you know it I always get excited when I am with fellow men there is something about men talking to men you agree we can be open we can be from and feel free to ask any questions throughout this session for my curiosity how many of you are married raise your hands married okay how many of you are singles stand up single single single stand up praise God stand up remain standing up because I have a mission for married and for singles later on if I forget will you remind me to tell you what's your mission I'm gonna tell you I'm not gonna tell you to get married okay so don't don't think I'm gonna do that but I have mission for you guys married and singles please make sure you remind me okay now let me ask you a question right who is a man according to the world in other words what your understanding of a man can you whisper to your neighbor the first thing that enters your mind Shinobu an lelaki who is a man in your mind what does it mean to be a man don't look at me talk to your neighbor who is a man because I'm gonna pull you way I'm gonna point at you and you tell me in your mind who is the man okay shout your answer okay so let's let's try this ro who is a man strong who is a man leader who is a man provider who is a man because they have attended the role of a man role of a husband very good now do you agree is important for us to have a proper picture of what it means to be a man because Hollywood and society have really marked destroyed the image of manhood God created us in His image but for whatever reason it is being destroyed the sanctity of manhood and womanhood is being destroyed by Hollywood it's being blurred who is a man according to the world well for the world a man is supposed to be macho yogi power it's about controlling you agree it's about wonka's yes or no but at the end of the day it's all about being self-centered this is relieved what is in the mind of a lot of men who do not know Jesus no wonder the family members the opposite sex hurry up because if this is who we are macho power control a lot of men think if they can seduce a woman to have sex it's proving their manhood if they can do it their way ladies and gentlemen this is dangerous mindset but be literally speaking here are the picture I want to share with you from the Bible simple a man is basically somebody who is responsible in the Garden of Eden when God created man God gave Adam a responsibility got all Adam I want you to take care of the garden are you aware of that work was given to man before sin entered the world right in the beginning Genesis chapter 2 the Bible tells us God created the heavens and the earth and then it mentioned God built made a beautiful garden Wow trees all kinds of fruit for us to enjoy and then God says I will put you in charge the garden was already created by God all we have to do is to assume responsibility to continue caring for it understand that's God's plan and then God said it is not good for man to be alone I will give him a support I'll give him a woman but man you and I were created to be responsible another word is to Shepherd not just Shepherd the creation of God but to Shepherd the people of God your family if you are in your company the people around you you are to take care of them not to miss a picture of manhood so those of you who are married we have to think now am i shepherding my children not a shepherd what does a shepherd you and I are not Shepherd but basically sheep are the most helpless animal they are not smart have you been to any circus where you see sheep performing no seriously voilá in the bar you know why they are like us stupid not smart really they they don't have sense of direction that's why the Bible I believe midship not just for lamb chops but the Bible midship so that you and I will understand how helpless we are how we need him to be our Shepherd your family your children are like sheep they're easily lost sheep have no defense the biggest ship has not much against the smallest wolf there's no way so your role as Shepherd is also to not just provide bring them to a green pasture you are also to protect them so once you begin to understand God made you a man you are to be responsible responsible means you're accountable to God responsible you don't blame others if something goes wrong with your family with your life don't blame others you look at yourself that is the meaning of a man we are responsible today people love to blame everything you know we we blame the government we if you look at the American politics is really so sad right they just keep blaming friends we are responsible what's the next one we have to be Shepherd now I put the word leader during because that's the basic essence of all of the above the leaders responsible a leader Shepherd you don't abuse a lousy leader will take advantage of the flock my son was just talking to me yesterday we were together he said did you hear about what happened in I think in talboom in a Mindanao for a bunch of pastors who are really taking advantage of the people because there was this camp every herb that scam where you invest example 10,000 they give it back to you 30,000 have you heard of that scam going on now what is shocking is a group of stirrers got involved and there are teaching people this is really the blessing of God I mean this is absolutely crazy can you imagine taking advantage of members that when shishya we are very particular when it comes to money we don't like anybody taking advantage of others in a small group asking for money asking for donation we have to have accountability when people have problem it's good we have them but there has to be a system a way and our system is the D group leader will investigate the case before it's either get involved and then he brings it up to the pastor you know why we have helped many members so part of our Christian responsibilities to help each other yes or no but do you want the help to be legitimate example there was this person a heavy financial need and then we discovered and that means I'm in Kochi excuse me sell the car first asking for money we were the house and dam in paintings expensive paintings what must you do sell the painting first in other word with this tendency to be generous with other people's money that's not the way anyway that's not the type of today but one day you'll learn about financial stewardship in the mean time what does it mean to be a leader so this morning I want to share with you it's so counterintuitive you know the kind of leadership I want you guys to have after many years of developing leaders I've come to a conclusion the most important quality a leader must help is brokenness say that with me brokenness what is brokenness you