I think I’m one of the few people who actually enjoys Give Me All Your Lovin’. The album kinda a sucked but I’ve always thought the song itself was a cute lil bop
I was on a date while this aired
I was 22 and feeling myself after losing about 100 lbs and it was my first date in my new body. I met a guy on Grindr and he was hot and I was like YES LETS GO ON A DAAAAATE
I knew bars would be crowded because of the Super Bowl so I said, “let’s go to Mikimotos in Wilmington DE, my absolute favorite local sushi restaurant”
As I suspected, the place was at about 25% capacity, my favorite amount of people.
So I go, and I’m the first to arrive. So I sit down and text him that I’m already seated at the bar.
After a few minutes this old man sits next to me, and I’m like “oh sir, I’m saving this seat for a date if you don’t mind” because there were many open seats at the bar for him to go to.
He said “nderhjs, it’s me, your date”
“Surely you are not my date because my date said he is 25”
“Yes, I am sorry. I did lie. I am 50, I’ve been in and out of rehabs for the past 25 years so really I am still 25 in my head”
And I get it, being in the fog of addiction for 25 years, I’m sure mentally he hasn’t aged. But how he thought that was an attractive quality, a 50 year old man with the mind of a 25 year old, I’ll never know.
Anyway I’m not an idiot so I didn’t keep seeing him, but I was poor, so I let him pay for dinner and I bounced but not after watching Madonna on like the 100 inch TV the bar had.
It started so promising and then it went downhill with the guests for me. It was still a good performance but for being THE Madonna Super Bowl performance it could have been so much more.
Only Madonna can turn Nicki Minaj and CeeLo Green into backing singers in the same performance. Not sure about LMFAO...
She should be asked a second time, because way too many songs were left out. As much as I loved to see Nicki, doing the song in full took too long and brought the energy down... Also wtf was that slacklining and LMFAO segment
But that entrance... that's how you recognize an icon.
this is such a great performance. i love how unabashedly gay it is for the halftime of such a "manly" show....
that entrance will always be iconic
