[Music] yo are you going to start or my asmr i'll do it uh uh three three nerds with very different tastes in video games looking for a new experience to final fantasy they came that's pretty good right i think that's pretty good yeah absolutely it's really good what do you think summit was that a good one that's solid that song oh well welcome back to the show man yeah thanks for having me for a second time i appreciate it yeah for sure well uh you've been uh you've been playing a lot of different games recently i've been seeing uh playing a little bit of final fantasy new worlds coming out ashes of creation i've seen you express some interest in a lot of those games i think you even talked to steven too uh how are you feeling about gaming nowadays i feel like there's kind of a little bit like not a drought as people are saying but um definitely uh maybe games pushing interest elsewhere you know what i'm saying obviously with you in world of warcraft going to ff and i think there's like even like war zone players right now or going back to like fortnight or apex you know i mean it's a weird weird time for games so i'm kind of all over the place and uh but uh as as as you guys both have found out ff has been kind of like a weird little uh spot for us to kind of chill out on it's been a lot of fun so yeah that's i've just been kind of all over the place to be honest with you what do you guys play besides fff for me dude like i believe have you played the ashes of creation alpha so i played very briefly um i wanted to probably watch people more on that one um i immediately liked the caster class way more than the melee class because of that the whole move forward when you attack things annoying the crap out of me yeah but i didn't give ashes as much as uh as much time as i i would have wanted at all to be honest with you how did you guys feel about that uh i i mean it's obviously like a tech alpha right and so because it's a tech alpha it's going to take a while for you know the game to actually be like working it's not like the alpha like the new world alpha where this was clearly brought out to promote the game and it's it's kind of harder to do things in the ashes alpha because it's so far out from development but the new world one was much earlier into development did you play the uh the new uh the new new world one so again i kind of just took the standpoint of just watching that one while i continue to play ff and uh because i played the the the beta previous where it was you swapped your weapon the cooldown for that slot would screw it all up for the next weapon and yada yada yada so uh i was actually gonna ask you guys how you felt about that because i saw you pvping a butt load asmin you're getting big groups together and going and like stomping people out how did you feel about the fluidness of the of the new new world no cooldown aspect uh the problem with that is the fact that um basically we had way more people than the syndicate which were the purple guys but we were like xerxes army we had a whole lot of people and everybody was pretty much a [ __ ] because they were just there to show up and be on stream and have a good time meanwhile the purple guys were like the spartans and so whenever we got down into the wars and it had to be 50 versus 50 well the only thing that i had to deal with there is which you know affiliate streamer wanted to be in my group okay so it was not necessarily a very conducive environment for victory however i would say that it was still enjoyable i i liked playing the game a lot it was super fun it does seem much better than it was uh beforehand in terms of like especially like movement and in terms of like fluidity it's it's definitely a little bit better with different abilities but i'm gonna be honest man like there's a reason they delayed that game again i'm bummed i i really didn't get to play it this time around because uh you know i've just been playing so much fortnight off stream oh yeah yeah just like cranking 90s with the boys it's been like really good therapy for me uh yeah it really like lets me clear my head i i've uh i've been making like a lot of new friends playing playing fortnite it is it's pretty it's a pretty bad game honestly but i missed out on new world because of it i'm not sure if you guys have heard of fortnite it's coming back it really is yeah it it is it is someone will love that i'm super stoked about i can't wait to buy my ninja skin oh yeah you didn't get it yet get your uh did you get your rage shadow legends ninja skin yet you know i expected that me and ninja were good enough friends that he would send me a code in the mail but yeah he didn't get me didn't get to me on that one yet wow it really do be your own friends it really do be sometimes but but yeah i actually i feel like i really missed out on this go through with new world i enjoyed it a lot the last time around um but this time i'm actually very happy that they pushed it back not only because of the problems that the game clearly needs to fix but i feel like it kind of was too close to when the release actually would have been and it almost killed the hype like i wouldn't have wanted to watch the same starting experience over again as somebody who like watched asman stream for example like i feel like it would have been the same experience copyposted if it came out when it was supposed to come out so i feel like this is good for the game even if they're not able to fix everything do you guys think a month though is enough time to fix some of the problems that the game has oh it's too cool what were the big problems that it had like actually improved stability polish the game so we're not polished and bug like um give me a second i have a few books down here and i can probably try and explain exactly we're probably gonna start on chapter three part five okay and uh one of the issues is that the alligators that you fight at level 11 are the same exact alligators that you fight at level 60. there's no more variety uh it's just it's dog food it was the same with the dogs too right it's like all of the mob types are the same abilities all the way through the game and like sometimes they give them different skins which is like oh you fooled me that's good real cute but it's uh it's the same [ __ ] thing and so we're not good when i was playing they were like it was very like super basic have they at least cleaned that up like the questing was like literally go to this box and then go to this box so basically because the quests were going too fast whenever you did that they made it to where you have to go to this box but the box is in another zone so you have to run farther oh that's that's increasing the scope a little bit okay and then you have to run back because you get the box so my problem that it's not like a problem it's just like my experiences that i found watching new world was that i could not tell the difference between a level 20 guy and a level 60 guy especially in pve like in pve i would seriously watch like i watched a lot of joshua g because i auto host them and uh so i've just watched their pve experiences be just like hey five guys huddle around this dude and it was just all whack the [ __ ] this guy's just like stuck in between all these players i don't know i thought like the the grand scope of things seemed so short you know what i mean it seems just like wasn't a whole lot going on besides the pvp i uh the thing is unless you like hitting rocks and then hitting trees right-clicking rocks and right-clicking trees you're going to be in a pretty bad spot if you want to have like in-depth combat i think that there is going to be some nuances to like maybe wars there's going to be some nuances to duels etc but you're probably not going to see the same level of intricacies that you saw in like you know like wow pvp or um even in something like league of legends well it's definitely a different concept i mean the whole idea of action action combat is going to be completely different ball game but i like that person i actually really want mmos to push for full action combat in the future and kind of like leave the tab targeting stuff in the not in the past but you know not on every game i like how they have some abilities that you can basically like target onto an npc and then other ones that are action combat like i i like having a little bit of a mix of them but overall yeah i do really like the action combat as well because it does feel like way more dynamic but i do feel like the tab targeting is much more accessible to boomers which is what is that game that plays both um ayotte was a on uh ashes does both actually oh no [ __ ] oh yeah yeah that was their whole concept was they were gonna go kind of do a hybrid weren't they yeah yeah and you can do like one or another and you can toggle between the two just by hitting a key on the keyboard which is it's interesting i think i think it's really cool yeah it was guild wars 2 and i am guild wars 2 does that they do the the hybrid crafting and uh or not crafting sorry the hybrid of tab targeting and uh skill shots dude you played the [ __ ] out of guild wars 2. i remember like there was a few days where you were on like just all day playing that game yeah i went through like uh like an elder scrolls online slash guild wars 2 kind of uh fiesta and it was uh they were both super crazy fun but mostly pvp related you know i would i say like my ff experience was like almost all pbe related and the pvp was like just like a little bit of a bonus did you get super into eso as well yeah i i uh elder scrolls online has my favorite pvp i think really yeah that's just so it's a simple concept um you know it's kind of like the the concept of of new world which is why when i started playing it was right after eso kind of felt okay because it was like the idea is like swapping your weapons right it's all about weapon swapping to these do for different abilities blah blah blah and then weapon swapping do all my defensives and weapon swapping going back on offensive you know it's it's great i actually really like eso a lot and uh and look forward to playing it again you were the reason i got like stuck in an eso hole for a while actually like i i think it was around yeah it was around the time that we had you on all craft the first time if i remember correctly was when you were grinding asl and i started watching you play and i i couldn't stop playing for a while like it is a very cool game it's super different than any of the other mmos as well which is one of the reasons that i felt like i did like it so much and that that's kind of one of the things i wanted to talk to you about with final fantasy like how do you feel like it does stack up to other mmos and how do you compare that experience what's kept you playing the sco the grander scope seems bigger in ff which is like it seems to be the falling kind of like stone for me in mmos like if an mmo doesn't seem huge to me if it doesn't seem like there's a million things you can do it's just not it's just not going to really do it for me so it's like you'll always hit that that block but ff it seems like there's a million things to do the grand scope of things is really big there's people everywhere not to mention the bonus stuff that people complain about the pvp i i didn't find the pvp to be that unenjoyable it's actually pretty cool um and now it's not it's not wow pvp it's definitely different but it was fun i just i like the idea of like a million things to do i mean i got into fishing for like three straight days i saw the clip of you finding out about like there being fishing expeditions or whatever and then becoming like strangely excited about it and apparently you got a shark mount is that right dude i'm all about it like if you can get like cool mounts or something interesting if you're doing stuff like that i'm all about it so yeah i got the shark mount after like four days or five days of like trying to get it or grind it in and like yeah i [ __ ] hope so after all that time yeah and so did you uh how far did you get into the game i got to um just right when i got into heaven's ward i started kind of messing around with other stuff so i'm right now if i got into ff like logged in right now the first two steps would be beat the last two bosses and coils and then probably continue msq and heaven's ward yeah yeah you guys are you guys are pretty close to the same place um i and i think asman's been playing for what an extra like month or something so yeah you know smaller chunks of time though i think i've caught up to him like through a little bit of grind yeah you stream way more than i do and you don't have like a three-hour intro of watching youtube videos and then getting it that's what uh that's so funny that's what my friend would tell me uh he'd be like yeah but i'd be playing with judd he'd be like yeah asmus also has to do this huge intro and he gets stuck on youtube videos for hours before he starts playing i was like oh [ __ ] really unlocked by reddit yeah yeah dude honestly and uh the the things in ff community the community in ff is very uh refreshing honestly it's [ __ ] crazy i know that you guys did a lot of that setup obviously rich was you know you and your your friend booba um and it's it's crazy like things can even come together and do this stuff especially like your house party you go to your house party everyone's all dressed in gold everyone's all trading me gold stuff to get and gold i was like oh my god it was cool man it's super cool i think that's the one thing that like mmos really need is that super just like fun community etc and like to me that's one thing i really really enjoyed about playing final fantasy is seeing like things on the screen right like whenever you uh got added in to uh to taven's word you first got there and then everybody was there waiting for you and all that that's what in my opinion is like those are the moments you remember from like back and wow 10 or 15 years ago it's like those moments whenever everybody gets together and having a place where you can do that and a game where you can do that is i think a huge success metric for games and over the years i feel like a lot of mmos have kind of lost that sense of of just like social space yeah everything's like looking for groups looking for raids yeah right people people forgot why mmos were good and that's the reason that final fantasy i feel like the community does feel so refreshing because a bunch of people who just all of a sudden remembered why they used to have fun in mmos in the first place like it's not necessarily about just smashing the game getting through all the content people are down to just relax and hang out in those virtual spaces i always thought that player housing was a bad idea until i played final fantasy and i realized that that share space is actually something that all mmos should probably have but my idea of it growing up as a wow player was like you know stormwind ironforge these places where you didn't really have a choice but to go there it funneled everybody into the same area that's where the duels happen that's where all this stuff happened but when you get the like-minded people in the communities in the fcs are in the houses rather in the player housing it does feel really special and you know you have everybody with the same glamors you have everybody just standing there dancing and [ __ ] like that and it just feels like you're in a real world yeah it's definitely a trip man not to mention i mean i think the difficulty is there in this game for it being so old i expected because i watched a video where um asman compares after heats but after he beats bahamut to uh like hey we just did aq40 guys you know what i'm saying so when i so it's funny i took that line and like and like stuck that with me like okay i've done eq for you before i can do this [ __ ] but legitimately i thought coils was like aq aq40 times like three for me individually like you're a guy in a 40 man a warlock 15 years ago in aq40 and you're not doing nearly as much [ __ ] as a [ __ ] dragoon and an eight man on ff 13 years ago it was it's crazy i i was blown away by the mechanics that i had to do individually and i was like [ __ ] actually like jenga stacking myself with mechanics and that was gonna fall over at any moment yeah you were scared actually i'm not gonna lie you were scaring me a little bit i i i got a little bit nervous i i thought that uh i thought that i made you upset a few times my pet like it wasn't me it was my pet i don't know why he was attacking the feather i i mean i will get upset at vets without a doubt because like you know like judd'll be like oh dude we're getting rid of this group we're bringing in the carry group and then we'll get in the carry group and i'll watch somebody do some stupid [ __ ] i'll be like what what are you doing you're supposed to be good you know what i mean what's been carrying me what's going on yeah man i was just like yeah so it was the mechanics in that were uh it's very surprising because i like i said i expected aq 40ish but got i thought way way harder mechanics you know what i'm so crazy too uh sorry to cut you off asthma yeah just just one of the things and i'm starting to feel this a little bit more than you guys probably did because i i got a little bit further in the game because i don't really have any other anything else in my life at all besides final fantasy but uh when you get deeper into the game and you feel the progression of each job it's so different than wow like in wow i feel like classes more or less they had this idea and they tried to stick pretty close to it in every expansion and the feeling of final fantasy it's like okay you know what your rotation used to take you three minutes to get through we just added a whole subpart of your rotation which is going to add on to your job and now you have a six hour opener and she's like what the [ __ ] like it gets so metal and