I can't deal with this... | Despicable Me (movie reaction)

hello my friends and welcome back to my channel i'm eric and today we are watching despicable me an animated movie from 2010 i know like nothing about this i know that it's the movie that spawned the minions the little yellow dudes that have been they were like everywhere for a while and yeah that's that's basically everything i know i don't know who does the voices of the characters i don't really know what the plot is i know it's about a bad guy a villain and minions and some kids and that is in essence everything i know i am however still looking forward to it because these like animated movies are always fun like they're always very wholesome they're always they they always leave you with a like feel-good feeling after watching them they always have these like universal stories that are easy to understand and like it's it's often about acceptance like being accepted for who you are not trying to change yourself to something that you're not in order to fit in but like try to find acceptance by being who you are and that it's okay to be different and all that jazz and uh yeah it's often about friendship and it's in general very wholesome stuff so i'm excited for it that's why i was like why do they care i mean it's a pile of rocks it's not gonna be damaged but apparently the pyramids were fake that's outrageous or at least one of the pyramids was fake stolen and replaced by a giant inflatable replica oh you're going to have to pump for quite a while to protect their beloved landmarks that's overkill which of the world's villains is responsible for this heinous crime i think we know yes it's the main character [Music] there you go you're not gonna cry okay no guess not it's a very different look compared to what you're used to seeing like compared to the last animated movie i watched was which was how to train your dragon the hidden world which was insanely gorgeous this is not gorgeous this is more it has a very like specific style go wherever they want to go unless they're dead i'm joking he's not it joking a recording no it isn't yes it is watch this yeah watch this you're really convincing if i recorded message agnes come on i can already tell i'm gonna enjoy agnes just stole a pyramid this ain't he makes all other villains look lame yeah not very super big i just heard big boss there's a lot of minions you guys you probably heard about this other villain who stole the pyramids yeah that was pretty impressive am i upset no i am not no you shouldn't be upset you should see this as a a challenge to overcome like something to inspire you to do bigger and better things well we stole the times square jumbo yeah that's peanuts compared to stealing the great pyramid of giza we stole the statue of liberty that is a bit more from las vegas no okay never mind i was gonna say that's a bit more significant wait wait i haven't told you what it is yet they just they get excited [Music] that's a nice pose you do realize that's gonna mean disaster for you as well you can't just remove it it's not just there for decoration you know it does stuff ah yes orphans hello girls anybody came to adopt us while we were out let me see is she a good person or a horrible eyewitness no horrible okay okay i was just curious we sold 43 mini mints 30 taco swirlies and 18 coconutties that was not good enough i don't think don't you yeah we wouldn't want to spend the weekend in the box of shame would we walk some i think so oh the bank is in on its bank of evil [Music] i see formerly lima brothers that's a good one [Laughter] that was funny that was really funny seven times 10 to the power of 22 it said right someday i'm going to go to the moon that's a lot of ways isn't sending the monkeys anymore oh she was horrible even when he was young i'm applying for a new villain loan go by the name of vector okay who's this guy and who actually stole the pyramid i wonder well very nice what a design shrink ray apple is you if we don't start getting our money back get the picture yes we get the picture fellow out there named victor he just stole a pyramid oh so it was him who's behind this shrink ray i wonder he has very unconventional designs for his vehicles what a villain stealing stuff from another villain that's rude oh no oh i hate that guy yeah me too sleeping no bugs for crying miss hattie is the real villain so far in this movie the pyramid is expertly disguised you're a bit too old-fashioned group it seems like [Music] that was a good one that was the magic word oh he wants to use them to infiltrate but you were kind of a douche to them the first time around since my wife debbie passed on very convincing you have a face [Music] oh isn't that donkey i bet the mom is beautiful i bet the daddy's eyes sparkle i bet their house is made of glass oh this is this is kind of heartbreaking they're getting their hopes up so much and he just wants to use them [Laughter] don't know about this i mean kids anything has to be better than this like for real this woman is pure evil [Laughter] yeah i don't know this wait a is you're the guy who pretended he was a recorded message yes he was [Laughter] yes this looks promising i'm sure you're gonna melt his heart eventually girls as you can see i have provided everything a child might need [Music] i don't know if you know these kids are so adorable oh he didn't hear cookie robots he heard boogie robots that is cool yeah let's go kids i think he's a dentist no i don't think so either [Laughter] you kids are way too smart anti-gravity sir [Laughter] uh so far no no they don't okay yeah then he's not gonna be fine yes that was mean [Music] oh yeah they're gonna love the minions what are those they are my cousins you have a lot of they're cousins their best life yeah how did you think this was a good idea group i mean this place is hardly ideal for these kids but compared to miss hattie's place it's way better but we can't go to sleep without a bedtime story well then it's going to be a long night for you isn't it that was spanish wasn't it [Music] like that house on the outside is not anywhere near large enough considering what it contains want to go you are going to have to walk yourselves as if that's anything new for them considering where they've been so far here we go one two three [Laughter] you're such a pushover the hips on the one on the right my goodness thank you promise oh yes my pinky promises do you have my cookies for me alright the first time they were there they just took the order they didn't deliver [Music] no this almost went so perfectly fine fish this is so close i love it this is awesome i finally made it out yeah we actually did it we got the shrink ray here we go please no but we've never been and it's the funnest place on earth don't care how do you know if you've never been oh [Laughter] ah i see yeah because he doesn't need them anymore now [Music] oh yeah it's too soon still but they're gonna win you over and then eventually he's gonna have to make a choice between the girls and his ambitions and he's gonna choose the girls of course oh my gosh look at that fluffy unicorn oh that's a big one yeah she needs she needs that one all you gotta do to win it is knock down that little spaceship there it's easy yeah let's see then gru is going