all heard this parable before but I found it interesting as I was sitting actually I prepared this particular one while I was in California and I was in this this amazing hotel and I was in [Music] just in this exclusive area and it was hidden and it was tucked away and I was standing outside and I thought how wise this person was to decide to take this apartment complex this apartment building and turn it into a hotel and it was beautiful and that marble was absolutely gorgeous and it's a hotel but when you go in it was like being in a condo of your own you know and it was divided it was really nice had a fireplace it was really really beautiful and it was the who's who that was sneaking in to this particular hotel and they were sneaking in and from the corner of my eyes I said oh I recognized that person and I recognized that person but it really took a lot of wisdom and you know you're not gonna be able to necessarily find it because it was right there in Hollywood California and not far from it you you have the Beverly Center not far from that you got Rodeo Drive and not far from that is all these amazing things and then you you have the American writers Gil around the corner from there or whatever they call it and so it was just just tucked away and I remember driving up and and saying to the driver I said I think we're in the wrong location because you know was all these beautiful homes and it was gorgeous and it was on that day I felt like I think that I'm called to move to California because it was so gorgeous and I remember waking up and going out on the balcony looking at the trees and everything and beautiful and just looking out there and having this download as I was meditating on the five or the ten virgins and what I would teach when it came to the ten virgins and this particular parable is about Kingdom distinctives and separations as its kingdom distinguished distinct with distinctives and so it opens up in Matthew twenty five and one it says then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom so it all looks like they're doing the same thing they all have the same intention of having their lamps and they're all going to meet the bridegroom but the scripture now separates them into two categories and five of them were wise and five of them were foolish they that were foolish took their lamps took no oil with them but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps while the bridegroom tarried all slumbered and slept so you know they're all going through the same kinds of season the Dacey's in the night season so they all have their vessels they all have their limbs and everybody is slumbering and you know and sleeping and they're all resting but you don't see the wisdom Dan the Bible says at midnight there was a cry made behold the bridegroom cometh go you out to meet him then all those virgins arose trim their lips or it looks like they're all doing the same thing and the foolish said unto the wise give us of your oil for our lamps are going out but the wise answered saying not so lest there be not enough for us and you but go you rather to them and sell and buy for yourself and I want I want to stop right there one of the things that scripture says is by wisdom and sell it not you know and God began to speak to me about the power of wisdom it looks like everybody was doing two things but when it came to the crunch when it came to this great moment where everybody was waiting for and I think of opportunities that hit us and these great moments what distinguishes one from the other is not necessarily what we're doing because it all looks like we're doing the same thing but it's something that we can see behind the scene that is working and that is wisdom so today I want to talk to you about the power of wisdom and I want to extrapolate some principles I think that will become practical for you and I want to use the wisest man by the name of Solomon and start with his story in the book of second chronicles chapter 1 verse 7 to 12 it talks talks about Solomon and it says that God appeared unto Solomon and said unto him ax what I shall give thee and Solomon said unto God thou has showed great mercies unto David my father and has made me rain in his stead so he's using prayer as a technology and we're gonna really see how this is going to work for your benefit he said now Oh Lord let the promises or the promise unto David my father be established for thou has made me king over people like the dust of the earth and multitudes give me now wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before the people for who can judge this people that is so great and so the Bible said of enemy and lack knowledge let him ask for it and God will give it to you in abundance and it's beautiful because he had a position he could have asked for many things but when he asked was give me wisdom and knowledge so that I know what protocol to use this was all about protocol and so there are certain protocols that you must have in certain arenas that God will take you to because this is going to distinguish you what you do amongst your friends and your relatives in a cookout you're not going to do it when you're sitting eating with kings and governors or when you are with just friends you're not going to do it when something else is dictated to by wisdom and a lot of people are skilled and they're talented and they're doing what other people are doing and they're wondering why how is it that the most influential people are now calling for this person or they get an opportunity I have the same gifts I have the same talent but one what distinguishes one from another is their wisdom and it's wisdom hex has to be exercised you don't you don't just have wisdom it has to be exercised and eventually when the time is right all the elements begin to fall into place and one of those elements one of those factors one of those components that separates individuals is wisdom so the Bible said and God said to Solomon verse number 11 because this was in thy heart this is what's motivating you I've given you this assignment and you're asking me show me the protocol but give me the wisdom he that you have an axe for riches or wealth or honour nor for the life of your enemies neither have you axe for long life you haven't asked anything for yourself I love this prayer strategy it's so mature uuuuu you're not boiling this thing down - I need a new chariot and make sure it has gold rims you're not boiling it down I'm in this position and I want everybody to