Great video, I find the lack of voiceover or soundtrack strangely relaxing.
Great design, the three legs is great, getting a 4 legged stove level can be more work. Hot tenting really is the bee's knees, more people need to DIY stoves.
I would be careful with the CARC paint on ammo cans, that's some toxic stuff...
I dunno', I'd be admittedly a little over paranoid using this inside of a hot tent, what do you think? I'd worry about CO2. I do like to do risky stuff and potentially injury inducing athletic activities with my body but I know what I can do and what I am capable of, but things like the possibility of CO2 just freak me out because it is so unknown.
Also, part of the reason I want to make this would be "because I can".
I would like to make this for a bushcraft situation where you have a somewhat established camp and maybe for heat in a semi-enclosed shelter. I would do it for cooking in a totally open area though. I do like having a flat hot surface for cooking. My wheels are churning about how to have a pot sitting on the surface for a high boil, then maybe raised a bit for a medium, and raised more for a simmer.
If you think this is as cool as I do, people also have used mailboxes for a much lower tech version, although there seems to be a lot fewer videos on them.
