alright hey guys been a while since we put a video up there and uh you know what it's an incredible Monday here what July I think it is and snuck away for the afternoon got my son Dylan with me up here in the mountains and we came up with a purpose we minivan minivan so we've got this Kimber Matt in the sand and I pride a couple videos about that and I got it so dialed in in a hundred yards with this load and my range near my house is only a hundred yards it's that's all I'm comfortable with there so we wanted to get out and test it out a little bit further so we've got targets down here at 200 and 300 and where we're at right here we could get a 400 but I think for today we're just gonna be happy with with 300 and we just sent one and I can actually see it on the target even with just 9 X we sent one to 300 and it was about two and a half low and just an inch to the right there is a little bit of a breeze to the right between us and the target so I'm really happy with that that matches up with the ballistics that I have this tuned in at and the chart that I made if you're not familiar with how I do that I have videos about it but if if you're still not sure reply and let me know and I can walk you back through it it's amazing it's it's it's mathematics right so it's accurate and it's proven to be very accurate again here at 300 so this rifle is is gonna be with me on a mule deer hunt this fall and I don't think I'm comfortable shooting at deer size targets much beyond 300 I'm gonna play around this summer at 400 and see but I need 300 maybe my limit for deer this fall just what I'm comfortable with that I can ethically you know make a quick clean kill anyway that's what we're up to you today we'll do a walk up down there and I'm gonna send another one to that same target and we'll do a walk up and see if we can exactly figure out where those hit stay tuned guys hey so we're walking up to that 300 yard target and you know you guys been watching my channel for a while or those of you who are new to it you know I'm just gonna make another pitch for each to their own what range you're comfortable hunting yeah and shooting that you know I'm just I've hunted for a long time been fortunate to harvest a lot of animals in a lot of different conditions and field conditions change I just hope everybody will make ethical choices and do the right thing as far as making sure you can humanely deliver those shots so like I said this this is 300 and these were this this one right here was cold bore this was probably what three minutes between shots yeah and so we've got basically a one inch group so we're 1/3 MOA at 300 yards s that's awesome so I'm really excited the elevation of these two shots is right where it should be based on my ballistics the end to the right is interesting I'm at a hundred yards I'm dad zero and so I'll play around a little bit and maybe I'm not maybe I'm just a skosh to the right at 100 and that's why they're printing at a hundred but I don't know how much experience you guys have with ultralight rifles so that can boom out in the sand is just at five and a half pounds with everything and shooting those accurately at a distance it's a challenge it has been for me at least so I'm really excited about this outcome and before fall gets here I'm going to be very comfortable that I can just duplicate this from a variety of positions off my backpack you know different rest scenarios that are filled like conditions this was proof of concept off the bench I know the rifles capable now it'll just come down to me and Matt's we're gonna keep working on all summer so when I head out in October I'm comfortable you know that I can deliver those bullets where they need to be all right guys take care I appreciate it