know so make sure that I have an armor bearer and a handmaiden and make sure that I have a designer bag and make sure I have a Bentley you know he's not asking for any of that it wasn't driven by that he said I'm in this position and I need to know the protocols when you operate at certain levels there is one protocol that will keep you there but when God elevates you into a position where you have influence where you're seen by the nation's where your name is out there you better shift the protocol and you better have wisdom because there's a protocol that you use to make $100 but when you want to make a thousand there's a different protocol and when you're in the billions there's a different protocol there's a protocol that you you need when you're hanging out with your parents cookout but when you are in white it invited to the White House different kind of protocol and wisdom is going to dictate to the protocol that you need in any situation and in any circumstance any season and any status that God takes you you've got to be open to shift your protocols and wisdom is going to do it the the wise version knew that we don't know how long it's going to take let us take extra the foolish ones didn't think far I had enough and a lot of us are only thinking about what we're doing today who we want to be today a role that but what about where God is going to take you tomorrow are you ready for that are you ready for incidentals are you ready are you prepared have you thought far enough have you thought after the fact have you said ok I'm gonna be an author ok so you've written your first book what what about later what are you gonna do what are you gonna sell the book how you're gonna advance a book what kind of network do you need what about your business do you need to join another kind of Association if you're going to move to the next who do you need around you who where do you need to be what networks how much are you prepared to pay for that you know and this is what the wise one said look we have oil that we prepared but we were not responsible to prepare for you and a lot of us are giving away our supply to people that don't have the capacity not even for their next let alone for your next we're just freely giving stuff away and to people who are considered foolish they have no discretion they rush out there's no preparation so wise people prepare and God said look you you haven't axed this for yourself he said I'm gonna give you wisdom I'm gonna give you the knowledge because you acts but I'm also gonna give you riches and wealth and honor listen the five wise wisdom attracts wealth you won't have to work for it it will be attracted to you wisdom attracts honor you don't have to run you don't even have to run and rub shoulders with the influential they won't want to rub shoulders with you they are coming for you because of your wisdom are you getting this the things that we're praying for all you need is wisdom wisdom has a magnetic force that causes you to be irresistible you're gonna be in a vortex where people can't resist you they can't overlook you they can't disregard you lord give me wisdom give me wisdom wisdom strengthens a wise man more than 10 rulers who are in a city my god do you not know what that means that you don't you know you don't need guns and weapons and Wars I mean Scott missiles you don't need resumes and you don't need photo ops and you don't need photo shoots if you have wisdom oh my god proverbs 16 and 16 know that wisdom is thus for your soul if you find it then there will be your future if you find wisdom your future is attached to that and hope will not be cut off so what you've been hoping hoping for faith is a substance of things hoped for would you been hoping for wisdom will guarantee your future it guarantees so I want to talk to you about the value of wisdom proverbs 811 and I'm gonna read it as as much as I can for wisdom is better than rubies and all the things that may be desired and not to be compared with it I wisdom dwell with prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions so prudence is different from wisdom wisdom is knowing what to do but prudence is the ability to know when to do what to do with who to do it with that's prudence so he says if you if you get me you get prudence and then it goes on and it says if you get me you got really inventions the fear of the Lord is Sadie pride arrogance and evil way and the fourth month do I hate so these are things that it hates so if you're around arrogant people and proudful people and people that are evil and they just flap their lips you're not a wise person but if you are very discerning about the people that around you that's sign of wisdom you know so it gives you discretion then it says counsel is mine sound wisdom I am understanding I have strength love it by me Kings reign and princes decreed justice by me princes rule and nobles even all the judges of the earth I love them that love me and those that seek me early that find me and you know early doesn't have to do with a clock or a calendar early means before I'm needed so you get it before the problem shows up before the bills show up before the challenge show up I'm gonna give you wisdom so when it shows up you're ready and then it says riches and honor I think this is verse number eighteen riches and honor are with me yay durable riches and and righteousness my food is better than gold yea than fine gold my revenue then choice over you see how business is involved you know and it goes on I lead in the way of righteousness in the midst of the paths of judgment that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance you know Abraham was rich in substance job was rich in substance and then it outlines what the substance was it was cattle and gold and jewelry and all kinds of stuff and I will feel feel their treasure in other words you don't have to worry about filling it wisdom is going to do it it's going to attract it to you you're not even going to have to work by the sweat of the brow people will start giving it to you you wouldn't even have to buy it just from wisdom people are gonna want to start dressing you you know here's the Chanel make sure you wear it with your next photo shoot you know that kind of thing that I made that I may cause them that love me to inherit substance the Lord possessed me in the beginning of the way before the works of all I was set up from everlasting from the beginning or or ever the earth was when there was no depth I bought forth when there