Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Nice try, Nike.
The way that video started I expected to see them snorting blow and drinking in brothels all around the world not giving a fuck. But really it just turned into another "world" viral video.
Thanks for posting, its a cool video and well shot/edited. I can't help but go on a little rant though:
This guy sort of bugs me with his attitude, like when he says 'we have the worst cab driver ever'. people like that just rub the wrong way, cause its like-youre in a third world country, sorry not everything is up to snuff to meet your needs. I've seen a lot of Americans travel who act like the country they are going to owes them everything (even though a ton of Americans treat immigrants to their country like subhuman pieces of shit).
Not all of us have $30,000 to blow in 10 days. personally I think a much better approach is to spend a fraction of that and buy a plane ticket to one place, live there for at least a few months to really experience it, and then use ground transportation to travel around it.
sorry i don't mean to make a negative post, and I agree with the message of the video that people should make more of an effort to get out and have adventures. This guy just comes off as super pretentious, and he is getting so much less out of traveling but trying to fit so much in such little time. it is money poorly spent, but its not like most people have to worry about having that much to spend anyway.
So how many calories did he burn?
I have a pair of shoes with that run thing built in, too bad I only lift weights.
I would be way more inspired by this if there was any chance that I would magically got a ton of money.
...I don't know how I'm supposed to be inspired by this. I feel like this isn't the first post on this subreddit that assumes that we just have bucketloads of money that we're sitting on with no idea how to spend it all.
10 days, $30k. 3k/day and of those 10 days I'll bet 4-5 were spent in airports and on planes. He visited so many amazing places in that video and the whole time he looked rushed.
Fun video. It would have been interesting to see how different people would "Make it count", but it's well done nonetheless.
To be honest, his contiki trip around the world seems a little shallow and unadventurous...
It may be one of the safest, most unimaginative and well traveled roads.
