what's up guys ak Scott here playing luigi's mansion for the Nintendo 3ds although I actually own two copies of the original GameCube game it's been years since I played it so this will likely feel like a brand new experience for me I of course played Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon on my channel five years ago and it's been a tremendous success in fact its first episode has over 80,000 likes and over 17 million views making it my second most popular video ever I will be thrilled to this video got even a fraction of that so thanks in advance for any likes and comments you can give me on this video series also thank you for subscribing we just hit three point three million subscribers that is awesome and I cannot thank you guys enough I'll do my best to bring you even more amazing videos just leave a comment letting me know which games made you subscribe and which games you'd like to see me play in the future now without further ado let's play Luigi's Mansion here we go alright I'm on the first floor the foyer very creepy also seems a little small to be a mansion right but that's okay can I do anything let me get used to the controls really quick okay if I hold this then I can look up by tilting the 3ds okay it's been a while since I played this game or even dark moon so very musical door what about the main door downstairs oh there's a ghost already the throne ghosts at me I ain't afraid of no ghosts how cool he left me a key did he put out those candles I can't tell if you put them out or temporarily lift them but I got a key so we don't want to see that ghost ever again but we probably got to go that way so Oh lightning scary let's go go go go go all right through this door where the ghost just went of course hmm so if I hold down the button the flashlight goes off but there's not like a toggle for it okay let's put the key in the keyhole hmm no he's shaking luigi is scared of ghosts can't blame him that was pretty scary oh he gets all right all right he's gonna vacuum them up the ghost is leading him astray oh did he punch him what that is a meme ghost I am so sorry professor I'm sorry ouch oof I sure take a lot of knocks in this line of work I'm getting too old for this ghost catching tomfoolery anyway nice to meet you I'm professor egad this house I swear it seems to have more ghosts every day what's a young feller like you doing around here anywho even more come on it's a trio of ghosts oh oh this looks ugly yes they do all right youngster it looked like we follow me posthaste all right it's been a while since I said the word posthaste but here we go so your name's Luigi I think our paths were destined to cross well met Luigi hmm where is this you ask why these cozy quarters are where I do my ghost studying professor egads ghost research laboratory the lab if you're if you're of a shortening mind okay yeah so this is the lab you won this mansion in the contest you didn't even enter sounds pretty fishy to me so you believe the mansion actually exists then strange I've been living here since I was a lad of 20 or so and I'll tell you that mansion appeared just a few days ago the spirits have fooled you I don't know if it's a dream an illusion or what off button I surely want to be too happy winning a haunted house now that I get a look at you I just recalled a guy with a red hat kind of like yours went up to the mansion without even stopping to chat and he never returned was he a dream - no that's Mario what that guy was your brother oh no that's horrible he wouldn't stand a chance against those ghosts without my help you have to go after him here's the plan I'll teach you to deal with ghosts so you can rescue your brother Luigi oh right oh ho let's learn let's learn how to deal with these ghosts standard or sidestep movement style there can be change to the option so I'm gonna go ahead and let's go pad will control the size definitely walk facing in one direction now standard seems fine a regular flashlight shining its light on ghost will surprise them use the a button to turn it off and then this is the strobe bulb use the a button to emit a powerful ghost scaring light charged up to increase the area it affects I don't know let's go with original will figure it out that's the vacuum cleaner I engineer to catch ghosts I call it this is genius the poltergeist 3000 it can suck up all kinds of things let her rip use arted vacuum and the motion controls to change your direction okay let's give it a go there's the gameboy horror hahaha on the second screen there okay no matter how strong you think your brother is ghosts are mysterious beings they can't be caught using conventional means so you'd better use this it's the only way to full them to foil em this is the only thing they fear or something to that effect well how's about we start your training okay let's train Oh ghosts seem to like darkness and they avoid the light so if you hit them with a flash light beam all of a sudden you can stun and momentarily then it's vacuuming time when you see your chance hold down our and slide the circle pad in the opposite direction just give it a try you'll learn more that way than just listening to me Yap about it alright so alright okay I'm already I'm already confused okay what okay hold on sprays shoot elements hold on oh I got that time okay god I'm perfect okay well done that's how you do it Luigi while vacuuming hold be to use the circle pad to turn as you vacuum okay let's give it a go okay interesting although hey I didn't get him though okay hold on having some difficulties here got him got him perfect okay surprise it with the light and when they get close zing pow right in the opposite direction got it okay the real training starts now okay that was already did I get him ghosts won't always show up alone but the basics are the same now get ready for two ghosts I got this one at least get two or more at the same time and something good may happen okay I got him but I didn't get two at the same time hey kid shape up you won't be able to help your brother at this rate look they're coming okay I'm so confused all right I forgot that I have to stun them with my flashlight I'm sorry I get to that time that was pretty good right catching ghosts means using the flashlight and the poltergeist 3000 as a team you get me young feller all right that'll do well how many did you get I don't know not too many I guess before that in goes not so bad it was I keep forgetting to a blast of the flashlight first fine fine looks like you worked up quite a sweat there how about