TX2K21 Day 3 - Mistakes Were Made... Ruby SLAMS Down From a HUGE Power Wheelie!

removed so we got rats straps we put some weight up here and what about the tune up same um no we're going to leave on more but drag it out for almost a whole half second to a second before it starts to ramp and hopes it just kind of gets the wheel speed up all right power comes in all right cool all right so guys leroy is just hiding now and then uh dubs nova he just tuned her up a little more that thing's pretty much maxed out how much boost are you running in the nova 42 42 yeah let's probably about there we're not leaving a lot on the table we gotta use it final round we will all right so doug is qualified number three now two wow nice so doug's number two and uh holding strong i think and then guys ruby's got like a seven eight tune in there i'm just trying to get her to go a to b we've been having problems every single run so uh just hoping we can get her to make a good hit what's your strategy for this here you know i said as long as i have some sort of a hood i'm thinking about making it so it can open you know like almost like a lambo door for hoods it's like a lambo hood yeah so you can access you know spark plugs things like that also it's flammable which is cool in travel they have no shock your shock can't travel anymore so when it came down it compressed so hard to just pogo step back up so i took those off so this way it's more forgiving on the car then i also took seven pounds of boost out of the leaves oh wow three pounds of boost it took my like second and a half ramp and made it four seconds wow and then i changed all the rear shocks are in a new location news and then doug is just doing doug stuff doug did doug stuff and changed everything on his car as well all right at least they look good all right we're out here looking good they'll not be the fastest but we're looking good that's right girl dude 180 dude just warms my heart warms my heart and this one got turned up yep three pounds i think this thing's gonna go 490. it's gonna go 490 like the next hit they see it all right listen guys i'm sorry my voice is cooked from uh hanging out talking to people but the deal is we don't need to run leroy but we're doing it it's leroy's people's champ so we're gonna try and run a 490 in the eighth which will be like a 760 750 maybe and uh i really want to do it so even though it's just qualifying we already qualified really good we're going to send it for a 490. let's see what happens and then we're running ruby again how much would we turn around three four pounds oh my gosh smoking but we're going for that 490. the weather is too good too perfect if it breaks it breaks you know what because uh leroy's the people's champ they all want to see them run they've been here all day waiting and we're gonna do it we're gonna make it happen [Music] come on foreign let's go again guys i think we got a major engine issue i mean it still runs but some is not happy it fell down on power and also the one collector was like glowing red highlight normal this one not quite red hot at all all right let's see what it ran it still felt good but it wasn't faster there's no way it was faster yeah 786 129 to the 60 foot oh i don't know it still went 181 but it doesn't feel right all right so like i say guys we turned ruby up a couple pounds of boost earlier about four pounds boost more so we'll see how she does i'm hoping it doesn't wheelie so bad but i didn't do anything to try and change that so we will see guys james had another injector freaking lock up we had to talk about it or we're not going to talk about it the car's fine all day pulling the lanes and sai my buddy comes up he's like hey man you're leaking i thought he just messed with me because he was like kind of like a joke of me i'm like no that's fine because no you're really legal water hung open get out with underneath the car and out of the deep end boom the entire other side projector just the other bank the entire all form that's so i just ripped them all out and just serviced them all put a man in it big injector guy now you know my only concern is i don't have time to change the oil when i didn't lose about three quarters of a gallon of methanol it'll be fine we're not gonna we're not gonna talk about the scratch this is getting replaced uh this is why it's my roof this is my new roof and you threw it because your roof well uh i broke the oil pan pretty badly so no i don't all right dude i don't like wheelies anymore smash the oil pan oh biscuits spicy yeah you went 176 miles an hour that's cool she's gonna cry i mean we just gotta get some weight on the nose and you're good yeah yeah i brought it down soft i knew the second left is so i brought it down right away as fast as i could just grab this scramble too late oh man you wanna look at this sub frame looks good oh we could probably weld that james you're probably right yeah you're right looking well done just probably split on the front edge yeah where they fold up yeah yeah we can uh we pop it off the weld in the morning pull it off and get it soaking in you know what and he didn't oil change anyway that's one way to change it leave it on the track it's fine well guys we were having a fuel pump issue and i was worried that we were gonna have to pop the hood but uh we were able to fix the problem so now the only other issue is the oil pan which i found a welder for so in the morning we will weld and if the welder falls through we will jb yeah i mean it's honestly it's probably the hood's aerodynamics that really threw the whole balance of the car off hot air i mean on top tier radio cars they'll tend to blow over when they get air stuck up underneath and what do we got here radials and a top tier car yeah all right we're gonna end it off
