Minecraft - HermitCraft S7#1: Season 7 Begins!

[Music] hello oh dear welcome welcome everybody oh man that threw me off a bit oh I almost fell down the hole there welcome everybody that's right this is exciting season seven of hermit craft is here and we are here with the guys oh so amazing so so a magnificent tremendous even I am really looking forward to this and one of the first things I did check this out look what I got from the traveling merchants a little makeover look at my beautiful blue eyes so bright so so amazing the shiny golden locks oh I could get used to this look I think it really suits me actually could be good could be good can't wear it all the time now you know I got a I got to be me every so often that's like that's me on the inside beautiful but on the outside it's just this now anyways how did we get here guys what's going on we're in a jungle right now I kind of decided to nest down here for the moment we might live here we might live here but how did it all begin how did we get here well let me let me tell you you know season seven of hermit craft began much like you would expect with with docum talking about his feats also wanna point out are very drops just say very stylish come on I'm not yeah come on hello everyone and welcome to hermit craft season seven go it was at this moment that everybody started to panic suddenly the jarring intro caught everybody off guard we went from listening to a Zuma soothing voice to uh-oh this is it it's begun we must survive and how can we were trapped alone together on this island void of resources no trees no food and if we stay here for too long surely we'll turn on each other so we must leave we must venture out find more prosperous lands in this situation I found even myself I wasn't sure what to do where I would go I wasn't confident in my own abilities to survive so I did what any reasonable person would do and I looked to another I looked to none other than vintage beef the wise old man this this master player has more experience in Minecraft than almost anybody almost all survival experience he even plays creative mode on hard this guy is a legend let me tell you I've decided to hitch my wagon to his star I would be the barnacle to his cruise ship and follow him wherever he would go are there any trees there either I don't see any oh yeah we chose poorly we did oh no this is like oh this is a messa in a desert oh no it's a mess all right a big mess oh okay we're gonna get the first cactus proud achievements I need I know exactly where I want to go I just need wood to get there and this is not this is not the place with wood oh there's a tree I'm on the you see it there we're on the plateau you've gone straight that's a mushroom isn't it no it's not an unerring that can't be a mushroom unfortunately for me I fail to consider beefs old age his senses dulled not what they used to be mushrooms and trees look the same to him his instincts are right but his directions are wrong in that moment I felt helpless and hopeless there was no food in this barren land surely we were doomed but then wise master beef taught me another trick there was there was a way to survive in this barren land if you if you were willing to take risks if you were willing to go and get resources below of the surface this is bad this is bad fired hardware you're dying and I'm dead I'm gonna die your body oh man oh did you get my stuff yeah I'm not going that ended up being wise master B's final lesson for me I was now on my own I had to fend for myself and I would use what he taught me to survive Oh lifesaver thank you listen to my jabbering about the resource gathering my never-ending stammering as I'm resource gathering Donna's beefs a mothering he's no longer smothering is just me mastering my lettering as I'm resource gathering but Nana nanana aha yep yep so that is the story everyone about how we ended up in this jungle incredible right what a journey it's been to get to this point amazing but we are just getting started so this is all the all the stuff we have right now it's not really enough we need more I would love to get to level 30 by today you know I would love to get our fortune three are still touch one those are the things you desperately need whenever you're starting out fresh on a server um maybe we'll talk about like why the jungle you know you know you know why right it's for the green grass obviously I really like the color of grass in the jungles it's the best I do not like all the trees though this might be my personal opinion but I always thought jungles would be a lot nicer if they had maybe like a quarter of the trees or maybe they had like these dense patches only in certain spots not like the whole thing it's like nothing but green right so I'm gonna be chopping down a bunch of these trees thin it out so we can actually appreciate the grass here um it's kind of a waste just to do it with iron next year I should try to get efficiency for Diamond Dax maybe to get us going here so I think I'm gonna go back to caving got a potater whoa where did they come from it's gotta be a spawner near here oh that's dangerous you know the poison thingies the things they stab you with and they give you the poison with whoa oh that's cute piece of that our health has recovered we're gonna we're gonna blitz it we're just gonna run in Oh ants are falling from the ceiling okay we got it lit up this looks sketchy over here for sure Oh creeper creeper creeper and then opens up another creeper times two we don't fight the creepers we let the creepers do their own thing oh look at this then I'm seeing some enchanted boughs and stuff over there yikes this is danger this is not a place to be okay we'll do it slow though we'll let them come to us huh we got like a bottomless pit nearby as well it's lovely more skeletons hiding in the shadows it's so easy to stay alive like with the food recovery though like it's I'm not too bad even in the worst of situations like this whoop okay this is a pretty cool mineshaft it looks like split in all sorts of directions yeah I watch it board nope not either gonna shoot the creeper towards me that was gonna be lights out all right well we did pretty good there again guys we mined for about an hour there and you know these goodies lots of iron lots of gold we did get three shiny rocks we got bit of lapis nametags pretty much used up that that diamond pick we had so that's no good that's not