originally planned you to think and you can live how god originally purposed you to live in prosperity and in abundance know and understand what you have you have seed an unseen and divine gift that you can utilize to cultivate your purpose your assignment your talent your gift with which you can revolutionize the world develop new technologies advance new fields prosper in any economy and influence and impact current and future generations there is no limit to your capacity do not be afraid to be planted and do not be afraid of what is planted in you go forth and thrive [Music] welcome back to our teachings and today is going to be just an amazing amazing time for you i want you to take copious notes and i'm reading from out of the book of matthew 13 and 3 and they spake many things onto them in parables it goes on in the 34th and the 35th verse saying all these things spake jesus unto the multitude in parables and without a parable spake he not unto them that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets saying i will open my mouth in parables and i would will utter things which they which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world so we know parables basically is the unraveling of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and they were held in the womb of revelation waiting for a generation that would have the capacity to receive them unfortunately culture had done a number and through a succession of superpowers um and religious activities the capacity of mankind grew smaller and smaller and smaller until we lost our ability um to think like god or things like god originally plain and purpose for us to think so we were taught basically what to think but we were never taught how to think and the parables that jesus were speaking was a hard reset for the intellect and the genius and the capacity of mankind we understand that jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost and we asked the question what was lost it was our ability to think like god or think like god originally planned and purposed us to think so in the midst of his ministry in galilee jesus taught the listeners in parables his primary objective was really to reveal himself as the king of this kingdom and this was going to be a new spiritual inauguration of the extension of the kingdom which really started in the book of genesis matthew chapter 12 when god through an invitation and presenting an opportunity a spiritual opportunity for abraham now to move from one realm into another realm and one dimension into another dimension and he would go through this process the hebrews call it la clauca in romans it says being renewed in the spirit of your mind colossians says that we are being transformed and that transformation or the uh trans-new migration or the bible says that we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and then we have been translated into the kingdom of his their son and so we have this transformation process this translation process or the trans-new migration being moved from one kingdom to another kingdom and with any kind of immigration or uh migration that people have it is of utmost necessity that those people learn the culture and learn the traditions and the mindsets and the mores and of of the new culture and it's like someone um going through the immigration process and then uh being uh taken on or taking on a new citizenship it means that they're leaving one kingdom going into another one country going into another and the whole immigration process where they become a citizen of this new um kingdom or country or a new nation it means that they have to learn the language the customs and all of that so as in the natural so it is in the spiritual when you are translated or when you are taken from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of life light through salvation there's this whole need for paradigm shift and it requires a consistent outpouring of a revelation that you sit under and bit by bit the holy spirit is able to just unravel uh uh the connection that you have with the old and all of the connections that we have with an old kingdom has to do with the mental attachments to it it's like a soul tie that you have and there are strongholds that are involved with that and we'll unpack that later but there are strongholds and stratifications to that and then you start pulling back the layers really to discover yourself in the process the parables were a um a teaching mode and the bible said that he didn't speak anything except he spoke by parables and so this the parables really was to help to build capacity in his disciples and it was to help them to acquire a paradigm shift and we hear so many teachings on paradigms but it's easier said than done usually from the point of revelation and you accept that as a rhema word it takes about seven about seven years approximately seven years for you to have a paradigm shift it's not like you don't understand but the paradigm shift shifts your world view a world view is that subconscious lands through which you view yourself in the world and you view the world and so it's how you relate to the world how you receive information and then how you understand it is this context that you understand everything from uh external locus of of control your even your own thought you process it through this lens and so he was was teaching about the kingdom and and uh it caused a stir amongst many of the jews the pharisees the sadducees the essenes it's it caused so much of a stir because in as much as they were expecting the messiah they didn't expect the messiah to show up like jesus and so in him explaining the kingdom of god jesus actually exposes divine genius in the um teaching or the pedagogical uh treatment of the kingdom uh principles and i'm always talking about well how do i actually treat uh treat a message it's not that um you don't understand and you don't know how to articulate it but how do you treat it how do you help people to understand it how do you help to break down complex concepts