so in this video I'm gonna recap my top 10 street food spots in all of Tokyo so over the past year I've been to so many different street food spots and a lot of you guys asked me where my favorite foods basically I wanted to take the time in this video to kind of review all the places I've been and make a top 10 list of all of my favorite spots for this video like there's no particular order but it's basically like if you had to have Kody pond where would you go or if you had to head shaved ice where would you go oh before I begin to check out my Tokyo merch also if you want to see what I'm doing throughout the week or what I'm doing these videos definitely check out my Instagram account alright so let's begin the very first plugs actually will like one of my favorites this Galaxy Beam number one is the very total don't Matt Cadogan it's at Tsukiji market that's like the buttery sashimi tuna that I've ever had in front of this store there's almost like a a performance aspect to the shop as well they cut up the fish right in front of you you can see them like freshly cutting up the tuna and there's like a variety of different Vento's that you can get I chose the most expensive one because I had to like show you guys in the video but definitely worth trying like at least in my opinion you only live once another place I wanted to mention is this food is from store called anubian they have this watb mochi and it's probably one of the best moti's i've ever had like what he'd be mochi it's it has like this brown pinnacle powder on it and it actually has a lot of water in it so it's kind of like a mix between mochi and like a jelly consistency and so that's why you get it like just almost like dripping when you pick it up oh and one thing it's interesting about this spot is a lot of people go to naka-meguro and walk along the river and like it's a kind of like a date place but this spot was kind of like hidden in the like residential area kind of hidden and that was actually one of my favorite watb emojis I've had in all of Tokyo so definitely if you're looking for a walk Oishi then definitely hit up this spot the third place we're gonna talk about curry pond place it was kind of difficult because there's so many different could curry palm places like there's one in Tabuchi Ginza that I really like but it's like this place one out just slightly the curry pond place in Shimokitazawa is kind of my my go-to if I had to go to like a curry place it's called can Maya and what I like about this place is that coupon itself is crunchy like it served warm it had like a nice egg in it and so it kind of like unique to all the other Tori puns we've had a little bit oily but that's like kind of what I like what's nice about the shop itself you can actually go inside and have curry in that shop and it's like in the middle of Shimokitazawa so it's not that hard to find so if you're looking for a good curry bone place then check out Tim I am so the next place people ask me like where my favourite crepe spot is kind of like a very Japanese thing they've taken French crepe and they've just Panna fide it and made it like their own like they're just so many crepe spots in Tokyo and I just couldn't choose on which one I like the best so I come out to go at to the place that I like the most is in keachi Joe Chee it's called circus it's like this Shack looking planes it doesn't look like it should be serving crepes it's like Mexico pachinko shop that was under construction so what I loved about it is it's such a volume is like this is so much volume to that crepe and it was just simple yet delicious I even put ice cream in there and it was just literally a full meal but they've been like in business for like such a long time and you can tell like the the way that they've made the crepes like that's like on their family recipe so definitely if you're looking for a really nice delicious and like how do you say a satisfying crepe that's the spot and you can tell because it's always in line for that crepe spot on the other end this scale if you're looking for like more than like an elegant and kinda like a classy crepe then definitely you need to go to Harajuku there's a place called conch rape and it was one of my first street food videos I did basically it's a it's a creme brulee and it's funny because I say like oh it's like flame-broiled and a lot of people killed me on the comments this is a crepe man it's like a plain brown Frank to be honest it as I didn't know brulee like oh man you guys are like you guys are so mean to me say that in the comments it was nice because it had this flame-broiled aspect to it I like that top it was nothing like the other crepes I've had before it was just a very elegant and well done crepe I thought it also is quite heavy as I didn't skimp on the ingredients which is nice for me value is is important so if you get like a little piece of well Gashi or something and it costs like 2,000 yen like oh that's great but cost me 2,000 yen I think that both places you get your money's worth definitely recommend both spots now I want to go to one of my favorite yaki said on both places first of all all the Chinese people sorry they pronounce it differently in Japan I know you guys have your way of calling it in Chinese but in Japan they just call it yaki Trump out and I've been to several different places but out of all the places my favorite is to go see Ginza the Gucci Ginza is a street that's like it's four kilometers long and it has a bunch of street