walls with my mom's lipstick wrestled with my siblings in the neighborhood kids almost committing attempted murder stole someone's lunch money while I sold hardcore drug candies in school my parents as much as they love me couldn't deal with another pain in the butt after getting home from a full on day's work and ever since traumatizing my brother by smacking him down with a flight of stairs my parents made the rational decision to hire yayas in Translation caretakers to take care of us hiring caretakers is very common in the Philippines and you don't necessarily have to be a rich family to hire them my parents just needed extra hands to help around the house while they focused on their work now even though I describe myself like I'm some kind of child psychopath I wasn't necessarily that bad I wasn't a total brat unlike my other friend who used the electric fan to spit at his caretaker so he could cover more surface area I am disgusted or when my other other friend threw her cat on her caretaker while she wasn't looking now that I think about it kids are whack like why do we even procreate there were a couple of caretakers who I really liked no scratch that love to have as my mom I actually gave one of them a drawing there was me and her holding hands walking in a field of flowers and love hearts and on that drawing I wrote down I love you Yaya Jay please be my mommy and oh my God my real mom wait why did I see my real mom I only have like one real mom my mom saw this drawing and she just well mom told me she went out to get milk but we're not going to be talking about Yaya Jay or me replacing my mom this story is about Yaya Richie my evil caretaker Richie was absolutely terrible from the little memory I have of her all I could remember was that she didn't like me or any of my siblings and that she carried a stick around her which she always took out from her butt she was so ruthless that even my neighbors started calling her out from outside the house whenever it was going down I mean I know I can be a pain in the butt but she didn't have to take that metaphor literally like she could have just like hit um a rock or something like don't hit trees because trees have feelings I can never forget the time my life flashed before my eyes because this time the crap really hit the fan so there was me and my little sister in the bedroom on a hot girl's summer afternoon she was sleeping beside me and I was just not having it as a kid I hated nap time my parents were the type of parents who believed that eating bananas cause cancers because of that one post they saw on on Facebook they believe taking one hour power naps would help their kids grow taller but like everyone knows that one hour to a kid means one lifetime also guess what I'm still short as fudge napping didn't do Jack crap anyway my little sister was taking her sweet afternoon nap beside me and instead of watching paint dry by myself I sat up and I shook my little sister awake hey wake up didn't you hear Mommy and Daddy said they're gonna put you up for adoption since they don't want you anymore of course after showing her adoption papers she burst out crying but I didn't care I was having fun but it was only a matter of time until I got fed up with her and I just lay down to try to go to sleep at that moment Richie barged into the bedroom and I knew for a fact that she was wielding that damn stick I was a small hamster in a cage with a bloodthirsty snake guys you don't know how vulnerable I felt at that moment I had no blankets or pillows to cover myself I was internally screaming I felt her approaching closer and closer and closer towards me and my crying sister so I just after Richie soothed my little sister to sleep she silently left the room and the Oscar for best actress goes to Alex's corner [Music] oh my God thank you so much for this for this Oscar oh my god um first things first I I would like to just say suck on this Richie that was the very first time I ever escaped death like holy crap I couldn't believe playing possum actually worked life hack when life gives you lemons eat those lemons because you're a mad pasam now this should have been the part where I had enough fun and actually went to take a nap but nope they don't call me the eldest shitster for nothing I couldn't help but annoy my little sister all over again each time Richie entered the bedroom and left without suspecting me I got a massive kick out of it it was all fun and games until what happened next I heard the bedroom door shut and that was usually my cue to get up and traumatize my little sister awake again but what's weird was that the door was wide open and I didn't notice that at all What's it gonna be the stick or the belt what it came from behind the door God help me help me it was you all along you little that night I wanted to get back at her I wanted revenge for all the times she jumped and hit me for no good reason okay maybe I deserve getting jumped for making my sister cry like that but hey don't tell me you've never made your sibling cry before are you really siblings if you didn't take the piss at each other so at the dinner table I waited for everyone to sit down and eat together mother I have a very important matter to tell you oh my god mother is that is that milk you finally brought home milk give me give me some [Music] as I was saying yay Richie beat the crap out of me my mom sternly gave Richie a warning which I guess that's something I don't know I was gonna I wanted her to get far but anyway one look at her face she finally realized that she didn't know who she was messing with but Alex snitches get stitches and to that I say you're right I almost got my kidneys taken out because on that same night Richie took me aside and threatened me with a very sharp knife okay okay it might have been her finger but she was pointing her finger so close up to my face like it really felt she was going to gouge out my eyeballs if you ever tell on me again I swear to you that you'll be sorry [Music] I told on her to my parents again she left and stole a bunch of stuff like my Mom's necklace as much as it sucked to get your possession stolen it didn't faze my parents because it's more fun in the Philippines as for me I grew up for my apathetic actions and learned the ability to empathize with my
