a friend that was who he was now find out who he is [Music] hello and welcome back to 3abn summer camp meeting we're so glad that you have joined us again and happy sabbath to each one of you you're part of our family and thank you for making 3abn reach the entire world it's because of your prayers and financial support for this ministry or as mr danny says your ministry that we're able to spread this gospel around the world 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days in a year absolutely amazing isn't it incredible what god has done thank you for being a vessel that god can pour through and you yeah you're right and i'm thinking about this music hour mr danny i know that your family this is gonna be a quartet looking forward to hearing that once every five or ten years we get together and uh we do it if our mother were here she would have a singing uh this song what a day that will be oh amen and ever since we were little kids i think that's about the only song i can remember we ever sang is a quartet but anyway we're going to attempt that here in just a little looking forward to that but what's on your heart this evening mr danny well i'm just so thankful that we're doing up here on the sign says who is jesus and i'm so thankful because so many of us really sometimes forget we may be christians we may know all kinds of doctrines true but we really forget who jesus is because it shows if we love jesus as it will show in our actions you're right it'll it'll show when we're whitney we see people the folk are getting ready to come out here we were just talking about it yeah behind their backs we talked about them behind their backs but it was good reggie and lady love smith everywhere we go with them they're loving people they're loving on people and that's christianity at its best it is that's in its reality i've had people when we started three abn that would come to visit and want to hear about three abn so i'd let them in the house because we were just building and i've had people oh yeah they come open my cabinets and going through them and i say what are you looking for we want to see what you're eating we want to see how you you know are you eating right are you so here they were so worried and so concerned about getting what message to the world when we're supposed to be getting the message to the world about jesus christ and his saving power so i'm thankful that three abn is centering in on that and all of these speakers because i don't care how long you've been a christian we all need to concentrate keep focus on the truth about jesus christ yes amen dr vaughn what about you what does this came and he meant to you what's on your mind i i love camp meeting because you just had that sense of revival and i've felt the presence of the holy spirit just with all the programs so i'm really thankful to be here and to to be able to share jesus because so many people i'm i'm amazed at how many people don't know about him you know we kind of assume because we're in ministry that people know about him but they don't and so for us to have this theme of who is jesus it can let people know who he is and then as joey has said before who is he to you yeah amen absolutely we appreciate shelly quinn too we believe that god impressed her because we're talking about a camp meeting theme and what in three minutes she came up with the topic and all of that well she was brushing her teeth that's right i wasn't gonna say that but you can say that as a woman okay so sweetheart what's on your mind i know that you're actually one of the speakers this evening too okay yeah well i'm excited tonight we're going to hear from pastor kenny shelton i always love when he opens up the word of god he's talking tonight our risen lord you know christ's sacrifice was incredible we would not have the gift of salvation without that but if he did not rise from the dead our faith would be in vain all right and then my message following his is one of my favorite topics i think christ in our hearts you know we can say we know him but we've never met him we can preach him but we never practice even one step of christianity we can no doctrine and quote the 28 fundamental beliefs but we never experience the transforming grace of christ so my theme verse is one of my favorites ephesians chapter 3 verse 16. it says that he this is jesus would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened through his spirit in the inner man why that christ may dwell in your hearts through faith that we being rooted and grounded in love may grow up in him so tonight we're going to talk about growing in him and having christ in us the hope of glory amen looking forward to both praise the lord and i'm looking forward to this music hour i'll tell you i'm excited about it because we have of course our friends reggie and lady love smith i think tim parton's going to be with them and uh we've got a number of others we said some of my family is going to be here and we have pastor loma king and we may surprise you with a few more we're kind of playing this by ear as we go right and uh so i enjoy the music myself i'm always blessed but i know you are because you write to us and tell us so that's right and we're so thankful because while they're great artists so to speak in the term they would call them great artists but they're actually great ambassadors for jesus amen because they're not about themselves they're here tonight each and every one of them that come and the folk that we have here are here on a mission and that's to help bring jesus to a light lost and dying world and they do it and literally very few people and i i'm trying to say this without saying too much about people i want to uplift the jesus in them but literally the talents that some of the folk that we've had here at camp meetings so far reggie and lady and tim are some of those that literally they could be singing anywhere and in the world and yet they choose to serve the lord and we're so thankful that they're part of our family here at 3abn so right now we'd like to welcome reggie and lady love and tim all right amen amen thank you danny and surely is i'm so glad to have uh my family here and of course we got brother kenny and sister tammy and brother ronnie and brother tim yes so uh brother honorary brother right no no it's it's just brother it's just a brother especially when we need you to play the piano for us on here well i'm honored but um nonetheless so as uh some of you know i'm gonna move this chair back a little bit here but as uh some of you know um about once every five years i think or so we might get together as a family and sing a song and we don't really practice like we should but we decided we're senior citizens now tammy's still denying it but she's close enough she's close enough that somebody said she gets aarp and all that kind of stuff so whatever that does and about old enough versus social security but since we're all hearing the seniors uh not like young like we used to be but ever since we were little when we sang ronnie what song did mom have us do oh she always had us do the same one same one and what what a day that would be a day that will be we did that funeral too didn't we so did it thank you yeah way back and that was in year 1999 99. so it's been a while so we know brother kenny and here's the other thing you're preaching in a few minutes and when kenny was young he did not want to get up he'd rather take a whooping yes than to sing and i did and he would because he did not want to sing and of course you had