Modding Skyrim VR as Immersive as Possible

but there's one they fear in their tongue he's dovahkiin dragonborn my skyrim vr used to look like this but after two years a new pc and an unholy number of mods today my skyrim vr looks like this the frame rate and the the texture quality like look at look at my veins look at look at the the blade of my sword look at this potato skyrim vr was the first vr game i ever played on christmas day when i got my oculus rift for christmas two years ago exactly two years ago christmas falls on a saturday this year so merry christmas to everyone who's watching this the day that i post it but while skyrim vr is not the best vr game by any standard it is the vr game i have played the most buy a mile okay miko's broken mikko's been behind the stove for like three days now i don't know what to do but i played it all on my little laptop that could because when i finished building my first pc six months ago i couldn't just hop back into skyrim on it because i would have to rebuild the armada of mods i had amassed over the past year and a half just to get back to where i was which would be extremely annoying please make it stop please stop please but i made the decision it's christmas break i have the time i started going through one by one not just rebuilding the skyrim vr that i had on my laptop but building the ultimate skyrim vr no holds barred maximum fidelity maximum functionality maximum nudity what a weird world we live in and the result reminds me of this saying that gets thrown around on reddit a lot which is technology at a certain level of sophistication is indistinguishable from magic for example the first mod that i installed was vrik because without vrik you are just two floating hands in skyrim vr so getting cool looking armor is pointless and fifty percent of skyrim at least is just getting cool looking clothes to try on and if you get used to how the vrik arms move when you move your wrist you start to mimic that in real life and touching your arms in vr and getting fleshy feedback breaks your brain it really does poke poke poke poke poke they also made it so you can reposition these holsters on vrik which is kind of amazing that you can put it wherever you want to and then after vrik i installed the higgs mod which since my video on it i have learned does not stand for hand interaction gone girl squidward it actually stands for hand interaction gravity gloves for skyrim and it's the most necessary mod for skyrim vr tied with vrik because higgs makes it so you can actually pick up objects let's see if higgs is working oh higgs is working perfect now let's see if cbbe is working it is definitely working and since i last played it you can grip your weapon with your offhand which makes two-handed weapons finally usable in vr i've always wanted to two-hand this thing i would always just mime it like this and now i can actually grab onto it i'm really flirting with starting a new file just to become a two-handed built for tough kind of character that's what the new game intro footage you're seeing is from oh no oh no not again this isn't supposed to be this way but vrik and higgs together completely transform skyrim vr from a gameplay perspective functionally i owe 99 of my immersion in skyrim vr to just those two mods and it felt really good to have those installed again [Music] what did you not like her or something why are we not fighting vrik is really good for archery too because this just doesn't feel the same if you can't see your arms but i don't want to play 2011 looking skyrim in vr even if it functions like a real vr game so what i did next was the software equivalent of dumping gallons and gallons and gallons of new paint onto this game this is what the ground in riverwood looks like look at that three dimensions is it normally like that oh hello chicken look at how high def the street is oh my god that looks what is going on with my wrist pause go to this time code if you don't want to waste your time but for everyone else i firmly regret ever saying the words floating rocks i have read those words repeated back to me every day this week since the last upload and this will be the last time i ever acknowledged this weird and incredibly meta meme because i hope it dies in a fire and i wanted you to acknowledge my pain what i am about to show you are brains it's hot [Music] [Music] [Music] to each and every one of you i want you to know how sincerely grateful i am and that's it because it's christmas and this is the first christmas where i could afford expensive presents for my family and i just wanted to thank you for that because that's a real thing and that's it all of this is serene to look at it's just serene to look at and this is water that's just crystal clear water oh my god static mesh improvement mod so the objects aren't shaped like tetris pieces all two gigabytes worth of noble skyrim's 2k textures plastered on top of that enhanced lighting in fx so nighttime looks like night time enb real vision for who even knows at this point other mods i wanted depended on it so i just slapped it in there like the world's worst heart surgeon enhance snow because skyrim is cold water for emb so i can ponder life at lake lenalta why are we even here you know and of course [Music] cbbe for the ladies and better males for the males look at the vein on that man's bicep which all jokes aside i genuinely got to make my npcs look better i am legit being honest i didn't get them for other reasons i just got them because they make the npcs look good this is not what i pay you for get off the table and at this point skyrim looks the absolute best it possibly can look on an rtx 3070 with 32 gigabytes of ram on an intel i9 10850 jk element op and it's magical pun absolutely intended oh god i can see the wow it's very hd vomit i truly have peaked this is the best skyrim experience possible the only mods left are the type of mods that act like unofficial dlc new weapons new armor new locations anything that strikes your fancy as you go along does geralt sword and skyrim vr make sense from a lore perspective no but does it make me happy absolutely now some people i should put this in here some people might tell you to also get fnis so you can add custom animations into the game that's something you might hear other people telling you to do not me i haven't added any mods that use custom animations because i don't really know why i would do that i feel immersed enough as it is but i just wanted to throw this in here just in case other people told you that and you were confused there is nothing suspicious about this npc i've been having a lot of fun in skyrim this past week skyrim always makes it feel like christmas for me because it's the closest thing to cold weather i can get here in america's penis and so that's why we're here but that's all i got so like this video if you want to but love yourself no matter what and for the few of
