Megadeth's Dave Mustaine on the Musicians He Admires

hi this is dave mustaine from Megadeth and you are watching Loudwire there there's a lot of people there deceased I have found a very peculiar affinity for Baldy I don't know where they came from but there's just a shred factor to that guy I think if he would have been playing a Dean with a distortion pedal on it you know he'd probably be an Megadeth and there are some other people that are alive that that do some really weird exotic chords that I like like crowded house have some really interesting poppy weird kind of jazzy chords underneath the music and it really interesting I think musical approach so you know Megadeth is a lot of melody which I think sets us apart from a lot of the other metal bands and you got to really know how to do that and by having good influences that it's much more possible you know being a big Beatles and liking Cat Stevens when I was a kid stuff like that that helps you become I think a better songwriter especially you know the British Invasion affected me a lot with the Beatles you know loved the walking bass line under the stationary guitar parts and stuff and those guys used a lot of crazy guitar chords too you you
