Mark Wahlberg And Kevin Hart Go Sneaker Shopping With Complex

can find something to do with my time until Mark gets here crazy thing is we made these plans Mark we're going to meet what are we gonna do we're gonna go to flight club why it'll be dope for us to go they're not and then hopefully they're gonna buy some sneakers let's go okay let's go with Jeff Flareon yeah foreign supposed to be a dual interview with your co-star but I think he's somewhere in the store shopping yeah I think he's by the front he got distracted with all those little shoes in the front he's uh buy himself a couple pair okay but I want to get to some of your early history with sneakers you've been involved with sneakers from the beginning of time but I remember back in the day you were big on classic Adidas and I was wondering like you were going through all like the forums and stuff like that like rock and jock and then I was like it almost looked like he had an Adidas deal and then I found a posting that Donnie was like I hooked him up with the Adidas deal when The Wahlburgers dropped he was like I need the fours because I hooked up the Adidas is that true you know what well there was a friend of ours John Conley worked at Adidas and that was a sample size and so yeah I mean we just had an onslaught but it really started much earlier than that okay somebody I know was in a place that was not the most desirable place but the one of the good benefits of being where he was was that Nike or and other shoe companies would send all their Irregulars okay so I would get different shoes they'd be probably four sizes too big have a rip in the side of them but I stuffed them with tissue and wear them to school yeah and still thinking that it was a so that was really when the whole shoot thing started and now I'm just because I'm trying to drop my own shoe I'm paying attention to what everybody's wearing and are you wear testing a lot of shoes because you're trying to like apply that to p448 when that bridge yeah well with Municipal too you know municipalities yeah we bought it to p448 and we want to manufacture shoes for municipal you know I tried to do I've done the collab with Jordan yeah I talked to Puma I talked to Under Armor I talked to every company out there and I just realized you know what the best way to do it is just do it on your own The Wahlburgers though they're so rare I think Fat Joe has them a few other of your friends but 2019 PJ Tucker Christmas Day wears them in the game I checked on stockx there's two pairs one is ask looking for a hundred thousand did you ever expect it to be that crazy no not at all not at all I just thought you know be friends and family thing you know such a specific thing to our restaurant no people went crazy for them and it's it's hard because I have so many friends who I would want to give the shoes to but we literally got 23 pair you know I got 23 pairs MJ got 23 pairs that was it the other thing is Macklemore did a Macklemore six in green and he was like MJ doesn't even like green did he say anything to you about that we had to we had to make the call so it is a thing oh yeah yeah wow yeah yeah and especially with the four it's not a shoe that they want to mess with at all right and your son I saw wahlburger Ford did he keep him pristine I I have two boys one of them did and one of them I caught this kid selling the shoe yeah he was like Dad it doesn't fit anymore I said I don't care keep putting your closet wow you know and it was it was he was giving it away for pretty cheap thank God I heard about it I was able to stop it okay no no you know you're in the movie me time I think your co-star has arrived hi everybody I text you yeah I stay away from me oh sorry we've been waiting yeah we got to it good to see you man I remember we did this in 2016. me and you and we talked about your shoe salesman prowess yes prowess that's a great word he was a shoe salesman as well did you know that yes really yeah you never told me that there's a lot of things I didn't tell you give me time baby which is getting to know each other what do you mean we give you time together for quite some time I didn't know that but Kevin what were some of the tactics that you like implored when you were selling sneakers selling shoes I can already tell you I was probably a lot better than Mark really uh yeah more personable okay I'm more of a people person um and I can already tell you that back then I know that he wasn't you know he was probably a throw to throw the sneaker box that you got yeah for sure here's your eight chucking at you I'm more of a guy with another knowledge about shoes um I also understood what people wanted and I was very awkward you're trying to trying on a shoe now next thing you know you're giving them foot massage I wasn't afraid to call that harassment no I wasn't a freaky foot toucher that was inappropriate you were Hands-On I was hands on but I was more about my customer what do you need what do you want let me make sure that I can provide you the best service possible and give you the best shoe that you need what I was and in the last episode you drew up a scenario it was a mark it was like a snakeskin Jordan 4 and he sold the shoe like to the whole crew on the spot it's only three little snakes in the world guess where two of them are on your right and your Left Foot Right boom so we're very like off the top on the on the spot selling oh yeah I mean look you have to be able to improvise uh especially in a space like this you have to be able to work quickly on your feet that's why I know he wasn't good but as I know he's very frustrating how do you sell this shoe right here I did oh my God by the way you're talking about these shoes you said uh no how do you sell these shoes you're not just looking at a shoe you're looking at the premium sneaker here you're looking at a one of one so when you want a 101 we'll find the one in my opinion this is it you want a sneaker that's gonna sound like you're selling your Tequila No no I'm not selling my tequila but if I was Grand cormina was available okay but I'm not I'm not both of you oh so he he's close with MJ he plays golf with them Jake did he tell you that did you pick that up no I saw it we saw it he played he didn't pick it up it's a name does anybody want me to grab that name but listen Kevin have you buried the hatchet since the Vegas charity event uh I I ain't talked to myself what did you do what did you do listen you haven't understood you have it in with your co-star to fix this relationship with me and Mike uh so we was at a