so that the average person could really understand it and he used principles to do that in contrast though the jewish religionists had taken up um a position and that was position a position to become the antagonist he was the protagonist but they took up the role of an antagonist because as jesus taught he taught so that people could understand and not only understand have immediate application to their lives because when he came he came so that we lived a better life but you cannot apply something if you don't understand it and it takes a master teacher to be able to break down concepts so that you can digest it you can have intellectual digestion so that there is application and he wanted everyone not just to understand but to have application so that they can live an abundant life and this is what god wants for all of us and those that heard this teaching and believe they would receive strategies for life and for living it's it's it's life strategies and that's what we all want we want these life strategies that bring about a quality of life not just for us but our families our loved ones and we teach it i'm so convinced about these teachings it has literally revolution revolutionized my life and these are the principles principles that i apply every single day but as he as he taught it he met with so much opposition and so much conflict not just from the jews but from the roman government because it was really liberating the minds of people the roman government had this campaign it was a political campaign and when they showed up in a region they would say caesar's kingdom come caesar's will be done now here comes jesus and he's saying when you pray pray our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done he's saying my father's kingdom come my father's will be done and so they felt that he was this rebel rouser that that that he was this messianic pretender that he was some sort of a quack and that he was actually out of his mind and they even accused him of being empowered by demonic spirits or beelzebob so when he spoke in parables a lot of the intellects a lot of those that didn't have the sponginess of a child remember he said to them unless you have the spirit of a child unless you come to this kingdom like a child and um the child has have not lost their inner innocence they ask questions because they want to know and they want to learn but they had hidden agendas when they asked him a question it really was to set him up it really was to expose him but he was an intellect he was a critical thinker he was a debater and he was able to extrapolate from their argument and turn the argument back on them that's the order of the debate and they really had a thing against jesus because they couldn't control jesus and one of the reasons why they didn't understand the parables they didn't understand the king the message of the kingdom they thought he was the great pretender but he was actually the great debater and it it was primarily because every time he taught they were processing his teaching through an old paradigm they were they were processing his teaching from the incorrect context and if your context is wrong your conclusion is wrong no matter how much we teach you and so this teaching the teaching of the parables was to help them to not only understand the concepts of the kingdom and the principles of the kingdom or the laws of the kingdom but also so that they can have the right context so a lot of the uh pharisees and the religious people of the day and government they were actually enraged because he did not embrace the status quo he came instead to overthrow the status quo and he had the audacity not to ask them permission and he had the audacity to challenge their theology and their philosophies and their intentions at the same time exposing their religiosity and so christianity is not about religion but it's about a relationship the relationship that you have with god and this is one of the teachings that you will learn in the parables of the parable of the two sons we call him the prodigal son and we'll unpack that in a minute jesus was this master teacher and more often he employed the use of parables in discussing the kingdom explaining the kingdom and to expose the principles in many cases again it was meant for his the the disciples not for the multitudes that followed because the multitudes were actually following him for the miracle signs and wonders they didn't want to think for a change they just want someone to think for them and that's the mindset and the habits and the mentality that they had been molded and shaped um shaped in um it was at the control of one kingdom after another at first it was egypt then it was babylon then it was the medo persians then it was the greeks then it was the romans and now you have jesus and he is actually the stone that the builders rejected he becomes the unfolding of god's plan that nebuchadnezzar saw in a dream and it's fascinating if i ever unpack that dream nebuchadnezzar wasn't even a man that was identified as a jew or a lover of god but yet god downloaded a dream in his mind maybe because he had capacity but he could not interpret it because he was not connected to the one who had given him the dream um and so you see the unfolding of god's plan for man and you see that jesus is not just a part of his plan but his fulfilling his will and he was able to pray in the garden of gethsemane i know i'm a free moral agent that means i have a have a will of my own but i'm praying not my will but thy will be done and it's difficult for people who really don't understand the moral imperative and the spiritual imperative that are given to certain leaders they are not going to bow to the um prejudices of conventional thinking they will never bow because they will never be one who shapes history and shapes history along the line of god's love for humanity and i have to say it again because god is so in love with the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have eternal life and many of the individuals that