know if you think of the word leader most most of us will probably think of who is the leader would you say for the corporate world even for Christian community you will say a leader is what competence yes or no that's important yes or no that's important nothing wrong what about character that's very important that's non-negotiable the currency of leadership is trust if you don't have character how can you live so these are all important something else a leader has to be inspiring charismatic yes or no that's also important even people to follow you that's leadership chemistry what is chemistry leadership you got to get along well with people how can you be a leader when you don't get along with people so in company they really look for this kind of leaders as Warren Buffett said for his for him leadership competence chemistry but according to him if there's no character the guy you choose will even steal your company so character is foundational can I give you one extra which I have already taught many of our pastors when we choose leaders in CCF this one thing I want you to remember everybody brokenness share with me broken leader now what is broken leader it's so counterintuitive do you know why in the world when something is broken they are thrown in the world when something is broken you discard it yes or no you don't need it anymore you throw it away damaged good you reject but with God it's different God can only begin using you mightily when you are broken you know you know what God says give me broken people so what does it mean to be broken let me contrast brokenness with somebody who is a good leader but not broken so that you will understand what brokenness is all right brokenness is a process you know God is going to do something in your life it is painful it's never easy to be broken but it is necessary so I will give you an example now of someone who is a great leader but not broken are you interested to learn because the older I got the more I realized the key is broken leaders but it is so counterintuitive we really don't think about it even when you begin to select leaders in your company when I gave this talk many business leaders asked me if they can copy or if I can give a talk in their company because this is so counterintuitive when it comes to corporate leadership let me give you example many of you have heard of Messiah let's read together ready go Isaiah was 16 years old when he became king he did right in the side of the Lord he continued to seek God and as long as he sought the Lord God prospered him aasaiya began very well imagine 16 years old he became king not only did he become the king the Bible tells us he did right so he began well he did right in the state of the Lord he continued to seek God you see this is the paradox of the Christian life as long as he sought the Lord God prospered him as long as you put God first that gives us promise yes or no I'm not teaching prosperity theology and teaching biblical theology what is biblical theology sickie first his kingdom and his righteousness his kingdom first and his righteousness what's the promise all of these things will be added unto you that's one of our family theme verse that one of CCF theme first when we started I trained the men put God first in everything you do right having said that he was blessed praise God not the paradox and the irony of somebody who begins to walk with God like you you go through problems you begin to walk with God and he begins to bless you the paradox and the irony is this this is the danger let's read together when he became strong his heart was so proud you see pride somebody once said the chief occupation of the chief hazard the main hazard the main danger of leadership it's really success do you know success has his own danger it's like CCF I met with the biggest churches once here we meet together all the megachurch pastors we try to gather once a year you will not know about this group because we are low-profile you will not see that in a website but we meet once a year these are churches with 50,000 people hundred thousand people no big churches but they are shall we say better if you have a big church a new own a jet plane you are qualifying in this group oh hi because your lifestyle does not match the calling we believe of a pastor you see the difference now is very businessman and you own a jet plane you are welcome because in this business group we have another group the Business Forum but I'm talking about pastors and one of the things we discuss is how many pastors have fallen in what they are fallen because the success of their ministry has entered their head and they stopped becoming accountable to people one of the blessing of shishya web accountability group no leader can be a leader without accountability group you cannot become a pastor religion shishi if you don't have a small group if we don't have accountability group you know why you and I need accountability group do you know why I need mirror I need people who can tell me point blank Peter you are wrong now many leaders when they become successful everybody is afraid of them just look at your own life do you have people who love you enough that if they see you doing something not right you will listen to them how many of you have such men that they know you enough and their courageous enough to point out to you what's wrong with you raise your hand I'm sure not many guys you are in danger because you cannot go through life without an accountability group you need be part of an accountability group where you open the agree people you trust now don't make somebody you don't trust beer accountability group you know what is missing and then when they advise you you don't listen to them because your hypocrite you tell them apart I found a very tired I've seen this in CCF I confronted the leader before and the accountability partner told him example go right you must not do if you must go right you know what he did he decided to leave us instead of listening he doesn't like the advice that's not account ability accountability means you are humble enough to listen if somebody tells you the way you are treating your wife is wrong the way you are running your business is wrong you listen most men don't have this so Mike what are you part of the assignment here that's one of the challenges look for accountability partner in the pastures all the passer submit their name Ricky we have done this I know whom he's around the ball - I know Pastor Bob who's accountable to you know why we have that covenant computer super non toil she passed her bone it's a horse pasture bone well there there she I know is here I saw him example only example none I don't mind