alright guys so we're here we just we finally hung those 4 inch 4 foot long bronze shop lights from Harbor Freight the problem is we got them up and I'll let you guys judge before we go on I'll let you guys judge how the light is so these are my normal lights in the ceiling right so we're gonna go ahead and turn those off and I'll be sagging on my grow light guys you know I have my grow light so grow lights set up over there so we're gonna turn one light on then we're gonna turn the other one on so as you guys can see I'm gonna back up the lights are on and literally they are super super bright like I stated in the other video I knew once we got them up on the ceiling I mean there's not an inch of this garage that you cannot see there's no doubt about it I can see everything in this garage now so now my next problem is let's take a look at that the mom of the guys can you see it you see it not sure he agreed is 91 degrees in my garage guys 91 degrees so what are we gonna do we got to figure out a plan to get this garage a little cooler so this this episode this video is not necessarily about my lights because they look amazing guys absolutely amazing but next step we gotta cool this garage down that fan is not working we'll be back in a little bit and check out what we're gonna do alright guys we got the fix 91 the reason the garage went ahead and picked up these matador garage door installation kits from Home Depot this is not responsive video from matador oil home depot which is checking it out see if it works let's cool down this garage a little bit cuz 91 degrees for me it's too hot alright so we're gonna check these out and I got a I pulled out a board pulled out one of these planks boards whatever you want to phone so as you guys can see it's got a real nice finish on the inside and then on the back side so you got these they're already quarter corrugated cuts almost through the board so real easy to cut and snap and I gotta cut all these I gotta cut them all down they give you a lot extra then the size of my door I don't know you know all doors are different I'm sure so this door we're gonna go ahead and cut these up put them in and hope you guys enjoy the process all right so before we go ahead and get started I want to give you guys a little test run you know a matador insolation dork it also states that excuse me also states that you know required at the door now so let's go ahead and give you guys a picture of how loud this door is when it when when you're opening it up so we have a large bonus room above the garage so you know you can hear it upstairs very loud also so we're gonna go ahead and give you a little test run [Music] and we're gonna go ahead and get started with these panels and then we'll do another test lawn lady to see how quiet the door is let's see if this product really works alright so we're gonna go ahead and get started with these first 8 pounds or idea now what you're going to need is metal edge ruler to make my lines nice and straight I have a razor blade a measurement tape and a pencil alright so I went ahead and cut this first one and I'll show you guys what I did inside [Music] don't be afraid to push down on guys it's 40 it takes 44 pounds it says it takes 44 pounds for these things across so don't be afraid to manhandle the thing in there they go in real easy you know as long as you as long as you measure it up real good you will not have a problem so my my my top to bottom measurement it fits in my panels perfectly it's just a long part of it you just got to cut them down and it works real easy so we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna go ahead and finish up this whole eight pieces right here you alright guys so on is the bottom four on each door I also picked up reach barrier it's brought your installation kit also this one has to do reviews and you can seems like it's real thin it's really thin but I put the first panel up I just want to see how it look so on the bottom four on each door because you know as the Sun rises it hits the bottom doors a lot more so this car door faces the Sun I didn't mention that earlier but that's the way the Sun literally beats on this front door all day long so we're gonna go ahead and try the difference between the two and then later on I'll get a I'll get a heat gun and we're gonna test the top version to the bottom version and see how much of a difference this actually makes behind the foam insulation time so we're gonna go ahead and check that out as well so I'm gonna go ahead and start these and then we're going to finish up the bottom four pounds then we'll go to the next eight and see how it goes you all right guys before we go ahead and finish up this second door I picked up my Ryobi thermal thermometer so just just for instance let's go ahead and check this out so this door right here before it's finished off says 86 degrees we're gonna go to the one that we already did and we're down to 78 degrees so right there you got a 7-7 degree difference and the sun's just not popping out yet so now this is a door with the with the the other part of it mixed in and that says 77 degrees so basically what we're looking at so two degree difference one degree difference when we add this in so does that really make a difference I mean that's one degree but like I said the sun's not up completely yet so we're gonna go ahead and finish the second door and then we're going to check out our our temperatures a little bit later on you all right so you guys see we finally got the door done it really didn't take that long honestly it took about an hour to do everything I know it's kind of hard to sell because we got super fast mode going on but the door is done let's go ahead and see if if the door bogs down from the weight of these panels or not check it out I'd already know it's definitely quieter so let's go ahead and check it out so compared to before guys I think that's super super quiet than it was earlier go ahead and check it out everything works that's a good thing right everything works is being a good thing that's nice it actually closes a lot tighter guys I was having issues with light coming in the sides and stuff so I think the weight added to the door I think it worked out great to be honest with you it definitely closes tighter it's quieter and I mean we already we already checked out that the mama - check out the difference in the temperature but uh let's see what we're reading so that says 82 degrees on that I guess that's cold ah let's see all right so that says 80 to 82 81 82 81 so it looks like we're gonna sit so these are the pounds that was showing 78 before but as you guys can see when I had the door open the Sun's up I mean there's no doubt about it so it went up like three degrees with the Sun because we were showing 78 earlier so now we're at 80 81 82 on each panel and then we'll get a reading we'll get a reading later on so it's 80 degrees in the garage right now with the Sun up and I showed you guys earlier in the videos the garage usually sits at like 91 so I mean if we got a 10 degree difference in this garage just from these panels and each each kit so it comes in you know eight eight pounds per kit so each kit was like $86 so like 160 and then the reach barrier was like 30 bucks just to test the bottom eight panels on the door so basically like $200 but if I can get 10 degrees cooler or warmer in the garage that the room upstairs above the garage will take less AC or heat to cool and heat the garage the room above so I think in the long run I definitely think it's worth the $200 and honestly like look at the door I mean I think the door looks a lot cleaner a lot nicer with the insulation panels in so I think it's a win-win situation guys I mean obviously you come on down below with you if you're watching the video let me know if you try it let me know if you're thinking about trying it let me know about your results and all that good stuff come back and let me know but once again I appreciate everybody watching the video go ahead and do me a favor hit that like button at least you subscribe that would be great but please hit that like button the kids keep bothering me and see you guys on next video thanks for watching
