comments where the comments well hello everybody welcome to Monday's wit not muddies with mark what is this Saturday's with all of us and and I've got some special guests here today but before I bring them on I want to sing with you I want you to sing at home hello everybody coming in we can hear you Katherine Pierce says Thank You Katherine hope you're doing good as well we are hello Hanna gadelle edge over there on YouTube and all of you coming in Riki Patton thank you for tuning in all of you but let's I was reading in my favorite book you know the one we've been going through about the group then sings my soul by Robert J Morgan it has all the stories behind the hymns and one of them I was reading this morning John Scriven watched in shock as the body of his fiancee was pulled from the lake their wedding had been planned for the next day reeling from the tragedy he made up his mind to immigrate to America packing up his belongings in Dublin Ireland he called he sailed for Canada leaving his mom behind he was about 25 years old ten years later in 1855 he received word that his mother was facing a crisis Joseph wrote this poem and sent it to her mrs. Griffin evidently gave a copy to a friend who had it published anonymously and it quickly became a popular hymn though no one knew who had written it meanwhile Joseph fell in love again but tragedy struck a second time when his bride Eliza Katherine Roche contracted tuberculosis and died in 1860 before their wedding could take place to escape his sorrow Joseph poured himself into ministry doing charity work for the Plymouth Brethren and preaching among the Baptist he was ecumenical he lived a simple obscure life in Port Hope Canada cutting firewood for widows giving away his clothes and money to those in need he was described as a man of short stature with iron-gray hair close-cropped beard and light blue eyes that sparkled when he when he talked IRA psyche later wrote on October 10th 1896 Joseph became critically ill in his delirium he rose from his bed and staggered outdoors where he fell into a small Creek and drowned at the age of 66 but he wrote this song from a tragedy a virus sort of a thing tuberculosis took his bride and he wrote this what a friend we have in Jesus all our sin and grieve to be a privilege to carry mmm everything to God in prayer in that a good song Oh what peace we often forfeit Oh what needless pain we bear Oh because we do not carry everything to God in prayer and you know what I love about singing this early in the morning and I can put it in whatever key I want make it as low as it needs to be and I hope you sing along with me hey my special guest and I've got to and they're gonna both be Skyped in in just a few short minutes my first guest today is mr. Andy Andrews hello Andy hey buddy are you I'm good I love I love what you're doing here I was at home yesterday watching you and Wes I know that's what gave us the idea let's get Andy on on here and of course you might have guessed my my other guest who's coming up shortly is West Hampton but first I wanted Andy to tell us to speak to us about this where we are we're at a place Wayne Ward texted me yesterday and said this is our 911 this is our World War two this is our you know Normandy Beach do you think it's that severe I do yeah I do I just it's odd to me that if you look at the highest tier was canceled in schools canceled the rest of the year in Alabama anyway these were kids that were born their first year of life was 911 right and now they're graduating with this but yeah i think i think the problem obviously is nobody knows right right right i mean and and so when you and that is a problem but it's not as bad a problem as knowing for sure all right because the it didn't weren't try and say that you know it's not it's not it's not that you don't know that causes a problem the biggest problems are caused by people who know for absolutely sure oh yeah so well you know this someone said that this could be a precursor i mean if it had been ebola or some real serious virus spreading like this i mean this is a serious virus but it doesn't kill as many people as i think you both what I know nothing I'm up here talking just because we have a YouTube channel and Facebook doesn't mean we know anything I know nothing all I know is that I'm asking people who do and I'm hoping you're one of them I've talked you know I really haven't in the past week but excuse me I mean I worked for a long time with Special Operations and with some intelligence agent season so I still have some contacts there but it's been a week since I've talked to anybody but everything they told me is kind of this is just kind of how it's rolling out and I was I was assured that the states were gonna shut everything down and I a lobotomy is shut down at 5:00 p.m. today hmm so when you say shut down like I'm calling ours a lockdown because I don't know what you call it because I can still go to the grocery store which I don't let me tell you let me go ahead and bring Wes in because he told us something yesterday hey Wes good morning you told us yesterday that shipped Shi PT where I downloaded the app I used it it is amazing everybody made it if you can afford ninety nine dollars a year for someone to bring you your groceries and then you just tip them if you you know if they did if they did everything right yes is that correct that's correct any have you heard of that I have not I did I was just sitting here thinking how funny it is that a a person like Marc who is very publicly Christian that he would feel like he has to spell that word yesterday Wes you were telling us well I don't want anyone talking [ __ ] I just Shi PT well I didn't want anyone to think it was Shi pped because then you'd get that happen look at this the lady cup she all right here it is she she says hi Marc this is your shift shopper Rhonda I'm about to begin shopping and then she says okay they didn't have this brand of tacos you want this brand and I wasn't sure and they were out of what were they out of Bounty paper towels and and so I said okay well don't get those then and then they were out of Clorox wipes well we can't have those and the wood didn't have the right back you know whatever and so you it's amazing and then she says I've got your bags and I will drop them on your front door yeah and she did and I went out without them yeah it's great yeah that sounds that sounds great I wonder if we have that here you guys got a wife who probably don't know I think it's all over Alabama but is it okay yeah and it's and they they specifically started I think if I'm not wrong at Publix and I know you got a hope it's right there yeah we got a pose well yeah number one Publix there is they've done more in one day than any other Publix so Wow well Andy was right yeah a prayer especially walking net walking down the the toilet paper I out you can just like imagine you're in the Soviet Union or something so so it looks like you know over that way everywhere you know it's amazing to me though I was I looked