I think if there’s one thing I think if there’s one thing that we lack in the world today it’s trust. today it’s trust. Well, the bad part about that Well, the bad part about that is that kind of goes over is that kind of goes over into our relationship into our relationship with God. with God. See if things are going bad See if things are going bad for you then they’re going for you then they’re going to go bad, but we need to go bad, but we need the Lord to love us, the Lord to love us, to forgive us. to forgive us. But I’m not going to worry But I’m not going to worry about it, but we do worry about it, but we do worry an awful lot about things. an awful lot about things. See, the greatest act of See, the greatest act of distrust you give to God is distrust you give to God is when you worry about whether when you worry about whether He forgave you this sin or He forgave you this sin or that sin. When you look back and you When you look back and you wonder, what did I make a wonder, what did I make a mistake and maybe I mistake and maybe I should’ve taken this turn or should’ve taken this turn or that turn; we don’t trust that turn; we don’t trust that even if I make a that even if I make a mistake--because He loves me. mistake--because He loves me. You see, love and trust go You see, love and trust go together. together. Some people are not happy Some people are not happy unless they worry. unless they worry. It’s too dry, too wet, It’s too dry, too wet, too cold, too hot. too cold, too hot. They just have an They just have an inclination to worry. inclination to worry. I think that is whole I think that is whole problem of trust. problem of trust. We’re not to sure God will We’re not to sure God will take care of us. take care of us. You work hard, you exercise You work hard, you exercise your talent, you make a your talent, you make a living, but there’s an living, but there’s an element of uncertainty element of uncertainty in everybody’s life. in everybody’s life. No certainty in the lives No certainty in the lives of youth, uncertainty in of youth, uncertainty in the lives of the aged, the lives of the aged, conditions, the world, conditions, the world, all this tend towards all this tend towards uncertainty and that’s uncertainty and that’s where you’ve got to trust where you’ve got to trust the Lord. the Lord. There was a form of trust in There was a form of trust in the prodigal son that the the prodigal son that the elder son didn’t have. elder son didn’t have. He had squandered his money. He had repentance, but he He had repentance, but he trusted that his father trusted that his father would take him as a servant. would take him as a servant. No. No. We must trust in the Lord We must trust in the Lord that whatever it is right that whatever it is right now I must, I must act now I must, I must act with it. with it. I must deal with it. I must deal with it. You see this is a beautiful You see this is a beautiful book called, "Jesus Appeals book called, "Jesus Appeals to the World". to the World". It’s a kind of unknown nun. It’s a kind of unknown nun. Her name is Consolata Her name is Consolata Betrone. Betrone. When you’re drunk you When you’re drunk you confess them to everybody. confess them to everybody. You tell your neighbor your You tell your neighbor your sins. sins. You go and pay $50 an hour You go and pay $50 an hour to some psychiatrist. to some psychiatrist. So don’t give me that stuff So don’t give me that stuff --you don’t tell your sins --you don’t tell your sins to a man. to a man. You tell them to people who You tell them to people who have no authority from God have no authority from God to forgive them. to forgive them. And then they leave you and And then they leave you and then everybody knows in the then everybody knows in the neighborhood knows exactly neighborhood knows exactly what you did. what you did. Now does that make sense Now does that make sense to you? to you? Huh? Huh? That doesn’t make any sense. That doesn’t make any sense. Sometimes when we speak on our own we have to figure our own we have to figure out what we’re going to say out what we’re going to say and when we’re going to say and when we’re going to say and who’s going to miss Him. and who’s going to miss Him. And I think you have to And I think you have to test it. test it. You need somebody in that You need somebody in that prayer group that can test prayer group that can test the Word before you say it. the Word before you say it. Test the word of knowledge, Test the word of knowledge, because you don’t know. because you don’t know. First of all there’s this First of all there’s this word. word. Is it something that’s going Is it something that’s going to lift the soul up to God? to lift the soul up to God? If its condemnation I would If its condemnation I would never think it was from the never think it was from the Spirit. Spirit. We need to be very careful. We need to be very careful. And if when I feel the Lord And if when I feel the Lord wants me to say is something wants me to say is something that’s going to lift someone that’s going to lift someone up, something’s going to up, something’s going to bring them closer to the bring them closer to the Lord, then.