we call iconic figures they were drunk dan they were marching to a different beat a different drum major and that drum major was in the alignment with the unfolding of god's plan for men usually people that are being used by god um cannot articulate why they're doing something and again it's this moral imperative they've got to do it or they die and you look throughout history the great men and women of god many of which who died many of which who were crucified stoned um many of which suffered horrendous death they they stood counter culture had they conformed maybe they might not have died but um you almost have to be like paul when you say for me to live is christ to die is gain and i love if you ever get a chance to read the book of philippians um especially chapter one read it out of the message bible you would be encouraged because paul wrote the vast majority of the new testament and here's a man that was snatched out of trans-new migrated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light and even though he did not have that three-year career with following jesus like the disciples i often asked myself why isn't it that one of those 11 who had gone on to establish the church why was it that that one of those 11 didn't write the vast majority and my answer is perhaps they were still so restricted in their thoughts that they hadn't had a complete paradigm shift and that's what happens when something is new usually the next generation or the next generation will go on and expand uh something that you start and they will continue it on simply because you're receiving it as you go it's like um on a needs to know basis and um those that are assigned to be a successor or to make sure that that there is succession to a vision they're able to do do more because the foundation has been laid so jesus is doing all the heavy lifting laying the foundation because there's going to be this new institution that he's going to establish and with anything that's new there's always new language and so the disciples are really learning a new language and they have the opportunity to say well what do you mean and give us an understanding and give us an insight and those parables that he spoke were messages that would would give citizens um the ability to live a successful and an empowered life and to enjoy the best of two worlds they were sent into the kingdom of darkness as god's ambassadors but they were living in the kingdom of light the kingdom of heaven is within and he used these parables so that they can understand it so the parables was like this mini crash course in thinking and you might ask well what is a parable a parable is a short story that is designed to teach a moral lesson and as it relates to the kingdom it is lessons about the kingdoms uh it's about kingdom concepts and spiritual um spiritual principles that uh the typical person or the typical university or the typical educational institution would not teach exactly that way so it was about uh lessons that he would give that would expose kingdom concepts and kingdom principles and kingdom philosophies that will empower and that would enhance the life of the listener um of course he he says that when i came i came that you may have life and live it more abundantly in other words understanding those parables would take the struggle out of life and living there was no guarantee that he was given that you wouldn't be tested there was no guarantee that um he was given that you wouldn't be fought but he was given a guarantee that even if you lose mother father sister or brother he said you are going to gain much more in this life and in the life to come life eternal so whatever loss you suffered whatever challenges you have you not only were going to be an overcomer and more than a conqueror and you were not only going to be victorious but you would also have eternal life and so he used these parables because of the effectiveness of the teaching technique this teaching technique was not new to him aristotle used it socrates used it plato used it in fact one of plato's plato's um teaching tool it was the parable of the cave and it's a very famous parable that he teaches and it's about uh paradigm shifts and it's about how to think and i loved plato's um parable of the cave because it reminds me of the opening statement um when jesus was introducing the parables it says that people were sitting in darkness and they came to see a great light and this is plato's um parable or the story of the cave where he talks about these individuals that were born in this cave and the cave was dark and there was a light and they could not turn their head either way because their heads were in stocks it was in chains and their hands and the feet were in chains and the only way that they they could look they could look ahead but this light would shine and they would see the shadows they would hear the voices they would see these shadows and the shadows became the reality one of them someone came down to the cave released one of them took them out of the cave and the sun um he he was introduced to the sun and he was blinded by the sun it hurt his eyes because he had never seen like that before and then he looked around and the only thing that he was comfortable with was those shadows and he considered those shadows real and he argued that these shadows were real until his eyes adjusted to the pureness of the sunlight and he began to see that these shadows were attached to a tree that the shadow was in the tree but it was the shadow of a tree it was not the substance but it was just a shadow of it and he looked around and his eyes began to see and he saw the actual objects and he was so excited he wanted to go back down to the cave and share it with his friends and when he went down they thought he was crazy and they wanted to kill him because whenever light shines in you whenever you have a paradigm you have to admit that you were in living in either darkness or ignorance and nobody wants to admit their bondage nobody wants to do that and so there are