Metal Detecting The Sight Of A Deadly Civil War Battle! *Chilling Discovery*

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] what's going on everybody welcome back to another brand new video of depths of history today's video is going to be a little bit different as i'm actually on land today i'm in northern georgia actually near dalton georgia and there was actually a huge civil war battle that actually took place here i'm with one of my friends actually riley bryant he's back in the field over there but we're going to be doing some metal detecting today and search for civil war treasure now there's actually stories of treasure that was once hidden inside the actual mountain in the caves that surrounds this property i'm not really sure if that's true but today we're actually going to be going around and search for not only civil war relics but hopefully to find that potential treasure as well the landowner actually told me that this whole area was bombarded by union and confederate soldiers back during the civil war so there's really no telling what we'll be able to find i'm super excited to take you guys along but with that said let's get over to riley and see if he's found anything yet and guys i mean as you can see this property is so beautiful there's so much area to search all around here and it's incredible because we're going to be able to search all this property today and then there's also another property that we're going to be able to go to riley what do you think we're gonna find today man hopefully a big pile of confederate pike riley and i have been metal detecting in the past and we've actually found union plates confederate plates a bunch of bullets and uh crazy stuff riley actually just got done recently he was in corinth mississippi and you found some really cool stuff to you know yeah a bunch of cannonballs and a bunch of fragments and yeah some really cool stuff so we're looking forward to hopefully today find some really cool civil war relics but with that said let's get the metal detector and see what we can get let's go all right so this is my gear that we have today i've obviously got this really nice shovel that i'm going to be using it's a lesh t-handle shovel it's a little digger it's a really good one i've also got a pouch here that i'm going to be using to collect all the trash or anything that i find and with that i also have the technetix tech point pin pointer which i'm going to be using once i get into the holes today and it's going to help me scan around there for everything that i find and here's the metal detector i'm going to be using it's actually a technetix t2 plus and it's a great metal detector for finding really anything from coins to jewelry silver and more it's a great great machine highly recommend it so with that said you guys are gonna head in the field and see what we can find it's gonna be a great day so all these nails and different iron targets and things like that actually give us a clue that there probably was an old home site in this area which could hold some pretty cool stuff well guys look at this first cool find right here i just got a horseshoe and it looks like pretty old one that's a pretty nice find huh gave a really good iron signal on that uh t2 and looks like we're in the right area so we're gonna have to keep going this way but uh that's a pretty cool first find we're gonna keep going over this way i mean this just tells you that digging the iron sometimes is good i got some sort of like old hook here not really sure what this is if you guys have any ideas definitely let me know down in the comments but some sort of old oxidized and rusted j-hook of some sort but uh not too bad let's keep swinging looks like we gotta cross this little creek right here oh my gosh there's so many thorns and vines now we can go up on this ridge and hopefully we'll get some cool stuff riley's already got a bullet so we do know that we are in the right area there it is and it's a bottle cap yeah that's a good signal the riley's got a signal down there and we think it might be a civil war bullet you think so yeah yep oh look at that it is is that dropped no that's fire yeah that is so cool man look at that wow nice fired bullet from the american civil war riley just got it this sandy soil make these makes these bullets look really cool yeah they're nice nice man hey kia let's keep on going see if we can find some more dang ground ball too that's awesome you're putting on the shovel oh man that is so cool it could be case shot actually it looks like it's got some iron on it it could be case shot oh yeah it might be kind of shocked well if it's a shot that means there could be a few shells yep yeah it's a good sign so guys i was getting ready to walk out of here but you guys can see all throughout here there's a bunch of brick and like a piece where there's an old foundation right there so this is definitely an old home site but i think we're going to go to a different spot it's still pretty cool though all right change of pace everybody we actually made it into the woods and i'm digging up a signal right now that sounds like a bullet potentially ew it's a modern bullet train in the distance all right you guys so i've got a signal right in this little pocket