that's not what we want to see but order right here we got 25 leather 45 sugar chains so the big problem now is we don't have the bookshelves to get a level 30 enchantment even though we have the levels we have the materials I think we need late triple it's 45 that makes 15 bucks right we need like 45 bucks yeah I think we need triple ax so I'm gonna plant some of these reeds oh no no no no no no phantoms oh hey those are parents out in the water what are you guys doing out here you should be living in trees you know living it up you know maybe I'm just watching the sunset enjoying a cool cool dip you know after a long hot day I don't know doesn't seem right though I'm gonna I'm gonna look around maybe to try find some more towels because I don't think we have enough leather here oh this is actually really weird I don't know if I've ever seen a ship like this that's like out of the water there's a bunch of torches here so I'm guessing it's rated already but we'll check it out just in case if I can figure out how to suspicious dude really oh that's any good there's got to be another chest down here yeah here we go okay we got a buried treasure map awesome I I think I'm gonna look for that actually that's that could be fun I'm getting a little sidetracked from my mission here but it's all good I guess that makes sense right you can only look at the map when you're not rowing like if I hold for it it disappears at first it's like man this is kind of glitched out and then it's like wait actually you know that makes total sense is this fun and there's all these features in the game I like never use because like in my old world you know somebody's been here or have they they didn't really take anything like this hand and stuff is good right someone's been there right like it's lit up in there's torches yeah obviously if there was anything good in there like the nautilus shell and stuff it's gone somebody somebody yanked it oh it's not been raided okay or they didn't want the emeralds for some reason alright we'll take that that's cool I want try find another buried treasure now I was all excited that my heart was crushed there it's like ah it wasn't meant to be suspicious - should I try some of that stuff what's the worst that can happen I don't even know I think I think it blinds you right would it give me a night vision oh it's like a random effect that's right that's right that's that let's check this out oh we got another buried treasure okay awesome awesome oh why am i I forgot I'm so used to like you just you just have to be out of the water for a second and all your air bubbles come back but no you actually have to wait a while they slowly regenerate I'm not used to that for some reason okay is this the same treasure I think so it is okay we got to find a different one we got a guardian temple up over there but we are definitely not gonna be messing with that not quite ready for it oh we ran over one oh there's two together here actually oh well a guy with a trident could be bad could be bad curse the vanishing don't don't need that what kind of got stuck underneath there that was a little dangerous can I again the boat before they pop it on me here really oh they popped it no okay this could get bad cuz I probably can't escape now I need like a Dodge Oh you and just like that everybody we lost we lost most of our things ah 30 levels down the drain I knew once I heard that trident I should have should have be lined out of there because those guys are nasty if you don't have depth Strider they are pretty much a death sentence yep that's that's what did it Oh stuff floats I forgot about that that's wonderful oh my guess I thought like even if I got back to the spa's I'm never gonna be able to get it without drowning all right oh that's great I don't think I've ever died in the water like that so this is the first time like recovering my gear after a water death oh I'm so happy now that's gonna save a lot of time we lost our levels it's true that sucks we lost our our our innocence our first death you know but you know that was bound to happen eventually no he's back I'm just gonna I'm gonna cower I'm gonna okay maybe this was a bad idea I thought you know he was gone but he came back did I lose it already I don't even know how do we get out of here now he's got this pinned down should we just pill her up be professional do the tube tube method here it's probably the smartest it's trying alright we got a little back down get some air get the final suspicious scoot here this time we got weakness what I got puffer fish serious how do I get four fish here what about the training guy is he still around has the pufferfish over there I think you got nuked by one of the magma blocks probably yeah I'm gonna I'm gonna get out of here I think we aren't ready for this deep-sea diving stuff just yet I think I saw it tried and go flying by there okay yeah let's get out of there let's get out I'm just gonna go look for cows so somebody was here this isn't my stuff they left some barrels with TNT in I doubt this is someone's base like there's not enough stuff here alright there's a white bed uh-huh couple torches around but I think I'm okay to kill these cows I don't think they belong to anybody oh oh oh they're friends sir they're all good what's this cat doing here like that we're in the middle of nowhere there's no village right where did you come from I don't see a village yeah I don't know it's very strange anyways we are back at the base again here we got our ores cooking up we're gonna get a pretty good amount of experience from these I think we'll probably have to go to the nether and mined some quartz for the rest of it is probably the other fastest way of getting it was it room for gold yeah throw our gold in there we got 49 leather so that's enough we got 31 reeds right now let's go check out what's grown I pretty much planted all 45 of those here just to speed it up I'm gonna get what we can here and I'll probably make a portal now good stuff alright so I think we're about ready to go here I am going to make the bookshelves though before we take off just to make sure we got enough now we should should have plenty 30 books that's not enough wait a second I I guess I need more reeds it's fine they're still growing all right yeah we're shy a little bit here okay that's fine it's fine let's go to the nether yeah okay we got a we got backup pick them everything we got