so many people that would rather stay in their bondage hence the terminology ghetto fabulous and there's nothing fabulous about the ghetto there is always another life that you can live you may start out there like i started out in abject poverty but there was nothing fabulous about that and it was it was information and revelation that i learned from the bible and bit by bit i was able to crawl out and in most instances claw my way out with bloodied hands and bloodied knees and sweated sweaty brows i was able to cl crawl my way out of there but i was crawling my way because that's what it took to apply the information and my mind fought me tooth and nail and i had to fight back here was the battle it was the battle of my mind and so when the message of the kingdom comes at first there's this light that shines but if you've been sitting in darkness guess what you're not going to be able to see and that word c is understand you're not going to be able to understand and remember he had to climb up to the light and the scripture says if you then be rhythm risen with christ seek those things which are above and not beneath and as long as satan has blinded the minds that's what the scripture says of the children of disobedience well they'll see things around them but they will have the wrong interpretation of them and so jesus spoke and he talked about it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and so a mystery is like the unveiling of a strategy or some um inside secret that the inside people know about but those that are outside they don't know about it's like this information it's like this trade secret that you get and the parables expose it and a lot of us are in positions um that is actually beneath our our capabilities and beneath our capacity but we don't have enough information to move from the from where we are and this is what the parables is all about so we are introduced to one of the the most amazing parables and the first parables everybody hears and this is the parable of the seed the the the sower and the soil matthew 13 3-9 and then 19-23 and he spake many things unto them in parables behold the sower went forth and when he sold some seed fell by the wayside and the files came and devolved them up some fell in stony stoney places where they had not much earth and forth with with they sprung up because they had no deadness of earth and when the sun was up they were scourged and because they had no root and those of you that are reading your bible or even reading it on your phone or your laptop you can highlight no root they withered away some fell among the thorns highlight thorns and the thorns sprung up and choked them but others fell into good ground and brought forth fruit some 100 folds some 60 fold some 34 fold verse number nine who have an ear to hear let him hear drop down to verse number 19 when anyone hears the word of the kingdom and understand it did not then cometh the wicked one and catches away that which was sown in the heart this is he which received seed by the wayside but he that received the seed into stony places the same as he that heareth the word and anon with joy receives it yet have he not rooted himself but doeth for a while for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word by and by he is offended he also that receives seed amongst the thorn as he that heareth the word and tears of this world and the deceitfulness-ness of riches choke the word and he becometh unfruitful but he that receives seed into good ground is he that heareth the word and understandeth it which also beareth fruit and bringing forth some 100 fold some 60 and some 30. so here's the parabolic symbolism number one the seed is the incorruptible word of god it's also your potential opportunities resources and capital that god gives to you and the soil is the condition of individual people's heart so you have the soil which is wayside and this is callous the callus christians so that means one of the things that i understand this wayside the ground is so hard even if god sent open up the heavens and sent water the water's going to rise they're not going to sink down and it's going to cause a flesh blood and we understand from a flesh flood um that it's destructive and so a lot of people who are like the uh wayside and and these are people that are callous and so you can say to them you know jesus saved and they're so calloused they're not going to accept it and they're not going to accept anything that you say you can preach until you're blue in the face they will not accept it these are wayside this is the state of a man's heart the heart is the second apartment of your soul it houses your mind will and emotions and so all of that area of a man's soul is callish then you have stony places and these are christians that are casual they have they have no commitment so they show up at church or people they they don't mind god they're okay with god but but they have no commitment they don't see any reason why um they need to make that level of commitment why because god is just an option he's not a priority he's just an option i mean they believe in god but he's just an option and these are um people that will show up at church they have stony hearts but they will make no commitment then the third group of people and they're still talking about the heart is the stony places and those that have no root and these are shallow people they're going to shout they're going to scream but you never see the manifestations of the teaching that the shelter is screaming about about because they have no depth in them they're shallow then there's the thorny um heart and these are people that are carnal so you have those that are casual and those that have no commitment and those that are shallow then you have those that are carnal i mean they they love god but god is somewhere back there and you call on him when you have an adversity otherwise than that i'm partying so you it's full of thorns and they're out there and they're making money and they're gonna show up at church when