food on there but one of like the highlights of that place is this yucky stomp out there's actually frying it in front of the restaurant and you can see there's like people will like buy it right in front of the restaurant and they'll just like eat it on the side it's so good you get it still fresh and when you bite into it you get all of the meat juices and all the oils everything that's like been cooked in this like nice succulent pocket of goodness and what like really differentiated this yucky stuff from all the other places we've been to is that the bottom is this really thick deep-fried you like you feel like you're biting into something meaningful I really like the crunchy aspect of the yaki snowball in this place so again another spot you guys got a hit now for those of you guys that are searching for some pudding Michaels clapping in the background because she loves this place 21 she no tamago here's the spot it's in Shimokitazawa so basically it comes in like this plastic egg shell I think what separates it heart from everything is just the taste in general do you think since it's uh getting all the eggs locally from like a specific farm you'd think that you get like a really eggy taste but in fact more like it's creamy and thick it's almost not solid but it's like it's there's like stuff some density to it definitely you know I think pudding is another thing that's very cheap anif ID again this is my spot if you're looking for some pudding all right so so another thing that is very very Japanese is motsu and my favorite mochi place is a shop called kitsune oh and it's in Tsukiji market what's cool it's like it's just like this little shop it's not even a hole in the wall if you'd only like maybe fit like a couple people in the actual shop itself but they have this huge vat of Matsu and they cook it right in front of you and I think they didn't by cooking it feeling years and years and years they just like like replenish it and the taste is that keeps on building on the flavors it has the flavors in itself it's it's a little bit like salty and one knife but quite savory but it's just a unique taste and very Japan I think it's one of those places that you just have to try if you come to Japan if you can't do that then they also have an ice in you done which is broiled beef over rice way better than Yoshinoya and my humble opinion it's also like definitely worth trying again we've done like shaved ice and so many different street food videos which is my favorite in fact this one comes from not a street food video I actually just did it in my top 10 guide but this place is worth noting because it has the best shaved ice in Tokyo the shaved ice spot is called yellow just the texture itself of the shaved ice as well as the ingredients kind of set it apart from all the other shops I went crazy and had this mango with Oreo cookie mix it was still amazing definitely they have up all these different flavors and like the volume itself is pretty hearty but this place has a line for days in the summer so that's like just be careful if you go into this place alright so the next one is another while gushy or you guys I'm trying to like kind of do savory foods have sweet foods in this video so that you guys can kind of like to cover everything so the next place is in Ginza this place has this Hamo kusa mochi this one's from a shop called dodo Maya and it's in judo Ginza basically what it is is it has mochi and then on top of it it has strawberry inside of it that has uncle which is like a red bean but sets apart this one has one the strawberry was so fresh it's like one of the biggest strawberries I've ever had I just you bit into it and is like the juice is just like burst in your mouth and you can taste all like the sweet tangy kick to it mixed with a mochi which is like this we texture then get like a hint of the red bean paste and like that whole combination and just how well it went together in this particular shop I was just unbeatable and I think a lot of it is just because the strawberries that they used were so fresh and just so flavorful that it just it was a game changer and last but not least you guys always ask me or like my favorite fried chicken spot is and in fact I do have a lot of favorite fried chicken spots and even the conbini has a pretty good fried chicken to be honest with you but I've noted this in my hundred one things to do in Tokyo video is that my favorite is the karaage at least called you Cuddy in Osaka what said it's it apart from itself is that it's just like a regular shop but Fried Chicken itself it has this like amazing golden-brown crunchy skin you bite through that initial layer you get this moist succulent piece of meat the meat juices just like fly out oh man I want to go back there right now and add that fried chicken well like really really like puts it over the top is they have a spicy version of it and like all the other places don't have it I love spicy food as you guys have like seen my other videos I love like spicy food so when I'm looking for fried chicken and I get brilliantly cooked fried chicken plus like the spiciness it's game over got my take my money so that was like a recap of this like last year and all the food spots but there's gonna be so many more food spots to come in this coming year so definitely like stay tuned to the channel let me know if you have any comments on like what next spots you guys want me to do if you liked this video definitely hit that like button and help me out if