right here and it's registering as a bullet so we're gonna check it and see hey look at that that is a fired civil war bullet right there first one of the day looks like it hit something really really hard but that is a cool find you can see the base right there and three rings on there very cool find i'm not sure if you guys can hear it but right next to that other one right in this hole sounds like there's probably another bullet yep look at that right there it's another one fired super super hard oh my goodness you can see the three rings on it right there yep that's exactly what that is fired civil war bullet number two so we have to see if we can get anything else i don't know if you guys can see that right there but you guys can see the three rings that's another fired civil war bullet that is awesome riley how many are you up to now just one look at that man number three sweet riley's saying that he has a bullet but he's freaking out for oh my god look at that thing literally turn into a pants oh my gosh [Music] that hit so hard look at that it's a three ringer for sure yeah that's awesome man that's crazy i think there's a bullet right here behind this tree is that it right yeah yeah it is oh beauty it's a three ringer beauty check that out see the three rings on that side and then it hits something unlike the back of it that's it's a cool fine man my first kind of complete bullet of the day all these have been like super smashed up oh my gosh there's another bullet right there oh my word check that out it's like the end of a three-ringer right there it's been fired definitely you can see the rings right there super cool man riley said he basically has a bullet right on top of the ground yeah you can see there's a little piece of the lead right there wow gosh that thing is hard oh my gosh wow look at that man yep you guys can see it plain as day another three rings three rings you see the mold seam on it after being fired that's pretty cool that's cool oh look at that a nice three ringer look at that man that thing almost doesn't even look fired nice there we go sounds like it could be a bullet right there you guys look there it is right there another fired three ringer from the american civil war these are all super super mangled up i'm actually going to do a close-up of everything that i find today but we are metal detecting a super historic battle so you never know this could have struck and killed a confederate soldier or it could have just whizzed past through and hit a tree you never know with these that's why it's super cool to find these pieces of history can i see your mercury dom look at that that's nice another one yeah look it's a three ringer another one super super fired and mangled that's about what we're finding today look riley he got lucky today man he found this really nice 1918 and it's a denver mint mark uh mercury dime so i'm gonna get a close-up of that that's a really cool find riley and uh it's cool to be able to find some silver and some civil war bullets so we're in a good area man yeah we're gonna keep walking this way there's actually another hillside over this way that i want to check out all right so riley and i have gotten into this section of woods here and uh we've been focusing on this lower portion right here because we've actually found um close to about like probably 20 or 30 bullets between all of us at least yeah at least if not more and we're kind of focusing on this little upper area of the ridge over here because we think that uh if they're firing bullets i mean in this one area right here there's a ton of them i think that this place has been hit before i think definitely someone has been yeah for sure i mean this stuff is way too spread out for it to you know have not been hunted before so we're gonna continue up the ridge hopefully we'll find something cool but i appreciate you guys watching and uh let's go get it yep i do too wow look at that yeah i just got one too another 58 caliber three ringer oh i just lost it again forever whoa [Music] i know right it happens riley oh dude that is crazy that's insane look at that yeah that is pretty cool must have died here jeez that is wow it's pretty crazy all right everybody so we got to get out of here it's starting to get sunset and it's going to get really dark here soon probably within the next 10 to 15 minutes so we're gonna go ahead and hike up and get out of here and we're going to show you guys what we found it was a really good day today all right [Music] time to see everything that we've found today at least the good finds anyways so 15 bullets not too bad so with that you guys it was a very good hunt uh 15 bullets there got a horseshoe and some sort of hook but i want to see what riley found today oh man you only got six bullets yeah i'm just kidding oh look at that okay it's that's that's just the beginning this is probably double that still in my pocket jeez is that it no oh my goodness you have so many bullets man look at look at that one mushroom bullet oh yeah these are from the other site you can tell because of the patina man i got one in my box that's that little flattened out oh that real flattened out one yeah yeah there's the williams club that's a cool one i like that one 36 bullets jeez