they get a little older and they're gonna you know yolo you only live once so they're gonna yolo and they're gonna do their thing but they're gonna stay carnal but then there is the good ground and the good ground are those that are con consecrated those that are competent and those that are committed and these are those that end up with capacity and they end up with the the strong values that really revolutionize the world and so you have the seed the soil and the sowa and god always has a divine intent for the seed the seed is there to yield fruit and when we talk about the fruit of the spirit this is a part of the teachings of the seed the soil and the sower because god wants you to have fruit that we remain and so the first law of success and prosperity is attached to the seed the bible said be fruitful and when god says be fruitful it's understood that you have seed already so it's not being seedful you don't have to go out look for the seed god is going to provide the seed but now you've got to take that seed and cultivate it so this presupposes when we talk about seed especially when we talk about it from the concept and the context of potential it presupposes that all of us was born with potential and if you look at seed seed is supernaturally given and it's a divine resource that is made available it could be in the form of a gift or a talent or the potential pers for prosperity and it has to be cultivated but the force of a witch is unseen so if you plant the seed in the right soil then it's in the right environment for that unseen force to begin to work it works as soon as it's exposed to the right environment and a lot of us need to be exposed to the right environment particularly as it relates to our potential and so we all have purpose this is invisible we all have assignments it's invisible people can see it and we have gifts and talents and everything has to be cultivated the thing about god is that he's going to strategically plant every seed and if you consider yourself as a seed then he will strategically plant you exactly where you need to be to maximize your potential and if you have seed on the inside of you whether it is the word of god whether it's potential whether it's gifts and talents my question to you today is what have you done with your seed have you cultivated have you developed it have you developed new technologies have you created new businesses have you advanced any fields have you written any books have you scored any music what have you done with your seed and i you know it's all about your heart and the thing is that all of us have the ability to cultivate the seed as soon as we know and we understand that we have the seed and so god plants you in a field called the world and we'll come back to that so seed um has to be planted and god will plant the seed of the word of god so that the kingdom can blossom and thrive in your life this is the parable of the seed the sower and the soil and the whole emphasis is always always the soil because the sower remains the same the seed is the same for everyone but it's the state of a man's heart it's the soil and i think about um sarah and uh she would receive seed from her husband but she couldn't hold on to the seed so every every cycle that came around she was barren and scripture said that she had faith within herself and so it became an issue of mind over matter let this mind be in you which is also in christ jesus the scripture says in the book of hebrews 11 11 that she receives seed so that word the etymology re to restore seed seed reseed restore the seed and so when you get to the word deceive it means to remove the seed or to cause spontaneous abortion and then conceive means to take in the seed and so what we need to do we don't need to be deceived but we need to conceive but we don't also need to misconceive which means to take in the seed and apply it from the wrong context to mis misconceived so going back to the the parable of the seed the soil and the sower he presents to us um a great uh understanding that all of us should have of the strength of the word of god and the kingdom of god it starts in seed form it's going to come to you in seed form first and uh there's so much that i can say about the seed i want to move on to the next now one of the things that harry a einstein ironside said he said the word of truth of the gospel is like into a seed because it is a living thing it is the means by which god uses to produce the new birth and so it it it produces fruit unto eternal life the second parable is the peril of the weed and the tears and this is about kingdom strategies and i teach a little bit about strategies later but strategies is about the church without walls so it's about you not believing that god is pleased with you because you show up and worship in in four walls you are the church you have to go beyond the four walls and you have to understand that god is planting you in his field and that field is the world that's matthew 13 24-30 and then jesus explained in matthew 36 to 43 another parable put he forth unto them saying the kingdom of heaven is like an unto a man which sowed good seed in his field so the good seed is planted first but while man slept his enemies came and sowed tears amongst the wheat and went and and went his way but when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit then appeared the tears so the servants of the householder came and said unto him sir this that this thou not so good seed in thy field from whence then had had had it tears he said unto him and the enemy has done this the servant said unto him wilt thou then we go and gather them up but he says name lest while you gather up the tears you root up also the wheat with them let both grow together until the harvest and in the time of the harvest i will say to the reapers gather ye together for first the tears and bind them in the bundles to burn them but gather the weak into my barns verse number 36 then jesus sent the multitude away and went into his house and his disciples came unto him