four boys you know and tammy wasn't born into time and she came along little later but well quartet you got four boys tim right that's right so mom want to sing kenny was not going to sing when he was young he had the high voice he was a reggie he could sing tenor but now his voice went to second tenor and he just didn't like singing he said so he always say i'm never getting up front i get away from home i'm not ever getting up front then he turns out to be a preacher and we get him up to sing now and then that's right so but i'll admit for the stage tim if we call him and say hey brother kenny can you come over and do a sabbath school program can you come and do a worship program can you come and preach at camp meaning yes sir brother kenny can you come over and sing well i said yes this time yeah yeah but he'll usually just say well uh i don't know i mean uh if you need me i guess i will but but he's here and we're glad you're here glad all of you here and uh serving the lord so we've we've been come through life a long time we never thought we'd live to be the soul did we that's a fact that's a fact still here together and still praising the lord right amen praising the lord you know as we think about hold your mic up a little closer as we think about what a day that will be yeah we think about those that have gone to sleep yes and we shall all meet him one day yes yeah in the clouds what a day that will be [Music] shall come no more clouds in the sky no more tears to dim the eye all [Music] golden is what a day glorious day that will be all right now what a day that will be when my jesus i shall see and i look upon his face the one who saved me by his grace when he takes me by the hand and leads harmony hey y'all hey are we always saying about jesus and the joy of knowing him it's a good topic isn't it yvonne it is it is and the name of jesus is so significant because his name means he saves and that's what jesus does and there's something so sweet about his name it so fits him he saves has he saved you if you don't know him yet please please try jesus there's nothing better there's run away on this song because we've been going through stuff all week long yes we've been going through stuff all of our lives and this song talks about that through it all the world has been going through stuff right the media has been going through stuff churches have been going through stuff people watching right now are going through things in their lives and i've been trying to figure out as a pastor how do you centralize people at a time when people are just trying to figure out like one pastor i was having a conversation with a very passionate church member she said pastor i'm going through stuff for my life and he said amen sister she said pastor i'm going through some financial difficulty he said keep on going she said pastor my marriage is going through difficulty he said he kept smiling she said why are you smiling he said honey don't stop just keep going through it don't stop till you go through it don't get stuck in it and the world's coming out of a can we even predict what happened in 2020 couldn't predict it but a lot of people now as a result of that are going through questions about what's going to happen in their lives health-wise in their families churches that are still closed they're saying what do we do well andre crouch a songwriter that has really given a lot of people faith to trust god in this lyrics he says we've had many tears and sorrows we've had questions for tomorrow and this song is going to tell you how to when those questions come and they try to shake your foundation what do you do in those times well through it all will tell you the answer [Music] i've had many tears and sorrows i've had questions for tomorrow there were times that i didn't know right from wrong but in every situation god gave blessed consolation that my trials come to only make me strong listen i've been in a lot of places and i've seen so many faces that there were times that i felt so all alone but in those lonely hours yes those precious lonely hours jesus let me know that i was his own that's the reason i'm saying it through it all [Music] i learned to trust [Music] so i thank god for all the mountains and i thank him for the valley thank him for all the stones he brought me through for if i never had a problem i'd never know that god could solve them never know what faith in his word can do that's the reason i'm saying through it all yes through it all oh i learned to trust in jesus i learned to trust [Music] that's the reason we're singing through it all [Music] oh i've learned to trust in jesus i've learned to trust [Music] to depend [Music] upon god wow that's awesome amen the word of god will stand forever and ever and he can be depended on he can be trusted thank god for his word that takes us through it all and you know i will admit that there have been times in my life that i have allowed the situations around me to to be bigger than my god and um it is my prayer every morning now [Music] god be magnified in my life i want you to be bigger than all my mountains bigger than all my fears and this song says i have made you too small in my eyes oh lord forgive me and i have believed in a lie that you were unable to help me [Music] but now o lord i see my wrong heal my heart and show yourself strong and in my eyes and with my song oh lord be magnified oh lord be magnified be magnus oh lord you are highly exalted and there is nothing you can't do oh lord my eyes are on you be magnetic oh lord be magnified i have leaned on the wisdom of men o lord forgive me and i have responded to them sitting out here and hopefully the folks have been it too and tim i'm wondering if maybe you could just play we won't even sing with you to begin with but i'm thinking about and here we're getting ready to go on tour some really good preaching tonight brother kenny and sister jill but we've been focusing on jesus and how about just give us your little rendition of turn your eyes upon jesus look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace [Music] let's sing it sing it with him all right turn your eyes upon jesus [Music] in his wonderful faith [Music] us for minutes when i think about jesus i think about the compassion that he has i think about the resurrection and jesus said i am the resurrection and the life and i think about how one day soon he's going to come through the clouds of glory and take us home with him and the graves are going to open up and my mother and my father and my sister and my nephew just recently died and ladies dad and mom and all of our relatives who knew jesus who died in him because of the sacrifice that he made for us we will have eternal life so one day if we just hold on and we keep our faces turned toward him and our eyes on him we won't be able to fail why because if we abide in him if we abide in him he will carry us through jesus is with us and i'm just so grateful to know him and to be part of a ministry that helps people to know him so if you don't know jesus we've said it before if you don't know him please try him i've tried him and i've seen who he's true i've seen who he is you try him he will never let you down john sing that course your eyes upon jesus [Music] yes [Music] will grow strangely in the light of god's glory and one more time we'll do it with who jesus is and we pray this in your precious and holy name amen amen amen his body was broken so that we could live giving us the gift of eternal life he pursues us relentlessly with an everlasting