was no foundation about it with listen if you have nothing and you got wisdom you've got everything God created the whole world with wisdom and I love it because everything that man needed to succeed preceded him that's wisdom he thought of what was needed in the future and then he started creating there's a lot of bought several homes and and I built one and I'll never build another house ever but the one that I built it was a beautiful home the design was so beautiful but guess what what I should have done is figured out the furniture that I wanted in this house so when I picked up my furniture and I had these big pictures and there was no wall big enough to hang the picture the furniture that I picked up was so gorgeous but it was just wrong for my house you see wisdom goes into your future it takes a snapshot of that and it brings it all the way back so that you can make the appropriate strategic moves to get there it doesn't start where you are it it starts where you finish and then it backs you up so this you need wisdom if you have a vision you're gonna pray that God gives you wisdom what steps should I take next this is why writing your vision is important but praying for wisdom to bring that vision to pass is of utmost importance verse number 25 before the mountains were settled before the hills was Hills was I bought forth while as yet he had not made the earth nor the fields nor the heights look at look at the age of wisdom wisdom is you know it's been around for a long time look I'm not gonna take instructions from a ten-year-old to tell me how to live my life you haven't been around long enough but I am I will sit down with a 70 year old radio and ask them for wisdom why you've lived long and this is what she's saying why would you want to hang around foolish people and take instructions from people who don't have what you need when you could take instructions from me this is all wisdom is saying I was around when God created the earth I know and if he could create the earth I can instruct you how to create a better life I can instruct you how to create a business I can instruct you how to create a ministry if you just talked to me wisdom let me keep going proverbs 9 wisdom had builded her health and she has you know seven pillars she has killed her beasts she has mingled her wine she has furniture table she has sent forth her maiden she crying upon the highest place of the city whosoever is simple or foolish let him turn hitter as as as for him that wanted understanding she said to him ask God she says to him so that means that what we should do is ask God for wisdom these are the seven colors he pulls out I don't have to have the time to really ask about what those seven pillars look like but I want to tell you never underestimate the power of wisdom wisdom can change every aspect of your life proverbs 19 and 8 he who gets wisdom loves his own soul he who keeps understanding will find good I decree and declare only good it's gonna come to you I decree and declare you're gonna start loving yourself and you're gonna see yourself as a valuable commodity in the kingdom job 28:19 the topes of ethiopia cannot equal it nor can it be valued in pure gold Ecclesiastes 9 sixteen so I said wisdom is better than strength Ecclesiastes 9 18 wisdom is better than the weapons of warfare wisdom gives you life it not only gives you life it gives you long life it gives you help proverbs 8 10 to 11 and proverbs 9:10 to 11 says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding for by me thy days shall be multiplied and the years of thy life shall be increased so when you get wisdom this is God's life extension program oh yes wisdom gives you protection and defense Ecclesiastes 7 and 12 for wisdom is a defence and money is defense but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life to them that have it wisdom gives you strength job 12 and 13 with him is wisdom and strength you cannot have wisdom and not be strong you cannot have wisdom and not be strong in your conviction you will not be a push over in this season because of a wisdom wisdom gives you creativity Exodus 20:8 m3 and thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom that they may make Aaron's garment to consecrate him that he may minister unto me in the priest's office i decree and declare through wisdom this is going to be your most creative season wisdom gives you stand out qualities within your industry exodus 41 1 to 6 and the Lord spoke to Moses saying see I have called by name Bazeley o the son of uri the son of hur the tribe of judah not filled him with the spirit of god in wisdom and in understanding and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship to devise cunning works to work in gold and silver and brass and in cunning stones to set them in the carving of timber to work in all manner of workmanship and i behold I have given with him ally of the son of a hashmap of the tribe of Dan in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom that they may make all that I have commanded thee wisdom give you gives you stand out qualities within your industry people you won't have to send your resume around they'll come seeking you out I decree and declare this is a season of wisdom and God is going to give you the ability to stand out hallelujah within your industry and you are going to be head and shoulders it is going to be impossible to overlook you wisdom gives you prosperity first chronicles 22 12 and 13 only the Lord give thee wisdom and understanding and give the charge concerning Israel that thou may keep the law of the LORD thy God then shalt thou prosper so if you have a wisdom prosperity is the natural outcome of wisdom you won't have to pray about it prosperity will find you Ecclesiastes 7 and 12 for wisdom is protection just as money as protection but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its all that possesses it and so if you possess wisdom you are not only going to be prosperous but you're going to be preserved in your prosperity in other words you are not going to die prematurely once you get prosperous prospers and you're gonna be able to live long enough to be able to enjoy your prosperity you are not gonna leave it just for another generation that's gonna say mama worked hard look what she left us daddy worked hard look what he left us you worked so hard that your heart game way and your children now are the only ones that enjoying it but it will not be with you because you got wisdom you've got life extension wisdom