saying declare unto us the parable of the tears of the field he he answered and said unto them he that sowed the good seed is the son of man the field is the world and we know that the earth is the lord's the fullness they're off the world and they that dwell they're in so if god has planted you in the world you should not be afraid to succeed in it progress it in it and thrive in it the world belongs to god it doesn't belong to the devil so the bible said the good seed are the children of the kingdom but the tears are the children of the wicked one the enemy sold them the enemy that sold them is the devil the harvest is at the in the world and the reapers are the angels and this is interesting because a lot of times people try to um put a line of demarcation between what they do on sunday and what they do monday to friday but it's all the same thing you are you you you your highest form of worship is service rendered to the king and if you are going out into the business arena or the professional arena you're going out there because god is sending you there and you should thrive there as well the next thing um the next parable is the parable uh i have so much here i'm going through all of this is the parable of the mustard seed and this is about kingdom purity it's about not only kingdom purity but power and potential so the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds but it's one of the only seeds that is on the earth that you cannot um create a hybrid of it and so it's the purity of the um word of god and the purity of the kingdom that is that is um steadily increasing in size and that's the kingdom when the kingdom shows up it may show up as one person and then eventually that person witness witnesses and and it's two and then the two people witness and it's four and then it starts multiplying and growing not because of the largeness of the initial seed but because of the power of the seed to grow into something big the third the next parable is the parable of the leaven and this is in matthew 13 33-34 and also in mark 4 33-34 so another parable spake he unto them the kingdom of heaven is likened unto leaven which a woman took and hid in the measures of meal till the whole was 11. and i can imagine the uh religious folk because they definitely uh didn't believe that that women um had any um right to be considered as individuals that god would use and it was jesus was speaking during a very sexist time in history so for him even to mention women in his messages i can imagine the pharisees and the scribes they were really appalled but he was really referring to the kingdom of heaven and its influence that its influence is in stealth mode we know that when you need a yeast in in bread um it doesn't take on the characteristic of the butter and the salt and the sugar and the flour it doesn't become more dry it doesn't become more sweet it doesn't become more salty but instead the blood butter the flour the sugar takes on its nature so you can put a christian a believer anywhere and they become influencers um not necessarily because of what they say because yeast is not like rice krispies with the snap crackle and pop it's in stealth mode you go in and before you know it people will be saying there's something different about you and and those of you that in the workplace you're working with so so much excellence and so much wisdom they want to know what's different about you and then eventually they learn that you're a christian so small and insignificant is what yeast is until it's placed in the right environment and then you begin to influence so wherever you are you can be an influencer you look at daniel in the lion's den and the three hebrew boys in the fiery furnace and esther in persia and paul and silas in prison they were influencers and they made a change and they not only made the change but they changed the way the people around them did life so you are placed in your family in your community in your industry in organizations because of the impact that you're going to make and the influence that you're going to have and this is very important as we think about the parable of the leaven the next parable is the parable of the hidden treasure and this is about the redemption of humanity matthew 13 44 again the kingdom of heaven is like and unto a treasure hid in the field it though the witch was the witch when a man had found he hide it and for joy they're off go with and selleth everything and buy at the field and that's john 3 16 isn't it he he um sells all that he has and you think about for god to love the world that he gave his only begotten son and he buys this field because of the treasure that was hidden in the field and this is the treasure that's hidden in every human being and that's the image of god that's our purpose and our potential and our assignment and god redeems us he buys us back because we have treasure in earth and vessel um the bible talks about how he uh buys the feel this is the redemption of humanity and how god actually redeems the world by giving everything that he has the next parable we want to address you on is the parable of the pearl of great price and this is about kingdom economics is about marketing the kingdom is a precious commodity and it's an inside job basically and um when we think about this this whole parable from matthew 13 45 to 46 again the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man seeking goodly pearls who when he has found one pearl of great price went and so all that he had and bought it so here's the parabolic symbolism number one the pearl the pearls you you have to understand how a pearl this pearl is made it's made from rejection so this grain of salt it begins to irritate this um the um thing that holds the pearl it begins to irritate it and then it it it it starts to reject it and it builds something over it and in the rejection it actually literally changes the value of the grain of sand nobody's gonna pay for a grain of sand but people will pay for the pearl and this is the process the pearl we are