a little cool down in the gap I'm quite proud of it you know all right so I got to make sure to do the flashlight of course of course welcome to the gallery I had 25 paintings once upon a time my famous ghost collection was complete but now only the frames remain is a shame a tragedy by the way Luigi I have a favor to ask do you see that Gameboy horror you have in your hand it has lots of features to help you as you explore the mansion for example you can view the map on the screen or you can check the items you've collected and I built a part that that will add even more functionality but I guess I left it in the room in the back how forgetful would you mind heading to the room in the back to find that part press X is shake and bang on furniture furniture it's back there somewhere alright doesn't it backed it like this room in the back mm-hmm let's go find it alright so I kind of have a map at the bottom here oh yeah this is furniture alright what the heck oh wow is this it you got the part for the Gameboy horror it looks somewhat familiar now do I go back to him or do I go investigate this thing I probably go back to him right but I'm banging on furniture let's see do I go back to him or do I I don't know let's see I mean obviously that looks like something to do but I want to go back to him to make sure that you know I have the right parts and whatnot oh there's a door because just because I can see through it doesn't mean it's not there okay I got it I got it oh that part is exactly what I was looking for let me just get it attached alright so there we go Gameboy horror alright excellent the search function has been added to the Gameboy horror thanks for adding thanks for going to all that trouble Luigi you should try out the search function in the gallery just press Y all right is this the gallery is this count oh wow so here we go [Music] this was very carefully balanced oh so I'm looking at like different things in like getting info about them looks ordinary a little too ordinary okay now okay let's see if I if I do it here what happens this inspires me to paint alright and so the gallery you know what is he wanting me to do with this search function here there are a lot of paintings I guess I'll go to the big flashing one that makes sense right holy cow what is this a generator I wonder if he built it all by himself this is pretty cool and yeah these are all away what's what's this creepy I probably shouldn't touch this all right I'm with you I'm with you mm-hmm just a regular old frame okay well I'm gonna go now to the big shiny frame downstairs that clearly was a calling for me so let's go over and see what we can find out they got Christmas colors on green and red so here we go mm-hmm all right let's say let's give this a go and then if this doesn't work this inspires me to paint okay so I'm gonna just go does he want me to go in here cuz I'll go I'll try it here we go I can't tell what he wants me to do hmm it's just a regular old frame okay no she doesn't okay what am I supposed to do maybe I should have used it on him mm-hm think that was the key let's see don't you wear I'm to you now are you done appreciating art for today Luigi where am I hey what's okay anyway let's just go back to the lamp go back to the lab all right then hmm I didn't know if I should have looked elsewhere but I mean we got to progress this story on words right what do you want to do Luigi uh-oh what's this over here whoa what in the world is happening is that you phew it's finally connected hmm why do you look so surprised there are two of me hello I'm future professor egad how nice is for the future that explains everything I like you guys to do something for me I'm calling you from the future whoo Luigi my boy don't look so surprised okay what do you want me to do oh boy what is this future language I can't read this all squares oh my gosh some really high-tech future what is this some sort of slime oh my gosh what the heck allow me to introduce this green doppelganger I call him GUI Jie I created him in your likeness he's also skilled with the poltergeist like you however if I'm being honest he still needs a little testing interesting okay which is why I'm talking to you all right I'm outsourcing testing for GUI G to you and past me isn't time-travel great if you can't if you could help me with the test how about you take Luigi with you and do some exploring okay okay Oh take good care of Kui gee he burns and melts really easily oh gosh poor guy what a life to live even if he's defeated he can revive as many times as he once what if he doesn't want to was it taking care of GUI G all right see a professor of future professor okay me from the future calling me out of the blue I didn't expect that it is quite an invention I'd expect nothing less from the future me and the future me has asked for our help we have to oblige Luigi my boy when you want to take GUI G along to the mansion all you have to do is select play co-op in the lab okay so this is if I wanted you to op with somebody but I don't think I'm gonna be doing that soon what do you want to do Luigi all right so let's go the mansion I guess is what we're gonna do right careful now Luigi so I've learned all I need to know we're going to the mansion again he's waving me on see ya professor so this mansion just appeared recently and this is where Mario supposedly went [Music] so here we go let us let us play let's get on with it that was a pretty good intro oh there's toad toad what's up [Music] boo-hoo-hoo-hoo where did you go Mario Wow huh Luigi wow it's Luigi you finally made it up joy thank goodness me well Princess Peach asked me to come here to look for Mario he left when he heard that you'd won a mansion and he never returned then when I arrived here the mansion was full of ghosts and I didn't see Mario anywhere and I kind of freaked out a little I didn't know what to do it spin awful please please please you have to help me find Mario if he doesn't get back you have no idea how upset the princess will be she'll flip leave it to me I just say goodbye goodbye yeah thanks Luigi you made my dark and stormy night alright great well let's go get Mario I wish I could do something to help you wait I've got it at least let me do this ok so he's the same spot okay so I'm gonna save sure why not don't to lose this precious progress I've made so far all right talk to me for help anytime okay so um what do I need to do what does this do can I back you MIT up what happened oh wow that moved oh geez that hit me okay let me move a little bit