on Facebook this morning and you know Scott Dawson do you know any of you yeah you do okay Scott is talking there's a bunch of pastors talking to Scott about doing Drive in churches doing the driving service right all the cars come to the parking lot and they just have the worship they end up on the outside stage or you know it's just talking people and so I'm reading these comments of people coming in and one of them says yeah we're not going to do it anymore we're going right back to online because we had like about a thousand cars and a couple of people decided they would get out and greet everybody and they like stuck their hands out and some people actually roll down their windows and shook their hand and it's like and so here's what that reminds me of so now they weren't gonna do it anymore right now that church is not you do it and so what that reminds me of is remember when we were in school and there was this one idiot in your class that nobody could control and the teacher said if you do that one more time everybody's going to get extra homework yeah I did it and we got it I can't believe mark have you got that old picture I sent you oh yeah yes ho don't give me one sweet second let me sit here alright it is up on the screen the back carrying is done I've had this picture for a long time and this picture is a shot your or - these are American GIs so this is not a joke this is true yeah no this is true and and it's now I've got some context to give you with it but this is American GIs and they used pack animals a lot especially in Italy with all the mountains and stuff like that and and so this was this squads pack animal and they are actually in that picture they're going through a minefield and so the you know the engineers would clear and mark a little tiny trail that they could go on but they couldn't afford to lead that donkey through there because you know the donkeys liable to just wander off and this bloke blow up a mine and blow up several guys right so the only thing they could do was like time onto this guy's back yeah and get through them on to a fourth better man and so the moral of the story is that anytime there is a crisis going on the first people you have to get it get a hold over these jackasses that don't understand anything and you're just gonna have to control them right so that you know things don't get worse they don't kill everybody right well how would you say that applies to coronavirus today well we you know I have been told by by some people who know I don't really know but I have pretty good sources and I've been told several times by these people that if everybody would just go in their houses and stay by themselves and not do anything for a month we'd be through with it and if they say they say it might even be two weeks it would be through with it but we'll be through it in a month everybody stayed in but you know there's there's not going to I you know they closed up our town supposedly for everything but well actually the governor said what was it West said all non-essential business it's not a potential businesses right and so I'm sorry go ahead no I just saying so you look around go you know I don't know if that candy shop is non-essential I don't know if the hardware stores non-essential I I mean you know it's just like really and so so people disobey it and so now at five o'clock this evening yes like today it shut down locked down you know and over mobile you know they've got a curse you of ten o'clock and the police are gonna enforce it and so you'll be arrested well you would be yeah well I just heard if you were out and you're not working for something like shipped or you're on the way to the doctor or to the bank or to some place that you have to go you don't have proof then you can you can get into some serious trouble if you don't have proof of where you are going yeah starting at five o'clock today so it's really it's really odd to me that yeah the people some of the people that don't understand the degree of seriousness are like a lot of the teenagers you know they just they don't they don't get it I guess and and or they've heard that yet these young people can't it's not serious when they get it or or something but they can carry it or they think that it's just killing old people right yes that it's not you you got to worry about is your grandmother right you know it's and so so it's funny to me and I heard Rick Burgess say this but he said it's ironic that for so many years we'll be in ours and and and some people say oh yeah who cares it affect me yeah but just for our children we got we got to do this for our children well now it's like we're going to the children I go and hey do this for me you know we're the ones in trouble Aladin SAS says if you're caught without a valid reason you're given a fine or 30 days in jail I don't know how it's in Alabama or wherever Atlantan sass lives well what what country is this I just read this I think it's Venezuela but they they put a lot down and they they've told the officers shoot them you know yeah if they're if they're out you know because they're trying to lock it down trying to keep everybody out and he's the and this was the president of the country was it Venezuela well we don't need to go that far no I might just be running to Kroger's to pick up my medicines right be mad at you and just use that as a good excuse hey Andy what kind of hope you got for people watch it you know cuz I want to know there are a lot of people who aren't as fortunate is the three of us who who are going through this totally alone you are sequestered and doing your duty and staying home and you're alone that's why I'm checking in every day just to hope to hopefully bring you a little hope now Andy I want you to give a little hope today I know you're the man of hope I love your prayer getting out you're a pandemic prayer and what what I mean we do know this this too shall pass right yep yes it comes to pee don't come to stay it comes to pass right so then this will - I I really believe yeah I'm kind of like your voice I'm curious but I also I know that I have to control my own imagination you know fear and faith are kind of the same cloth it's just opposite into the spectrum because fear and faith are both believing something that hasn't happened yet and that you can't see but but the reward of fear is just more fear yeah but the reward of faith is to finally see what you have so long believed and the fear thing is curious to me too because I I I believe that the smarter you are the higher your IQ is the more likely you are to have to deal with fear during this time I think it's smart people that get scared worse than dumb people and and I believe I can back that up anecdotally because if you if you see it there's this television show called jackass this is the second time I've said that that worked right but you know what I'm talking about it's these people do these crazy dare things they're just insane they are crazy and and they don't look like they're scared of anything no and they