all in process and what you go through if you would trust god as you're going through he will make you more valuable than you you were before the rejection so i often say that rejection is a sign that an institution a person or organization or relationship no longer has capacity for you and so that's what happened to jake jacob and joseph and david and jesus and job and um so many people they became valuable to the kingdom because of who they became in the process and it's a great price so this is the value of the kingdom and then it was sold so this is the power of sacrifice and god is the greatest economist the greatest financier and this person or the the in the parable he sold everything and this is god he's not afraid to invest everything in this speculative market to gain 100 market share and it's interesting that's what god wants he don't want a portion of the market he wants to have a 100 percent market share and he just invested everything so it costs got everything and when we live in the kingdom it will cost us everything too the next parable that i want to um talk to you about is uh the parable of the net and this is the parable of the dragnet and the sea again this is found in matthew 13 47-48 it's a non-traditional approach to prospering in any economy so you remember the parable of the dragnet just just throw it all in and then whatever comes in then you can start um deciding when when when you get to the shore what i would like for you to do is stand start deciding i'm going to keep this and this is not valuable and this this is basically how do you how you succeed in any economy your nat is any business technology it could be even a network anything that increases your net worth and it anything that gives you cutting edge industry specific technological cutting edge or advancement and so today um i mean we live in some amazing times i'm always excited about technology and you know those of us that are afraid of technology you might as well get with it because it's here to stay but the net is any form of business technology back in the day that the economy would driven primarily through two sources there was the agrarian and there was the ocean or the sea anything that they could pull out of the sea and so when you deal with the net it has to do with economics and it was casted in this is an unconditional way and then the c of course is human humanity so we talk about technology and technology basically is the scientific methodology and methods that a person employs to make the work easier for a commercial or an industrial objective so this is what the net is all about it's attached to business it's attached to a market share and again you should not be afraid to sit down and with the help of god saying i'm going after 20 of this market share i'm going after 50 of this market share that you should not just go into business without considering what portion of the market share that you want the next parable is matthew 13 52 and you notice there's so many parables out of matthew 13 i think there are eight specific parables in matthew 13. some people count seven but there's actually eight eight is a number new beginning so the parable of the householder this is kingdom stewardship and resource management again matthew 13 52 that he said unto them therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that's in that is a householder which bringeth forth out of his treasure things old and new householder the greek word or economos out of which we get economists and so the household there are 12 houses that are in scripture number one the family is a house number two your community is considered a house a building is a house a nation is a house your place of worship is a house the capitol building uh where government sits as a house um the human body is a house israel is a house the local church is a house the universal church is out government is a house and culture is a house and so he's saying that you need to consider everything and you're going to bring out both old and new out of your family out of your community out of a nation wherever you're assigned out of government bring things old and new and so the next scripture that i want to give you is the next parable and i'm hoping that you're getting something out of this and i believe the next one is the parable of the of the growing seed mark chapter 4 26-29 where we're talking about the the seed and the seed does not grow all at one time it grows in in in stages and so it is with the kingdom of heaven we are of a specific age but we always grow in stages then there was the parable of the weeds of matthew 13 24 to 30 36 to 43 and this is another agrarian or angry theological parable so it's it's agrarian it's about the earth it's about farming and he's talking about the good seed being the son of man or the seed of abraham and he's and he's he always he's using the um example of farming and um how the farmer was was getting a good night's sleep basically and the enemy comes and then you know it grows and the wheat and the tears are growing together and god really basically understood that that's what the enemy was going to do and he says look um you know go ahead and let the wheat and the tears grow together and he talks about how it's possible for us to thrive the next parable is the parable of the ten virgins and that's kingdom distinction or separate separateness where the line is drawn between those that are wise those that are foolish those that are alert and those that are unconscious and you can find that in matthew 25 i believe it's 1 to 13. then the next um um parable is an amazing parable it's the parable of the prodigal son i could stay here all day it's about kingdom prerogative god does not take your will from you and this particular um parable has nothing to do with character it has to do with immaturity and his father recognized look he's got to go find himself and he did not leave his father without his father's blessing in fact his father sent him off with some money and with some resources hoping that