would give you riches and wealth second Chronicles 1 6 to 12 you could read wisdom gives you commendation in other words you know one of the things that Pharaoh's said about a Joseph and this is in Genesis for 39:43 they said listen he's going to be second-in-command the only person that's gonna have more power than Joseph is me but when you see him you gotta bow to him and Pharaoh took his ring off and put it on his hands and then gave him linen and gave him a gold chain he was like you know a rapper from the inner city and he just rolled in the second chariot like a Bentley leaning back driving and it all happened because Pharaoh acknowledged his wisdom wisdom gives you favor before God and man Luke 2:52 and Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and favor with God and then his status change as well as his influence amongst man wisdom gives you dominion and establishes you as an industry expert this is Genesis 41 33 to 38 you can read about it wisdom gives you understanding Deuteronomy 4 5 to 6 I'm so excited let me slow down wisdom gives you knowledge it gives you counsel and make and it gives you a brochure appetite for information so that you can learn more you would learn more about your industry you would learn more and you you God would just download the secrets that people keep and they hold but God will begin to expose you and give you a trade secrets the Bible said in Exodus 18 19 hearken now unto my voice I give the counsel that worked counsel the modern-day vernacular I'm going to give you trade secrets I'm going to give you trade secrets look one thing that people don't give they don't give trade secrets they're hold it to their chests I mean you don't get the trade secrets of coca-cola you don't get the trade secrets of Kentucky Fried Chicken with its seven or and spices this is trade secrets what God is saying I'm going to give you trade secrets as long as you've got wisdom and wisdom gives you love you know reprove not a scorned Alesi hate thee rebuke a wise man and he wouldn't love you and so sometimes we're rebuking people but we don't give them wisdom and so you end up being hated but I said if you rebuke him they're still gonna love you because they're going to appreciate your wisdom wisdom gives you joy the Bible says the joy of the Lord is your strength proverbs 23 24 to 25 the father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice and he that began in the was wise child shall have joy of him they father and they mother shall be glad and she that bear thee shall rejoice so wisdom gives you know the people around you joy they're happy to be around you and not only that you're gonna have joy too wisdom gives you peace first Kings five and twelve and the Lord gave Solomon wisdom and as he promised him and there was peace between Hyrum and Solomon and the two made a league together wisdom gives you honor wisdom has many travelling companions and one of them is honor saying with a loud voice worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing it gives you honor wisdom wisdom gives you confidence saying with a loud voice again worthy is the lamb wisdom that has riches and and and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing wisdom gives you glory again it's the same Scripture and and when we talk about glory glory is manifested in wealth it's manifested in influence is manifested in substance is manifested in honor this is what wisdom gives you wisdom gives you instructions and so the Bible says in proverbs 4:13 take fast hold of instruction and let her not go keeper for she is thy life wisdom also gives you righteousness wisdom gives you the ability to defy odds proverbs 21 22 a wise man scale of the city of the mighty and cast it down the strength of the confident there off so wisdom allows you to defy odds wisdom gives you humility if you find a wise person you always find a humble person the fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom and before honor is humility wisdom gives you pleasantness and happiness you know when when you have wise people they're usually happy they're usually very pleasant but when you around crazy foolish people there they're some of the most miserable people in the world her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace she is the tree of life to them that lay hold upon her and happy is everyone that retained her so wisdom brings about happiness wisdom gives you discretion and sound judgment that's proverbs 3 21 to 24 wisdom gives makes your parents proud of you there were some parents that are not proud of their children but wisdom will make your parents proud of you the Bible said proverbs 2093 whosoever loveth wisdom rejoices his father it makes your parents proud of you wisdom makes you prosperous for ski-in 10 6 to 8 wisdom gives you profit in business I gotta stop here Ecclesiastes 7 and 11 wisdom is good with an inheritance and by it there is profit to them that see the Sun 70 11 think about 7-eleven how many of you would pay double for a can of pork and beans or a can of soup then you would play in maybe Publix but that's what they did they scaled up because they understood that convenience was more important and when Publix was closed P we'll have to buy they had to buy baby formula they have to buy whatever they were buying and it was wisdom that that instructed 7/11 you will never ever forget this Ecclesiastes 711 think of 7-eleven wisdom is going to give you the ability to profit in your business I'm gonna give you a few more and I'm gonna wrap it up wisdom makes you an industry leader Exodus 36 36 1 2 do want to do wisdom gives you a voice where people begin to listen to you proverbs 1 in 20 wisdom makes you shine Ecclesiastes 8 and 1 wisdom helps you to build your house and so those of you that are merit those of you that are raising children just ask God to give you wisdom and wisdom brings opportunities in other words when you're wise opportunities will begin to avail themselves to you and the final thing wisdom helps you to stand out amongst the crowd there are so many people that are trying to figure out how to make it through life how to scale climb the corporate ladder and how to scale their business and and and how to make it in life Jesus throws parabolic the the parable of the five foolish and the five wise and instead of talking about the foolishness let's pull out wisdom those five this is a kingdom now characteristic if you're living in the kingdom if you're going to pray for anything pray for wisdom [Applause]
