channel look at that absolute unit guys a little bit of weird weather today by the way that thing's all-wheel drive which is super cool but uh we're ready to go we're heading out of the hotel right now we got to stop get some pump gas snack some ice for ourselves and uh tom but weather's a little funky so let's hit the track hopefully guy runs in we have to make two passes today before we can depart for the next track we gotta run hard you know we want to have a good average time to start the week so i have no idea how fast the cars are that are in our class which is the small block modified power adder class we got power adders obviously there's no hot now they're sticking out the hood but uh not sure what these guys are gonna be running so kevin and i just kind of have to watch the class and put ourselves in a position to win and we'll see how that goes time to make some noise there's them turbos they still spin [Music] [Music] dude about a seven minute drive from the hotel so i'm pretty impressed we got a little rain on the windshield too wow yeah a little bit of a drizzle came through we got race cars everywhere the diver's meeting is in a little bit everyone's changing tires it's gonna be sick good morning we uh got a little bit of rain coming through so we're just enjoying some donuts in the vehicle in this luxurious vehicle the luxury is real it's a little early for this hey we got to go fast i mean i agree so we ran 17 pounds of boost when we went that 7-9 yep and that was um i think 25 or eight commanded on the dome oh so i bumped her to 38. that's a big fireman yeah so that might be around at half second 25 pounds of boost or so yeah so between a half and i would expect it's probably twenty three twenty three twenty five for five okay but yeah so between half a second and nine tenths that's where it's going to be oh here we go and then we're locking the overdrive too at 140 so that we don't gear out before the quarter mile let me check that we haven't locked the overdive on purpose during the pass yet but they are rated to do that up to about 2 000 horsepower so we geared the car to run just short of the quarter mile and then the overdrive helps it get through the quarter mile yep the idea with that is it'll run harder through the eighth mile yeah with the more the gearing that it's got in it because eventually i mean this thing should go 155 today tomorrow 155 that'd be great 160-ish on the back tires oh that's the best oh by the way we got to set the front travel limiters yes all right guys we got a driver's meeting but we're going to scope out these all aluminum bleachers big steel frame obviously but very nice little ramp they got here oh yeah dang really nice stuff see i like how they have fully sealed off bleachers like ours so nothing can really get through yeah i don't know how they'll go hook on that might need to be cleaned up yeah hopefully they get it with his backrest that is so cool well they have taken bacon on a stick oh crop duster he's having way more fun though what are you doing here dude oh i'm driving an ice cream truck i heard i heard you got a brake job done oh kind of ish everything i have does not break so i wasn't really concerned about it but my passengers dude these are sweet yeah man hey i gotta get one of them yeah that's fancy it's a little chilly you didn't trailer yeah the parachutes wouldn't work good oh yeah am i pulling both parachutes this time should we leave the pin in one i think i don't think we need it unless we're going like two hundo all sticking on it yeah it's gonna have to get sticking but they're drying it still a little bit of rain can really crush the track got a really nice service concrete too freaking awesome i would do a 7.67 damn 767 i just heard it oil pressure is bent oh it threw the belt again thank you 767 at 182 498 let's go freaking love this car dude let's go 492. yeah [Music] yeah freaking alternator belt though all right so guys we're looking super clean under here not seeing much oil i smell a little bit of oil but that might be normal uh this is this freaking belt man at least it stayed on but he's chucking the belt and that thing's gnarly i'm pretty sure that thing's on nitro it sounds insane give me the numbers how much boost 23.6 all right we got number five here kevin likes it a little bit fat and uh he says he likes timing mark so you can see the timing mark right there up on the top of the strap so it looks good so guys we very well may run into an issue here trying to go real real fast because we're out of front suspension uh i guess tightness what would you call it the extension of the shock kevin asked me to add two clicks to the front it went one click and stopped so we cannot basically slow down the front end from rising as fast as it is anymore like it's as tight as it can be so we need to get those revalved little adjustments inside might limit us a little bit but that's that's probably from when we're going for 16 like yeah i'll have to read it we're running out of chassis that's crazy we weren't hitting the step until 9 10 so i backed that up to eight tenths oh so i left the 38 there because i didn't want to change too much right around that because that's the sensitive part of the run yeah and then now beyond 8 10 she's got an extra seven psi dome on her which should be another four pounds of boos past 25 pounds yeah finally dude you know what's funny is i pulled the one shoot and i was only going well 182 yeah 182. but the car has such better aerodynamics so like it wasn't slowing down and i was like what the heck dude right now megan's left off and it loses like did you throw the shoe manually i threw it okay yeah it goes out so fast like i pull the handle and it's out like leroy it's like dangling back there and then jumping around it goes out so it's just different what'd you guys think pretty good nice little rip right off the bat bass number two coming at you guys see if we can uh go 50s or better so the channel record for like our cars ruby is i think a 55 or 53 somewhere in that range so i mean there's a chance we can squeeze by that right now but if not today hopefully before the end of the week [Music] hey oh well that's not good that sound good the uh overdrive didn't kick off which possibly means it broke thank you thank you oh