look at all that equipment got equipment everywhere so I gotta fill up and uh Grease the Komatsu Dozer this morning I'm gonna use it back over here on the big pond project so uh starting tomorrow it's supposed to start raining and rain for the rest of the week and they're calling for like up to like five inches of rain so it's not great for uh finishing the project but it's uh it won't hurt anything so what I'm going to do today is take the little Dozer go up there and grade the head section out since it's drier than it's ever been get all that dirt put where it needs to be then I'm probably going to come back down in here and cut this last little section out right here by the uh Beach that way if it does get some uh well it's not if it does it will if the pond does come up uh even to that high right there it won't affect anything and then all I have left is that clay over there that I gotta dig out which uh won't be the end of the world I can go down there and pull some of that up but uh yep that's my goal today get that graded out come down here get the rest of this little bit of clay out and cut that section out right in there and uh whatever else I get done is just that much more to get done all right so I'm making the uh for pass on all the all the very first thing when I started this project it's dried out nicely now I'm barely leaving a track print in the ground so I'm gonna work all this down the hill and then go up there to the Head section and finish spreading that dirt out and see if I can't cut those Meadow strips in and then just uh pretty much see what the weather does as far as doing anything else up here but I'm pretty much once I get it to look like that that's good enough for them to be able to plant uh soybeans on it they're gonna commandeer all this back as a Farmland hopefully well I've just spent the last three hours on the Dozer I didn't even take any video of it it's kind of boring watching me go back and forth 500 times but I bleed it over all that got the meta strips cut in here one coming up through there that one's going to kind of come down and tie in I'll eventually come back and put in some drain tile from the grass down to the pond to kind of keep that drain down during the wet season but right now it's really not too bad a little wet spot still right there so now they can incorporate all this back into the field that over there and then probably almost another three quarters to maybe 7 8 of an acre a Farmland right there that they can gain back to the pond here so recoup and uh saved all that Land by digging all this out putting that dirt up in there to make it usable again I'm gonna go down there he wants to make the beach a little bit bigger I'm going to cut that in there go down there with the excavator finish placing those stumps because most likely all that's going to be covered up with water after it rains as much as they're calling for and then I'm going to go back into the pond and start digging a little more dirt out so I'm heading down here to the entrance the pond is back there behind me the new driveway is going to come in right through here following these flags while I just drove past that one and then tie back in so I got a very well not a very steep but I got a hill right here and all that needs to be filled in so I'm gonna go ahead and strip the wheat and everything off where the um Road's going to go I can dump on my topsoil and mess over here and then start dumping some clay right in here for the road bed [Music] foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign so the head section is completed up there all nice and leveled out so that way I don't have to deal with doing that after it rains I extended the beach out a little bit more Peach pushed some more uh dirt up there against that slope there to kind of soften that I'm gonna spend the rest of the day cutting this section right here out and getting all this out and hauled up there to where I just stripped off the uh old hay with the Dozer to build the road that's going to start coming down here beside the pond so there's one thing I hate and that's being rushed and now I'm rushed because there's five inches of rain coming to get as much done or hauled that needs to be hauled before it becomes such a mess do it I don't know why this Sandy topsoil is sticking into trucks so bad the other day two bucketfuls in here thank you Break It Loose with the excavator bucket then I run the thumb through there because it's about six inches narrower and it fits kind of in the bottom there and finishes breaking out in this dirt that's stuck in there the bucket tines won't reach because it's too wide careful swipe a little off the sides but not pocket down so it sticks in the truck that's probably better than it was well I know it's better than it was all right we'll go over here and get set up back the truck down here and I'll uh thank you for a ride on the uh the first drive up there kind of explain I think I got it set up where I can come out right here go down where the driveway is going to be and come down by the pot down and drive back in here trying to set this up where uh walking so far between here in the truck still a lot of material here all right let me go get the dump truck and load out a load let's get some dirt out of here now level up because I am rocking all over the place here that is very annoying trying to load the truck there we go all right start cutting some of this out loading it into the truck and taking it up front I'm going to put the Hail Mary loads on it because I need to get as much done as possible before the rain gets here I just had one more week I would uh I'd be done I have the Overflow in pond grated out seated strawed but such is life all you can do is deal with the uh weather that you're giving in I guess I was very fortunate for the nice weather that I did happen last week uh get all that dirt moved because as everybody has seen it can get very wet out here [Music] foreign so I get this cut out and I'll come back in here later with the Dozer before I leave today and just trim this out get it slicked up because it is out from the uh Beach area the way everything's nice and smooth you have to be eight feet tall touch the bottom right here but if they do it'll be a smooth grade it's just a little Ridge right here not a whole lot but just enough where you want to make it a little deep they may put one of those floating clay they got some kids area out here if you dive off of it you know hit the bottom [Music] all right go uh haul a load of dirt now all right I'm gonna take you on the uh road trip here to where the dirt's got to go explain what's Happening Here it's a little bit of a haul here but got to be done and this is a good place to get dirt so I kind of saved this because I knew I was going to be doing the road a little bumpy [Music] so this right here still got to be cut out but I was leaving that for my ramp plus it's good topsoil I can use that at the end so the new driveway is going to tie in right here go by the pond then Circle back by that tree line and we're going to abandon this Old Road right here so I've been hauling up topsoil and dumping it there on the edge so that uh once that Road's put in we can take that and push it across here and just kind of fill this in you'll never know there was a road here and all this can be turned back into Farmland field and pasture but uh down here where the road is tying back in is a pretty good size drop off as you can see and all