don't appear to be too smart to me but but fear is nothing in the world but a misuse of the creative imagination God placed in you right I mean it's a smarter you are the more likely you are to figure and think and be creative and and and so the the the creativity the imagination is being used for our own purposes and and so that's where you have to really get a get a hold of your thinking and and the way I do that the way I get a hold of my thinking is I look for the I look for the good facts I look for ways to explain it I don't watch the news so much yeah I mean I mean if you feel like you need to be informed well then get in there get what you need and then get out don't obsess over it don't sit there and watch the news all day long I agree um because these guys and that know I'm not using them as a punching bag or anything this is just reality their ratings go really high when there's a disaster and so they know that and they milk it for all it's worth which they should okay that's how they make money and so they're though they're willing to make that thing last as long as they could now I'm not talking about they want the virus to last so I'm not saying that but I'm just saying that milk that disaster because it means higher ratings and higher ratings mean more money and and it's why we hear over and over again about a 2% death rate of 2% death rate and nobody ever says a 98 percent survival rate yeah right and so so I and I and I think that the right kind of facts can alleviate a lot of fear and like here's a fact when Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave the speech where he said the only thing they had to fear is fear itself that was at his very first inaugural right and the country was in this horrible depression and we don't hear about this as much but the country also had just have a variety of viruses that were really you know Roosevelt himself he gave that speech in a wheelchair and 12 years before he had been stricken with polio just caused by a virus and it would be 22 more years before a vaccine was found tuberculosis had not even gotten as lethal as it would but because of the depression you know people were getting sick and people were dying and and so you know you move along a few years and if you look at our last hundred years in America and the reason I'm saying this is I believe we have a lot of hope we can't have a lot of hope if we choose to hope because we have a history of solving these dire situations right just in the last hundred years we have found vaccines for polio tuberculosis typhoid diphtheria cholera typhus measles mumps chickenpox rubella swine flu bird flu Spanish flu I mean you could just go on and on yeah and so what I'm saying is we are if if this is going to happen is a good thing that happened now because we are really our researchers are really ready for this they're so far down the road because they know what to look for they know how to type the virus they know how in they're already down the road on so many things that you know pass to err and salt we're just trying to figure out what a germ was right and you know and it didn't think about this in the last 100 years of the existence of smallpox it killed 500 million people in the last 100 years of its existence of course a vaccine was created and in 1980 the World Health Organization declared smallpox eradicated for the world and so we are going to solve this but we got a I think I think we gotta leave these guys alone a little bit you know cuz I mean I don't want the researchers to have to worry about me right now I mean just do your work you know if they're having to do it with one hand and then beat people off with the other hand you just can't think you know how it is you can't think I mean oh we oh we're trying to do is right yeah but these people are trying to save humanity or something and so man they got it let them work yes well I I think it's you know I want these little visits not to be too heavy but I do think we got to give hope you know we got to give people hope that you're not alone we're all in this together even if you are literally alone in your home you're not alone you right you've got the Lord in your heart you got me checking in every day which I know is not the same as a flesh-and-blood person coming better I'm thrilled to do it Wes how are you holding up with your children we're doing great I said last time that we're so used to homeschooling that being shut in with my boys it's really not that big of a deal yesterday was the first day that looked at each other and thought we've got to get away from these kids oh really it was just one of those days it was what how many days I'm sorry yeah just warning I can't do this problem you know just it was just winey winey winey yeah and when you're with whiners 24/7 it kind of builds up would you ever want to just backhand them Oh many times but do you but I have not ever you have never heard my dad sure back in our day no we're doing great we are we were following the rules I just I'm still tired of hearing about we have a playground in our neighborhood a public little park and there were still parents taking their kids to play at this playground and I just want to scream well maybe they've come to the point where you know risk them dying or having to put up with him for another minute you know maybe I don't maybe I wouldn't make a good parent I mean way we you know you were just want to get away from my boy somebody might say let's take him to the park no I think he would be a great parent I really do more boys think you'd be a great parent I love you I love all you all your kids all you both y'all so what else can we talk about we've only been talking for a little while Andy if you got another picture you want to show us I do and I wanted to spring this on you guys I have been after one of our mutual friends for several years now you know Jimmy Yuri is a song I love Jimmy Yuri yep and so Jimmy May Sonya Isaac's is Jimmy's wife and Jimmy you know we all know songwriters right but but Jim Jimmy is like you mark or like Bill and Gloria and he's like a real now you know he's like Bill and Gloria have written one song this man is a songwriting machine how many has he had well yeah I don't even know he wrote the last two Kenny Chesney number ones and he one song of the year on CMA one song of the year on ACM he had Rascal Flatts last number one he he he just he's unbelievable but about three years ago I started really getting after him because you know Jim he used to be the lead singer for Chenin - right I mean he's he's a songwriter who can sing right you know and and so I I went and and I I would tell him I said Jimmy at some point you got to do this I said because I you know I heard that song before I heard George Strait do it and I like the way you do it better or not like the way he did and and so so then it that evolved into he would send me a song and say hey what do you think about this what do you think about this song and I'd listen to it I'd call him back and I do this on a