charity event it was Mike's Vegas charity event you know I was hitting him I was on stage so I gave him a couple you know I hit his pants he had like his pants comedian what do you mean he walked in he came in late I saw the ad on the very high waisted Jean it was flared at the bottom I couldn't help myself Mike was a little mad at me but Mike knows I love him uh it's all love I haven't seen him since though no no no it's a lot we have nothing to Justice if anyone can fix a relationship Kevin I know that like you source so these are 1985s but you Source these I think a year ago those the 1985 bread ones and like two pair of 1994s but isn't it crazy to see like literally from 1985 how and then there's so many different iterations now this shoe right here where you give it to me and I'm looking at the creases I'm looking at the wear and tear on it yeah you go back to 85. you're thinking about what Jordan did absolutely festivity that's uh that's attached to if you think about it I mean if if you were to come in here today and just look at I mean all that he's created all that he inspired you ain't and you just took the car you just really went to the I mean really you really attacked me no I don't know it really is on everybody but then you make people feel bad oh my God he was killing me all night last night at dinner and then all of a sudden I said one thing and he made me feel so bad about it Mark you mentioned that your 16 year old son is starting to take some of your shoes because you wear the same size yeah but he's only got a little window I mean he went from here to here I think he's you know I'm a size 10. I think he's going to be 11 in in a couple months so it's going to be a span of him going through him yeah is that happening to you as well like he came and went yeah it's over okay my son was in my sneakers at the age six uh he's nice trying to get sympathy he's in there at the age six he was wearing a size eight he now is in like at 11 and a half so you know this one's okay but he had heat at six but if he understood what was on his feet back then uh good thing no Dior ones for him no Dior no no both you guys got the chance to design your own Nikes and Jordans what's it like going to Portland for anyone did he do anything for anyone because when I came when I met the complex you got that kind of heat they out chasing after you for the shoe you couldn't give him away yeah if you see that they keep saying it was called a Hustle Hard trainer based off of me and my world of athleticism because what do I do I motivate people health and wellness is a Thing Mark right you just work out for yourself I actually inspire motivate other people to do the same my shoe people inspired to be better that was on my shoe it was actually insane because I had a bunch of them and Mark every time you open the box you heard you heard like motivation from him literally his voice did you hear when you open up the pair of Wahlburgers did they say anything just paper and cardboard did Mark have it did it say anything wow I guess we're learning something today aren't we spending a little me time but we're learning a little bit about you guys seem like listen we got to get to me time I saw like some matching fits we'll see some sneakers and like I think I saw like almost Miami colorways like tracksuits yeah yeah he got me asked naked and a pair of Travis Scott what wait a minute wait a minute what yeah they set me up good they got me a daisy dukes the movie is funny the move is great you went naked in Travis Scott Jordan's character it's not him okay hooked it not Mark Huck okay I will say one nice thing about Kevin there's many nice things to say but you know what she enjoys making people laugh but he also he also really tries to motivate people and you know encourage people to be the best versions of themselves which is a good thing you know what I'm going to encourage you to do to actually give them some sneakers you're gonna you're gonna you're gonna give these nice people some of those Wahlberg I know that what are they going for 70 grand or something yeah I checked on stockx one was at a hundred thousand really yeah what a rap gift that would have been they've been made only nine and up I mean just a signed pair would have been a great rap kid I got a frame I mean you would think that you would think about this stuff the fact that you don't bothers me listen we talked about everything now's the easy part but I think you guys may have some help shopping today uh it's people here right some other people some shoes let's do it let's do it you know what she's talking about doing stuff you're gonna I don't have my car [Music] hi nice to see you what's your name and you better not be cheap you better not be Jake because I bought the last one for the other person what do you want to get the Jordans what are you getting oh some juices oh really that's it you just want the one pair okay Wahlberg buying sneakers Mark Wahlberg this isn't Kevin yeah so let's figure it out these are nice right yeah I love them oh I got those yeah hold that those are great I got them right but that's so you can't just have one color go to classic color too Mark Wahlberg come on stop it they don't have any mistakes they will a simple Asic this is great Mark let's go see it easy yeah let's get those two but don't let those three go okay okay nice I got you I just whatever you can't get no shoelaces in here I'll get it I'll figure out where to get you the money I got you what did she get a couple of dunks and a pair of Yeezys that's what I'm talking about okay well I thought she said she don't need them I mean listen at the end of the day if Mark Wahlberg is one one in a million it's one of the million chances right so all right let's get to those thank you I really appreciate it yeah you got good Hearts we're spending me time so did Mark did Mark settle he didn't son of a person he got me again it's okay it's it's fine you got four shoes here four shoes of course we do of course that's great just get here here what do I do what do I do yeah I bet I do God damn it he got me didn't he all right all right that's good thank you yeah thank you yeah you're welcome thank you so much yeah of course I can of course I can [Music] appreciate it Mark can't help her out he's not here [Music] [Music] so Kevin came through more came through thank you guys so much for taking the time got a fan sneakers really appreciate it nice Joe we appreciate you make sure everyone checks out me Time on Netflix coming soon good Joe let's go all right man thank you [Music]