using an example I sir bomb is broken no I'm serious he's broken he was broken before he came to see Aryan why God made sure all the soy sauce will be removed he got broken if you can see his life what he went through it's really very painful broken but assuming the soy sauce will come back so yes I found the regroup and I will talk to you I will talk to him privately if he does not listen to me our chorus accountability group party my issue daya harper up entire my friend I'm scared for you guys who don't have accountability group my family my wife my children they pointed out to me what I must do what I must not do and I listen to them just this week my wife left on Tuesday to go to she's attending a seminar with my daughter on a half you know my wife loves to help our people become healthy but she told me are you gonna get a massage because we usually massage in our house I said honey are you bothered he said you know I would rather you don't get any massage when I'm not here now to me I could get angry la Bonita my MA sure they're fat you know they are in my mind in my mind it's nothing but what's accountability you listen I'm happy to tell her when she comes back this Sunday honey you know massage me my whole point is accountability means we listen so this guy was so proud he acted corruptly he was unfaithful he entered the temple to burn incense now the problem is he does not have accountability because when Esther ayah the priests entered after him in the other priests they opposed to sire the king and said it is not for you sire to burn incense to the Lord you see you say I was the King he entered the temple he wanted to burn incense in this man I'm the king I can do anything I want that's a problem with success entitlement you think you're the boss you can do anything you want that's his problem so when Azariah and a group of men confronted him bossboss it's not for you it's not for you Hosea to burn incense now let me ask you a question if you are the king what will you do if you are if you understand accountability what will you do huh he will listen according to my friend he will have the head chop he will you are telling me what not to do but I got well that was what exactly was about to happen the King instead of humbling himself in a broken leader listen you know what the king did Shia with a sensor in his hand for burning incense everybody Reed was louder now let me ask you if your wife corrects you if either man corrects you how do you feel I've seen this I've seen people get angry I've seen them raise their voice I remember in the leadership gathering and nobody was even trying to correct him just pointing out what's wrong with what his presentation is man he got angry he began to raise his voice people who are not broken you can see their temper and the Bible tells us while he was enraged with the priests what did God do the leprosy brought out of his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord suddenly God struck him with leprosy leprosy is basically incurable in the time of the Old Testament and the Bible tells us the chief priests Azariah and all the priests look at him and behold he was lepers on his forehead the infection began on the forehead they sealed they hurried him out of the of there and he himself hastened to get out why everybody will you know God knows what to do with us all I would suggest don't be stubborn that you wait until God deals with you she God loves this ayah but this ayah was not broken God's gave him a signal priests to warn him he does not listen so God gave him the procedure could have killed him the penalty is really death and God did it in times ago remember in the Book of Numbers you got people offering sensor both fire came from heaven kill them God club killed this guy but in his mercy in his love he gave him leprosy to me it's a lesson for you and for me King Messiah was a leper the day of his death you know God knows how to put a leader in the chef's you are placing the chef you are no longer used mightily by God and I've seen this in my lifetime I've seen leaders used to be used by God mightily but because of pride and brokenness all right I will set you aside the power is gone the ministry is gone the effectiveness is gone my friend I don't like you to be put in a chef you want God to use you yes or no now be serious with me do you really want got the issue be broken what does it mean to be broken that's a very important question you see John Studd the chief occupational hazard of leadership is what pride that's why brokenness is necessary for example Jacob had to be broken remember that schema it was a process the guy was broken he became dislocated you know why God wrestled with him Joseph my goodness Joseph had to be broken I say young man he was sold as a slave he whom God will use he really breaks most chefs my goodness Moses first 40 years Moses thought he was somebody some affair of the Prince Oh Indy puede God send him away for the next 40 years alone in the wilderness to be broken and after eight years he came back he begun the ministry at the age of 80 how many of you are 80 raise your hand my papa that's why don't be tired okay don't return oh you know David David wait when you think of David what enters your mind tell me tell me this group what enters your mind David okay what I heard so far what I heard is Goliath and Bathsheba yes or no that's what I heard you guys that's what you remember right Wow amazing guy Goliath and then at the pinnacle of his power not yet broken what did he do sobbing a chick boy chick boy this guy got involved with a married woman called what's her name Bathsheba what do you guys do you will now see the breaking process what about Paul we'll discuss tomorrow Paul you know I have current events George Whitefield built by the remind me if we have time when I talk about them so I want to share with you the example of brokenness with I trust one of them just quickly David you know why David I really believe many of you can identify with David yes or no yeah because many of you are chick boy yes or no I think almost all men once upon a time yes or no we're all the same yes or no I'm already using the pronoun we as I'm marina Valjean yes or no all right the Bible tells us some 51a some of David notice when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had gone into Bathsheba now in many sounds you don't have the subscript but in this particular son you have the subscript or the superscript it tells you the occasion of how the son was written so historically you have the background now you have to remember David was in denial when he committed adultery what was he seen adultery what else murder deception guys if you think