couple of months early on I said let me tell you what I think about that song what I think about it is I think you better not ever give that to anybody do not let anybody record that song just tuck it away and don't let anybody record it because that is gonna be on your album and he said serious I said I'm telling you Jimmy that's just too good to give away - good to sell - good you know for anybody else to do any other interpretation of it and and so that happened enough times over a few years that he had kind of a stock of them and so this producer had him I've got the FIR number of years yeah that best yeah it's come it comes out April 10th April 10th and they and you talk about that a title for the world right now look at the title of the album same water different boat same one or different Wow in that the truth that sank back up and there's such a I'm telling y'all he's a writer's writer I mean up all the writers I know really really respect him and he's you know he's just he's unbelievable I've heard that I've heard album I've heard the mixes and man you talk about ten songs that are just dynamite and there's gonna be I just interviewed him a couple of days ago for future Monday's with Mark so he'll be a guest on Mondays with Mark he's the best yeah that's great Jimmy my yeah you be well you know who are you saying also say Andy you and Jimmy actually wrote a song together and it was a few years ago and I already have a track cut for it but I'm actually working on that while I'm quarantine on my new album it so it's it's a great song really it's called getting ready to breathe it's it's great getting ready to breathe yeah it's right love that title yeah we were we were we were in you know when you're on the the cruises with Bill and Gloria one of my favorite times anyway is you know in the morning there's that little private area that that we go into and get our stuff and coffee and and couple or three mornings during that week Dylan glory will be sitting there and rust half mark Lowry OS and Andrea and you know and and just a conversation starts and man it is just unbelievable I mean I just love it and and so we were there one time remember when David Phelps sister was very very ill yes and and she was going into hospice and and David was having a hard time with it as you can imagine and so it got really serious in there and a couple of people you know talked to him and I read and Gloria made the remark she said she's so sick David she's so sick but she's anxious for heaven she's she's getting ready to take it clean breath again she's she's getting ready to breathe and Jimmy and I looked at each other across the Roman and and after the meeting broke up I said I'm putting that in a book and Jimmy said well you know we we ought to write a song about it I said okay you know and it was a year later that we actually sat down and wrote the song and and so I'm glad you're gonna record that you yeah I don't think that's very cool you got a lot you got a studio in your home West don't you yes yeah house though oh it's great yeah I can get all this work done while I'm at home well let's see what the folks are saying I mean legit me has one song on his album that he and I read together oh really uh-huh it's not God how many songs have you read my god I'm not God is the name of that song on his own written a door so I think eight or nearly I didn't know that Lucy Ross said getting ready to breathe that is a good title isn't it Lucy I google it do you know can you I'm not quite warmed up you know I don't want to give away any of it yet okay it is beautiful story it's a really great song I'm excited for people to hear it I can I was funny cuz Jimmy said Judy said do you do you wanna send this to to bill and Gloria and I said not really and he said he said nah I think I think we ought to you I think we ought to I don't like all right and he said so do it Oh me you he said yeah yeah you do it you talked to him you do it so okay so I sent it to him and he said yeah yeah yeah yeah I'll ya give that a listen and and he called me back that night yeah and he said he said well Andy I need to tell you hey Andy this is this is the first thing you've done right and I say yes sir did he called you Landy no I thought you said Landy not that's why I started laughing no but half the time he calls it's a mistake because he's calling Andrew his son-in-law okay okay I'm sorry I invited you so he calls and says this is your first and a seat yes sir and I'm just stealing myself you know keep trying you know and he said well you really need to keep writing I think he said because it's gonna be a long time for you write another one that good wow really and and I called Jimmy and told him he said that and we were like we were both amazed and but it's it's a good story song and has you know just just I love a story song yeah they're my favorites so some right eNOS is to me it's very fun Jimmy has taught me a lot he didn't teach it I think it's hard I think it's like you know I don't know I've never given birth but it seems like it'd be about equal to that I cuz I have to get up in the mental stirrups and push these songs out it's like it's work I got a slow the brain down and think and ponder and I'm not really that's what right that's what writing a book is for me you know I'm like seriously we can sit down we can get this done in a day I mean I just turned in an eighty thousand page book home and I thought it was gonna kill me I thought I'm gonna die on this one so oh wow what's what's it about it's the third notice or book what's up it's called just Jones and I can't wait yeah I think I think it's pretty cool I'm excited about it we have really got a what do you call that a series now they're gonna never make a movie out of all this you know I don't know they should I don't know I've been approached about probably 50 or 60 times but nothing that's so far no movie so far yeah well y'all I guess this is our check-in for today it's been fun oh there's gotta be more we got to do something can you can you say okay here's something Daniel wants us is can you sing leaning on the water fellowship what a joy meaning on the what a blessedness what a peace is my name on the see that there's a delay with the yeah we can't sing together we gotta get that fixed I know it Oh Melinda Melinda said I love the noticer and that great but notice Linda says this Linda says the Notre sirs my favorite book Wow see there it's worth you spending time to build a 80th I know any story I think I still think I look everything you've written honest honest to God but that the Isle of saints well but you changed it to Hartman to write yeah I didn't change it the publisher changed to change to Hartman or but and what that's my favorite book I've written what a story Hartman der his the RS yeah it is so good and by the way if anybody wants books don't go to Amazon because they're not shipping them if they have them they they have called and told us I mean first of all the dates get cancelled and I think okay well I get at least