hello guys smart poly here welcome back to another video in this video i want to show you guys how to easily retarget miximo animations to the unreal engine mannequin with only one click of a button so without further ado let's get right into the video first of all download the project and open the project by double clicking on it once you've opened the project here you're going to notice in the content browser the mixmo folder and here is the character the skeleton with everything set up all you need to do is go to mixmo.com log in with your accounts you can create a free account just log in with your google account then what you want to make sure you have is this xbot character so to change that you can go to characters and search xbot and change it to this red xbox right here then go to the animations and we can search run maybe this one running like so you want to make sure you check in place if you're going to be using this for your characters uh animations click download and we can also do a dance maybe something like this let's hit download all right so once they're downloaded all you have to do is select the animations and drag it into this miximo folder you'll see this fbx import options open up you want to uncheck import mesh make sure that the character underscore skeleton is selected there and then you just hit import all okay once it's finished importing you're going to see that it created these two extra animations these t-poses we can ignore those all we need to do is control click on the running and breakdance right click and click this retarget anim assets duplicate anime assets and retarget then you select the ue4 skeleton and click retarget once that's done you just head over to the content you're going to see here the two animations so we can double click to open these and then we can also double click to open this one so we can drag these two animations into our scene here and i can show you them real quick so you can see the animations are all retargeted and all it takes is one click of a button and really you can download all the different animations here on mixmo there's a bunch of different ones you have combat animations venture a bunch of different stuff here so you can take any of those animations and just drag them into the miximo folder right click and click retarget another thing that you want to do is once you have your animations here you want to select these right click and go to asset actions and export them just export them to a new folder click save that looks all fine just click export and the reason why you can export these is if you have your actual project you can just import these animations directly into your project and to do that it's very easy just navigate to your folder of the animations pretend this is a different project all you have to do is select the animations that you've exported drag and drop and for the skeleton you want to select your ue4 mannequin click import all and you'll have the animations that you just retargeted in your brand new project so anyways hope this video was helpful for you guys if you guys enjoyed the video make sure you leave a like and subscribe for more tutorials and as always i'll see you guys in the next one