so crazy and it doesn't feel like too much because of how the game leads up to it so you're not overwhelmed by all the abilities at 80 versus 50 or like 70 wherever you're at i think that the only people who really get probably super overwhelmed is the the people who skip because they're also spending so much time trying to learn the rotation and also looking for the the heels so i feel like that complexity really throws those people off i mean yeah i feel that i can understand that completely it's a little bit okay i'll be honest like i picked dragoon because i told chat like i need the easiest class to play in this game i was like what's the easiest class and they said dragoon and then and then after i had made dragoon and been like maybe like i was like level 15 level 20 and someone was like oh bro when you get level 80 your dragoon opener's 21 buttons i was like what 21 button opener so i can understand your freaking uh your uh um your uh experience with a crazy openers if that's the easy class opener you know dude summoner you basically you open up with this ability that's on cooldown that puts all of your dots onto a target and deals damage instant cast ogcd you got all your dots up you start using your pet abilities like you weave in your pet abilities so you're not clipping with all of your stuff that's ogcd and you go into these different trances and summon these different pets and each one has its own rotation it just gets crazier and crazier and crazier and you just [ __ ] blurst and it's one of the coolest stock classes i've ever played i'm about to get bahamut right now and i i [ __ ] love it and then i went i played samurai a little bit which you were playing actually when we did t9 samurai it like collecting the stamps and all that [ __ ] just feels so good it reminds me of outlaw rogue but not the most idiotic spec that you've ever played one good thing is that the way that my class works is that there's a button that makes all my attacks crit and there's another button to where i can use my big button and then i can use the big button uh multiple times and then after i use the big button then i have to use a small button enough to where i can use the big button again big buttons on the small buttons lined up yeah and then i wait for the big cool down and then i use the big cool down with the big button and then i do huge damage and that's the way i play a warrior it's it's pretty [ __ ] good and then dark knight at level 50 is somehow even easier than that because there's no planning at all i just hit buttons off gcd whenever i want it's great this kind of like leads into what i like about this game more than something like world of warcraft i'm not gonna say more i'm gonna say it's different i'm gonna say it's easier to handle it's world of warcraft how many classes you have you have a decent amount of classes but are they really just one class no they're three [ __ ] classes right there's no there's an ff you have your class there's no spec tree the balancing is going to be easier there right like you're you're taking on such a toll being world of warcraft playing three classes in one and having to balance that not across just pve but pve and pvp if you look at that from like take a step back it seems impossible i don't understand how wow can possibly do it um because when you're looking at a game like ff which has kept it very simple like hey this is your class yeah it's gonna get crazy and get different but it's gonna be the same for all you guys up to this point you know what i'm saying and oh by the way all our pvp [ __ ] is not going to affect your pve [ __ ] all completely different balancing and that's like that's very different in my opinion i mean well not to mention tanks before i forget you mentioning asthma gold your tank like how you like to play your tank like oh man i like to [ __ ] destroy him with damage but when you're playing a tank in world of warcraft you're not doing [ __ ] nobody cares about your deeps you're not really doing damage you're not really you're there to hold aggro and only hold aggro but in this game even in pvp mind you you are a useful class to your group you need that tank dps in the pvp it's part of the it's that's another thing about ff is they have these the the set stuff right oh you only get uh you know four dps two healers two tanks right it's the same for pve you only get that specific setup in world of warcraft you can just completely like hey let's let's get this [ __ ] hunter out of here let's bring in another healer you know it's just seems very different i don't know what do you guys think i was upside down and it's really obvious when you play final fantasy like the complexity of wow it's like a fake complexity that you get overwhelmed with when you look at the game it's like hey here are the 30 systems that you need to be doing daily uh so you need to learn how your great vault works you need to learn all your dailies you're going to go through this level experience you need to make sure that you're doing this rep every single day and then on top of that here are all of your different specs and they look kind of complicated and here's your anima it's all the stuff that you have to look at and then once you realize that at the very top those systems aren't actually that deep so as you learn the game almost feels like easier and easier and all of the jobs or specs rather feel very homogenized like you're you're going to have a very similar rotation at the end of the day with a lot of them final fantasy it gets more and more complex in my opinion asmin feel free to disagree but i feel like final fantasy opens up and gets more complex and more varied in a good way uh i mean i'd say like the way that i've only really played two different tanks to level 50 okay so like what do i really know but it certainly does seem like it's much different especially in terms of like you've got ranged gameplay you've got caster gameplay you've got melee gameplay you've got tank gameplay and it does seem different and i do feel like tanking and final fantasy it is more interesting because your damage does matter way more than it does in warcraft like in warcraft for example like also you have two tanks and they're spread out across 25 or 20 members in the raid so just proportionally your damage isn't going to matter as much because you're just a smaller percentage of the raid but in final fantasy there's eight people it's the same as like back in challenge modes and misa pandaria summit i don't know if you did those back then but like tank damage mattered a lot back then and it's like the fewer people that you have the more individual responsibility you can require and i think also by tanking now if you've done like a battleground in like shadowlands or like in bfa tanks and bgs are absolute [ __ ] garbage all day not just pvp they knock you back they stun you they're just annoying right they're basically they're just kind of like running around being fodder yeah it's like basically a hunter pet that has three abilities at ccu that never [ __ ] dies it is the worst thing ever so yeah i mean i think that also like you're right that blizzard kind of set themselves up in a way to fail with how many different classes they have and how many different like levels of customization because i've said this before like with that with the game it's like how can you possibly balance the game whenever you have effectively 36 different classes that have 56 different options it's impossible like there's no way in it it's bonkers i thought coming over to ff it was going to be too simple i thought like you not having class like uh talent trees or any of that stuff was just gonna be like okay one plane is everybody else you know what i mean but yeah i mean it doesn't it i guess i never really uh cared too much while i was playing ff it just kind of felt like you're going into a raid and you're just you had to pump some damage um and it seems like there are people who don't know the rotations that well and and like and it's there's going to be a diversity in you know uh dps at later levels and stuff like that it's especially if there's openers are getting crazy like rich says you know yeah i mean i'm sure that's something over here it's actually two and a half days long just to get through but my friend played black mage and he boosted and i was like oh man i'm pretty sure that's not the play dude i think that's like one of the hardest classes i i everybody says that black mage is like one of the easiest classes to be passable on but like one of the hardest classes to actually min max but i haven't played it that much yet so i really don't know but they do like actual big dick damage so i i do want to try it um i i always like try like it it does feel like they're everything is balanced in a way where you can play whatever you want in a raid besides besides bard and but even like res mage or sorry red mage like it has its place right it's a utility damage dealer you bring it in and they just rez nonstop uh you look at summoner you know i can have instant cast rez's while i'm still doing a lot of damage i'm super mobile and seeing those niches for all of the different jobs is something that i really do like a whole bunch and i i like the way that the complexity layers upon itself but the other thing that i think is so interesting about the game you don't get punished for playing other jobs um you're kind of in a situation where because everything is on that one character the game's like yeah [ __ ] around explore do whatever you want and i you know asman's already picked up multiple jobs i've picked up multiple jobs you became i became a blue main you became a fish maine uh so the game really does let you experiment and wow it's a little bit more taxing on the alt side and i i think that that does take away from a lot of the enjoyment of exploring the entirety of the game and that's something that's upset me in wow for a while because even when i was playing wow i mean asthma knows this i would level everything up i i was always an alcoholic i always just wanted to try all the different things and just know what it felt like to play it and i felt overwhelmed frequently and in final fantasy i don't have that feeling of being overwhelmed by wanting to try things now i i'm not going to be the best at those jobs because i'm not focused on them the way that you were with fishing or asman is with um uh warrior and and dark knight but i get the experience and i get the enjoyment from it i got you on that it is it is much you know it's it's it's funny as i'm the opposite when i play world of warcraft i'm never about doing the alternate stuff in fact i i when i play world of warcraft my thought process is the game doesn't start until i get max level you know what i'm saying which was completely different when i played final fantasy it's like okay so i went and played 13 years old content like it was like like like it was today like it was no problem like you can do the no echo you can do the no item level what's the what is the world of warcraft like uh equivalent to that can you go back and do mc um and aq and kind of make it equivalent well you have time walking right and uh time walking is it's okay but the reality is that it's not rebalanced for people to like for example like back in rather lich king a lot of the aoe abilities that melee characters had were capped to a certain amount of targets and now i guess it is again but the cap is different and because it's so much different you're able to just do way more damage and the mechanics are easier to deal with because you're just dealing with a tool kit that's vastly different and vastly larger than what you originally had it's like you think about like playing a character back in ulduar in 2000 and what was it nine or 2008 and now it's just a completely different class so like are you saying that they don't have like a system where it kind of like reverts your character back to like uh like oh you only have this many abilities kind of like ff does they don't do that well they have it but they scale you down and you can use everything so basically they just reduce your overall number it is such a fundamental difference though in how the game is made like the the thing with wow is if you if time walking if you actually had the old rotation it would be a cool experience for some of the players who have gone through it before but the class design in final fantasy as somebody who's entering it now it does feel like it's more of a building on top of the foundation that was laid when wow every now and then it's like okay complete class overhaul so like if if i played a world uh a wide warlock for example a demonology wide warlock i would be going into metamorphosis and getting off like the four or five demon bolts that you could cast and now if i was playing a warlock you're like summoning a bunch of random pets and causing them to rush at your target the game has drastically drastically changed from the get go from like from from from expansion to expansion the the amount of change you get out of wow is immense right well it's patch to patch sometimes right because you'll have like some big change that changes the way that like your tier set works and they'll change to other things and then ultimately you have to play your class entirely differently yeah absolutely has that ever made you guys be like you'll [ __ ] this class we have to go re-roll something else it's worse than that i remember i was playing fury warrior in nighthold and it was one of the best iterations of fury warrior that blizzard has ever done and as i was playing it i would i would become depressed because i knew that it wouldn't last i'm like i knew that every single week that i played this class was one less week that i have to enjoy playing it and the way that it should have been for the past 15 [ __ ] years so you're like playing this class you're like man this is [ __ ] sick dude but i just know that it's too sick and i know that it's just not it's not going to last yeah exactly and it didn't either i was right when i ruined my own class i still regret that to this day i i was bragging about demonology warlock and i was like man it's so much fun right now you can cheese uh implosion it's the best feeling ever you just you're hate capped all the time i was talking about on all craft i woke up the next morning and i was nerfed and i had like legitimate death threats dude they thought you did everything like you couldn't keep your stupid mouth shut oh that's so funny man it was it's pretty bad but yeah i have that like those memories too where i go back and i'm like man i had so much fun in wod playing demonology warlock for exactly one month and i'll never get to do it again until wod classic comes out in probably four years because they honestly wad classic would be better than any other expansion they're going to be coming out with anytime soon so we'll we'll probably i like raffle illustrating wrestling uh after uh was was still an enjoyable experience that was probably the last like big enjoyable time for me in world warcraft was wrath i think i'm gonna be honest like i i had did you how did you feel about legion legion i don't think i've been oh you know what i played a hunter during legion a little bit um i enjoyed my hunter um but i didn't do anything but play arena you know what i'm saying like like i said world of warcraft was very it was very narrow for me like narrow-sided like get max level start doing battlegrounds do some arenas you know what i mean and then like anything that was pve related it was like i would jump in and just get massively [ __ ] carried you know what i mean so i didn't have to do anything i understand so it sucked it wasn't that fun but i like pvp i like arenas that's my [ __ ] you know what i mean i actually plan on uh pvping a butt load in uh in ff more so than probably your normal ff player so that's that's the plan yeah i'm actually really curious because like i've heard like going into final fantasy i think that a lot of the reasons why people give final fantasy pvp a bad like reputation is that apparently there are people that do like win trading or something like that and because of the win trading people think that the game sucks and i can see that it makes i've heard of it i haven't seen a win trade happen just yet but i'm also a very low level um and it's like so like the rating that like the top rating right now is like 800 900 raiders like that and after just like playing for like a few days i'm already at like 300 or something so it doesn't seem too crazy i imagine once you get up to like 6 700 you might start seeing some wind trading but i don't see how it helps what do you just lose less than you gain so it's like i have no idea honestly man like i have no clue that's just what i've heard and again like i'm repeating what i've heard so maybe i could be wrong too but that's the main criticism i've seen the big difference that i got out of the pvp is that it's like it's dumbed down it's a little bit easier so it's like you have all your combos well they put all these combos into two buttons like hey here's your single is your single target combo here's your aoe target combo and it's just like you'll just spam the one button so like so i had mine on e so i press e he'd do his one first combo then you press e again he'd do his next combo you pressing again he'd do his finishing combo right so that's how you do it in pvp but then they have all the oc og cds that's your uh the off globals that you're throwing in the mix so it's like i might hit him with an e and then toss another thing hit him with another e toss another thing and so it's like very bursty very bursty so you don't talk to each other in pvp you have these preset things you can say hello you can say target enemy so i had like a thing where or they have a thing where it's like they'll put a countdown on somebody and it'll start at five and it'll