this needs to be filled in so I'm going to start dumping dirt right here and filling in this kind of a triangle right here and then when I get into some good clay I'm going to start dumping it right there for the uh driveway ramp up to the existing Road where it's going to tie into let me dump this and I'll show you I'll take you down the path where the new roads going to go this might get slightly bumpy because there's a lot of clay in that we've still got some topsoil in it where I'll spread all that out and then save that topsoil to top dress at all there's a whale right there he wants to leave for future irrigation or whatever for stuff up here but the new road is going to go right through here so you'll come in off the main road come in kind of stay off the tree line a little bit it's very bumpy going against the rose it's gonna hook down here and then curve back up and go inside the spillway those flags might have to be moved up just a touch make that a little more graceful and then it's going to go pretty much right down here to tie back into the road that way every time you come in you get to drive beside the pond and look at it all right and I built me a little ramp right here so I can just make a circle and I have to back up driving down in the pond so if we get five inches of rain I have a feeling that this right here is going to be flooded so that's why I'm trying to get this dug out today even if I have to work till dark making pretty good progress this is load number 12 about to head out put it up probably got another 12 or 15 loads here I would say I'm working on this for about an hour and a half ago yeah I forgot what time it was so get this Edge cut out there's actually a fair amount of clay I left it and that's going to work out good for taking it up there on that road and I got that real nice red clay over there to use to top dress everything this might be a little a little bit spongier I know that right there is nice and dry I don't know how dry it's going to be after the storm but it may still be there [Music] you know this cut out just going to keep working my way back this whole side out because there's a lot of runoff that's going to come down through that meta strip right there and it's going to flood this out got awful mess so that's why I want to go ahead and get all this cut out and blade it off with the Dozer so I don't have to worry about it [Music] [Music] [Music] all right I'm gonna go dump that come back again and again and again and again load number 20. I'm gonna put that up here on the very end bring the Dozer over here and go ahead and knock this down and uh I'm just going to roll it in with the truck load up the next load still probably got another 10 or 12 loads to dig out bring those up here and get all that spread and rolled out rolled in uh hopefully before it rains [Music] thank you foreign foreign thank you foreign foreign foreign and I gotta go up there and spread the dirt out with the Dozer but first we'll do run down here and the Very these roots and there's uh three stumps I'm gonna go ahead and place those in the bottom of the pond because I don't have to come back down here before I get sidetracked and forget because I'm pretty sure the rain that's going to come is going to put enough in here to cover all these stumps up where I can't see them anymore and I prefer them to be where I want them try to stand this one up and mash it down [Music] [Music] get most of these buried in the ground so they don't float up there's still going to be a few sticks and everything that float up my roots anything you can do about it at least there won't be those big chunks okay let's see if this stump will stand up Mash down in the ground like that right there match that Root Down it should still probably be 12 feet 10 or 12 Feet Under it was full probably more than that that's the beach right there and he said you wanted to stump right there we just want to make sure that if they ran a zip line across or something hit it said I would make it so that wouldn't happen a few more stumps up here take this one on the right and stick it down in my other little Pond I've got going right here grab that great big Sycamore stump take it down there to that ditch and plump it over in there we're going over [Music] [Music] so that thing gets saturated I'm gonna put a scoop of dirt over top of it to hold it down so it doesn't float up shouldn't float out stuff's pretty heavy but this one right here I'm gonna have to put some dirt in it because there's there's no nothing left of it I don't know I would still probably put some dirt on it because if that thing floats up I don't I have to I don't know how I would get it out with excavator I guess but I need this one who don't think these heavy stumps will float Bob like a boat with no dirt in there to weigh it down put this one over here in this uh ditch right there so that ought to make a nice little fish habitat [Music] stumps [Music] foreign it shouldn't float but another I think 100 pounds of dirt ain't gonna hurt anything [Music] all right so I got that ditch right there that's got a hole down there a little call for damn another pit and then another little damage there and some stumps so try not to get too crazy because they are going to use this a lot for let's say the big beach is going to go right here and they're going to put up probably one that is floating bouncy houses or whatever right there so I don't want a lot of obstructions anywhere out in here that you could dive off into and hit it it'd be good to go on that I'm gonna go jump on the Dozer go blade that off come down here and straighten this up real quick take that load up there and roll it in and finish cutting uh however many loads it is to get up there shaping up shaping up that's load number 21 I'm gonna go up there I got that spread out and drive over that pack it down and haul a few more to uh finish getting this little corner right here dug out and I'll come back in here and blade this out and and dig it down a little deeper [Music] last load for today so this is actually load number 32. the load of topsoil I'm going to bring it up here to roll in everything the tires kind of leave it a little Slicker finish so it shouldn't Pond up too bad and stay relatively dry if it rains a lot I can just dump it over here on the edge but uh I got the far side cut out and uh just some topsoil left in the Cove up there I got enough red clay left to finish this right here and that topsoil is enough to top dress everything there should be enough clay left if I have to add a culvert here and there then I can just waste the rest of that so I'm just gonna run over this real quick and flatten it out with the truck and uh I'll take the Drone and give you a little flyover of what everything looks like well I can honestly say that this equipment right here has earned its keep on this project I got to lock that up put all the stuff in the truck I'm gonna do a quick little flyover because I have a feeling this is going to look a lot different whenever I'm back over here to work when it dries out after all that rain so I got uh all that graded up there today and 32 loads pulled out from right here and right here so all that's left to do is just cut out this little bit of topsoil from like he goes like right there and right here and uh that corner over there for my uh a couple little cover Crossings so I'm gonna go ahead and uh send the Drone up and show you a few pictures [Music] foreign [Music] [Music]