I got some books you know and then Amazon calls all the publishers and says hey we're right now we're not gonna be shipping books they're not going to be restocking anything and we'll just see how this all plays out so fortunately like you guys I have I have some right and so people can go to Andy Andrews calm and and get it that's the place to get it anyway you get more of the money absolutely yeah yeah and right it is that's very important yeah it seems to be to my wife yeah those people still like to eat don't they yeah they eat live indoors man they're doing an indoor I love me my good night what all do they want Holly Holly was really excited that I was coming down here to the studio because she said oh I wish I could go Oh mark and last my welcome she she's right here picture on my computer go get her and tell her to come we got time because she could not I'm not in the house I know you can tell us some real Andy Andrews story tell her to be there tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. and I'll be calling her all right hey look at this you wanna see something that most people would never do what I'm about to do no good I'm I'm so proud of my wife that I'm gonna show you as bad a picture as has ever been taken of her I want to show you what she looks like what she looks we were at a concert right over there amphitheater 10,000 seats outdoor thing it was hot middle of July and then it rained oh and and so this was taken in then so that's what she looks like that's as bad as Polly ever looked does me see if I don't get a close-up and then I believe it let me say oh that doesn't give me a close-up right look at her see way second I got to go back to here then there and then there yeah there it is there it is yeah she's gorgeous yes okay there you did good is she oh she's not able to see real good why you say that well I mean she's so pretty and I thought maybe she couldn't see real good because she might married you and you know we're not on the bird you didn't good thing women don't really look at how men look they just loved personality here's what here's what she looks like regularly and she says my tennis she is beautiful yeah she's going to you March she likes you well she doesn't like you she likes Wes and Andrew hey let me ask you something Wednesday sonicator like me when do you when do the wives stop respecting their husbands how far into the marriage does that happen y'all are gonna answer are ya does it have even lettuce here let me just say this let me say this the other night we had a young married couple at our house this was before all this started and he was telling us they'd been married like three months and he was telling us man every night when I come home she's got this great dinner and you know she makes this and subdued this makes this and I was biting my tongue I say yeah what are you married 31 years let's see let's see or make dinner everything you come back to me 31 years later sit let's here make dinner every night yeah do that's gonna change well I know you'll be the cook bro [Laughter] Martin to answer your question all honesty the respect as always the respect has never left isn't that wonderful and and it is a mutual thing sure I never thought I'd be the cook but it's it's my hobbies what I enjoy so she yeah and you know that when I was with you in out in California where we were together in you and Andrea and me and you that was fun I could see that and I see the same thing with Polly and Andy but I wonder because sometimes I wonder you know it's sad when that happens cuz I think once you've lost that respect it's over I mean as far as yeah really being in fun after that yeah I think that that book and I'm sure you guys love and respect humorous integrity you haven't read the book that no I do I can I go oh yeah no that is a great book and tell you the premise in a heartbeat I can tell you the premise in a heartbeat did you know that the Bible never tells wives to love their husbands does not tell Matt the the the Bible does tell husbands to love their life right but it commands wives to respect the husbands and you know it's kind of like that love language thing they don't care so much about respect they care about love but if we if we guys are not respected we certainly don't feel loved mm-hmm you know and so it's just that that dynamic that's a good book yeah it makes you wonder why am I even doing this you know if I'm trying to even be respected and that's that man when you get married mark when you when you finally meet this beautiful woman of your dreams the there's ain't gonna happen yo well you know I listen honestly I up to I do tell people I say look if you don't just have to get married like your life is gonna be over if you don't married this person yeah if you don't feel that way don't get married you know I mean it's hard enough in a good man I think that's why God gives young people such strong sex drives to force them into that commitment that lifelong you know and if I do get married now at least till death do us part is not a long commitment tinkers mack smart that's it man but that ain't gonna happen I have no desire I never have don't understand why anybody would want to get into an institution because that's where it's like you know Bill's the vocal bands bus driver Jimmy you know Jimmy oh yeah Oh Jimmy yeah he was he was dating this girl past years Jimmy you gonna marry her oh no man I marry her she gonna spend my money you know he just he doesn't he does not have the slightest desire to get married he just C wants to date and that's it yeah I told bill I said yes remember cuz I'd see him and Gloria you know they'd argue you've heard him they I love that don't argue right in front everybody and he'd get frustrated whether I'd look at him and say half she'll take half be nice she'll take half of course that one deserves half she wrote all those lyrics you know she did you guys tell the story of the tupola hair the what when I first when I first started with you guys when I first started doing stuff with Bill and Gloria and you guys it was one of the first stories that I heard and I still think that is very funny what I don't know what you're talking about well I was not there I was not here a part of the group when this happened well I understand as I understand they were in Tupelo Mississippi and Gloria always did his hair yeah oh it's teased hair get sprayed she did that well right in the middle of doing that they got into some argument and she just flipped the brush up there and said do you own hair and left and so when he went for doing it himself you know all the artists right and then later people would see if his hair was messed up they would say you know it's hair like he had in Tupelo and that turned into 2 plus remember that but I do remember Calhoun Georgia did you ever hear me say remember Calhoun I remember well you know here's the deal we were I remember when we when I first joined the group we were in Georgia and there were more people on stage than there were in the audience oh