know they're a little bit old for limb ripping you limb rip him his limbs might come off we paired everyone up them sacagawea and teddy jet and octavius what would you like to know everything she's a whole dissertation i don't know how they're going to clean up the mess in the lobby though the broken glass he screwed we lost a couple of good little minutes we did not lose them great victory comes great sex oh my god no we didn't even look for them oh thank god no one even looked for them good on you guys look at them they survived a car crash i love them you're getting rid of us that easy good your father's a great man you better clean up fast and hope that guy is late to work honestly you're screwed these appear to be tyrannosaurus rex tracks just a pr move they think it's a pr campaign and explanation it's pr you're welcome i'll take your keys in your flashlight sir this man does not understand the power of advertisement exactly exactly it's called advertising buddy advertising public relations look at that that's how you do it the funniest thing he genuinely didn't even need to fire those people he could have just done a pr campaign and brought the money in oh my god this is magical that's when history comes alive it sells itself oh my god i love this [Applause] [Music] oh my god yes this is a vibe he unified the whole museum he unified history all wars in history could have been stopped could have just had one sick dance party yes also mobius driving is so funny to me i keep calling him mobius i know his name is jen it's hip-hop happening in there tonight is the right oh my god that was so good that was so sweet i wish i had watched it as a child because i think i probably would have loved it then that was so good a little magical realism sprinkled in did owen wilson say wow in this did i miss it i think i must have missed it if he did say it but anyways i am glad i finally watched this movie because it was a lot of fun and it was really clever like i actually really enjoyed the humor in this except for him you know taunting the people and smacking the monkey that humor is a little bit but the dialogue really clever anyways thank you guys so much for watching this movie with me give this video a big thumbs up if you liked it
