good morning everybody how you doing today my name's andrew hi i'm daniel i'm matt i'm tracy i'm joel and we're some of the veggie boys and we want to thank you for stopping by if you're new here consider subscribing we can do a lot of things on the farm but one thing we can't do is grow this channel without your help yeah yeah i'll mention it oh don't forget to like the video okay welcome back everyone we're getting a little late start this morning on filming we have gotten so much done first off animals are all fed this morning i don't know if you can see all this mud and stuff that we had it was awful there was water everywhere so this morning to cut down on all the sloppy we took all this mud that was here and we cleared it out the best we could and then after we got all the mud out of here we thought it would be best if we bed up our cows so we got some sawdust we brought it in here and we dumped it and everyone looks so comfy i'll run through the stuff that everybody's working on matthew and joel are working on matt's apartment daniel was moving some equipment and cleaning up around the farm with the skid steer loader and then my dad went to see seed customers if you saw one of our recent videos where we had harvested the test plot dad is going and sharing that information with his customers to help them decide what corn they want to purchase for next year farm market's been relatively busy this morning and they said we needed some white potatoes not the big bags just the small ones so i'm gonna get some white potatoes and bags and take them up to the farm market look at the size of some of these potatoes that's huge i don't want to put these in there because this small bag will have like six potatoes in it and i don't think a lot of people just want that boom [Applause] i love this thing right here it's a bag sewer it saves us a lot of times we used to have to wire tie our bags of potatoes but now with this thing you just oop zip the top right up i cannot tell you the amount of times my dad has sewed my shirt with that thing thinking it was funny he'd sew me to a bag of potatoes and that was so annoying to try and get off [Applause] we're going to take our time going up we don't want to lose any potatoes check it out prime parking right in front of the door here you go girls let's see how daniel's doing with his clean up [Music] i'm uh cleaning up the silage because it was uh getting moldy so i cleaned up some of it and putting on the norse prayer just spreading it out in the fields to get rid of it we're at the middle of november now and funny enough it's been like in the 70s i think we even had like 75 degree weather normally our silage doesn't spoil because it's cold enough and it keeps well however because we've had the warm weather we've had a little bit that has spoiled so daniel is taking it out he's going to spread it on the field basically like we're mulching so it's like a fertilizer that we're spreading we usually don't have that problem it's just been too warm i don't understand what's going on with this year daniel just got back with the spreader the wind is picking up guys it's actually starting to get a lot colder out today if you had to rate that spreader on a scale of one to ten what would you give it six or seven really i'd give it a higher one but if it was bigger do we really need bigger though i always need bigger a lot of you guys have been asking about the sauerkraut barrel it's still doing good everything's going to plan just still need some more time it's not ready just yet my brother needed some help with painting so i helped him a little bit now i have something special for you guys you guys see us grow a lot of things on the farm uh pumpkins are no exception we grow a lot of pumpkins and i think pumpkins are so wonderful and i hate when people cut them because i'm like the pumpkin's beautiful don't cut it but anyway that's me don't worry about it uh this pumpkin is so wonderful and big that we want to save the seeds from it [Music] hello oh yeah it smell oh that's rotten so we ran into a little bit of a problem uh yeah that's completely rotten in there so we can't keep those seeds so we're gonna try this one okay let's hope this one's not rotten [Music] oh yeah much better much better oh they smell a lot better that didn't smell the best i'll show you the inside of the bad pumpkin that was really gross now here's the inside of the other pumpkin you can see how all the membranes still there this is what we want oh now the reason why we wanted to use the larger pumpkin because if you take the seed from a larger pumpkin you should get larger plants and larger plum pumpkins in return that one weighed 120 pounds this one weighs like 105 so we're still happy with that but now we're gonna take all the seeds out of here and i'm glad this one isn't rotten because we can't use the seeds from that one that was gross but we can use them from here [Music] oh yeah i love the feeling of this that other pumpkin was so nasty oh that was gross come on now we'll actually take these pumpkins and feed them to cows because these seeds have a coating on them that naturally deworms so we want to use these for our cows so we don't do this with all our pumpkins just some of them i probably should have carried it into the greenhouse and did it in there because my hands are getting cold [Music] oh that's nice i'm so happy you guys are here experiencing this with me now you can tell your family or your friends when they ask what you do today you can tell them oh i watched the guy pull seeds out of a pumpkin and they're going to say to you really you did that and you're going to say yup then you're going to proceed to tell him my favorite part was when he held the pumpkin guts up to the microphone and squeezed him [Music] okay maybe that won't be your favorite [Music] part oh that was nice my hands are freezing right now it is so cold out oh look at that guys there we go that's what i like to see so now that we got all our seeds done grammy's going to clean them all off and then she's what are you going to clorox to me sir i put them in a little clorox water to disinfect them okay so grammy's going to disinfect them clean them and then what are you going to do spread them out to dry and then once they dry they'll keep for us and i just want to show you what look what this girl's doing she's got cookies over there what kind are those pineapple filled pineapple do you have any extra yeah okay so like i was saying uh she made pineapple cookies and also apple dumplings grammy works fast guys the more the puzzle is complete the more you know that it wasn't too busy of a day in the farm market yeah this puzzle has some cool pieces where it makes it easier they go like oh and then you like go to put them in so joel the people are going to be asking what are they going to be asking where's lefty where's lefty so i'm showing them here's lefty can you tell them what you were doing today i was doing some electrical work on the farm so i haven't been working with joel he's doing a one-man job well actually it's like an eight-man job but joel by himself is eight man tracy show us how hard you're working today show me matthew matthew smell that pumpkin [Music] yeah that's not great this is this is my neighbor bill smell the pumpkin for the camera welcome back oh man whoa how did selling corn go went well i was just visiting seed customers talking about the varieties that did well in the test plot and asking them what varieties did well for them and seeing what they'd be interested in for next year take some pumpkin with us as we go down to feed the animals these cows just love pumpkin hi chicken jerry