go down to four and you're what you're supposed to do is when somebody puts that countdown on somebody you're supposed to hard swap to that guy on the bottom countdown and then and then and then just plow him with damage and try to get the heal you know what i mean just basically it's like hard swapping targets is like the plan in in ff pvp but it was pretty fun man because you were just like you bang bang bang bang bang on a guy and then and then you guys would like low-key like set up a hard swap and then hard swap and then when you saw that guy just blow up and won like global it was pretty fun i'll be honest i might actually try it sounds i actually think that that sounds pretty good there's some cool transmogs in there and apparently there's exactly so i might have to make my way in there as well you know about the mounts dude as soon as you know even if it's pvp and there's a mount there you gotta you gotta look into it man like i've uh i've been looking into it there are some of the amounts though in final fantasy that are massive time investments there's like one where you have to do like 2 000 mentor roulettes 2000 so uh each one takes you like let's say 20 minutes or 15 minutes just do the math on that that is insane that's super so a lot of the stuff there's a lot of really grindy stuff but i'm looking forward to to some of the grinds like for you need that stuff yeah oh yeah i wouldn't if if there wasn't anything to grind for that can get you something that was cooler than what everyone else has are you really playing an mmo you know unfortunately nowadays yes [Laughter] you guys probably haven't really felt this yet but uh you know i i'm tearing through the story you know i've seen it i've been watching yeah like no stalling like just straight through the story and i'm starting to get that feeling where i don't know if you guys like uh read books or anything like that i i i used to read a lot uh and you get to the end of the book like you're getting close to the end of the book and you know it's going to be over and you're like real sad about it that's where i'm at right now like i'm starting to have that experience where it's like i don't want it to end i'm getting kind of scared really really yeah what level yeah um i think i'm 67 yeah i think yeah 67 and a half so when i get to 70 i get my whole bahama phase and what is that exactly so basically my pet turns into bahumat the the icon of of destruction and i make him shoot anks at people's faces i believe and i just do boosted damage in my uh you know what i don't [ __ ] know what i'm doing but yeah i get a dragon i get a dragon and i'm going to learn how to use him i i i ank mourn that's all i know i ank mourn and then at the end at the end you just shoot a giant laser beam and then it's over i uh whenever i get higher level i get a new ability that does a lot of damage and that's going to be cool because right now i just have an ability it does a good a lot it does some damage but then i'm gonna get one that does way more how you guys liking your rotations right now you guys pretty pretty stoked with your rotations you scared to get i'm always the guy who's scared to get new [ __ ] in his rotation you know what i'm saying like oh [ __ ] dude i gotta fig i gotta figure out where to put this one and i i just got one that pumps up my abilities that i now have to put in two different spots in my single rotation and it's like [ __ ] man i know i'm gonna get more of those too you should try blue mage i i think it's a really good job to maine um i i've been playing a lot of it right now i i summon i actually think that with how you play the game blue mage should be really solid for you right really yes you told me i see the whole chat omega lola dude no why would i do that i mean we we've known each other that long why would i [ __ ] with you i'm telling you i'm telling you i think that blue mage be really good for you it's uh you will get a lot of new abilities but you have like a lot of control over how you want to go about the fight and i think someone with your level of gaming expertise like i've been watching you for a long time like you're a god gamer man i think blue mage should be something that really fits that level of skill that you have and you can really you can think out the fights and how you want to go about doing it interesting okay i actually made a machinist uh recently and it's like level 34. uh ah almost underwhelming i'll be honest they're kind of weird it's almost like so when you when your guy shoots the attack doesn't hit right away it's almost like you have to wait for the delayed like hit it's kind of weird oh the travel time yeah it's like you're like almost like waiting for the bullet travel to like hit him i guess that's yeah it was okay it's got weird concepts already even at the the low level with off global so i'm probably just gonna get away from it to be fair but what i like about it is that not a lot of people play it i my problem is with what we're with uh now we're with the mmos and generals i always want to play the class that nobody plays you know everybody wants to do that eventually so it's like i hate the fact that i'm playing dragoon and samurai the [ __ ] two one of the two most played classes in the game everywhere you go you'll [ __ ] see a guy oh yeah sword on someone's side or a [ __ ] spear on someone's back and nothing else so that was the reason i looked up the jobs that were like non-existent on people playing him and machinist was like [ __ ] bonded with the barrel sitting down there by himself so i might still give it a gander to be honest i like playing a rotation that's simple i i think rotations are simple are great because that gives me more time to read chat that gives me more time to just uh you know watch the raid and see what's happening like for me i want to have the biggest dumbest rotation that i can possibly have so i can complain about everybody else not doing their complex ones quite quite good enough i agree with that i felt the big difference when i i went from dragoon to samurai mid coils and uh it was a very clear difference on how much i needed to focus on my rotation and and that would take away from how much i could focus on everything else i was dying to dump [ __ ] you know what i mean yeah nah you weren't dying to dumb [ __ ] those were [ __ ] mechanics man dude that fight that me and rich got through together that's like a bonding moment dude that [ __ ] fight tier 9 oh you [ __ ] up the obelisk that's right i remember that oh oh yeah yeah the first time it came down well okay so someone and i went and completely completely no knowledge on the fight i don't want to say that anymore dude we're on twitch geez louise no uh we went in completely lacking knowledge of all the mechanics and uh we could you could say we had a pretty [ __ ] good group i mean we had a bunch of people who had a couple world first healers i think i was giving judge [ __ ] about that deals like man you had to get the world first [ __ ] you couldn't get thirds force nothing you had to get the first in our group huh making us look bad oh my god bro i have this guy so i have like a set few people that will come into my groups yeah just and we always have the same aspects i have one guy his name is charles johnson he [ __ ] knows everything but he won't tell us [ __ ] until we die a certain amount of times and then he'll start giving us some mechanics right and every time i see him mess up i get so happy i call him out on it it makes everybody realize that just cause you're good doesn't mean you can't [ __ ] up it happens all the time rich i swear those healers were messing up bro i swear they were they were they were pulling us across the map so we didn't get murdered that was different listen that guy listen that guy has okay let me explain that to you right let me explain this to you right one when you're a melee guy on this [ __ ] guy he's glowing blue as me he's glowing blue all right and you're supposed to look for this stupid [ __ ] blue dot that pops on your head which sometimes you can't see because the guy is [ __ ] glowing blue right okay and then you just have this healer in the back who's he's not having to move he's just sitting on the spot and when people get the blue thing he's pulling them and and rich is acting like he's carrying us for this reason like rich it's not that big of a deal is what i'm saying all right he has he would have played so many times today no that's part of his job though rich is part of his job why else do the healers get pulls huh do you think it's only if you make them feel badass and see what you've got it's true yeah it's like up to a joke as far as i'm concerned i was two seconds from telling that healer that he has to pull me and i'm not moving if i get it okay that's his job you gotta let him know we gotta set some standards abso [ __ ] lutely i mean because you don't want them just running around i mean these are world first heroes they should be able to do that easy on that yeah shouldn't even have to tell him that on the ones he didn't pull me i should be an angry rich you know absolutely i'll never [ __ ] forget one time i dropped the meteor in a bad spot i mean i moved a little bit too slow and i like quickly got back to the group so no one noticed and i just hear somebody go what the [ __ ] what that means unmuted i was like um it was me bro so there was a there was actually a few times where rich had to come clean on me yelling at somebody and rich was like listen i think that was my pet that was actually hitting that guy over there oh my god i started taking it honestly honestly i just didn't want anyone i didn't want anyone to leave in the group i started taking credit for everything it was like why are we getting heels i was like yeah i think it was me bro you just imagine like this one thing you're just you're not supposed to hit it but it just so happens to be stacked on the thing you're supposed to be hitting and i'd have to be yelling to the raid like please stop using your aoes please just use your single target only please and i i can't tell you how many times that happened and then one time it was just rich's stupid [ __ ] pet over there by himself just smacking the wrong the out of all the things to be hitting the absolute wrong guy it was part of that in your two day rotation is the uh is hitting the wrong target rich so actually so actually what happened i didn't realize that one of my edges cleaved on my back like i was totally wrong but to be fair i had a dentist appointment that night that i was very stressed about yeah i cancelled the dentist appointment at 3am uh i didn't go i still haven't gone to the dentist actually dude but like can you imagine that yo guys listen we're gonna get this [ __ ] down it's one o'clock in the morning and rich is like guys i got a dent at this point we're real soon like what it's two in the morning what do you mean you got a dentist appointment new york city baby yeah guys oh my god it was a it was an experience honestly hardest boss in that place by far in fact you know what's funny is we beat the boss without even understanding fully the one of the mechanics we just got lucky because i couldn't figure out this mechanic to save my life so dragon green crosshair goes on the guy he has to go put it somewhere up north on the left side or the right side of one dragon then arrows pop above three of us and dragons just [ __ ] on you into the walls and you die to the point where you can't even get mass rest so i can't tell you how many times we would be perfect on the fight and these dragons would crap on us and i'd be yelling at the leader like what the [ __ ] do we do on this i don't understand it was probably like 10 or 20. oh wait which one was it was it twin tonya no it's not a 2010 it was uh it was a girl who floated with wings with armor and then they would we would drop to the bottom on the second phase and then you'd have to watch out for the big building dropping the cathedral drop right that could push you to the walls um and then eventually in that part it was like you have to watch for your debuffs you make sure you're not electrocuting the whole group um and then she'd have to step out of the group every once in a while you got that debuff but then when it got to the part where it would shoot dragons at you and it would knock us all into walls we would just not we would just completely white we would not be able to get that part i cannot tell you how many times yeah that dragon mechanic it's a bad dragon mechanic it really is uh yeah so basically you get a marker on you i don't think you dealt with this mechanic asman because of tank pov i uh so i i the way that the fight worked for me is that there was a debuff that would occur and the boss would cast an ability and i would have to use a cooldown for the ability and then we'd go in to the other phase and then we kill the ad and then uh yep you'd kill the ad he'd give you a purple and a red chain and if you got a purple chain you'd have to go you'd have to oh this is you're a tank so you probably don't have to worry about that the then the ad would legit put two uh debuffs on you a purple chain and a red chain if you got a purple chain it was bad you had to go take it off in one of his like he would put the ad would die and have three white circles around him you'd have to go rinse it off with that and if you got the red chain on you the red chain was used because you would eventually take a fireball and you would have to stack the fireball on the people that got the ice attack on them because they would get an ice debuff and if you got two iced tea buffs you died dude that fight was so [ __ ] wild man dude dude at one point during the fight without explaining anything else about the mechanic just starts telling me he just keeps going and he keeps going uh red means no pink means go red means hate because the chain that comes out is orange like it puts the the actual spell effect is orange and i'm like my colors are [ __ ] up okay no no no no no you're right about the debuff color but you kept saying chain and look the chain that goes out yeah and i say what about the orange chain and you go rich are you [ __ ] trolling me and i was like oh my [ __ ] god bro it's like every [ __ ] 15 seconds we'd we we'd get a mechanic we'd spend 15 seconds on that mechanic and then there'd be a new mechanic and i was losing my [ __ ] mind i couldn't i couldn't believe it man as a tank dude we just pretty much killed it until it was dead and then in the last phase uh she did this one attack that i had to watch out whenever she did it because i use a you need to use a cool down and uh then sometimes this like blue thing would happen and i would die but that was pretty much about the same time we needed to do the tank swap anyway so because tank damage doesn't matter that much i just i just die and then they rest me up again other tank picks it up and it kind of works out right i mean it's actually i i you could say i even died to the mechanic on accident on purpose and uh because that was because that's what you've been doing you're like hey man i got this [ __ ] down yeah yeah you're gonna get pressed and we're back one time we almost got it down and then summoned used lb the melee op3 and everybody died yeah yeah yeah i was thinking we were gucci and i was like [ __ ] i'm i'll be three in this guy i was like we're good right now and i i was like i'm never doing that again somebody dropped the lightning in the middle of the room dude the amount i cannot tell you asmin how many times i electrocuted the whole group to get us killed i can't i'd be like i'd stare down my debuff stare at my debuff staring at me standing by diva something else would happen something else would happen and then as as soon as i took my eyes off the debuff a five second counter debuff would go off and i'd [ __ ] wipe the raid and i did that probably 10 or 15 times that is crazy because um i have no idea about any of that stuff because i was a tank like i'm hearing about like so apparently there's dragons in the last part of the fight mm-hmm that's nuts because like literal dragons four dragons on the outside of the arena oh my god so bait it's pretty simple wow you basically look and if you see one dragon you want to go in between 10 and 12 p.m if there are two dragons you you shift you shift the time on the watch by approximately two hours when you see three dragons you go into the next time quadrant and if you see four rich is actually right i know i know i [ __ ] can't stand it they were like just run clockwise and i was like what the [ __ ] do you mean close just run clockwise and then rich was like yo when you see the dragons on the outside doing this you have to drop it here and i'm like i can i'm just trying to keep track of the [ __ ] in the arena not the [ __ ] dragons outside the arena how how am i supposed to watch those guys you know what i mean the best part the best part the dumbest thing i did and i did a lot of dumb things that night i finally get the dragon mechanic and i'm trying to do everything the right way with the dive bombs and get in the right position drop it in the right place and i didn't know you could walk through the wall and i just walked through the wall and died i didn't know exactly where to go they just walked right through them i don't want anybody to think that being a tank isn't hard because there was one mechanic and whenever she did that mechanic there was a three second cool it was a three second counter pass time on it and whenever she used a mechanic i had to hit two buttons at the same time at the same time i mean like if it's not at the same time it's not that big of a deal right because he or she could just heal me more but like other than that yeah that's that's that's pretty much what i had to do too and i have to worry about that right i feel like you guys as tanks like a big worry is like you guys having a defensive cooldown