my god I mean he had a very slim he had a back well that's hyperbole but he there's pipe two or three hundred people there in this high school auditorium and he had thirty people on stage and background singers a band the trio the quartet all of it back then you know because he had peaked in the 80s not early you know late maybe early 80s you know with the trio and then it started going down well Gary McSpadden left and when I joined they were on an iron lung and we were in countin on Georgia and and but bill was always so positive like just around the corner his bigger days ahead I mean he could make you believe you know so I was just but and then the videos hit alright and then we had 20,000 people a night there for a while I mean it was bizarre because the videos were so huge they were on every Saturday night people were coming out and bus loads and every time bill would get on the bus and start bragging a little bit about how the crowds are so big I'd say yeah but remember Calhoun remember you're just a blink away from cow trying to find a picture that I have not shown to anybody and I would love for you guys to see this at the first time because you're gonna crack up but I've got you know how it is we have seventeen hundred and twenty six people watching us wow they're still with us 48 minute thank y'all for tuning in and listening our ramblings we are alive Andes and or in Alabama oh you're both in Alabama you're wes is in Birmingham and Andes in Old Orchard Beach is that what it is orange orange orange be smart-aleck Old Orchard Road sounds like a retirement home go to Orange Beach what am I thinking Orange Beach yeah but we do have we do have a lot of snowbirds they're Petersburg stop here and but they're smart I mean listen these are smart people I mean you got to be smart to figure a 3% tip in your head like that Debbie Mueller says keep rambling you all I'm helping you entertain your day hey West is in Houston hello Faye West this is fun how's your sister may do what now nice Oh Mae West I'm gonna get this and this was gonna kill you that's gonna kill I'm gonna do biscuits I think this afternoon why already decide yeah one task to me when you're doing it now share oh well I'll make sure to Shay beforehand yeah shade YB not shade I know people really care that funny they can I get a life on that part but I agree with him I looked I was looking but I wanted to cover up all this see this part here this all this up under here this is how you can show you I remember one time I was watching CNN and Phyllis Diller was on there you know and she'd had the facelifts and she kind of looked like a monkey but her face was so smooth until she raised that claw up to wipe the hair out of her hair her face and realize they can't do anything for the hands maybe they can now that isn't on do you remember she looks so young and perky and then that claw came up and I thought with that hand paper away hey while I'm finding this I wanna you know I have we were given away curriculums for all the books or for 12 of the voice I saw the curriculums we have but they're free if you don't download them on Andy Andrews calm or you know teachers accuse them and then we also have we did a video version and audio version and have a curriculum for the kid who changed the world that's like k5 through second grade and then the other day we realized there was not an audio for youngtravellers gift so I Matt and I came to the studio and we did the for hours and it's a four-hour audio and you're giving all the name yeah we're getting it and so if people just knew you want to go hey that's it wisdom Harbor hidden it okay so you'd go to wisdom Harbor calm and click the audio I'm going to put that up wisdom Harbor calm and that's har Bo you are at wisdom har Bo you Lord are calm and they can get free whatever they've got a click when they get there click the audio books doc okay audiobooks alright there you go so just go to wisdom harbour calm click the audio books and you can download Andes what book yeah that's the youngtravellers gift it's the same as the travelers gift it's just slightly different story because it's a high school kid who does the travel you know does the time travel and and Wes and also on that on that dark they can also listen to I did call of the wild did the Jumping Frog of Calaveras County there's several things on there they can listen to I found my picture I'm good good yo you are text it to me okay I can't you don't have to sue me and I'll put that screen away all right now I just want to tell you it also on wisdom Harbor I'm sitting this year right now Markie also on wisdom Harbor is a whole section for kids we caught the cabin kids and it's letters from celebrities to kids it's pretty cool and that's all free - so cool all right all right and this is going okay so you texted or Ebay text did it all right so I was loosing it yeah got it okay oh my gosh I don't know I was watching all right going through some news that they disbanded because it's an open in preview I'm gonna fix this so it's not so weird looking at okay all right I don't I can figure I said but I see this picture and I did a double-take but it wasn't Bill Rock did I realize now I know why I have never seen Bill Gaither and done McClaren same time hold on I'm getting it I'm gonna get it up here so fast you're not gonna believe this y'all don't let me crazy it is you sent this when we were in Panama City Beach which was actually the last concert the vocal band did March showed it to Bill is it that crazy that's now who is that again John McCloy Don McLean or Bill Gates so you put those do you put this together yeah oh yeah that is amazing in it you know Dom my client I think Don McLean is a genius songwriter - oh yeah he see all the really good songwriters don't have time fix their hair evidently evidently cuz dawn looked like he had to blow hair and that didn't I want to show you one more picture oh good good good Wes you got any pictures you want to share not really okay see where is the peace to be on your show all the time you know it that's really the only show time so I guess I just I'm you can be on any time you want now that we know you have Skype no I have her food I've been taking lots of food pictures for this new cookbook I'm working on so I just I have a bunch of food pictures oh that's nice not very existing why'd you send me another picture yeah yeah okay alright and but you can't put it up Jojo okay I won't I send this messages to Markie I hear Oh loud air noise of some sort oh it's probably my MacBook okay as you're getting it let me tell you the story I had this little dick built right beside my house right where we could just sit out there beside my house uh-huh and there were two brothers working on the same carpenters and they were very polite just so polite their granddad's assembly of God's minister and one of them wore a hat all the time and I could occasionally see the hair falling out of that hat and I knew his hair was really long and I guess he just thought you know I'm just not