i got you all right thank you hey it's going faster 760 flat with me letting out damn 489 in the eighth stillway breakers bastard i don't know what to say i mean maybe it geared out i don't know it didn't feel like it like shifted third so so guys the el camino will not back up so even with it off in neutral we can't it won't go backwards at all goes forward that's right so we don't really have an explanation for this but the wheel goes forward doesn't go backwards so we're trying to figure that out so guys unfortunately we commanded the overdrive to turn on and we toasted it we think so we're about to pull the drive shafts and get under there and try and uh see if we can pull your vendor out and put this there i ordered a spare because knowing that we ran ours without the fluid in it i mean we're pretty sure it might have already been on its way out before we even started using it so we're going to uh go ahead and probably have to swap it but we'll make sure it's not the rear end because it could be oh guys remember the gear vendor we forgot to pull it in the oil that's now in it looks bad like really bad so i'll go ahead and take the blame for it because that fluid's in bad shape we probably should have changed it realistically but yeah after the first run we're gonna wiggle it out of the car put our spare in and take off take off for the next track yep yeah we're pretty happy with our time so yeah you got a nice uh stripe down your arm there what color the fluid is now yeah it's in my heartbeat dude all right it's coming though look at that flute dude that's pretty bad it's pretty oh there we go we're going racing brother whoa kevin come on i'm hungry hey you got straight car stuff to do hey so we freaking put the gear vendor in the new one and i left the old gasket in it so i get all the way in all the way done a bunch of gear oil in my hair and the freaking gasket was bad obviously which i knew there's new gasket in the box so got it in for the second time with the new gasket it's not leaking kevin's buttoning up some of the lines down there how's it going buddy good just the cross member bolts and working on this nice piece of cardboard you got enough gear oil on your hair or you want me to um yeah definitely so we're very dirty but we uh we're ready to drive what did we go a 767 and a 760. so we will be turning in those two slips and that'll be a 763 or something like that and the best news i have for the day is that rick from gear vendors is overnighting a new overdrive to us because he's like oh you got to have a spare just in case even though we screwed the first one up and we have our spare right now he said i'll send you one so you guys have one freaking awesome dude taking care of his drag weakers we're pretty good so we got to pop the belt back on because it came off again we kind of scoped out that the alternator might just need to be tweaked a little bit all right moment of truth as if the el camino backs up now after a couple hours of working on it [Music] [Music] fire me up boys we're good and we got everything packed up took some pictures with some great people and we are now hooking up our cool shirts i didn't look bring mine oh you got yours on i'll get it when we get to the gas station we can't go too far we're gonna need fuel you know though we gotta pull up here and uh turn in our slope all right yeah so modified small block power rider there we are 760 and a 767. decent start all right guys so with every one of these drag week type deals you have to drive a certain route and we have just one checkpoint on this drive and the first one for us is profiler performance products in new carlisle ohio and after that we will be going straight to edgewater sports park so and uh we'll be racing there tomorrow i'm pretty happy with turning in a 763 i mean i've never even turned in a seven second slip on any of these drag weeks or race weeks so first day that's the first time out of two i can't believe we went faster on the pass where we broke something well i can't wait to actually spend some time in that data because i spiced her up a little indulge in the data yeah i wonder how much boost it was because it did feel oh shoot it went 150 today that's did it go 150 mile an hour yeah oh fresh all right [Music] all right guys we're looking pretty freaking good everything's holding down perfectly friends have 150 with the trailer we're only doing like 50 60 right now because we're on the back roads but all um [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] last time it was at 10 we had like a third of a tank but we've only got 20 miles to go and we're probably getting [Music] oh we made it 20 more miles on zero we might need some calibration yeah we'll have that on these big jobs our checkpoint's just a couple miles ahead of us we're almost there all right guys we made it to profiler and they are a machine shop for cylinder heads yeah it makes them awesome you were excited to here oh yeah let's go check it out so while it's running good it hasn't burned the paint yeah yeah you all cast it here too yeah dang that's freaking cool intakes cylinder heads whoa fire me out whoa serious that's some big um why did i drive so fast here i have regrets when i let off we're done [Music] oh no come on 15 psi thank you holly loop direction that's all we need there we go we're going uphill now that's in the back of the tank oh no there's no gas in that first boat this one's not oh it's got a bag over it ah there is come on frank now we're stuck i right there you have it she's full now that was uh 13.8 gallons 50 bucks and how many miles was that kevin like i think it was 180. that's awesome that's pretty awesome well guys that was our last stop we got about an hour to get to uh edgewater ohio for 60 miles all right guys that's a wrap for the day huh dude look at that thing a couple fresh rock chips uh we're gonna grab some spaghetti do some editing at dinner so we got like 20 miles tomorrow at edgewater motorsports park where we will be racing again two hits and then we have to drive all the way to indianapolis and we'll be racing at lucas oil raceway which we were just there for gleason cars but uh it's going good we got done with our check mics for the day we're gonna get some sleep like i said edit here spaghetti factory and