on certain abilities that bosses do without a doubt oh and and you have to keep track of stacks on the other tank so that you can properly swap oh it's different i mean like yeah yeah yeah that is true and there's a lot that you have to know as a tank and yeah no knowing about that and uh what was the other thing you said uh knowing the stacks on your other tank yeah absolutely and like not being not positioning yourself to to cleave and [ __ ] like that on the on the group and stuff sometimes also i mean i didn't want to play tank for the simple reason that uh i knew there would be mechanics about tanking that i would just have to learn and not understand for a while uh-huh yeah if you want to make something angry just it is crazy though that you legit as tanks don't have to like you legit are fighting a different fight than us kind of like you have your own [ __ ] to worry about and then we have our own [ __ ] to worry about legitimately i don't know half of your [ __ ] and legitimately you don't know half of our [ __ ] you know what i'm saying i feel like i don't know any of this [ __ ] i mean i mean it's been a time since you [ __ ] fought t9 though you know what i mean it's been oh if i had i have to say like the ramuah fight so did you do ramua yet with like the electric [ __ ] yeah that was actually like there was a lot of mechanics i had to do as a tank like i was so stressed out yeah he chills with all the he chills with the latest people i have not done remove on extreme yet i've skipped leviathan i skipped mog the mog dude and i skipped ramu for extremes for now um and i plan on going back to him i wanted to finish mohammed first he's the papa smurf of the game yeah yeah he was actually like a good fight as a tank right there's a lot of things that i had to do and my chat it's really funny i don't know if your chat did the same thing but whenever i was doing the uh the mongol mug everybody in chat had a different way for me to do the fight because i was doing the fight wrong in their eyes but it actually turned out that every single way that they were telling me to do the fight was wrong really like yeah every single way like i looked at chat and they were spamming to like kill them in a different order or i had to use this or that like i actually feel like streaming the fight made it harder i actually i didn't experience it for that reason yeah i actually didn't stream coils for that reason because uh it was just like i was getting mentored so hard and i didn't plan on doing it and then summit uh when someone got to heaven's word we ended up like randomly doing it together and i had so much [ __ ] fun and i wasn't getting mentored because we were both playing so bad that people didn't even want to help us so i mean it was like you were learning 15 seconds of a fight at a time you know what i mean this is like hey dude we just got through this mechanic [ __ ] yeah bro let's go dps for 10 seconds new mechanic we all died it felt so good when it came together it's actually it was like one of those moments um it was worth not going to the dentist appointment you know and i haven't had moments like that in gaming in like a really long time like that's that was like back in the day the type of memory where you would go to school tired the next day and you fall asleep in the class and you just be like i'm a [ __ ] king and this is how a king sleeps dude that was a great fight honestly there's not a much better bonding fight than that that one's a killer and not to mention dude i can't explain you to the whole mentoring thing it's like even when a fight is not my fault i will have to jump through hoops uh and make leaps and bounds to just explain to my chat that guys that wasn't my fault right there because they almost want to blame everything on me if someone else [ __ ] up it's like they want to look for a way that i could have changed that and and fixed it you know i mean you're invited on this you invited him yeah that's the same thing happens to me it's like if i survive a mechanic because i use a cooldown god healers man those healers are so good if like the other tank taunts off of me he's like man that other tank is so good like as soon as you die oh bro you didn't hit your cooldown what are you doing exactly i know it all too well i'm very used to it at this point i feel like all of the people because like i have like regular same as you do i have like regular people that i play with in final fantasy i feel like my chat likes them better than me it's like those people can never do anything wrong like it doesn't matter what happens even if they do something wrong it's because i was putting pressure on them to perform and they couldn't play under the pressure that i was putting it's not my fault my tank that i use is my buddy right so we're doing everything with him as main tank to make everything harder for us and every time something goes wrong with the tank chat will immediately blame him and legitimately 50 of the time he will have to tell them chat that wasn't even me that was the other tank but they will always always default to blaming him it's hilarious poor judgment that sucks that does suck but yeah i mean that's those are in my opinion those are the best memories man it's like i can guarantee you probably a year from now you guys will still remember doing coils tier nine right you guys are still gonna [ __ ] remember that because it's just fun it's memorable and like having those experiences i think is what really makes mmos special and i think that's one thing that final fantasy really does have because if you experience like i mean obviously you've played a lot of other mmos how did you how did you feel about the community in the game like the final fantasy community people unmatched unmatched yeah um i didn't i've never seen that many people running around before uh everywhere like you'd be flying mounting over bro just looking i'd just be like flying mountain over at land just looking down just seeing how many people i can see randomly just doing whatever yeah and you would just be there oh there's a dude they're fine guys oh my god look there's a dude there there's three guys here doing a fate you know what i mean it's just like it's crazy i think it's crazy it's very lifelike oh yeah it feels like you're actually part of a world like and there's this one area one of the cities and like you'll just go around and you'll just go to like some random corner and there'll be three cat girls richie's got them all in his arms yeah i know the spot i know spot yeah yeah i know that exact location oh well the best thing about it is there's not just one there's so many of them and like there's sometimes i'll just randomly see two or three people just sitting over there in some little corner with taking their character's clothes off and it's like oh my god this is what mmos are all supposed to be about when you go into uh you go to ulda and it's just like all those guys dancing in the same way out in front of the uh yeah one two sometimes more people just sitting there doing the same exact dance in the same way it's just funny not to mention i mean they do a lot of community they're i'm not gonna say a lot but i like community like things you know what i'm saying and i thought ways that the community come together uh and especially let me say this especially when it comes to a streamer because not everybody is capable of um of hiding things from the streamer when you have such a collective number of people right but the ff community did a damn good job hiding things like uh for me for instance and i think it was the same for you what was the the west wind pass or something like that they gave me a full breakdown a full thing to read on exactly how to do this fight and then you get in the fight and you just [ __ ] bang them out in one second you know what i'm saying i actually died on that fight twice supposed to be easy because the fireball on the strap book it says that when a fireball happens you guys have to soak the damage or you guys will wipe so when a big a we went down i was like i'm not supposed to step out of this i'm just gonna soak it it's probably the fireball no no no no no so yeah i thought the community coming together and trolling you about that is hilarious because it's legit videos and compilations of people being told by that uh streamers i think it's hilarious so that's just one of the community aspects uh that i was bringing up and uh yeah and rich with the other one where when you go into heaven's ward everybody stacks up it's a big congratulations that's big that's a big thing too i don't know if they do that for like friends and stuff like that or if it's just for streamers but super crazy it's been it's been really cool and there are just so many people in the community like obviously booba's done so much that they enjoy like tonight during the all craft after show in the fc there's going to be a full concert and a full show that's already set up that's already set up by bubba yeah booba set up like the entire thing i don't know if you saw it too like they put on a play yeah they put on a play the other night they they fully acted out pokemon for example and yeah and it's just so [ __ ] cool the stuff that people can do where do you see this in any other game you know the game gives you the tools to just have fun have you ever seen gremlo breakdance you haven't lived until you saw gremlo go like oh man i [ __ ] love that [ __ ] i like every night i i usually end stream with a [ __ ] conga line i've been to some weddings already like i [ __ ] i [ __ ] i [ __ ] love this game like i i genuinely do and the thing is is when you look at games like world of warcraft for example and you look at final fantasy they don't need to be the same right world of warcraft can come back one day honestly if world of warcraft was owned by anyone besides activision blizzard i very much believe the game could come back one day and be fantastic but you have to be looking at final fantasy and say okay these are the things that make the world alive these are tools that an mmo needs to give to this play race yeah this is the uh the show that they put on is absolutely incredible i i was taking screenshots the whole time yeah this is ridiculous oh my god oh my god it's gary's eevee up against ash's pikachu booboo look it's a trip man the cosmetics they have the ways that you can change cosmetics ways you can change jobs it's very cool um yeah like you said the world of warcraft can come back at any time given good direction um which is kind of like my thought i kind of want to ask you guys about that yeah um where do you think like okay so we see games that are like runescape runescape went back and did classic plus right which is something that world of warcraft decided not to do classic into tbc is what they decided to do but what do they do once they get to a point where it's just catching up to normal wow again what if it's you get into the point where you're in you're in mists of pandaria and there's no longer a pat or an expansion that you want to play anymore because it was a bad one are you now just playing a temporary character it's like is your classic character just a temporary character you know is what i'm asking you the problem it's a hard question man like i really don't know in my opinion i don't think that what what wow really needs more than anything is they need effectively a realm reborn they need a nuclear like option it deletes everything man because like there's so much bloat in there couldn't they have done that though here's the thing if they would have just done like wow classic plus or something right or yeah they still can't can't they do tbc plus and like continue in a direction that it was different than where they went asking for wow too or wow reborn any of that stuff it doesn't fix the problem because at the end of the day when you look at a realm reborn what was yoshi p talking about the entire time he wasn't talking about how they were going to make money he was saying we need to get the trust back of our player base we [ __ ] up and money's not what's important right now the legacy of final fantasy is what's important when you listen to jagex actually talk about what they wanted to do and the experience that they wanted to recapture with old school marine corps it was about that experience that was what they were after when you look at world of warcraft right now the people that would be remaking world of warcraft are the same people who are under the pressure that has caused the game to get to where it's currently at and the reason the game is going to continue to be [ __ ] and it's not going to be saved isn't because it's beyond saving it's because they make way too much money off of making a steaming pile of dog [ __ ] and they are incentivized to push out more crap rather than a polished product wow just has okay yes i was okay okay they can't do it again listen the thing is the thing is with the game right now and the big problem with the game is when you look at it if they could release an expansion every single year with no content at all they would make more money because it's [ __ ] world of warcraft it's the same as call of duty and any of these big franchises you buy it and 60 off of each of those players getting 60 off of each of those players is more money than when the game was good and they they figured out this great way to lock people in for six months of fake metrics by giving them a stupid dog [ __ ] mount and and having them prepay for six months they will just keep scaling up the amount of expansions that they push out they don't need to make them good they just need to make them and people will come and they will examinate the entire legacy that that blizzard had created over all these years well i think they're doing that already to be fair wait are you saying that you think world of warcraft is in a current like a realm reborn 1.0 state yeah i think it's very different i think that they made they made mistakes in a realm reborn with a group of very good game designers that were trying to create an experience and they didn't fully understand what they were trying to create they went back to the drawing board and they built up a good game over time and uh i think that yoshi p is one of the most intelligent people to work on a project and he had a vision a vision that was backed up by other five heads and wow right now is a very established brand look there are people who will go to gucci and they'll buy anything in the store even though it's ugly as [ __ ] they come out looking like hassan after after uh uh man that sounds terrible i take it back hassan you're a handsome guy what i find about world warcraft is it seems like it's always got some new concept of overwhelming uh annoyances like oh you got the what is that i came back one one uh year for it and it was like you didn't even get weapons anymore you only had this one [ __ ] weapon you had to upgrade over and over and over again but then it's like you do that and then they obsolete it don't they it's like why the [ __ ] did i just waste my time doing that if you're leading it into the next patch so i imagine there's a lot of things that happen like that how many rep grinds have there been or something along those lines that had been watered down after you had put in the time is there moments like that and wow that happen often or is that just sometimes uh no it happens about every six months uh you spend six months grinding for something and then blizzard makes useless and then new patch comes out and then you have to do it again so is there something like that in ff like think about like what has gone completely like that they've just forgotten about it like they moved i'm sure i'm sure there's some things absolutely yeah i'm sure there might be some things like here and there like relic grinds i think is probably like an example where you don't really need to get your realm or born relic or something like that anymore and like it's kind of a pain in the ass and i'm sure there's other stuff too but overall i mean it doesn't have the same level of i think one thing with final fantasy that makes it a better experience for players like versus wow in terms of character development is that you can literally just go and level another class without having to do all the secondary [ __ ] because i think that's one of the worst things that wow has to deal with right now is the fact that you don't just have to do this like busy work like kind of going through all the quest lines and everything like that which i would arguably say is okay and that's fine to do once in many cases but the problem is whenever you ask somebody to do it twice and three times for each character that's whenever you lose people and i think that's what the big problem is also like the experience like you feel like you're getting something when you level a job even if you don't play it because some of the quests are legitimately cool and you if you really get into the story you know uh sometimes you find out that you're your favorite uh cat girl has a sister and then you're like wow i [ __ ] love this game even more and i wouldn't have known this if i didn't level this job right and uh i i leveled i leveled astrologian and the whole time i was just like making yu-gi-oh references having a blast i'm not gonna [ __ ] heal like what do i look like i'm not gonna [ __ ] heal like name one time ever that i would pay 15 a month to let another player dps like i'm just not gonna [ __ ] do it but i'm gonna level that all the way through and i'm gonna make jokes about joey and seto kaiba and the millennium puzzle and i'm gonna enjoy that story and i'm gonna have a good time doing it and you don't really get that with wow and the few times that you did it was good like there were moments in legion where you enjoyed leveling a class and getting rewards that you would never [ __ ] use because of the achievement and the