gonna show my long hair here you know this this guy may be a stick-in-the-mud which I probably am but he so so last day I'm just like coming out of the house and I happened to see this is the last day they're through and I see him standing up on that little deck he took his hat off he did his hair down just trying to do like that and then flipped it way back and I look dame and Austin Adams were with me and also said Wow his hair's long I said come here so we went over to him and I said hey buddy I said I need you to do me a favor you guys have done a great job here but I need you to do me a favor so okay I said take off your shirt he said what let's take him just take it off take off shirt okay I said now take off your bracelets take off your bracelets okay okay so he took them off said take off your necklace took office necklace so I said all right come right over here right here and get this tree this Bush right behind you now what I want you to do is I want you to look up and I want you to give me one of these because I said dude you look so much like Jesus I I can't even believe it and so I took the picture and I had I'd sent it people and say look who has been at my house past couple days he says he's a carpenter but here it is of course he's a little white to be Jesus but yeah well but still is that well I bet him whatever I bet he'll never forget working at your house I want to hire him one day and take him out to the beach when it's really really calm and take a picture of him doing this and then I can send it around and say I don't know who this guy is but I will say there were eight foot waves here a couple of minutes ago well y'all this is fun y'all want to do this again sometime absolutely yes yes they said we got a request I had a lot of oh they're all saying wow wow wow someone said Wes could you sing something well man Wes just sing a little something any okay what should I say what what do y'all want Oh someone said victory and Jesus Janet Greenlee or let's see if we can find something else if you don't want to do that Oh victory in Jesus my Savior forever that's a good one he saw it Wes winders your cookbook come out probably the end of spring early summer oh good and I've already written probably 16 completed recipes for pictures and stories and all that so I'm the first I'm not a writer at all you're not a what I have a whole new respect for Andy it's just crazy just write these recipes after about three or four I go oh my gosh I know how exhausted oh here's a good one for you saying hey alright try making it up sometime Jordan hardly do once we hear until then just saying the course of until then we'll go who me yeah I've got shot no worst of that until then my heart will go on singing until then with joy I'll carry on until the day my eyes behold behold that city unto the day God calls me home is that right yes I've got perfect why a heart can sing when I pause to remember a heartache here is just a stepping stone along the trail that's winding always up this troubled world is not my final home but untilled in my heart will go on singing unto the end with joy I'll carry on until the day my eyes behold the city until the day God calls me home so there it is everybody was song food fight there's my applause yeah I've even gotten applause I got a question for you guys guide me in the right direction here in that Jones book I've already turned it in and they already say it back to me too you know look at all the red marks they put on it but I have this one chapter in there there is a pastor a local pastor who has having some problems you know and as he drives into the parking deck at the wharf I've got him listening to the Gaither Vocal Band doing chain breaker and and so I put a line of it and then talk a little bit and there are no line and that but anyway there's a there's five lines from chain breaker that are interspersed throughout that chapter and and so naturally you know they have come back to me now and said you have to get permission to use those five lines so I said okay well I'll call Bill I guess but I mean that can't be that much of a problem but they want I mean who I mean if I had written a song I'd want it in there you just gotta have the pup find the publisher and whoever the publisher is which shouldn't be hard to find out called on the Nass permission and I'm sure they'll give it to you I would yeah because that is totally exact Williams call because from what I understand he's the writer but is he the publisher I I don't know because the puppy I'm still gonna call Bill cuz if bill calls somebody knows he's gonna tell him no it is very wise it's very true yeah I met Zach and he's fabulous he would be all for it he wouldn't he would love you to do that Daniel John says he loves chain breaker Tami Jordan said Zach Williams they're all listening love the cortisol oh changemaker is a great song and I love the way you guys do it I mean I don't see why well I think Adam just destroys it bill had never heard that song and he right it's true I song on the bus he never heard it I said bill I have a song the Volk man needs to do it was okay and I knew playing it that he would love it and he did he got the forest he he weren't picked he could hear a good song he knows that so when he hears it that's a song yeah and I said bill that's got Adam crab all over it and that was the first song we cut on that on that record was chain breaker and it was I knew right away it was gonna be great I know it's perfect for you I know a song I know a song that Wis should do I thought of this the other day I think we should do that song from the 70s called if if a picture for us who sing that bread for as a love song though oh yeah I mean for words on that a thousand words Heidi I'm gonna bet up then why can't I paint you words we'll never know never show that's a beautiful melody you could just hear wes on that and when my love for life is did it cuz that sails up really high yeah I love you Andy I've never met anyone about music as much as you who could sing as less as you kitty hey Andy you you do to love music don't you I love it my dad was a minister of music my mom was both of them are music majors and I loved it and I you know I tell I tell people there's a difference in a skill and a talent okay it's like you guys can carry a team I can carry a tune but it's different sounds coming out of our voices yeah you know you guys has a gift for that that that you have worked on and worked with and and I I mainly use it to sound like somebody else but boy you use your gifts well very well yes I was I was trying to find this place that where the chain breaker thing is in it and I'll show you how I used it if you want pretty sure I can find it I've got a character that's a 13 year old kid in this book he's bright red hair and this kid is like pranking the town and his pranks are escalating and Jones is kind of doing everybody loves him nobody suspects him of anything but it's a I'm excited about this story and and people sometimes they'll say so why why chain