he would find himself and see how valuable his um kingdom was or his um how his home was and um god will allow you to find yourself so the prodigal son was not rebellious he was immature and at some point we have to grow up and he came back home only to find out that his father had a place for him his father had grace for him a space for him and his father had a pace for him he was going to come back and his father was going to use him and this story is or this parable actually is a parable of the dispensation of law and the dispensation of grace and the older brother represented the dispensation of law and the younger brother represented the dispensation of grace the next parable is the parable of the ten talents this is a parable of resource management we are going to be held accountable for every resource god gives us whether it's money or time or a talent or relationships or an opportunity god is going to hold us accountable for that that's luke chapter 19 verse 12 to 27. the next parable is an amazing parable it's the parable of the servant this is about kingdom economics biblical finances the book of luke or the gospel of luke and whenever you read the gospel of luke you're reading about kingdom economics biblical finances luke 19 11 to 27 you could read about the parable and how um money was given and then they were judged based on what they did with their money and they were given authority based on how they multiplied the money and so everything if your kingdom economist you want an roi on every investment any resource that god gives you you want to roi in in in in time you don't spend time with people you invest time with people and you don't let people waste your time and that goes with money and any other resource that he gives you that there's the parable of the sheep and this is the value of individual citizens in other words the shepherd leaves 99 and he goes off to find the one that was lost and to me this is the value of an individual in the kingdom the next parable is the parable of the lord's coin and this is about the value of the kingdom the laws the the lost um the lord sheep is the value of individuals the lost coin is the value of the kingdom every principle that god gives you is valuable and there were some people that may put some principles on the lower part of the totem pole all of them should be elevated and considered valuable and a lot of us know what it feels like to suffer from laws we lose things because of ignorance and immaturity sometimes we don't know the value of it we lose opportunities we lose relationships we lose our hope we lose our dreams we lose our business we lose our children we lose our ministry we lose our reputation we lose so many things and god is touched by that loss is touched by our the feeling of our infirmities and then the bible says that we are blessed when we mourn and if you mourn you can recover even from things that you have lost there's the parable of the new wine in the old wine skin and this has to do with kingdom paradigm and we'll have to teach you a little later about what a paradigm is all about but it's a mentality it's a world view it's a way of looking at life and the way that you show up in life the next parable and that particular parable is found in matthew 9 17. there's another parable found in luke 19 11-27 and this is the parable of the nobleman's servant and this has to do with kingdom protocol and our time is winding up so let me give you the last few there's the parable of the fig tree and this is about kingdom productivity and this is the first law of success be fruitful and there was a husband man that was challenged by the impending doom of a plan and he said give me a year let me dun dung it and so from the time you have a revelation about something that god is giving you you should take it god gives you about one year to make application for that and you know we've got to be fruitful in everything we get ideas and sometimes we wait so long until uh the opportunity for that idea to manifest is gone the world has changed people have changed and sometimes it's too late so you need to be in a hurry you need to do things you need to learn to do things now so that you can get the benefit of what god is planting in your spirit and it's all about um how we process things and how we process information so that's the parable of the fig tree and it was going to be cut down for non-productivity and i want to prophesy over you that this is the last season that you would experience non-productivity as we bring this to the close we have the light under the bushel which speaks about the prominence of the kingdom we have the light under the basket which speaks about again the prominence of the kingdom we have the parable of the friend in need which speaks about kingdom impetuity and then finally the final parable that i want to speak to you is the parable of the lowest seat at the feast and this has to be has to do with humility and privilege whenever you're invited somewhere the honorable thing to do is to take the lower seat so that you can be invited up and the scripture says he that humbles himself god will exhaust him of course we have many other parables that jesus taught from the parable of the great banquet to a few of the other parables but when jesus spoke he spoke those parables for a reason he spoke the parables because they became a crash course in thinking he wanted them to be able to ask questions and intelligence questions because if you ask it shall be given to you the typical education the conventional educational system has done a job on us they have taught us what to think but they haven't taught us how to think but when you understand the parables and i'm going to instruct you and encourage you if you could just go through the parables one by one you will definitely see a change in the way that you think because at the end of the day as a man thinketh in his heart so is he i pray that you've been enlightened concerning the king in his kingdom and the parables that he spoke and those of you that