you are bad hopefully you're not as bad as they be but I want to share with you there's nothing that you have done in the past that God cannot redeem all our failures all our mistakes all our regrets God can redeem man that's what you need to understand God can do something about our failures provided you are broken but until you are broken he cannot do anything not to show you the brokenness of David we won't have time to analyze the entire son but just even sample okay the reason why I like David do you recall what was the eulogy of God for the life of David what did God described David he was a man after his own heart this amazing yeah if I'm if I'm comparing David with soul what was the sin of Salah was seen up David I mean between us humanly speaking who is a worse sinner if you ask me so of course so seeing in the eyes of God is really worse okay disobedience willful disobedience consulting with the dead not honoring God but what amazes me about Davian was how God described him at the end of his life you know how God described him guys this is to encourage you because God told David look at Acts chapter 13 the New Testament described David his eulogy everybody ready let's read with a start here okay the whole thing he he had removed him King Saul he raised up David to be their king concerning whom he testified look everybody with I found David the son of Jesse a man after my heart who will do all my way you know I'm just surprised David is called a man after God's own heart even though God knew what is gonna do someday the sin of adultery the sin of murder the sin of deception you know why because the compas of David's heart is pointed in the right direction what do I mean when your compass is directed to follow God to please him you may go astray just like any airplane but eventually you'll go back because God knows how to you're a stubborn what we gotta do he breaks you to bring you back you know my prayer is really God will say Peter you are a man after my own heart would you like to be called that way a man after God's own heart be broken so how was he broken look at what he said be gracious to me O God according to your loving-kindness according to the greatness of your compassion blot out my transgressions now people do not know that David if you ask me is not that not just for Goliath not just for Bathsheba but for repentance say that we need repentance you want to repent of your sin you analyze sound 51 how do you confess your sin look at how he did it be gracious to me you count the number of times the pronoun measures in the next three four verses you'll be amazed how many times that pronoun issues he was assuming responsibility be gracious to me of God according to your loving-kindness according the greatness of your compassion blot out my notice my not blaming other it's my sin Lord be gracious to me blot out my transgressions notice again she was me thoroughly from my sin notice it's actually responsibility watch me my iniquity cleanse me from my sin I know my transgressions my sin is ever before me do you understand a broken person he does not focus on the sins of other people he's a lord me watch me my iniquity cleanse me my sin my transgressions my sin is ever before me that is the meaning of brokenness you come before God and you say Lord I am a sinner my sin my transgression watch me notice against you you only I have sinned and done what is evil in your sight you are justified when you speak and blameless when you judge David new Lord it's about me while David sinned against Bathsheba and against Uriah the husband but ultimately David knew sin is always against who God let me repeat everybody look at me man every seen you commit is ultimately against God you will never be broken until you understand the holiness of God and everything that you and I do is against the heart and the love of God it's serious people take sin lightly because they don't understand ultimately sin is a violation of our love for God David knew that I've sinned against you no wonder at the last part of his confession What did he say Lord you do not delight in sacrifice otherwise I would give it you are not pleased with burnt offerings Lord if it's about you know doing penance if it's about doing all of this ever abandoned that's easy but nor does not what you like you know what God wants everybody read the sacrifices of God and what God want is what a broken spirit a broken and a contrite heart and my friend I'm feel you are broken over your own sinfulness until you have contrition nothing it's you synonymously brokenness contract you will not know what brokenness see brokenness is coming before God in deep humility Lord Here I am humility contrition knowing the Lord I am a sinner so what is brokenness you know brokenness is really deep repentance is a contrite heart its humility is a surrendered will it's no longer i but Christ so that's brokenness and God wants you to experience the fullness of life by being broken counterintuitive for example it's so counterintuitive look Jesus tells us everybody read he was saying to them all if anyone wishes to come after me deny yourself take up your cross daily and follow me no shortcut he invites you he was saying to them all if anyone wishes to come after me he want to follow Jesus it turns you heart be broken deny yourself take up your cross daily look at the cross the symbol of the cross complete surrender not my will but thine counter-intuitive guys you will not learn this in school you will not learn this in any leadership seminar but it's my burden I want you guys to be men leaders broken leaders are you broken she broken leaders will serve God not on his term on God's team not my will but dying that's the meaning you know many of us like to serve God but you know how you're serving him Lord I will serve you based on what I like you serve God based on your terms that's not broken this broken leaders are different they are not complaining they are not demanding you see a sense of humility you look at their posture humble you can tell if somebody's broken or not sooner or later it's a process it's painful and warning you but it's good you must learn to embrace you must cooperate with God take up your cross daily my friend daily and follow me Paul understood this you know what Paul said I've been crucified with Christ no longer I who live my my seminary professor used to say there are many Christians serving the Lord with and crucified flesh you are serving the Lord with and crucified flesh we must be crucified with Christ a crucified person is a broken person no more I remember one of our young leaders I was talking to him maybe two weeks ago this immediate boss was telling me this guy