[Music] hey what's going on beautiful people happy Thursday another hiatus on my part we're a little bit busy doing landscape out there with my company but here we are doing some bill searching so let's look through well my pocket money so you know what to look for in your pocket change that might be worth some profit so let's get right to it so we'll start off with a series 2013 one dollar bill here looks like we got a decent little mix of stuff albeit a lot of ones I think there's a couple fives and tens or something in there but I guess we'll find out I built this up over the last couple of days video should be coming out a little bit quicker at least daily and stuff like that now that I have a little more time but I'll stop jibber jabber series 2013 one dollar note it's a little beat up you can see where it's gotten wet at some point right here serial number would have been nice if we had a two right there then we'd have one two three four five six seven and then well close to a ladder if we had a couple different digits on our Facebook group there was a really really nice ladder note unfortunately it was only one digit away from being a true ladder and would have been worth a few hundred bucks for a one dollar note however that wasn't the case but check out our Facebook group nothing on that on the backside they're a little date note it's August 8 1231 obviously not a birthday note as no one is alive that's a you know 800 years old however we'll look up to see if anything important happen on this date or around this date but hopefully this date but that be a date note it's a pretty cool decent little fine more collectible than valuable but still pretty cool it's printed appropriately there's no shifting in anything so nothing to talk about there on the back of the bill great seal things to look out for would be issues up here close to the 13 stars and the wreaths here sometimes you'll see a little bit of issues around the arrows held in the left Talon of the Eagle on the front of the Great Seal and then down here right above Novus Ordo seclorum is the Norman numerals 4 1776 sometimes you'll get some blurring around there but not the case on this bill something to look out for though serious 2013 we've got like a snap mark right here so that's nice you can immediately tell it's not the ink that came on the bill if you're wondering if it's an ink smear due to the toning of that ink so that's definitely for an ink of some sort however nothing in the serial number K is for Dallas Texas you'll see varying letters for different Federal Reserve Bank's on one dollar Federal Reserve notes and that letter will correspond here the only time this letter on the end would be different as if it was a star note thus a replacement note which if we come across one I will talk further on that nothing really they're serious 2013 $1 now nothing different in the note since 1957 when they added in god we trust' on the back of the bill and since then it has not changed so nothing they're quite a few people ask me about this right here this is a good example because you can actually see it really well I used to call it a blur smudge or whatever it's actually just the ink from the other side of the bill Washington's lapel there showing through on the back of the bill now unless his portrait was really easily seen through the back of the bill I would not call it a collectible or valuable bill or command a premium over face value yeah I've got another date no two years here 13:36 and 1169 and most likely nothing crazy happened during that period that jumps to me off top of my head however I do enjoy historical facts so I will look up these dates see if anything happened between 1169 and 1336 or in either one of those dates as well as that other date note for August 8th 1231 that we came across two second ago on that one dollar note yeah we got some four and smudge holes here that's the scientific term if you're wondering smudge holes uh what else we can see the anti-counterfeiting measures that are thrown into the $5 note we'll probably see some changes to that as $5 bills are becoming more readily counterfeited but nevertheless nothing there 2013 series one dollar note very common to see blurring amongst this up here it's just from when the bill is wet after transfer of the ink the nice little bite taken out of the top there a little bit of over inking on this nine but that's also very very common for serious 2013 I get asked about that a lot but not something to hold on to got a little bit of a of an ink issue here right below the two first two who rather but not really dramatic enough for me to hold on to but another thing to look out for is gonna be ink blurs or over inks or however you want to refer to it over incas the more commonly known name for that type of air 2013 note also quite beat-up so there's not really much to talk about on the front of this note very beat-up it's printed appropriately so it's still worth a dollar and nothing on the back we got keep on keepin on 2013 is probably gonna be the most prevalent series will see in our searches 2007 teens are making their way in there we see quite a few 2009's but nothing crazy as you can see that over ink occurs here and here on this note which is really common so you know unless it's I've held on to maybe two of them that were so over inked on that third digit that I decided to hold on to it I've noticed that latter of the series printings for one dollar notes do not show that over ink but still I wouldn't consider it a major issue to hold on to or command a value more importantly you'll see like here we are on a third one in just these notes that has this over ink do not buy those off of eBay or Amazon or other sites PCGS and APMEX won't even take them or sell them I've never seen them through other auction sites but eBay and stuff like that but that's you know they're trying to church up something that's super common so so don't get fooled don't don't pay four or five bucks for a one dollar note you can literally go get a strap from the bank and probably come across half of in that strap that have that over it because as you can see here's another one nothing really here all these have been pretty good I have been taking note of the location of the seals on the front of the bills to make sure there's no shifting in the print and we've block these around nothing really crazy it's a little bit older note the only changes here are gonna be your signatures just because office changes and stuff like that things to look out for on these are similar to any other year note other than ones that would