experience you know i'll never forget this is like a bad memory that's a good memory uh i didn't get the asthma probably remembers this uh when we were doing mage tower i lost yeah i didn't get it was it was uh it was the tank paladin um i forget what it's even called uh what's up it's called the asthma in smash asthma and smash well i didn't get mine because actually was it whole what whatever i didn't get one of the paladins no you it's holy paladin trust me i got it right why didn't you get it because my internet went out i was in ohio i was working for blizzard at the time i was in ohio casting world of warcraft and my internet went down and i had left it to the last moment and i i didn't get it and i just genuinely will never have that in the game but i remember how much i cared i remember crying next to the router i remember how much hair i had at the time yeah i had a lot of hair back then and i was i think i was taller than you back then too damn so that's a bad experience for you but a good experience and a sense of like what that that there was something so high to achieve that you were going for because i cared i remember about the game and i remember what it felt like and i remembered what it was like to call asman and [ __ ] about it all [ __ ] nights he was like yeah dude sometimes you get it sometimes yeah [Music] i'll remember that night cause i walked around i walked around in the circle and then we started talking about some hood [ __ ] that that night is one of the best nights that i'll ever have in the friendship between me and asman and i i'll i'll never i'll never forget that night and that happened because of world of warcraft gotcha those moments you think are going to happen a lot on ff they've already started to happen which is cool like the game does set up a lot of moments like that and at world of warcraft world of warcraft could do that again i just think they won't because let's be honest if uh there are a lot of people on twitch even in that situ this situation right now you know you offer them you offer them a shitload of money to uh to gamble for example it's hard to say no greed is the thing that's always gonna it's not even greed it's just it seems like a an easy decision to make when you're there good morning and you know what sometimes you'll leave you you potentially hurt your legacy you potentially go against your morals but at the end of the day you got the bag and you maybe put your kids through college and you know maybe you can buy buy uh buy more hair or something i don't know what people want integrity doesn't pay the bills over there boys and entertainment and if uh it seems that's the case in many ways now they're cashing right now i mean they're cashing on world of warcraft there is a term for this in terms of that kind of a game it's called a managed decline and i think that's kind of the way the blizzard treats wow because they don't really try to innovate on the game they don't really try to do anything that's like groundbreaking with the game and i actually think that these other mmos will give wow more inspiration and give blizzard and activision like the leadership there the idea that actually mmos aren't dead it's just that the development team sucks and if you like there's so many people that are excited for games like new world uh for ashes of creation and now especially for final fantasy there's no reason that these games can't continue growing and also wow can't follow soon there's really no reason for it i i also will say yes the final fantasy community is incredible but a lot of that community is also just the mmo community like the mmo community has so much strength to it and there is a real chance that if another game came out that was also good that the positive parts of those community uh could enter i think one of the things that's hard about a game though um the final fantasy community build up slowly over time and now it has a big it's having a bigger boom after the bones and the the ways that you actually speak to other people has already been established you know like the kind of like the the level of respect you have like right when you're bowling i think you let the person on the right etiquette that's what it's called uh the etiquette already exists in the game when you start a new game like when you enter new world everybody's instantly there so there isn't any etiquette that's set up so you can just go in and just be like yo [ __ ] you not [ __ ] mention they have voice comms too right so seriously the first thing i did was walk up to somebody and be like hey do you see these new bofa talent trees they're really crazy and the dude was like what are you talking about i was like both of these nuts [ __ ] and i ran off and i was like i was like i'm the problem like i'm an eight-year-old and i shouldn't be allowed to be on the internet no i'll be honest like any time that i see somebody playing xbox live at their house i will take the mic away from them and i will yell at whoever they're playing with like it doesn't matter like i will channel my inter my inner halo 2 toxic 14 year old and i will just start yelling at him and blowing into the mic yeah that sounds fun honestly it was for years so yeah i do think that like yeah final fantasy they do have a uh they do a little bit more clamps down on the uh the more uh you know uh colorful elements of the community absolutely but i think also you have a number of people who like in general it's like whenever you have an mmo and whenever you have content that requires like certain degrees of like communication and having people that voluntarily play with you you create those social expectations that people are not going to be complete [ __ ] because if they are then nobody's going to play with them and i do feel like that's a a huge element of the game and it does create a uh it creates a socialization because you just can't act a certain way i mean them getting their their community all up and running before uh the wild refugee camp came over it's pretty crazy because i think it's mind-boggling to people how it was how the world is set up you know i mean how people react to certain things and uh yeah it's a trip man i don't really know so explain it besides it's a final fantasy it's quite a [ __ ] trip uh to see the world as it is i've had a lot of fun playing the game like i actually like for me the main thing that i look forward to is doing like some of the really really hard raids like that's what i really really want to do because that's the stuff that i always told myself like oh there's no way it's that hard there's no way it's that hard and like i want to get there and i want to see it for myself i want to do it i want to do [ __ ] that is hard for people i'll be honest i want to get to the content that not everybody you talk to is like oh yeah i've done that i want people to be like oh [ __ ] you did that i heard you exactly that's just kind of cool to me everybody and their mom has done coils now i don't know if they've done coils on no echo i've been on my level but everybody i'm mentoring me is knows everything about the fights you know what i'm saying yeah so it'd be nice to get the fights where people were a little bit less informed i guess you know i mean yeah it's like everybody's going in there and like experiencing it yeah i mean like like when you when you do t you just it's just forward and back and then forward and back and then forward and back and then forward and back again like you'll you'll get a hang of it yeah yeah you'll get a hang of it um so i i think that one of the cool things about some of the later fights is they stay like the same level of complexity or gaining complexity but you can actually tell how much they learned from the earlier fights like how clean it is i'm not gonna spoil anything but i recently did a trial in um what expansion am i in uh stormblood uh and i i did i did a trial and while i was doing the trial it was it was the story version of the trial but i think was easier than some of the other trials but the mechanics just instantly made so much sense there were so many badass moments and you just look at it and you're like wow they fight like i was just rejoicing i just was like i cannot stop rejoicing when i see how much they have learned and how clean their their combat design is because the encounter design of world of warcraft was never really the problem right but to see what they've been able to accomplish in final fantasy yeah i just i can't stop rejoicing i'm happy to see it you all going to play end walker i know rich is so how do you feel about it wait what is end walker is that that's the new expansion that's coming out after shadow bringer yeah yeah it's a new braille i got to catch up then brother i'll be honest with you if i can catch up i don't see why i wouldn't be able to catch up i would definitely be down to play because it'd be cool to play like new content with people um like i said dude when it comes to mmos i'm just all about getting [ __ ] that's hard to get that's rare i love rarities and mmos if they don't have them i'm not about it that's why like like uh i feel like um new world wasn't that intriguing to me because it didn't seem like any of the stuff that the people were getting were like rare or cool oh we got this weapon oh it's really strong oh it's blue you know what i mean it's like i'm not i want that like [ __ ] ash condi feel dude when i'm fighting a boss like oh dude can this guy drop this [ __ ] weapon dude i want it you know that's the type of feeling i like in mmos you know when i see a guy walking around with ash condy like my [ __ ] you know i i become hard as rock immediately watching looking at him i'm gonna be honest there's a lot there's a lot that new world needs to improve on there's some real horse [ __ ] that the game has and like for example we went and we did all of the like high-level expeditions which are the dungeons in there they felt okay there were a few bosses that genuinely felt okay however the mechanics were um okay so this is the last sloppy this is the last boss in lazarus and he does an i-beam and he also like moves his hands around and you're supposed to avoid the hands however because the dps check on the fight is so tight what you really want to do is you want to take the entire raid and position them all in the middle of the room standing auto attacking the boss over and over and over in a circle and then yeah just basically in a big pile and then the dps is just gonna burn down the boss and then finally uh you know you have to you have to do there's one mechanic you do have to do that's not true it's one mechanic but you only have to do it twice and then it's over and then you just pretty much continue attacking the boss until it's over and number super basic level pve and then there's another boss that there's a uh there's an orb you have to bring the boss to the orb and then after you bring the boss to the orb uh it's pretty much over and then she does a purple circle that you have to move out of but then sometimes whenever you don't move out of it it hits you anyway i'll be honest new world is like there are some games that might be fun but they're bad to watch right and new world does really seem like one of them right now like asthma is just like dude watch this dude he just stuck in the hatchet the whole [ __ ] hits all he does i just watch him chuck the hatchet over and over again so yeah yeah look at that i was watching a stream where a guy like gets like just one auto attack killing a guy and he was talking about how [ __ ] how like uh how good it felt he's like oh that was so satisfying what what oh dude i was watching the end of asthma toast while he was playing or i was watching the end of asmus stream rather when he was playing new world and i was like i couldn't do it i was like you know what i'd rather not get the host today i'm going to wait for him to play final fantasy like honestly new world i had a lot of fun playing it i had a lot of [ __ ] fun playing it yeah but the like watching it i understand why people have a negative perception of it well my thought process is this are you having fun playing it because it is new and everyone literally is in [ __ ] around mode while they're playing it would you really enjoy playing it three months down the line after the new like [ __ ] around things are like just settled down and everybody's actually settled into the real mmo aspect of it because i feel like when i was watching it it was a lot of people just [ __ ] around you know because it's a beta or because there's not a lot to do in it you know what i'm saying and i just don't see it six months from now being like a game where you're just still chilling sitting down with nobody [ __ ] around having the same experience yeah my goal with new world is to as soon as it comes out i'm going to play it i'm going to no life it i'm going to play it hopefully 16 hours a day and uh that this boss right here this is what i was talking about that uh that does the orbs and uh it's also like yeah it's complete dog [ __ ] i mean you guys are just sitting there auto attacking i just saw it swipe you one time for damage why is your health going instantly back up are you getting healed yes i'm getting healed and um it gets better uh guess what they have in the dungeons body blocking so like your teammates body block you yeah oh boy yeah and it looks like you know and honestly you can [ __ ] [ __ ] block the boss too to be honest and there's there's no reason for it because they have it turned off in towns so like it there's not it's like this is a technical limitation so yeah they decided that that was the way they wanted people to do the human centipede [ __ ] oh yeah of course that's like half of the content of the game yeah they take off all their clothes is there aggro in this he seems that the boss seems to be going wherever uh you know what that's an interesting question uh they're supposed to okay yeah they're supposed to be absolutely okay yeah there you go there's your first like dangerous moment right there you took a [ __ ] load of damage well no because like here here's what all these bosses do right uh they do a one two three it's the same thing as like you know um it's like basically imagine if sakiro did you play through securo uh something i played a significant amount yeah so like imagine if bosses never went past the mechanical like increase like lady butterfly like lady butterfly you just find the guy yeah the one that dudes or whatever when you start to fight him with his head lopped off no that's the guardian ape okay [ __ ] i don't remember the bosses in that fight you're talking about a butterfly yeah where you like go down the ramp and then like the the room's on fire and you fight her she jumps up in the air you hit her with the little shrieken like remember that it's pretty pretty early on yeah what about it are you saying you do like something like that that fight is like basically like what i'm saying with lady butterfly is like that fight is extremely scripted you can like parry four or three times and then you hit her four three times you parry four or three times and you hit her four three times and then she jumps up you use your shariken toss and it's like extremely extremely scripted and you can get her up into a corner and basically imagine every boss in new world functions that exact same way so the scripted mechanics of the of this boss like makes it to where like the action combat isn't really very interesting so like for example whenever you're playing dark souls and you're doing a boss like if you're doing speed runs you can create scenarios where you force a uh you force a certain action to occur but in many regards in dark souls you can't really do that so like just for like a very small example remember ornstein and smo and dark souls won no two guys the fat guy in the little guy okay what about him yeah uh well there's a chance that uh ornstein is going to charge at you and there's a chance he's going to walk at you well the chances if he charges at you it's actually better because you can separate the npcs more easily but there's only a chance that can happen so the way that you create that dynamic experience in an action mmo or an action game is you have to have randomness and that's what i think that new world doesn't really have it has just extremely scripted combat so like if you want you're saying like you're saying like the scripted combat works just not for new world like it might work for a while it might work for ff but for something that's an action combat like action combat doesn't work very well with scripting i i don't think so unless you think it should be more randomness just in general in action yeah it needs to have like more random elements like right here i can basically i'm standing back are you seeing like the screen with like the um thing yeah so like she does arcane explosion you move out of it and there's like that circle you can clearly see i'm out of the circle and i'm able to get out of it properly but other times i i don't do it and basically what happens here is like she'll cast that ability and you just need to walk out of it and that's about it like there's no real rhyme or reason to this and it's hard to even predict whenever these things are going to happen and watch how i get out of the screen i'm clearly out of it it's still hanging oh and you still got slammed it still hits me [ __ ] it's almost like the ff way but they don't give you anything to really see or justify not getting out of it well the thing is like it's worse than that right because not only do they not give you something to get out of it they do and it's wrong you can res mid-fight only once okay okay uh yeah you can you can bring somebody each person or just one person like you like only you can't each person each person yeah i'm watching you i'm watching you walk up to another guy right now and resume you know what