to lose his patience with this game just one more i accidentally closed my eyes it's impossible to say no to these girls they're too gosh darn cute since it's a carnival game it's obviously rigged no it's not knocked over do you know what that means professor it means you don't get oh you shouldn't trigger him like this yeah let's do this [Music] and it's still not knocked over that's ridiculous [Laughter] [Music] oh that's so cute there you go oh that was so cute i can't even deal with it i figured that you would want to see this [Music] well done crew rather impressive he didn't like that perkins because he's in league with victor you don't seem terribly focused no he is slightly distracted but my plan is a great plan i love everything about your plan except for one thing it involves you yeah on the macaroni prototype [Music] yeah that's more no so this has been an ambition of his for quite a while it's over goodbye gru [Music] you'll be fine gru you'll get vindicated you have three new minions or sidekicks if you will that are going to be much uh that are going to give you quite the leg up over everyone else sell cookies we are doomed can't you see that i'm in the middle of a pep talk that is so gosh darn cute [Music] god damn it man you have friends who believe in you [Music] it's pink it's a fine color nice marshmallows [Music] yeah he's with the kids instead is that vector the sun yes it oh no that's why don't worry the moon is as good as ours why do you want it all right to extort the the world will you read as a bedtime story you will this time come on this is garbage you actually like this keep reading come on you're making such a fuss now make them drink the milk that is so cute this movie is way way cuter than i thought it would be your mommy loves you with all her heart yeah that's something new for you isn't it crew no no no there will be no kissing or hugging or kissing you're wearing him down girls just keep going oh they need to go if you don't do something about it then i will no you won't don't you dare oh oh no even if you do steal the moon it's going to get recent okay excuse me girls don't worry i'll be back all he needed was someone people who loved him what are you doing here i'm here for the girls i received a call that you wanted to return them no no way i will get the girls ready you can't do this come on gru let's go get that moon right come on man he looked so he was so he was becoming so happy with his new life no don't don't know oh it was his space suit that was made pink yeah you're finally here it's not every day you get a rocket launch in your neighborhood [Music] that was he was remarkably ineffective [Laughter] is that it for him i think that's it for vector at least for the moment [Music] so i wonder how long the shrinking lasts like a couple of weeks i don't think the effect would be that fast that is so silly i've got the moon yeah priority screw what do you really care about he'll be there girls still not here why would he come he gave us up but he pinky promised just wait a few more minutes oh her puppy dog eyes are insane we have to warn him and fast that was a good joke [Music] oh my goodness sad [Music] all the girls are sad oh no so victor is not done oh no i don't know if you want to be happy about that no sorry buddy you let them down gru ah and then the moon is gonna come back at victor's place that's how he's gonna get defeated i'm really scared yeah he's actually angry [Music] oh my goodness grew where did this come from there you go [Music] yeah nefario's got your back this time [Music] hey boss what's up the larger the mass of an object the quicker the effects of the shrink ray wear off i call it oh that's how it works [Music] hey nice you're going to have to jump jump are you insane maybe a little jump now that's brave [Music] oh the minions enjoy space dude [Music] leaving everyone to wonder who is this mysterious hero and what will he do next very dramatic camera switches oh look there's a puppet book here was just that's too hard oh that's so sweet three little kittens came around and turned his whole life upside down man that one looks like me this movie has had me like on the verge of breaking like many times the end okay all right and good night kiss oh jesus yeah it's doing me in big big time oh margo you sweetie [Music] the next recital with all the minions oh no it's at their place [Music] gru ray disc nice turned out to be a great parent unlike you just like me no don't you even dare [Music] just roll with it bro [Music] oh this is awesome [Music] ouch [Music] oh it's way closer [Laughter] okay so that was despicable me and that was very much the opposite of despicable my goodness that was so cute and heartwarming oh who am i i am a very sentimental person ah that got to me good on many many occasions actually and that really left a warm feeling remarkably touching steve carrell really did a great job with the voice as grew everyone else was also really solid but he really stood out and also as like the voice performance of miss hattie was also really exceptional i thought she was she was the really despicable one in this movie i also really enjoyed the character designs and overall just like the just overall the art direction of the movie and like the designs of tools and vehicles and like yeah everything the design all the designs i was really enjoyable as i said the most recent movie animated movie i've seen was how to train your dragon in the hidden world and that one was very much like a technical tour divorce like it was technically incredibly um advanced it was so gorgeous in in general but especially like the technical proficiency you could tell that that cost a lot of money to make and i didn't get the same feeling with this it felt like simpler but very very effective and i really enjoyed the designs like it's less a it's less an impressive display of technical skill and more about heart i don't know if that's a good way to to put it but like it's more about character and it's more about style yeah this was really really adorable and i really was not ready for how emotional this was gonna be one of my absolute favorite parts i mean i just watched it so like i'm gonna need more time to digest and like probably re-watch and stuff to really figure out what i think but one of my favorite parts was at the uh at the amusement park the the the game they played with the the spaceship when gru was got very upset that this is a scam that was that was awesome this was a funny movie though like it was really funny but for me while it was funny really funny it was more touching it was more heartwarming than funny and i'm kinda really looking forward to watching the second one when i have the chance i don't know if there's more than that i know that there is a second one but i think that's it right and then there's a minions movie with just the minions but i don't think there's a third one but yeah i'm definitely gonna check out the second one as soon as i'm able do subscribe if you want to stick around for that but yeah that's it for today i'm just gonna go and just sit with this feeling because this was yeah it left it left a very feel good feeling in me which i i predicted it would i mean all of these animated movies do that and with the happy endings and the