contain a web note or a mule one dollar note if you're interested in what those are check out my video on web and mewled notes we in fact got a little bit of an Enka down here it's not really dramatic enough for me so I'm going to move on probably cleanest looking no over ink so you can tell it's kind of later in the run printed appropriately things to look for on this also not this specifically but bills would be shifts in the print it's not sitting right on the margins but any bit of blank margin on the outside is acceptable so even if it's really really close to the edge wouldn't necessarily be collectible most of the time you're going to see shifts in the serial numbers and seals since it's part of a three-phase printing process for banknotes and sometimes they get grabbed or shifted what is this [Music] this would be a good now that I'm actually showing it to you in the camera now one way so initially I thought it might be an ink issue the tone is a little bit off and also if you hold it kind of against the light you can see that that black smudge there is an obvious different Sheen and tone of the other ink that's found on the bill very cool if it was an ink issue albeit it's like some marker Sharpie or makeup or something that got on the bill but things to look out for would be over inks or ink smears nice ten dollar note a little bit folded up but nothing to cry about series 2013 which is shown over here on the left on a ten dollar note the only things post early 2000s that they remodeled redesigned rather for the ten dollar notice of course they took off the outline around the presidential portrait here of Hamilton they enhanced the graphics they added some stuff in the back anti-counterfeiting measures some color change ink here here and most no camera over and similarly this is from that same jacket on the presidential portrait in this case Hamilton showing through the back so once again not not a in error I really adore the enhanced graphics on all of the bills I think they look quite beautiful regardless of content of the bill very very good quality sometimes you'll see some smearing of this tree or this tree on the outside con like outside the confines of the center picture here unless it's a I would say those are those are collectible this one's not but just something to look for get down there so nothing in the serial number a little bit of color missing from being folded up and put in pockets and stuff like that series 2013 a little bit of a shift over on the seal but nothing crazy and nothing there once again a light over ink here on that third digit not so much up here so it is a little bit different you'll see that sometimes it does not correspond between the two you'll have an over ink on one or the other or both or neither so that's why I'd say you know it's not a collectible thing nothing else is jumping out on the front of that bill look at the reverse of the bill little bit of ink spotting here but once again that's from the jacket of Washington on the front of the note and it's not dramatic enough for me to hold on to but if you find it collectible then hey hold on to it another over ink on that third digit so like I said very very common a little bit of blurring up here but also kind of something you'll see regularly and nothing on the back 2013 series note also so no 27 teens that we've come across in this search so far and put it over egg nothing there and nothing there good repetition of sixes but not enough to hold on to serious 2006 so quite a bit older and really past its perceived life $1.00 notes have the shortest amount of life but they are used the most out of any US bank note so they get worn out this one's pretty thinned out it'll probably uh it's not it's not an overall bad condition but it's been around for a while so hey show goes to show the quality of the paper and material that's used to print our bill sounds cool okay here we go look at that beauty look at how offset that five is nice so I am excited about that one that is I like to refer to these as odometer bills so just like the odometer in your car sometimes during the second phase of printing when they put down the seals and the serial numbers one of these where they switch the number on the end got a little bit of skew and it prints it high like that this one's actually quite a bit up I would say a low percentage of it is not going to really be a shift in print too much but an odometer bill is where that last digit is ticking up on you like that just like in your car as you can see it does not happen over here so it's very interesting that it's on that side but I'm gonna hold on to that that's it that's a very very noticeable odometer bill so wonderful fine I'm really so psyched about that we'll add it to our date notes but this is a definite definite collection it is an error bill so something to really keep an eye out for it's in great condition overall no major creases I am stoked what an awesome little fine to come across in this bill search go through the last I think three or four bills series 2013 a little bit of something but it looks like it's just some see-through from the other side there no over inks on this bump there we go spoke too soon there we go over ink there on the left-hand side serial number put it on the front there nothing jump it on the back nothing there [Music] very cool I am very psyched about that Oh Dom that's probably one of the most obvious ones that I've come across in quite a while I mean I've been looking through bills for years I have a couple of other odometer bills like that that are shifted prints but I am very stoked about that one nothing on the front of this guy let's look at the back and nothing in there so we'll set that aside let's look at what we did fine we'll start with the first one August 8th 1231 I will look at the date see if it's something something important historically happened on that date and I will put it in the description box we have a double year no tour date note 1336 and 1169 it's the same as before I'll put it in the description box if anything important happen there and then our real find of our bill search totally normal serial number totally odometer or shifted serial number so high I'm stoked about that fine very cool you can see it very easily how high that sitting let me know what you think about the finds in this bill search what you've come across and what you're hoping to find I definitely want to know and we will see each other in the comments otherwise happy hunting and have an awesome day I will see you later and thanks for coming to variety and airs [Music]