wants to serve God best on his term he wants this particular ministry I want to serve God but it must be like this it's not like this I'm gonna leave when I heard that he wants to serve God but he wants to serve God in a particular way in a particular ministry and if the boss doesn't agree he said maybe I'll just live when I heard that I said not broken so I talked to him privately I said tell me what happened see when I hear something I don't jump conclusion I want to hear what really went on what do you mean by that by the grace of God after a discussion you said okay I'm wrong I'll surrender and I told him if you don't learn to be broken you want to serve God on your term I said God will not use you mightily in shishya there's no room for leaders who are like that full of stuff I said I want to help you praise God he apologized to the to his immediate superior because he is learning how to be broken so brokenness and blessings that's a topic today what's the blessing of brokenness this is something that money can buy you know I like you to embrace brokenness you know I look at the blessing intimacy with God spiritual revival renewal fruitfulness do you ever feel dry spiritually at times how many of you be honest with me raise your hands you feel dry spiritually at times yes or no welcome to the club now I'll give you a secret the secret of spiritual revival it has worked for me for 50 years my friend but the grace of God I've walked with the Lord for many years I'm going to share with you God's simple principle glad simple principle to avoid burnout to avoid discouragement no shortcut it's called what darkness when you're broken you will experience intimacy with God when you're intimate with God you will experience spiritual revival the energy comes from God so burnout depression is not gonna be a problem provided you understand brokenness because the chief beneficiary of brokenness is yourself intimacy with God revival and fruitfulness I'll now show you the verses let's talk about intimacy with God and the new one everybody do you know God has two addresses God lives in two places in other one in the heavenly and one in let's read everybody be together for that says the high and exalted one who lives forever whose name is holy I dwell on high and holy face ah so girls tell you where he is I dwell on high I dwell on high and holy place and his second address everybody readest and what with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and revived the of the contract beautiful God says I dwell with a contrite and lowly of heart how can you not be revived when you experience intimacy with God there's a big difference between the presence of God which is universal in all over the place and the manifest intimate presence of God that he makes known to you privately there's a big difference we all know God is present yes or no God is all over the place yes or no of course I'm not talking about that I'm talking about but Jesus also promised in the Gospel of John where I am remember jesus said I and the father will honor him and we will make our abode with him he who does my will Isaiah 57 is an example God said I will dwell with the contrite and lowly why to revive the spirit so my friend isn't me if you're discouraged you are down I teach you you get on your knees you cry to God Lord I'm broken Lord I cannot do this just be silent before God practice humility because God gives us a promise God is a post the proud but what gives grace to the humble brokenness is humility so you humble your 34 God you'll be amazed the pain will be gone if you are angry because somebody misjudge you because somebody criticized you because somebody's landed you because somebody gossipy all right you are angry you come before God and you be broken you be humble Lord it's really true I'm not perfect my reputation is being shut being disturbed but Lord it's okay because Lord it's not about me it's about you you humble yourselves and the Bible says he will give you what grief I tell you I experienced grief every time I'm done I Spit on grace so I'm revived do you see how simple it is okay somebody told me Oh Peter pastor there's a email slandering you because of this habit I don't react but should I react I feel bad what do I do I get my knees say Lord it's not about me you are asking me to humble myself so if the whole world thinks I'm bad but you think I'm good I'm happy what is important is Lord what do you think of me see if you humble yourselves you don't care about what people say anymore but sometimes you forget you react so when you react what you do get on your knees you pray and then you feel good again you see my spirits leave I do you think I'm revived this morning or you think you can tired revived renewed amen okay gee the Lord David experiences David said the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed who are contrite in spirit that's the meaning of brokenness trust humble yourself I am really proud okay if people criticize you just admit I told my wife one time I see honey just admit you submit admit your sinfulness you will be liberated humble yourself tell your neighbor humble yourself yes look at the secret of fruitfulness Jesus said truly truly I say to you unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies it remains alone if it dies it bears much fruit you know the context of this when you go home you read it's about Jesus going to the cross and after this verse he turns the people follow me if you love your life you will lose it give up your life for my sake the meaning of dying to yourself unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies how many of you like to fall into the earth and die we'd like to be on top we like to be displayed but God is saying you are useless until you are buried and died in the earth Stesha unless the weight falls into the earth and dies it remains alone but if it dies while robbing very mastered by the way don't tell people I'm telling you to commit suicide but I'm asking you to commit it well you die to yourself I don't know the the suicide of the soul learn to die to yourself I'm not asking you to kill yourself let Christ crucified amen now how do you crucify yourself how you can't hey one hand Hey how this mean how do you crucify yourself maybe you put one hand under what would and the name Oh how will you crucify the other hand many of you are trying to die to yourself you can't get ten oh jesus lord help me to die to myself in to die to my ambition Lord it's about you amen the key humility humility humility Jesus Jesus Jesus but you cannot do it on your own if you think the Christian life is you can do it on your own you're mistaken everybody read this it's a wonder what