breaker why you put chain breaker in there I said well two reasons one reason is I write books that Christians can give to their non-christian friends that they'll actually read write and create a conversation and so with chain breaker the lines I used it doesn't give away you know the it right in and so and in people are likely as they read it to go I'm gonna listen to that and and and so the reason I had Gaither Boat Vocal Band doing it because the guy have somebody doing it might as well be my friends you know if I can so if I could get my friends in the book I mean them because people are gonna say oh I want the Gaither Vocal Band exactly just like this guy yeah I remember that's how I discovered a restaurant I love now in New York called mr. Chow's I was reading to Mary Higgins Clark novel and she meant try history child's I had to go find it and it's still amazing I heard it is amazing it is the Peking duck Oh oh it's wonderful we have people we have people that come to Orange Beach all the time because you know because of the noticer okay so here it is you don't hear a little of this yeah okay so he's sitting in a car in a parking deck and this is a pastor his name is Burke Roarke alright so pastor Burke Roarke sat alone in the car as he had for the last 45 minutes the will warned Gaither Vocal Band CD was in the player and their song chain breaker poured through the vehicles heat cracked stereo speakers he could leave now he told himself he had done what he had come to do he had seen the old man everyone called Jones he'd heard countless stories about how the old man had helped people turn their lives around it was said he would often do so in a single conversation one part of him desperately wanted to follow the old man inside lately however it was the other part of him that had begun to call the shots for as long as he could remember pastor Roark had fought down the portion of himself that wanted to quit everything he had started to run away from every situation he faced nowadays however as sad as it was he was beginning to accept the judgment of the voice in his head the one that told him he was a follower not a leader Burke had tried to swim against the current but he was obviously a watcher not a doer sometimes not in all ways he was and I'll try not and I will Burke knew he had lost confidence but his sense of adventure had deserted him too he woke up with no energy where was the nerve he'd had as a younger man several years ago a local news reporter had written that Pastor Burke Roark had audacity when his family had read that the description made him proud Burke didn't feel audacious anymore had he lost his courage or was it all just a bluff to begin with he was an if I am able not without a doubt he was a perhaps in the future and had not been a today's the day guy in a long time he had turned into a cautious person who often said we need to stop and pray about it somehow he had backed away from the leader he used to be the man who would step up and say let's get started now we will pray while we work what has happened to me he wondered I accepted a calling a tear escaped the corner of his left eye rolling down his cheek along his nose and into the corner of his mouth the tear tasted salty almost bitter but he was not surprised he was an ordained minister of the gospel and a profession that cried out for anointed lions Burke Rourke had become a designated sheep in a sleepy days the pastor couldn't quite shake he reached to turn the radio off and wondered why the volume had been so high in the first place he glanced to his left and saw the old man's face framed in the rain flicked window Jones smiled at Burke and gave a little wave if you've got pain the Vocal Band sang he's a pain taker the pastor turned the knob but the stereo woman remained the same if you feel lost he's away maker the pastor took a deep breath and looked again to Jones in his window made a hang on a second motion with his hands turning off the ignition instantly stopped the music and the sound of the car's engine the last thing he'd heard before silence enveloped the car was the end of the verse if you've got chains he's a chain breaker that is great oh that's good Wes you back I'm back I'm listening well if anybody wants to get that book they can they can't get it at Amazon but they can get it at Andy and thanks calm right no they can't get that one yeah yeah September September but all the other books oh wait Andy that's gonna be great thank you buddy well I say let's we just need to do this about what is today Saturday I guess every Saturday till this was in here you know 1,400 people still listening well how I met amazing and I love every one of them thank y'all for tuning in Oh someone said can you do why me Lord you know that one why me Lord what if I do deserve even one of the of the pleasures I've known right try me Lord show me Lord oh wait that's that that's the second is it that's the second verse right try me Lord if you think there's a way I could ever repay all I've taken from you maybe Lord I could show someone else what I've been through myself on my way back to you saying with that's too high now it's so healthy Jesus I know what I am yes now that I know that immediate you so help me Jesus my soul's in your hands and it is and you know what the Lord is looking after all of us even if we get the virus and go home our God is good he's always good and you just got to keep looking at from the right side of respect like like Andy said earlier you know 98% of the people live through this thing and what is it 2% die but if you're if you're if you know the Lord and I mean I really still believe this mama made me believe it and I still believe it if you know the Lord Jesus I mean getting out of here may be a little painful but once we cross the river we're home you know and eyes have not seen ears have not heard neither has it entered into the hearts of men what God has prepared for those who love him so just do your best don't live him down here and love people and everything else will take care of itself love God love your neighbor that's what Jesus said on such and all the prophets in the laws you can sum up the entire Old Testament by loving God and loving your neighbor and you it's done and then get into the New Testament and learn about Jesus because he is everything God had to say about himself remember that Jesus is everything God had to say about himself he is the true Living God and the way he loved the outcasts and the broken and the scared and the lonely like some of y'all maybe that are alone and watching this I want you to know you're not alone he's in your heart and you can talk to him alright and I believe that's true that's good I'm a recovering I've been the Mentalist so I don't know as much as I used to but I still believe it's all good and God is good and I want to thank you guys for helping me out today thank you Mark it was [ __ ] you yeah thank you alright I'm gonna hang up on them but y'all don't go anywhere for a minute bye y'all see you tomorrow