our flint and steel let's go check out the nether here it's our first trip in oh and a great great location to come out at lots of land we got courts right in front of us looks like some other people had been here not surprised yeah mining courts is like one of the best ways of getting experience early on in the game though you know a decent chunk plus it's something we need for observers and a whole bunch of other stuff too right so that did not last long all right it's fine it's horrible we gotta go we gotta go back home now and get a new pic that was our last one it's so tempting just to like try chill the pigment like I want to do it if it was a single player I would do it but I think if I I got to be careful because I think if I mess that up and they get aggressive they're gonna kill the next person that comes into the nether you know not just me all right as umas been busy here you know busy as a bee as he as he normally is he's got some redstone contraptions going on he's it he's given that wall a good stare down for sure yeah anyways I guess my portal doesn't take me back home it takes me here in front of me actually almost sit the Pigman there now that I think about it could have been bad I will go over the slime though that not a bad idea pretty close pretty close not enough okay find some more chords oh you gotta make my cubes head so I think they got a like there are some vanilla command block stuff running in the background just add a little bit more fun to the server I think like you have a one in a hundred and some chance of getting a a mob head if you kill him I don't know what the actual ratio is but it's very rare so that was a kind of crazy to get that on the first trial with this guy level 30 we did it those snappers okay let's get out of here it's still not enough dude I cannot count what oh I think I left them in here that's why ah yeah so we're finally ready here to do some big enchantments this is this is where things really count so we need efficiency for or we need fortune is like the dream if we get something loyalty you know let's put the pig in there so okay we're guaranteed efficiency for so that's great fortune 3 I couldn't man I could not ask for much better than that like you could have got an unbreaking but man getting that the those two combo together at the start is amazing like those are the two big things you want and we got them all on one pick alright so I'm not gonna do anything crazy here like I normally prefer to go caving over like branch mining but now that we got the pick I think we should do a little bit of branch mining just to get our resources a little bit higher just in case you know I lose it caving or something that would really really set me back and make me feel bad so I'm gonna be very careful see what we get here get get some coal get some redstone all the goodies you know he says that and then he goes to the mineshaft as soon as he finds one I don't know this is so much more fun and it's it's way quicker to get stuff if you're if you're caving branch winding gets boring creating quickly look at all this redstone this is amazing this is this is what we're looking for okay so another big thing we're gonna want to get a beacon up as soon as possible as well so let's get all the iron all the gold we can all right we used up half of the pick already you know it's getting worn down but we got a lot of good use out of it already lots of redstone lots of lapis lots of iron lots of everything 36 blocks of iron to finish off here we got more cookin should be able to get to 33 levels I think with that as well so we can do two more enchantments to finish up here we got the 22 blue shinies as well with our fortune pick I'm gonna want an axe I'm gonna want more picks shovel eventually let's see booty's gotta get our booties DEP Strider man it's a always a real treat when you get that okay what should we go for here let's figure it out so piercing we're not gonna take that we're gonna could be good efficiency for is what that says that's gonna be efficiency for yeah I think we'll go for because it doesn't say like fortune or so clutch or anything I think I'll put it on the axe cuz I do want to get that hots fortune wasted it oh that could have been great you get a second one you know right away it's fine though okay let's get thirty again we'll do one more enchantment here this time we have the option of flame not gonna take that we have fortune - okay maybe I'm breaking I usually don't pick the boots unless I see dip Strider or at least protection for I think I might go for the pic edition c3 yeah it's not great but you know just in case we lose the one we'll have a backup but anyways guys I think it's about time we wrap up for this episode we got a bunch of resources though to get us started on the hermit craft server here so I'm happy about that you know I really like to just get our tools sorted out to begin with I think it's very important it speeds up everything once you get your efficiency and then getting a beacon early is really great too I don't know if I'll rush that but probably start building next episode I don't have a super duper building plan in mind I have a rough idea we're gonna be building the monstrosity to begin with here basically it's gonna be like a little bit von sway but probably a lot uglier than what you're used to I just want to build like a big crazy base a lot of like chaos and mystery to it I want when like people come over to visit I want them to be like what was he thinking you know that's the plan with this first build something easy to build they don't have to put a lot of thought into that can we expand it easily I do want to like goof around on the server a bit too I'll probably poke around and see what other people are up to and try get involved but yeah I think that's gonna do it for this one so hopefully you enjoyed it hopefully you're excited for this season and until next episode thank you for Super fun whenever you see Etho doing new interesting things. The edited narration at the beginning was a great. Really looking forward to this and hope he gets up to those good old Etho SMP shenanigans.

It's been too long since we've had the privilege to enjoy Etho playing SMP. Theres a lot of interactions I'm looking forward to. Of course there's the old gang of Bdubs Doc and Beef, but Etho definitely needs to meet up with Grian as well. Love the possibilities a new season provides.
