Michael Keaton's Thoughts on "Batman" After He Left | Late Night with Conan O’Brien

you know we uh we talked briefly once we we you know we met met at the uh White House they had it they gathered all the uh Irish Catholic people in America they could who were in entertainment and made them come right and they said all those without guilt and there were like four people still they all had to clear out yeah but I I uh I was I was curious I know you're you're Catholic right yeah did you go to Catholic school because because I went to um I went up to eighth grade oh because I never had that intense I had I went to a public school system but it you know everybody went but your family was Irish and yeah they were pretty hardcore Irish craft yeah so yeah so you kind of know it was like in fact listen to this thing that happened the other day I'm pulling in I had to go see uh my back worked on by this physical therapist every once when I'm running late and I pull in and I see pulling right next to me I swear to God this little car with a little nun in it and she gets out at the exact same time and I'm thinking would it be funny if you know she was going to say but she goes we walk into the the you know for to the physical therapist place at the same she's going to have her back worked on I don't know if she's like in a basketball leg or what you know like I don't know how she threw it but she we go in and it turns out we had the same appointment I swear to God we had the same appointment and she's and I'm thinking oh man you know I'm in a hurry and I really got to go to do this because I got another appointment after that and I'm thinking what do I do what would you have done would you have bumped her I would have said he'll check the nine yeah so sorry none but I'm first uh no we're actually wrestled for the appointment did you yeah no you got to let the nun go oh you have to doubt you do yeah without a doubt you do do you have a fear of none some people that go to the Catholic schools as well intentioned as they are they start to fear the nun figure in the black and white a lot of them like don't die like they just won't die they live for like ever yeah you know what I mean there's I swear to God there's another she's a wonderful woman and and she's still alive she was like 170 when she was teaching me and she's so close to me when I got home that you know we had some I am the undead we had some you know I had there were some not some really you know they were great they were really wonderful people but there were some badass nuns who taught me I mean like like it was but they announced that they were a badass man that would let you know by kicking your ass you know by by and and this is a true story we we uh I had a friend who was kind of uh he was a bad kid you know he was like one of those guys was a year older than everybody else you know he was in in and out of trouble that's this is a true story and he was he was in the bathroom one day getting in trouble and she kind of had it when she come to the front of class and she said I'm not gonna say the guy's name because you know I'm sure he's got a like a successful practice somewhere now he could have called me up and sue me but he's like my buddy and she starts getting mad at him she boom she whacks him this kid's like 13 14 years old I swear to God and he goes boom it hits her back and they're throwing Mike and the nun are like boom nobody foreign [Applause] [Laughter] measures it opens uh tomorrow everywhere right and people should go out and check out this film and just quick what do you think of these uh Batman movies after you left Batman you did Batman one and two yeah right but then I have a quick bone to pick before we go I think then they introduce I mean and Chris O'Donnell I think he's really good actor but they introduce Robin and stuff and I think it starts to get kind of silly again yeah I didn't see him I mean I only saw like bits and you're booing also Robin not that I said anything bad about Robin uh I only saw little bits and pieces of the uh the third fourth one you know not not I just never got around to doing them you know just checking them out because I you never even go see them no I swear to God and it's not like well I'm not gonna assume I just never got around to see him I mean I was once in a theater watching a movie with my kid and then I ran next door because I knew it was next door and I ran and watched a couple minutes and kind of nodded off and then went back [Applause] yeah yeah next one he battles a nun so you should check it out uh Michael Keaton thanks so much for coming on the program we got the three members of the offensive line for the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos they're coming right up we'll take a break