God can do with a broken heart if you get all the pieces as we close I'm gonna give you some steps of how to experience brokenness would you like actual story in the Bible right let's begin what are the steps what's a key here's the secret to die to yourself the secret is focus on the Lord look at this story in the year of king uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne lofty exalted with the Train of his robe filling the temple you notice something about Isaiah the Bible tells us in the year of king uzziah's death now you have to know remember who sia we just read about him he was a leper remember now you know for any King that passed away there's gonna be some kind of concern possible chaos possible confusion in the land yes or no so Isaiah but the grace of God this guy must be well connected in the palace because when you write when you see how I say right he stopped the novelty nobility I mean he says in the Erebus death I saw the Lord my friend the importance of having a fresh encounter with God God revealed himself supernaturally to Isaiah perhaps Isaiah was fearful and now I do not know what's going on in your life today okay I don't know what's going on but when you feel afraid when you feel you're nervous when they feel like things are out of control fix your eyes on the Lord the Bible says I saw the Lord where was the Lord according to this verse where was the Lord seated on the throne lowly lofty and exalted in other word God wants to remind us at the end of the day I am the boss I'm the king of kings it is a matter what will happen to presidental third it is a matter what will happen to Donald Trump it doesn't matter what will happen to the earthly Kings God is saying I'm on the throne now because of that amazing vision he saw a high view of God to be broken the secret is not focused on yourself I'm afraid if I don't teach you properly you'll be taking anything broken I need to be broken if you keep thinking of yourself the more you will not be broken no you focus on Jesus father on the Lord Serafima stood above him it's having six wings with two he covered his face with two he covered his feet with two he flew now this is a similar vision that the Apostle John saw in the book of Revelation exactly the same that's why you know the Bible is one entire book John saw in heaven the same thing now Seraphim this is plural setup is singular these are super angel fiery angel Seraphim these are super beings if I want to make a movie Marvel movie you know Marvel movie you have what this superhero nothing will compare to the power of the Seraphim there are super beings and the Bible tells us God is so holy they are not even worthy to see in face to face such is the majesty of God and one called out to another everybody with holy holy holy is the Lord of Hosts do you know what I see I saw at a relation for goddess then he saw the holiness of God when the Bible uses a word repeated three times especially in the Old Testament do you know the significance because they don't have adjectives the last superlatives like holy holy holy s they don't have that in their grandma they want to emphasize something the highest degree they repeat holy holy holy and you don't see the adjectives about God repeated three times other than do you see the world love love God no power power power God no but you see the word holy holy holy why is that crucial because brokenness will happen when you have a first encounter with who God is and his holiness that is what is lacking today in Christian discipleship shallow they know the scripture in the head but they do not know the author of life people tell me I want deeper Bible study deeper I want deeper truth my friend what can be deeper than John 3:16 for God so loved the world that God loves me God is holy amazing so when I say I saw the holiness of God the whole earth is full of his glory my friend today people don't see the glory of God today but when your eyes are opened you will see the majesty of God that's what you need to do you need to cultivate private worship that's what I believe in private worship do you do private worship where no one is watching you just you and the Lord my blessing is I carve out morning that's one of my blessing at this point in my life because I can afford to control my schedule but I really make it a priority I always tell people don't say you don't have time just say it's not important to me but don't ever tell me you don't have time don't tell me you don't have time for private worship are we communicating just tell me you know what it's not my priority but don't tell me you don't have time I guarantee you have time the moment I tell you the dr. 30 you have cancer would you have time to go to the hospital how come suddenly you have time because you have time for what is important to you so private worship I suggest is important you know where I come on Sunday you know why I come on corporate worship because corporate worship to me is different from private worship I combine the two that to me is priority I make time so guys I wanted to be broken man understanding how the experience brokenness encounter with God the whole earth is full of his glory the word glory means weight be gut you really know God is important God is precious there is weight you don't treat him like air and in the Bible dress tells us the foundation of the threshold tremble at the voice of him who called in other word he encountered who God is neither His Holiness the power the super energy that's ongoing my friend that's why on Judgment Day I tell you nobody will be so proud enough as to put a fist against God on Judgment Day I tell you every knee will bow every tongue will confess look at this verse the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him not even God at the voice of the angel just the angel speaking there was trembling already such is the power of God and those who serve Him then I said notice how do you know you have encountered God brokenness follows who everybody read woe is me I am ruined I am a man of unclean lips I live among people and thin lips my eyes have seen the king the Lord of all this is my thesis when you encounter God intimately the first thing that happens to you is you see your own sinfulness you become broken Lord I am a sinner many people are not broken because they have not encountered the holiness of God they are not humble enough to see that God is holy and I am a sinner I was talking to somebody two days ago in the locker room I talked to you about Jesus right he was laughing he said I'm gonna go to heaven I'm good I'm good then he added compared to other people and good most people think they are good you know why because they compare