i need to do man but yeah i thought you could only do it once you just did it twice i did it for uh different people you can res each individual the only only one person can get registered one time oh i gotcha i gotcha okay that's right so it reminds me that like there's a bunch of activities to do outside like i i'm like yeah i can go to the beach i i can i can go for a walk maybe i'll get a dog like i i mean it looks like i could do that while fighting this guy uh yeah that's about right and they do the arcane explosions like this is and this is basically it right so like what you're really talking about in terms of mechanics here is you're really talking about three mechanics in this boss and this is like a high end box and i understand that like amazon obviously had to completely change the direction of the game and like all this stuff is new but i'm not kidding you whenever i tell you like the last boss of uh it was like the eden grove dungeon the main huge crazy mechanic that she does is she puts down a ball and you have to stand behind the ball whenever she stands still and does a cast like this is vanilla wow yeah that's about to say that's like i'm talking like that's like that's dead mine's level not didn't you have to do some [ __ ] like that dead minds oh probably the thing with this game that i i think is so crazy this is how i felt the last time i played it obviously i didn't play it through this one i only watched jasmine play it um it feels like it has a bunch of the details right for a game and then everything of substance that really matters isn't there like there's so much attention to detail on like the small world building things to make a zone actually feel like it has like deep lore but then there's no actual lure there to back it up uh the there are these like intricate like chests and all of these things that it looks like you're gonna have to cut through a bunch of mobs to get to but you can just kite them around the actual boss fights don't actually have like real mechanics like the only thing that i felt really good about when i played this game that i really liked was leveling up like i loved chopping down trees i loved working on uh all the different professions i felt like that felt really good and i was hoping that they just doubled down on that and made it that type of game but i feel like the game is still very lost in what it wants to be and i don't really feel like it has like a strong vision obviously rand scope is just like non-existent i feel like well they've changed it you know remember like i mean how long have you followed survival game right yeah yeah yeah it was supposed to be a survival game then it was an mmo game then it was a survival mmo game and then it was a full loot survival mmo game and then they watched how classic wow went and it was just a survival mmo game and then again and then it became pvp was toggleable on and off and then the first preview event came out last year that we all played and then they realized holy [ __ ] people need more pve content and then that's whenever they started making the dungeons i want to say though there is one dungeon in new world that has like all these like laser beams like imagine like mission impossible like trying to get through like the different laser beams breaking in somewhere it is probably one of the coolest and best design dungeon like elements that i've ever seen in the game so the reason why i get so uh i talk about this game so much and i'm like very uh i'm very passionate about it and i'm also like very critical is because i know it can be better like i i know it can be better like and and it should be better the fact is that like nobody and it's disappointing right because whenever you see people in like the community uh for new world make excuses for a bad game you know what happens whenever you make excuses for bad game mechanics well you get a bad game that's what happens you gotta be strict on the game for sure apps are [ __ ] lutely man and i had so much fun playing the game like i got to 60 in this last week's beta yeah no [ __ ] you actually leveled that far well so that's another question i have is like is there a huge difference between that you felt your 60 character and like your level 30s when it came to pvp i'll say i didn't really like was there guys running around that were just like oh man that [ __ ] is crazy he's level 60 he's got a big glowing weapon he will destroy anybody or i'm going to be honest like so they have scaling and pvp which is like i think scaling to some degree in the game is okay but okay to the extent that like a new world has actually hate scaling i actually hate scaling i don't like it either but i think that to having like kind of like brackets where like you know like in wow for example if you come into like warsong gulch and you're like queued into like all like level tens like level 19s or like level 20s yeah yeah it's like it'd be okay if they scaled everybody to like 25 or something like that because like usually it just sucks whenever you're 22 and you're fighting somebody's 29 like everybody knows who's gonna win and so like that's kind of boring but at the same time i see what you're saying absolutely so you like the one through like the ten level scaling or something like that you don't just like the full scale soft soft scaling yeah soft scaling sore like there's a certain degree of parity but if you're a higher level and you've invested more time into the game i think in an mmo that should mean something mm-hmm yeah absolutely but like the pvp i'll be honest like we played on a server i was on the same server as tim and that server was a [ __ ] show like unlike people like fighting all the time well it was more that the there was this one area called windsword and the game was so laggy that you literally could not trade you could not trade another player okay so they're going to use that [ __ ] what was what's so special about that area uh that's where everybody's at and that was the place so like there was a base there and tim was the governor of that base and he was taxing everybody out the ass gotcha gotcha yes about right yeah that's it the scope of new world seems uh not out there yet though especially in the pve form if that was uh if that was one of the fights that was i i just think their mechanics are gonna have to be really movement based in this game like they're gonna have to do a lot of movement-based mechanics and if you have movement-based mechanics what really matters is server ticks and syncing and have you ever done that you can't have that [ __ ] happening like to you when you're getting out of that stuff have you ever done like dark souls pvp yeah it's so dysfunctional they literally have phrases and terms for the dysfunctional gameplay like phantom range they'll hit you when you're when you're a good milestone yeah yeah or they'll backstab you from the front or whatever oh yeah oh yeah especially based off of latency and stuff and i think new world does have that problem but it's going to be like a large scale problem like the large scale funny is that you mentioned you mentioned dark souls i actually think dark souls would make such a cool like mmo uh i like the concept that they use um and i think they can use it for like dungeons so my concept for dungeons uh it is always like i always like at least like at high level was the i uh the opportunity for them to get raided by another group and for that dungeon to get stolen you know and it kind of had an aspect like similar to that in dark souls where you can raid somebody's single-player game and just go [ __ ] them up because you want to you know what i'm saying yeah i think that's super cool not to mention the pvp in that game if it was like actually worked on um like heavily i think could actually be pretty damn good uh the concept of dark souls pvp isn't really that bad to be honest it's just a little laggy yeah exactly like the idea of it is really good and new world like to their credit actually did solve some of the latency problems with pvp so like you know like what iframes are and everything right with like dark pulses yeah yeah so basically what they did is they just increase the amount of iframes that the player has whenever they do a dodge in order to offset the expected latency differences between the different players so it's basically like airing more on the side of protecting the player rather than punishing them which i do actually like it's funny to see that that's their solution rather than having better servers realistically however uh it's better than what it was where you would just roll out of something and you'd still get hit because of the uh the latency problems so the net code is a uh the next i mentioned they took uh they took out the uh the auto attack like stun lock thing didn't they in this or no yeah they removed the stagger from light attacks which like that has a lot of people really mad and i will be completely honest with you yeah yeah i don't really understand why i don't get it because i didn't do a lot of pvp in the game like to me like if i really want to do pvp in a game i'll want to play something like valorant or like an actual pvp game because usually like mmo pvp is just really really like it's like gimmicky it's rock paper scissors and i usually don't feel good whenever i win a fight in mmo okay yeah which is kind of weird i play them all the time but that's generally how i feel not to mention you're not you don't just play them all the time like you are a top like arena like you've been you get like always the highest rating every uh every year right for um or every season to get i told you that am i wrong on that yeah you are you playing gta rp right now you roll play no listen i swear i'll be mom okay i thought asmin every season since he he he mount farms his ass off right he has everything in the game gladiator yeah yeah you get gladiator sure but gladiator's really not that hard to get it's not what it was in bc man uh it's certainly not but i feel like there's no way that you can get carried to gladiator in my opinion i don't think you can i don't think you can get carried a gladiator man like you have to showcase i i wish that my chat agreed no [ __ ] okay okay yeah i i really do i wish my chat agreed but um i used to be very good i used to be very very good at pvp and that was in rather lich king which was 10 years ago oh no [ __ ] that was when i peeled pete a lot too i played a warrior i played a warrior that's when warrior was really fun they had colossal smash and all that was a good time oh yeah it was a great [ __ ] time i loved it and uh the issue though is that was 10 years ago so um yeah i don't really think i'm going to take it like super seriously in terms of the pvp but i'd like to do like kind of some of the just just have fun and play the game and like if i i like being kind of a a mercenary in a way rather than being part of like a very established team because i just find it like more interesting and more dynamic it's kind of like what i did on russ too and like and like russ kind of i feel the same way it's like you do have like those big wins where like you'll win and like you're using like a spear you're supposed to using a bow and arrow or you catch somebody off guard you hit him like with melee or something and they have a gun and you take their gun like that's really really cool but most of the time in rust going into the fight based off of what you have and based off of what they have you pretty much know who's gonna win okay and like that's it's so hard to like make that work and i feel like a lot of mmos do kind of miss the boat on that in terms of being able to make it like fulfilling for a player well i mean that's why it's all um it's all uh what's it scaled right i mean that's the whole yeah the thing about scaling is i want everybody to feel like they're on the same page yep exactly and uh the scaling stuff i'm not really a i'm not really like a huge fan of like a lot of the scaling but i think that there is some of it that's necessary so the game just isn't like super uh is like super focused around like pvp i think that like making new world focused around pvp will at the end of the day make the game probably worse over time because there's this very small pvp audience of uh of people and i think that audience of people is it like it shrinks itself because the people that like the hardcore pvp stuff like it because they can basically force somebody else to quit the game and it just like they're like they like pooping on people yeah yeah yeah exactly and like that's what they're into and i get it i understand it it's fine i've liked that stuff before in the past as well however that's not necessarily good for the long-term health of the game yeah i got you on that okay i mean it's it's fine they got an extra month now to fix it dude i just don't understand that concept dude how can you change a game in a month dude when they delayed i was like they should just delay for another year oh it's two months now it's okay everything's fine two months now wait wait wait so it's coming out in october uh no it's september oh yeah they they got one extra month right supposed to come out yeah yeah um yeah i see what you're saying but yeah i think that that was the thing that didn't really make sense with the beta timing like when you put or when you put out a beta like that you're basically like we're gonna show off we're gonna turn drops on we're gonna have the streamers play it and everybody's gonna come and nobody came i i think that's kind of the problem right now uh we we came to the wrong game is more what it feels like right now so the the question is uh were they that confident and if they were that confident going into this beta are they going to have that level of confidence once they take the two months to fix everything because i agree with one month period is not enough to go in with that beta and actually make a lot of the changes i hope they push it back again all right go ahead get some no you got you good uh i think that every time that new world hits the general audience the developers lose the confidence that they spent the last six months developing i feel bad so you guys think that they bring this out with confidence i was thinking that they were bringing they bring this out due to not that confident in their product like they're looking for asmin golds to give them ideas i hope i mean like listen i don't have anything you do like wouldn't you wait until five months though or something like that so you actually had time to take those ideas not like one month i think like one month they could literally just dm me and be like hey dude what do you think we should do or something right but not everybody does that i mean how many companies okay so i've preached about this for a long time that streamers can make big differences on video games when uh showcasing that they have like a high level of knowledge in that specific game field or whatever whether it be shooting games mmos whatever and my thing is i am really baffled that more companies aren't reaching out to streamers or talent or professional players and getting them on like a pay cycle of hey we need info from you and that's it you don't need to code [ __ ] we just need you to help us on a direction you know what i mean and i'm very surprised that it's more companies haven't done that i actually have been hit up by a couple companies who have heard me say this and then they've reached out but you know i'm not in a position to do it myself you know but i'm saying that there are people out there that could put companies on the right track yoshi ps you know what i'm saying um that that could get hired without necessarily coding knowledge or leading knowledge or any of that stuff just you know simple straight up video game knowledge yeah i think it definitely is important yeah it actually insulting like how are you not like hiring consultants you know what i mean to [ __ ] kind of fix your game for you it actually is starting to happen a lot more and i do think it's a good trend yeah uh like look with uh asman and i have definitely seen it a lot recently and uh you know even after this have to catch asman up on some of that stuff starting to happen even more right but the thing is is um we're we're kind of at a very big crossroads i i think in game design in general where you're gonna see a lot more games that can focus on being a very specialized game for a very specialized audience because with how the internet works now with streamers you're able to reach that audience you don't need to just go as big as possible and try to attract as many players as possible i mean even look at valheim right i mean valheim is one of those games where it i don't think the intent was for it to be like one of the biggest games and it was very specialized in a lot of ways yeah everybody found it that game looked like it was pretty decent i bet you they're going to roll with it too and make it a lot better with companies like that when you get your big break man you gotta roll with punches like fall i was that uh fall fall guys fall guys kind of right yeah they were super popular and they started rolling on it dude that's a great game still by the way i mean it may not be as popular as it once was but i [ __ ] will go back and play guys it's a great game yeah i i think it's good too thank you like yeah it's just it's simple it's clean if it plays well like that if people are playing it you know you're not waiting for lobbies and you just said yourself yeah yeah it's actually fun to watch too like i i enjoyed that i remember that was like right around the time we were starting otk and like just watching tim absolutely fail over and over again when uh he couldn't he was like the longest like streamer not to get a dub on the [ __ ] on that one platform one forever is so good and then he had like 100k viewers people waiting for him to win that [ __ ] he had like yeah you remember 800k it was like it was like the big news like there were people like reporting on it probably in like you know traditional media they're like oh you're like if you're tim the tatman like on that situation like are you like i almost feel like he didn't want that damn when you when you do win it's like [ __ ] almost you know [ __ ] i know what you mean yeah we uh i remember we were doing like we were doing like a giant one million dollar tournament like we were about to do a game that determined like the fate of a million dollars in which players were gonna get a million dollars and like more people were watching tim just die and fall guys it was so [ __ ] good it was just such a crazy moment on twitch then i love too that every time something like that happens like everybody's just like yeah i'm gonna be a fall guy streamer now like it's kind of the future like we're gonna be doing fog ice cream every weekend um but yeah that game it had a really good place for a while i do think it's still a good game but i think that among us is even more interesting because that game sat there for like two years and like it just existed for two years nobody knew about it and then [ __ ] sodapop yeah and then then everybody started playing it what is this is creepy what are these like tentacle things i feel like the more that they actually tried to like fall guys or just say yeah this might be a fall guys one yeah yeah it's fall guys i don't know i try to actually see what the game is nowadays i haven't played it in maybe a few years they i have played and they got a lot of new maps and stuff recently i actually did it yeah i i had to play it for a sponsor sponsored not not by them uh i was spawn it was day of nuttiness i hated this mechanic like these mechanics dude it was fun we were going nutty all day long uh we got to go nutty and play a little bit of fall guys man that was nutty you still have the emote on your channel uh i actually i'm not 100 sure but i ran out of nutter butters and i hope that they do send me more there was like there was a solid stretch of time where i just would eat like a sleeve of nutter butters a day those are so good one of my favorite snacks yeah i love going nutty uh i feel like the best thing about that is like the ad campaign is just so painfully disconnected that it's like the horseshoe theory it's so painfully disconnected people like it what are you talking about it's pretty it's good it's i think it's great dude that when they put they put the hashtag going nutty in the chat we get explosions why didn't they just call it nut explosions what no hey look i don't write the campaigns i don't know right the campaigns i love i loved it i i had a lot of fun you want to hear my you know my favorite thing about the campaign what i got i got a message the night before and they were like hey we just want to tell you to not do one thing and i was like okay what is that one thing they said please do not violently consume nutter butter cookies i said what is what is violently consumingly consumed they sent me a couple they said don't do this they're gonna ask you if it was like something you did in the past or like why they would possibly bring that up and it's because ms kiff too aggressively manhandled a nutter butter i would like you to know that you know behind the scenes this wasn't the first and it also wasn't the last time so he's still manhandling nutter bites the thing is is you like you think that um you actually kind of crazy and that is actually more mmo than like rpg diablo that's why i told my child i was like i'm not really into diablo or poe or like grinding like that and they were like no no it's an mmo and we pull up the dragon fight that i did i don't know if we can find it like there's a chat saying i've heard about that my understanding is it's kind of like a um you know like how like you can play wow for free but if you pay like a monthly sub you get to play the actual full game i think that's the way lost ark works my understanding is like that's the way that they want it to work for western audiences but i do think that the eastern version could be just completely pay to win however we haven't really had the alpha yet and i i can't really guarantee it one way or another i love a good pay to win game i i'm not gonna lie i know you like every now and then as long as it's like as long as the game comes out it's like i am a pay to win game it feels really good i don't know what it is about pay to win like i do think that i might have some sort of mental impairment but yeah like i i get a rush that is indescribable from pay to win games is it like phantom so what you're really cell phone games or what yeah i i have gotten really into cell phone games like the cell phone games have actually realized that if they sponsor me they'll make money uh and i'll i'll like go like i can't stop thinking about it like it overcomes me uh and i'm like sitting there i got it like auto running and then i'm like yeah oh my god it's like shardpool weekend like i [ __ ] love that [ __ ] like i genuinely love it i don't know what it is and i like know it's a bad idea and i like won't need anything and i just keep giving it money it's like the only thing that makes me get like a like a dopamine rush i guess yeah well like some of the fights do look really cool and as i've said some people like people are correcting me they're saying that it is pay to win i i do i would love to have information about that to know exactly how it is because i want to know that myself so i don't mind subscription games i like subscription games if the idea of pay to win is subscription that's that's not paid to win to me that's that's actually the eliminator yeah yeah that's the the solution to pay to win so yeah would i would love to have like evidence or like an explanation of how it is pay to win because i want to know just objectively uh absolutely but yeah some of these fights oh yeah like look look what they're doing like that boss isn't down yet and they're doing something else going around it or something exactly yeah and like despite the video itself just for the fight i mean it's an asmr gold react video so it's like 45 minutes long but like the fight itself was like only six it was 16 minutes oh [ __ ] that's not that's crazy accounts like around in public like if if i could wear like a snake you can't it's called it's called buying a shirt from gucci it's moments like this that i don't like about diablo and poe games like they're all stacked there's a million [ __ ] abilities going on each other visual clarity does not exist it's like it's like final fantasy if you had to have your abilities all chunked up all the time you know what i mean even like everybody and it would just be a [ __ ] nuisance that's a problem that i think peoe's had for a long time and like the funny thing is like you just look at my hands that's probably what i'm saying that that's probably right you're probably saying that right now yeah because no this is a big issue with poe especially like uh how much you play to peewee i've never played any of it but i do i i have seen it when it first came out yeah it wasn't it's flashy right wasn't it more like dumbed down more chilled out and now it's gotten into the diabolo kind of like flashlight this hatch every patch they add in some new [ __ ] right and then like after eight years and that's why they're doing poe too right to do kind of like a soft reset on that kind of stuff which is a great thing like i'm super excited for poe too like yeah i can see myself getting into a game like this as long as i felt there was a reason to get into it it's just like when i think about getting into diablo i think about what the concept is it's like okay i want to go get these like i would have to i would want to get the weapons right an arm what's the point do what to do what with you know to go try to get more weapons you have to do with rift 50 55 and then after you do 55 do 56 and that goes up to 150. yeah that's that's just like the real hardcore pve aspect like in my mmos man i need a pvp presence i can even go into final fantasy with people telling me it's dog [ __ ] but as long as it's there i'm okay you know yeah i i have heard a lot of good things about lost ark pvp and i've never seen an isometric game i guess like actually what the [ __ ] am i talking about like league of legends is isometric yeah so yeah yeah i mean like maybe maybe i'm just totally off base with this albion online has like done a decent yeah it's true as well very true so maybe it would be really good like i'm super excited for this game i actually uh um i i hit up one of the people at amazon and i'm like hey man so uh about the lost ark alpha he's like are you kidding me like we just finished new world and not like that you know constant investment that let's say we used to have back 10 years ago like it it's certainly sad that it's not there yeah i don't know it's tough to really look forward to an mmo right now because ashes of creation i think when we talk about it i get excited about it when i saw it i wasn't necessarily super excited about it um and then new world kind of the same deal it's exciting to talk about watching it not so much i feel like there's a uh there's like this inverse relationship with the less people know about an mmo the more hyped up for it they are and the more they know about it the less type of time they become i imagine that being a developer of an mmo has to suck huge [ __ ] wean oh dude there there's a lot of it's not even like a second wean thing you know second dick's pretty cool it's just like spitting out calm like it sucks man just sheer spitting energy i i think when i look at warhammer actually that game was one of the that was like a defining moment in in game like problems with promotion for me even though we were pretty young back then uh if you remember warhammer was so [ __ ] hyped and then it just like they kept hyping it up they kept typing it up when the [ __ ] is it coming out and then by the time it came out like people kind of didn't care but then they started playing and they had ridiculously high expectations what the game was going to be and everybody was like yeah [ __ ] this it's not wow peace and everybody people poofed even though there were some good things in that game like marauder was cool uh squib herder or squig herder whatever the [ __ ] it was called was pretty cool like there were cool things in that game but the hype just got so unrealistic the what people wanted from that game was so weird and all of the promotion that happened just killed it it was all cyber punked out i mean that was yeah i mean cyberpunk kind of held up to the expectations didn't it or did it not uh it uh did the opposite it did not hold up at all i thought people liked it a little bit funny wait a year for those types of games and they get better man just gotta wait a year yeah i think that's probably what it is like if i went to play cyberpunk today i feel like it probably would not be that bad but like after and like it's the same with like what happened with classic wow right where like you had people that just like elevated this game to this like deity status and then the game comes out and it's like yeah of course it didn't meet those expectations because his expectations are ridiculous it's a [ __ ] video game i mean having expectations even close to world of warcraft especially 10 years ago just out of just it seems impossible i want to try no man's sky that that's like the one game i really want to try yeah it's getting a lot better i heard it's improved a lot and i heard it's actually almost like kind of in like a decently playable state to be honest people have been asking me to play that for the last five years yeah people yeah people say it's good like people say it's like legitimately a good game i think it has been a good game for like a year or so now yeah development team or something like that well they said that you couldn't like find your friend no matter how [ __ ] hard you looked because there was so many galaxies and someone found their friend the same day it came out but they couldn't see each other and yeah because it was different phases it was just fake right and like it wasn't a shared world like that what they had imagined no i i think so too i mean the star citizen thing the only person i've ever seen play star citizen is nick because i guess he's the only person who can afford to play it but i looked at some of the different like packages and things you can buy in the game and i was like what the [ __ ] is this like this is crazy [ __ ] yeah apparently like yeah it's like a 30 000 ship or something crazy like that so i don't yeah it's what i've heard okay so like i don't know if it's really true but that's what i've certainly heard yeah i feel like um if i was gonna spend like i i don't know like okay all right you got me dude you gotta go mustang alpha starter pack 45 bones for the [ __ ] aurora mr starter pack yeah both of those are 45 bones i guess just to get a ship yeah it's a whole interesting no it dude actually people knew what game i was going to start talking about like if i was going to like in invest in in really like a game like that that i feel like is crazy and [ __ ] i'd play eve like candy's been like you can't use like actually like be involved with like the world government if you play eve so i heard it's insane whenever they get into fights how much money like gets tanked from [ __ ] fighting each other or something like that like hundreds of thousands yeah but dude you put real money into eve right now is that against terms of service i thought you could buy like bonds or something like that in that game but i'm not sure if that's still the case yeah all i heard is like if you like if you play english enough you can like become a lizard person and rule the world oh yeah yeah so i i definitely have some interest in that game for sure but yeah with the whole no man's sky thing i i will say i think i'm relatively impressionable by videos so like i see a video that says that a game is good i'm like oh i'm gonna play it like i watch a channel three video and i'm like man maybe i should try maybe i should go to a furry convention like this doesn't look too bad so maybe that game isn't actually good and i just got hyped up by a video that was uh chat was definitely more on board what it seemed for no man's sky than they were for uh for what's called uh star citizen star citizen yeah it seemed like they're more the ship prices that's why people see that they're like uh ombre like this is some [ __ ] this is some [ __ ] [ __ ] i mean it is a little shitty to be looking at that stuff because i've been like personally when it comes to star citizen just kind of waiting for it to get to a point where it's like getting you know a good game to jump on stream with but it is a little disheartening to just see like hey buy the ship for 45 bucks yeah it's good to have like a main game like i know like for you you were doing gta for a long time man yeah and like i always have main games always i have like a cycle of them what's your main game now so i like my cycle of main games right now are grand theft auto 5 sea of thieves um what else is there uh those are kind of like the manchester banks i would say ff14 is probably in that mix now i like to have like a circle of four four games or so that i always go back to you like rotate around then they have to be really good to make that list you know what i mean like sea of thieves it was a it's like the one of the most underrated games in existence is so [ __ ] good i think that it's actually a better game to stream than just play on its own because i actually have watched your streams right and like they're really really good like hiding in the hall and [ __ ] yeah it's just you can get [ __ ] sneaky in that game man it's just you can you can choose the way you play it which is another nice thing you know you don't have to play it that way you can play it however you want to and that's like really when i i like i love when you play that game it's so [ __ ] fun to watch um it's solid all around solid you can you team up do big ship battles you can go do big school ship battles you can do pve content you can do pvp content you can do sneaky solo content you can do uh you know you can do sneaky [ __ ] explosive content what's what me my crew do a lot like when we're serious mode is like we're trying to hunt down certain chests or like ones that are uh you know of high notoriety um you know they might utilize me for information and i'll all sneak onto the ship get into a certain spot feed them info oh they're on this quest you know they have this many left oh there's the [ __ ] chest right there and my guys will just be an island away a couple islands away so then when i when we spring the trap boom the dudes are all of a sudden like you're just imagine you're just you're on the ship you don't know anybody stowed away it's just you and your boys doing this athena quest dude then all of a sudden after an hour and a half of nothing you [ __ ] randomly your anchor's down an explosion just went off on your ship and there's a [ __ ] galleon on the side broadsiding your whole ship right now stealing your [ __ ] and it all happens in a matter of 15 seconds it's so [ __ ] great i love it i do one time that is just so cool i i think that's just so that's that's great it's a good time man i literally played one time and i just played with random people and it was just a bunch of like eight-year-olds like she shows up that's true hot mic it was so funny it was so [ __ ] funny they were like dude like you're really not good at this and you're just like dude you'll get onto a ship those are the best ones hot mics they won't know you're there they're just talking about their every [ __ ] day life or whatever is going on you just listen to this full conversation it's hilarious