Chicago you know his work ethic and what he did was unbelievable so it was pretty awesome to grow up in that era welcome to the National Football League's 61st annual college player selection draft back in 1996 when going through the whole draft process and the I thought I was either going to Cleveland where I was going to the Pittsburgh Steelers so I sat in cowers office all day and they're looking for a big back type of guy but again you know they found another great man when they get a load of me shake some up like I'm drinking my beer sitting there going what the heck's going on of sudden I get phone call 10 minutes later and it's like all right cool Tony Dungy said you really liked the all-star kidney think they want to see what he can do but it started out slow well it's never the first string tailback you're gonna be you're gonna transition to fullback and I just I knew if I got my opportunity at the NFL level good I'd be able to show my skills and be able to do some different things gopher looking downfield now set us for a wall start out on the backfield breaks a tackle still say it's the first down up to the 30 I mean this guy when he breaks into the open field he doesn't look for daylight he looks for a jersey gopher a quarter he will play X and perhaps the throws the ball in his clock and all-star would not be tonight first career NFL touchdown the best thing ever kid from Chicago living my dream and in sport that's not yeah can't get any better different comes out trolling and there's his favorite target order one all-time great success news outlets let's talk to the three two one play fake here's the pass I think that's why I'm so fortunate to play in the era at a time we did and be able to help change this organization raise the battle flag them and they pounded at him and they pounded Adam and they finally broke them now we beat them and that was when it all changed right then in there so far they've been able to answer the bell one of the important homes away is his addition out to the bikes they've been able to to greet and defeat and win the game they're rolling with moss Carter Cunningham they're doing their thing and they're coming in our house and we need the win it was a must-win for us and our strength has run the ball [Applause] but a big crunchy day for the Buccaneers of [Applause] before close down the game the opportunities really great and that's where that's where I come in effect [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I don't care if you're tired I don't care whatever it takes I was not going to come off the field until the job was accomplished that's second down and five at the Denver 27 yard line don't lay hand off all [Applause] [Music] I don't know when they're gonna come my opportunities so you make get back in the game and just one thing I ran to the right and if you don't wrap up I'm gonna continue to run and figure out where to go and off all style running right Paul Scott shakes the tackle shakes and bakes a [Applause] [Music] but they forgot is that all stop is more than a power back he's a fact that can change direction and find the endzone whatever it took if I had to go through someone or any go around someone you know I was gonna do my job here's the come on and get some don't forget shred a bit too all start with room smoothly goes to the endzone touchdown run over or around head to neck roll I thought the neck will help me a little bit but the bigger shoulder has this worth protecting me I actually had foam inside him even the helmet I wore my helmet it was like 20 pounds I had the full high-top shoes I wore combat boots basically that was me that's what I liked and that's what I wanted the game has changed we've changed you know the approach has changed and that's why I'm so blessed to get to play in the air I did done [Applause] work is between the tackles type of runner here's an outside guy he can catch the ball he's a real deal I think we just gelled and you know with each other in different situations but you know we're both competitive to human nature we want to do the best we want to be the best and and that's what we want to do for our team [Applause] all stop he's healed felon Johnson bans the ball off a train breaks a tackle 135 tee shot at Ocean see the eyes are looking at the goal line he's looking for a white shirt to run through if there's signature stuff of me is like hey wrap up on me and you know let's go for a ride you know it's not I'm gonna continue my ride roughly 26 this time to hand off of the eighth-ranked Wiggles his way tight so we decide [Applause] the 32 again [Applause] we got to practice doing things right all the time little things on details Dungey is Dungey nobody's gonna replace coach Dungy toy different styles coach Dungy is what molded us what made us coach Gruden then he brings a little spark come on Marc Casey get your ass in here you know he brought a great system in and got something for us some great players in and we started rolling afternoon game in rayj in Tampa it's hot I got an opportunity to carry the ball and really know where to go you have one leg and all of a sudden they come and hit me set off the tackle kicks his weight for some he's pulling on the ball and somebody hits me again and that guy falls off [Applause] I don't know they helped me more than I helped myself I guess entire they did Cleveland had a piece of them and good and bring it down an all-stock gets the call [Applause] Johnson steps up the all stop all stop fail touchdown I don't know where it came from it's really a distinctive stuff it just happened [Music] [Applause] [Music] home games from San Francisco we have the flags waving right and it is it is worn 44 inches for touchdown the snap touchdown Warren Sapp the lady blocker and the score first at six nothing a yard away second down and goal Mike Alstott gets the ball runs left touchdown Tampa Bay again we 27 we do what we're supposed to do right and why so we can have another crack at Philly the friendly City has been unkind to our Tampa Bay Buccaneers cold are we ever gonna win and cold you know all the things are being brought up it was coming down to who is gonna make it play go Mike hit it Mike [Applause] outside touch them [Applause] huge relief off the shoulders right hearing no noise in a lot of stadiums ever airs on champions of the USA how about that red and Peter now standing there and a lot of green walking away Super Bowl 37 it is Tampa Bay versus the Oakland Raiders Super Bowl when yard line this is all everything I've worked for I have to be successful my mind my biggest takeaway my career first and foremost I live my dream and when you talk about what I miss I missed that locker room I was one of the guys the hell do things for this organization that we'll never forget and that's what I'm very grateful about