themselves to other people but they don't compare themselves to God friends once you encounter God the first thing that enters your mind Lord I am sinner when Peter encountered the Lord Peter said get away from me Lord I mean I'm a sinner do you recall look at the Bible men who encounters God the first thing that happens to them is dead bow down and they say Lord I'm unworthy excessive o-mint above all video ah I'm ruined Lord I'm ruined that's brokenness I'm a sinner and I'm in my bank in dips look he talks about the sin of the lips not just talking about adultery even the lips the Bible says the lips is the hardest part of your body to control you know what was the book of James the last part of your body to be controlled by the Holy Spirit is your tongue why because out of the heart the tongue speaks so when it talks about my lips is unclean he's talking about my heart is unclean but you know what that's a good thing of God you know without hesitation one of the Seraphim flew to me with a burning pole in his hand while he had taken from the altar with tongs he touched my mouth with it and said Behold this has touched your lips your iniquity is taken away your sin is forgiven what a beautiful picture of what Christ is going to do for us the moment you admit you Sina the moment you admit that you are not worthy what happens god here's a picture burning coal on the altar at the altar the call came from the alternate the altar of sacrifice is a preacher when Jesus died on the cross that's how we are forgiven and the Bible tells us you are your iniquity is taken away your sin is forgiven let me ask you a question thus God won't forgive us yes or no does he want to experience intimacy with us yes the kiss intimacy is holiness so when you are humble enough your experience is forgiveness and when there is forgiveness there is holiness and when there's holiness you have the presence of God it's broken that's important yes how are you broken look at the process God focus on the Lord his holiness his love for you then you experience your own sinfulness I said yes when you worship God privately forget about the sin of your wife forget about the sin of other people just focus on your own Lord here I don't think of changing other people man are you listening to me begin with ourselves hey tell your neighbor let's begin with us be broken don't go home and tell your wife you know I learned you need to be broken ya bum ya bum oh don't go back and then start telling others you need to be broken you mean alright then notice intimacy with God then and then I heard the voice of the Lord whom shall I send and who will go for us not as God was not even speaking to him but intimacy with God he heard the Trinity speaking whom shall I send who will go for us can he imagine dialogue going on who was God speaking to do you realize in the book of John Jesus said I say so my glory Jesus was referring to himself when you go to Isaiah he is saying I say talks about my glory in the Old Testament you don't see the word Jesus appearing yes or no but when you go to the New Testament you see Jesus referring to himself so I say the air here is Isaiah after intimacy with God cleanse receiving forgiveness of sin he heard when he heard the heart of God speaking what did he do what do you do What did he say here am i sent Rickie nobody says here am i send him here am i send who me Frank you got a mission I want to tell you something about the mission of God for CCF we're into discipleship yes or no so this is my encouragement to you how many of you are already deciding a group of men raise your hand higher higher okay stand up stand up you're already starting group of men stand up you are already decide playing group of men okay now those of you are standing up can you look around you just look around you no no look at the seating now you know what excites me you know what excites me those of you who are seated I know for a fact after this message you will not be the same yes or no because you will be broken you want to be broken and you want to do what God wants you to do and here is my encouragement after this gathering between now and next month you look for one guy minimum look for one man there is younger in the faith that you can help mentor the way you begin my challenge to you if you are married if you are married your priority is disciple your own sons disciple your own family okay however if you have time if you have time and those of you are single you not focus on other men get one man pray for one guy that you will specially pay attention to us now how do you choose a guy you ask God to guide you to somebody who is teachable who is willing understand you pray Lord send me somebody and I will give you the materials we have the material for you Mike will give you ABCD how do you teach somebody we have simple materials but you will give it to you and you look for somebody okay you start meeting with them now option 1 you don't have to meet with Li but if you have time say can we have coffee and then every month when there is gathering here you bring that particular guy with you here and during discussion group you help that guy sit beside you are we communicating is that doable of course trouble you know I teach you but the Lord has impressed upon my heart I've been praying for you I like to help you and then you invite him once a month Saturday dito ok anymore after this Ta'ala show up out Maura Maura now I know man if you say let's have lunch together they will agree but come here at 9:00 and then every time just break out group no more random you have somebody you want to be meeting are we communicating is this doable yes okay that's my challenge to the singles you have more time now what do I say ultimately I ask you up to three men I call this one is the three star with one guy and then possible another guy so before the end of the year you will not have three men then you will bring here every week or every month minimum every month understand now if you already sapling man that's great then and that's good then you choose among your disciples you bring here are we communicating and then you know what's gonna happen this treatment past you is four then make sure you challenge each one of them get one first then get to then get three that's how you grow you will not grow until you begin to teach others so who are the people you will teach may I suggest get somebody younger than you somebody who is humble but you learn brokenness then you pass on brokenness I say what's given the commission go tell these people keep on listening does not proceed keep on looking but do not understand in other words when you are broken you don't choose your assignment yes a man