i'm getting a ticket for riding my bike not in the bike lane get people busting my balls i'm doing the world of favor riding my bike it's pouring rain out here yeah look at this look at these [ __ ] look at this guy double park right here in a bus lane you're not giving him the red light so i got a ticket for not riding the bike lane but often there are obstructions that keep you from probably riding in the bike listen up as you've been hearing on our show and elsewhere the police continue to crack down on biking infractions as the number of bikers explodes throughout the city ticketing is on the rise casey in manhattan you got a ticket this month uh yeah i got a ticket about three weeks ago for riding my bike not in the bike lane not in the bike lane alex is holding up a sign that says you could have just said it okay his sign says not illegal yeah i wish i had known that before i paid the 50 ticket well so you

2011, this was a bit ago. But I’ve never seen it before, I feel behind the times lol.

I bike in NYC and I use the Reported app to notify 311 that a vehicle is illegally parked in the bike lane. It usually takes me less than a minute to do because the app is made so well. Several of my reports have resulted in fines for the offending drivers. I encourage anyone who bikes in NYC, commutes, or is just generally frustrated by motorists using bike lanes as free parking to do the same.
