My Feel Free Moken 10 V2 Just Got Delivered!!

hey guys welcome back to mark d outdoors okay this is video number two i want to do a video tonight it's about 10 15 but i'm really excited because today i decided to upgrade my fishing kayak i just had it delivered at nine o'clock tonight i went from a lifetime teton aka teton however you want to pronounce it uh to a brand new feel free moken 10 i did my research i didn't want to get anything over 10 feet because i still wanted to fit in my truck along with my other kayaks uh and yeah i decided to go ahead and do it i wanted something i could stand up in more stability and decide to go ahead and do that so what i'm going to do is give you guys a quick little uh overview of it and then tomorrow i plan on taking it out and giving a first test so let's go check it out [Music] um [Music] okay so let's start from the bow to the stern and go over the feel free moken 10 desert camo edition here so starting from the back you have a handle that's attached you also notice there is a molded handle on the back for carrying and it is already pre-drilled and ready to go to attach a rudder system so and that goes all the way to the front so already done ready to go right over here we have the drain plug which a little bit different than my teton where this will actually unscrew uh you have to ability to lose it if you're not careful but i'm not gonna take it all the way out right now but you unscrew that for your drain plug in case you get any water inside but uh one of the cool things that i really like about this uh this kayak weighs about 65 pounds without the seat but underneath you have the feel free patented wheel and keel system so that way if i am by myself and i want to get down to the you know my fishing spot and get it off the ramp a little bit easier to travel with it so right up here you have your built-in metal rails it is proprietary so i am going to have to get some adapters to for my scotty mountain equipment for my fishing rod order you know my cup holder things like that i saw on you know amazon you can get like six adapter pieces for like 24 bucks yak attack so i'll probably end up doing that of course you have your scope holes back here nice big tank well for storage definitely big enough for your milk crate one of the things that i really like about this is the bungee system see if i can do it one hand here you have the oh you have a little clip here well you see there's a clip i can't do it with one hand so we'll just take my word for it [Music] all right so one aside here you have on each side you have the little area a little strap here for your paddle so you have one on each side which is really nice and then flush mount fishing rod holders with built-in leashes for your rods love that idea all right so as you move up you're going to notice that you have built-in handles on the sides so handles right here for carrying a nice sturdy handle so you have to worry about them yanking off and then when you go into the cockpit here this is where some cool stuff is i really like especially for fishing right here on the inside you have a little storage area for a plano box plano box uh right here for your tackle little tackle storage on both sides so now what i like about this too is the seat so the seat is pretty comfortable that's one of the things i liked about my teton right there is the seat was nice and comfortable this has a nice sturdy seat high back to it foam built really well but what i like about it is it's adjustable so right now it's in a high position which i am going to love especially for fishing and then if you don't want that you can just put it in like a normal lower position for when you're paddling and then you have the little strap here that you can tighten it in so to make sure it doesn't go anywhere so you just tighten that up nice metal sturdy made really well so you have that all right so of course you have some more gear tracks up here so that way you have um you know your ample you know accessories that you can add on here so you have that you have a still has a wire tire on it so brand spanking new you have your stand up strap right here to help you stand up because this is able to you know withstand the stability is supposed to be really good in this kayak where you can stand up do some casts you have the molds here with the fiberglass built into it to uh little pads right there to make it easier for you to stand up little platform all right so just like i said before in the back it's already pre-drilled and ready to go for a rudder system and as you notice you have it already ready to go up here drilled for the wires to come through on both sides so you have that ready to go for you makes it a lot easier to upgrade to that rudder system and next uh probably one of the things that i'm more excited about than i probably should be but are these adjustable foot rests here so on my previous kayak the lifetime over here the lifetime teton it has the molded foot rests uh which are nice but if you're like me and your feet fall like right in between as far as the length of your legs go and it makes it as not a comfortable paddle as it should be right here i have the ability to turn adjust and lock back in places by turning it back so turn adjust lock and it's back in place really easy system love easy love it and next you notice right here you have a little compartment so you just click that open pull it up top now at first glance you're probably thinking hey man that's awesome i can put my cell phone in there anything that i don't want to get wet but if you look a little closer there are no seals right here to prevent it from being waterproof so you can still put some things in there maybe a water bottle maybe some lures that you're going to end up using if you don't want to reach around and get in your milk crate um or you know your pliers things like that thing things that you're going to need you want quick access to right in there just like that really easy system on the top it has a little lip here so if you want to put some things maybe if you want to put your your you know your fish grips or something right there so you don't lose them if they're ready you know they're readily available they're right there there you go up front you got some tank well storage on the front nice deep storage area here uh put your life vest put a cooler whatever you want up there uh scupper holes right there as well and then the same bungee system as you saw on the back with a little clip where you can take that apart so let's see here see if i can do that boom just like that and then connect it like so really easy so there you at go oh yeah and then of course on the front you have the molded handle so that is the feel free milk and 10. just want to give you guys a quick walk through on it i am super stoked to get it out on water i will be uh putting it out on the water tomorrow that way i can uh give it a test spin and see what i think i'll do a quick little video on that tomorrow too hopefully i can catch some fish for you guys but there you go they'll feel free smoking 10 desert camo color all right guys