was not easy you I say as God know how long how long would I do this you know what God told I say until cities are devastated without inhabitant houses are without people and the land is utterly desolate in another world when you are broken you listen to God and he ask you to do things it may not be easy can imagine for Isaiah God says you keep on doing it how long can't be a long time until see these are devastated their inhabitant Isaiah whether you are successful or not is not your problem you just do what I ask you to do so friend I'm asking you reach out to other people help them either they will change or not change whose job is it look at me God but God wants to look at your heart so begin with yourself now I know for this group perhaps majority will take the challenge some of you may not but I pray all of you will take the challenge you know why if you want your life to be meaningful to be purposeful be broken quis brokenness as you are broken then you help others you see the order broken before God spend time with the Lord humble yourselves and then you experience the forgiveness of God when you experience the forgiveness of God you reach out to others that's the meaning of being a man a broken leader who cares for others I wanted to Shepherd other men not just your family okay but if you have a family your parity would be your children the Bible calls us not the Bible I love this quotation everybody read the world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to him and then wider moody said Lord let me be that man you see dry Talmud he heard this from a preacher the preacher said the world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to him I'm gonna tell you now the world still has to see what man any one of you if you fully commit your life to Him fully surrendered the world will help will yet have to see what he can do in your life first then through your life you see the Christian life is about God working in us breaking us and then we allow him to work through us so ministry it's not about you it's about him brokenness is a process yes is it painful yes is it necessary yes but the blessing is amazing the blessing of intimacy the blessing of provider the brain the blessing of fruitfulness you know I want to close with Jorge with film how many you have heard of George Whitfield and John Wesley well George Whitfield was a carbonless John Wesley was their minion more or less and their followers for in the Thompsons do you see the potential for disagreement yes or no God used George Whitefield God use John's John Wesley to bring about a revival in Europe and America both were used mightily of God but can I tell you about these two when their followers when their fathers asked George would be film do you think we will see John Wesley in heaven understand they were implying he might not even go to heaven you know what George Whitfield said I think you and I will be will have a hard time seeing John Wesley because he will be so near that throne of God and we will be so far away humidity of George Whitfield one day somebody wrote against him buts wrong with him they were criticizing him you know what he did he wrote back thank you for what you have said there if you only know the truth I've even worse the muddy Britain humility when John Wesley was about to die George Whitefield brought something saying you're about to enter the amazing throne of God there's a big world comes blah blah blah blah but the truth is John Wesley did not die ahead George Whitefield who died first but because they were good friends John Wesley spoke George Whitefield asked John Wesley can you speak in my funeral service broken leaders love each other you know what John Wesley said about George Whitefield would you like to know this what he said he said there are many doctrines of a less essential nature with regard to which even the most sincere children of God have been divided for many ages in this we may think and I think we may agree to disagree they never allowed doctrinal differences to divide them what is the essential truth a person is saved by grace alone through faith yes or no if you believe that Jesus Christ is the savior he died on the cross for our sins and by his death and resurrection we are given assurance of forgiveness and salvation is there any other that is more important than this essential doctrine yes or no my concern is I've seen many leaders not broken when you are not broken you can have lots of problem so my prayer is this be broken all right you know John Wesley by the grace of God he conducted amazing memorial service you know what they wrote with other Arabia throne awaits you and before long you will enter into your masters joy with a massive ground ready to be put on your head and the admiring throng of saints and angels see these guys love each other they respect each other but they don't have to agree in every other minor details when it comes to essentials agree broken people are not focused on minor issues be broken can you tell your neighbor tell never be broken you know as we close they discovered seeds thousands of years old they been discovered seeds in the pyramids these are seeds not in the pyramids but same story series that have been kept but not in the ground just kept in a dry place in the pyramid you have seen kept in a dark room moist dreary nothing happens but after thousands of years when they discover the seed they planted it on the ground remember what Jesus said unless a grain of wheat what falls into the earth and dies it remains alone if it dies it bears much fruit well this is called the Methuselah plan you know what is the Methuselah plan this is over 2,000 years or the seed when they planted this just a few decades ago today if you go to Israel you will see this as of May 2015 it is now three metres tall but this seed was once upon a time for thousands of years nothing does he see some of you are just like that you are still a sin you're not used by God you're not broken I pray learn to be broken let's read this point together together when God wants to drill a man drill Emma skill a man to play the noblest part to create so great and ball demand that all the world shall be amazed what's his method what's his ways how he relentlessly perfect whom he wrongly elects how he hammers him hurts him with mighty blows converging into trial shapes of clay which only God understands while his tortured heart is crying he lifts beseeching hands how he bends but never breaks when his good he understate how he uses whom he chooses and with every purpose fuses him by every app induces him to try his splendor out god knows what is about friend be broken may God bless you thank you [Applause]