dude that's the best thing about it is like you would just sit there and these people would just be like doing the stream like there'd be like basically some random you know random dude a random kid doesn't know that he's effectively streaming to like thousand people insane check out some people right now yeah and he has no idea about it nobody can tell them anything it's hilarious you legit just be staring at someone's character right in their face you can see every feature on them and they have no [ __ ] idea it's crazy it's one of the it's like you know what's crazy about that is it was never intended with sea of thieves to be a thing that was found out by the player base that you can actually utilize tucking your head into a a wall or an object to make it so that they can't see your name above your head and then sea of thieves years later took that concept that you know these guys made on on snowing away on ships and actually rolled with it and created emotes to do just that which will take your your name away purposely and stuff like that so you more ways to stowaway on ships just crazy um that something that was not intended um and then the devs rolled with the punches and it's now like one of the greatest things about the game i've been in how you can sneak and show it emerging player behavior man that's where that's where it really comes in and you have the developers that have like the right insight into the game to just play right into it that's so cool i had no idea about that it gets more in depth than that sea of thieves like yeah when i was playing like we took piracy to outside of the video game we knew that these servers were going down where people would go into servers and discords and purposely take over all the ships on the server so that they can go around and have their pve little jerk sesh right and then what we would do is we would send spies into these discord servers to get me this information and to get their own ship for them to let us board the ship on this full alliance server and then we'd go around [ __ ] everybody up or creating havoc or stealing their stuff oh so you had a man inside people got mad about that stuff oh we had inside men and discords looking for these servers yeah yeah can you play one he did that's four people on the ship yo oh my god the three of us and aiden ross dude oh absolutely you love it i'm telling you it's such an underrated game that you can fall in love with yeah i think actually you know what we're talking about i might try to fire it up man see what it's like yeah honestly just get like if you're just going like going in solo you're probably not gonna like enjoy him as much right off the bat but if you're just going with like a little crew of just your friends just like [ __ ] off going digging up treasure getting into crazy [ __ ] like cannon fights with other ships it's a trip man it's a trip i feel like it's the same with like rust right you play solo you're gonna have like kind of a weird experience but you go in there with the boys like oh my gosh oh bro and you're like raiding like the that like off like in the ocean like that's a oil place yeah the oil rig everything like that yeah it feels a lot like that it's it's very pve pvp circle around like you need everyone needs everyone you know so great that was really cool but yeah i mean i'd say like right now it sounds weird but like i'm probably more optimistic about gaming now than i have been probably in the past year or so with like so many like mmos and stuff like that coming out for me at least and i'm i'm glad about that i really am it's [ __ ] great yeah people are saying we're in a game drop but i feel like we're just in a limbo period where games are changing a lot and uh and we're going to be taking steps into that the future of gaming within the next few years you know i'm saying which will be a good thing for everybody i feel like there's a lot of these like big companies that are trying to make these like massive aaa games and it's just like those games i don't think can really compete with like these like really small agile studios like what made valheim i think that's gonna be really the future in a lot of ways yeah i guess it depends on the studios really uh like you still got like uh naughty dog and stuff that are still heavily into old school style 60 story game you know what i mean uh oh yeah but uh that's not the future in my opinion it's the 60 dollar story games are the only ones capable of that of the triple a game studios right nobody else is really dabbling in that i mean and then triple a once the aaa studios start dabbling into the big boy stuff and getting away from that it's gonna be it's gonna be kind of crazy i think i just think the single player 60 game i feel like we'll eventually start to like uh not fade out but like just not be as popular maybe not be 60 bones anymore yeah or something like that you're definitely right that's a lot of money for an eight-hour session of a video game to really enjoy and like and say that hey i got my money's worth out of that people are saying it's 70 and 80 now which is wild man i remember when dude remember whenever it went up to 60 with uh xbox 360 and like that generation and people are staged yeah maybe that's not the case then maybe that's the future maybe it's just to keep that price going up i feel like the only time i play a 60 or 70 game whatever it is um they're nintendo switch games like i can't think of any other like game that i've i could do i could i could definitely invest in a final fantasy 7 remake and enjoy it i think i haven't played any of the final fantasy games besides 11 and 14 now i'm gonna go back and do it eventually like i keep saying i'm gonna go back and do it but i just haven't done it yet yeah just dude a couple enjoyable chill days when you're burned out on everything else you know i'm saying you load up ff7 remake or you load up the ff7 old school version just enjoy have you uh have you ever played monster hunter summit i have not but mostly for the reasoning of like i can't get myself to like there always needs to be some sort of pvp for me man when it comes to mmos i cannot explain that to you it's like if ff14 had not dog [ __ ] pvp but had zero pvp i probably wouldn't even have tried it a reason for me to get all this gear and for me the reason i get all that gear is so that i can go [ __ ] somebody else up with it now ff doesn't you know pertain to that you know because it's scaled and stuff but that's how that's how my mmo mine thinks like when i play wow i would like to get cool [ __ ] so that i can go out in the open world and [ __ ] somebody up with it that's why you get the gear that's the ashcandy thing you're not excited to get asked gandhi to just go do damage you're excited to take it into warsong gulch get that exercise that's how i feel on mmos most of the time so yeah did you like hut ball um is it so are you talking about sort of hop yeah yeah um yeah i like i like help all i think uh i think sotor's pvp just got a little too it's just a little too zergy for me and their their their ttk timer is very very long like it and everybody and their mom has defensive cooldowns multiple defensive cooldowns to use on you so that was my problem with sotor but hotball itself was it was kind of cool when i understood what was going on i i haven't played hut ball since the game came out i used to grind that game like actually grind that game around the time it came out and hut ball was so [ __ ] good like i genuinely would have fun and look forward to playing hotball but yeah i don't know how much it's changed at this point i i watched like a little bit of you play but i don't think it's changed at all i feel like the hotball is the exact same as when i played it like you know when i before i was a streamer like 10 years ago to be honest but i might be wrong on that but social is just so it should it gets laggy for one pvp like they still haven't figured out how to get like the lag not to be there so it kind of sucks and it's just kind of a big zerg circle jerky can't really tell who i'm attacking a lot of times in fact i went on a huge rant and stared at my channel in the camera and told them i can't [ __ ] stand targeting somebody and not being able to see that target because there's so many [ __ ] people and it's like it's not an obvious target in in it's like there's no highlight on the ground it's a little circle that kind of moves over them and it's not even like a thick font for it it's very thin font for it so you can barely [ __ ] see anything that i'm attacking when it when four or five people get into a circle with each other uh yeah when that when that happened there are a lot of things that uh that i can't stand and one of the things that i really can't stand is when i'm on the road not being able to watch the shows that i want to watch and the streams that i want to watch because i'm in a foreign country but luckily for me i found a solution to that problem and that solution was nordvpn i don't know if you guys have heard about it but now you have you can use code all craft right now uh the official partner of all craft nord vpn and and thankfully i don't have to get as mad as summit now because all of my problems are solved boom it's not crazy i'm an angry person i've heard about that the the the whole uh monitor thing yeah it was crazy oh yeah yeah yeah i did punch my monitor yeah punch the monitor you punched a webcam too right no it's just a monitor um back then i was only on a single pc setup and i had a my monitor had nothing behind it it can just fly off the desk into the corner so yeah dude just one day uh fortnite not fortnite it was uh h1z1 and an h1z1 you won two things happen you got stream sniped into oblivion and those guys were gonna talk to you a lot okay so this kid just kills me talks a little [ __ ] and it was just built up to that day it just built up built up built up i just slammed my headset off my head and i was actually i was actually just thinking about punching it i was like i was going into the motion of it thinking like i'm gonna stop you know but then i just did it and i honestly i went to bed that night mad at myself thinking oh dude people are gonna be pissing me dude i'm going to wake up tomorrow and they're just the [ __ ] internet's going to hate me yeah i woke up and everyone loved it and i was like what the [ __ ] it ended up being such a breath of fresh air because i thought i was going to like i have to like apologize and i'm sorry for losing my temper you know but everybody just loved it and it worked out off the screen jesus christ oh man um but yeah no i i feel like [Laughter] um but yeah have you ever uh after you did that did you ever want to like punch anything else like because it was so cathartic like you ever punched a man or anything no no no i keep my anger in check i like to think i keep my anger in check in real life pretty well i i'll raise my voice and stuff but i never get physical with anything you know so my mom except my monitor i used to take my keyboard and hold one end of it it was a wireless keyboard and i would beat it against my forehead until i knocked enough keys out of the keyboards where i couldn't play the game anymore and then i would be crawling around under my desk picking up all the individual keys and then putting them back in the key like uh you're like the old school delore or i think yeah yeah i was the i was the i was the stereotype yeah like that was it the streamer there's a stream that got banned for that recently yeah uh where he purposely buys 10 like dollar keyboards so that he can smash him over his [ __ ] head and like not have any problems with it and i'll say this right you know yeah yeah and um uh yeah i think he's unbanned now but like i've i've done that before he's completely fine guys it's totally okay yeah it might not be what you should do but it's not really that oh god why are you showing the [ __ ] dark souls clips wait did you have problems with dark souls all right uh yeah yeah you could say that dude the worst the worst is when like i would be doing something with asmin you know like we'd be like talking on like an important meeting we were doing an episode of all craft something and he'd have this look on his face with these big like huge allies he's staring at his screen and he's just like yeah yeah dude yeah yeah dude and you can tell he's not paying attention okay and like i would always know i'm like oh no he's playing dark souls and we'd be talking to like a random person and the person would say something and you just hear him go [ __ ] and he would just be pissed and the person would be like what he's like nothing it was like there was like a solid four month period that every conversation i had with asman and anyone else was just him playing dark souls getting mad i don't understand how that's even possible dude if you don't understand it it was dark souls 2. dark souls is [ __ ] yeah and it's at dark souls 2 which is oh man oh man that's even worse because your movement is like limited yeah without a doubt i mean dude just the [ __ ] the gargoyles alone would send me off on that game i remember i played the first dark souls and my chat was like letting me know like how bad it was going to go for me they told me when i got the gargoyles i hate my [ __ ] life and i sure did gargoyles took me a while but i didn't really have a wall like i hit a wall in artorias it took me like two hours but other than that it was pretty much okay and uh nameless king was my wall and i remember yeah i uh i i i was the stream went so bad at the end of the stream i went back into the vaude and i banned like 100 people and i deleted the vod you went into the vaude band i've never even thought of that that's a great idea yep i went back and i retroactively deleted those [ __ ] out and like this herbo dumb dude took care of hilarious i've never thought of you that's so [ __ ] crazy oh i mean if chad will tell me what his name is um oh haven no not hale uh oh havel yeah hagrid or havel havel that's what it is yeah havel the guy in the uh in like the metal or like the rock armor yeah that guy's a huge [ __ ] yeah i remember uh the person that i always have a problem with every time i go back to dark souls threes now you played two but i went back to i played dark souls three small and uh there was uh it's got better movement dude you're gonna raise a little less on it um not less on it but you might oh i played the whole thing okay so you did oh you know what's going on um the lady the dancing lady no oh that one yeah i hate her i hate her i will always want to fight her when i'm underpowered because i'm stubborn right right right after you do vort you go straight to her rather than like continuing through the game a little bit and coming back that's the play but i'm like pretty stubborn on that chick i think i can take her uh and i do but it usually takes me a few hours that's literally the exact same thing that happens to me i did the exact same thing on cinders recently whenever i replayed that and it was a uh it was a real [ __ ] headache i remember i just like at some point just ended the [ __ ] stream i'm like okay i'm not gonna kill i'm gonna kill tomorrow it is what it is yeah yep so i just don't i don't rage at games like i don't know what it is like i'm just very dark uh i started to i didn't rage during that asman was there with me i didn't rage uh look you've played with it so wait could you talk can i do we chalk that up as to you just being completely in control and blissfulness in your body or are you just not a competitive person i'm going to explain what it was is it he's three hours to get the tourist demon and then he started watching youtube videos so that's why you think you didn't get mad yeah who's this guy i uh yeah no i i just genuinely like i look i'm not going to say it's just a game because one of my role models actually said that that's such a weak mindset and yeah i really i look up to him a lot and like the perfe i like i the perfection of a craft is something that i really do value a lot um but i think that for me i just always know that i am going to beat it eventually and that's why i never freak out and i never rage like i did did i freak out a single time when we were in t9 together you did it you kept you cool the whole time you don't talk a lot though you don't talk a lot while you play oh i was talking you just can't hear me i swear i i mute i mute because like uh i don't want to say like i want to make jokes when you're being serious or some [ __ ] like that i also like when uh in mmos like i feel like it's always like i feel like you do need to be kind of respectful of comms and mmos because my one buddy like he freaks out all the time he's like hey rich can you clear comms and i've just really carried that to pretty much every time with someone yeah yeah that's crazy i can only take too many i can only take too many clear comps before i freak out on that human to be honest that's what happened with him yeah they made a whole video about it wait who freaked out rich or the other guy the other girl uh well people freaked out on the other guy oh no [ __ ] they made a video we just kept saying it yeah well it's kind of a big deal i i'm used to raiding with raid leaders who yell at you same that's kind of like the the way to get the 40 man in in the gear back in the day at least yeah like whenever i die to something in like final fantasy and my entire chat is [ __ ] idiot you know even if it's not even my fault and like usually it might not even be my fault and then that's especially whenever they get on me right they'll look for ways to make it your fault up like you could have done this and you would save the whole raid absolutely that's happens to me too many times i'm very used to it by now but uh either way man i know it's been going on for quite a while i want to say uh thanks a lot for coming on and uh coming in the show and everything
