Jan's banter streams are lots of fun and hilarious. I've been watching them for almost 2 years.

Seriously, he explains what's going on and has a lovely sense of humor. He occasionally loses matches, but he wins most. It's blitz chess most of the time, so not too much time to play standard and intuition and gut take over and sometimes clever traps or rare positions make for amusing games

I've seen him lose some games to other high level players or people who make machines work for them, but I'd never before see him be outclassed. His losses usually came through a process where he understood how the game was going and how he was being slowly but surely ground into defeat. This is something else... you can tell that he FEELS outclassed, he doesn't even understand what Magnus is doing. These aren't standard lines or standard choices and yet they're so powerful that I think it's evident to Jan that he's out of his depth. He is pretty sure he's playing against an engine there.

I have a rating of ~1400 (which means I can destroy most newbies in the game consistently). Magnus is rated 2800+.

This means he destroys the players who destroy the players who destroy the players who destroy the players who can destroy me.