I got it oh my gosh I got it this is a mirror huh what's the mirror do and I my flashlight on do i oh wait is this gonna move again No huh I don't know if I'm supposed to know what to do there yet or not yeah Mario let's go through here okay I can't it's locked okay that's fine yeah I'm like I don't know let's go upstairs Oh coins perfect [Music] and I got those spiderwebs if I can do anything with those so I'm gonna try get the spiderwebs here more coins of course and then let's see this will open what do i do I have to just go back whoo-hoo I know there were ghosts last time all right let's go and maybe we can find him this time we got to shine some lights on them yeah Oh a bunch of coins all right I don't know how much stuff I should shake but I'm gonna try to shake everything that I can some of these points are hopping around Mario [Music] I'm getting a little nervous to be honest oh wow is that paper money [Music] Mario alright nothing else all right perfect I don't know if getting the spider webs does anything but I got it here sorry really this is locked too what about this table clock can I take this off oh wait who put out my candles you mr. lime-green well dark rooms are dangerous around here yes they love the dark and now they will get you blue hey okay now you're in for it just like little red cat before you oh no they're gonna team up on me may you wonder lost the darkness forever are you afraid of the dark little man are you huh ha ha here they are now Oh No oh boy I got one come on now come on now there's one so they got the flashlight all right find you there we go got him had a little rough tutorial but I totally forgot about the the entire point which is a shine flashlights on these guys got him cleared the room oh I got a treasure too [Music] all right get a another key now is that for that door right there or does it go down below I don't know oh it goes for there for sure okay who's whistling with me all right then the creepy creepy area let's do this no no here we go come on now got it oh god I'm kind of gonna gotta get him this one has the count down to 20 and he didn't knock it away perfect all right so I didn't get that one we gonna begin excellent I need that excited damage from that falling thing oh forget about this one thanks behind me all right we'll get em oh-- get em oh-- get em oh-- gonna got him - nice okay room cleared super awesome these vases just have doubt there we go gold bar that's nice alright let's go in now okay what is there any specific thing I need to do like you know if I use this is there any reason that I'm doing this what's this an antique okay well I don't know we'll find out what about if I just like look up is there anything like as a thing I'm not I don't really remember what this mechanic is all about so hmm let's move on this this room sounds scary geez all right got him got him gotta get him get him this was big this is big hold on I'm ending this game you leave this guy it's something a banana you gotta be kidding me I got him got him all right only 15 seconds left for this guy oh we got a green ghost gotten you thought I was green I was really hoping to get the other guy too but I keep slipping geez man he has ten seconds left let me have him all right got him - I wonder there's a better way a ghost Gold collector nice oh my goodness is there anything to do with these clothes oh no now right completed this room as well there's a key up there awesome got it - all right and that locks a door down okay we'll figure it out now can i unlock a neat like so okay like can I look at myself it's me oh whoa oh my gosh what what I was not expecting that to be honest are you kidding me what was this did I just like load my game or something are you kidding me no spider webs are back but okay but this stuff that was so creepy I didn't realize that was a thing so that's good to know what a dreadful picture but that candle next to it might be important okay so that was B if I if I was still trying to solve the puzzle okay so that makes sense okay well uh let's go back where we work I thought for a second there since that the spiderwebs were back and that curtain was back covering the mirror I thought that maybe I just like reloaded the game for my last save point or something crazy I'm glad that wasn't the case is there anything like over on this wall that there's clothes I don't even know about this stuff now that I look at it it's full of moth holes Nick so there's lots of like little hidden things you can do here very interesting uh you can get a look around the room like totally okay well let's head this way again although I do have a different driver keeper here or not oh it's toad it's crying again what's why are you crying buddy wah-wah Mario where are you huh Luigi yes Luigi how lucky that you found me I feel so much better now please please please save Mario I looked everywhere I can't find a where is he all right I'm on it I'm on it now can he save my progress too or sure let's go ahead and save it okay [Music] saving complete let's vacuum up some plants No all right what about if I look at toad you look happy right you know I never noticed how lovely those poker is those red polka dots look on the top okay I get a good view of this area like the creepy is a full moon can take a picture that my debate no that didn't work all right well let's just go but what if I look over the balcony there's anything notice the wall okay you know I've always got to test the limits of what the game provides so all right so now we have since I have a key to the wardrobe room and now I have a key down here to go left so let's do it this is excuse me this is exciting I'm not here it was down here all right I have a key to go over wait I have a phone call hold up a sec Luigi it's me professor egad and it's like spirits stronger than we've seen yet lurking around I think it must be some of those escaped gallery ghosts you should know that if they're really different from the other ghosts you've seen so far they don't show their hearts very easily nope not at all when you find one you should first use Y to search its heart for clues sometimes you can learn the best way to surprise him well Luigi I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all right so we got a look at their hearts what am i a surgeon the mention luigi is a surgeon but there's dr. Mario so if Luigi MD alright here we go [Music] they don't show their hearts oh I mean this is awesome but also scary alright so whoa what the [Music] okay I can't move with this they just they're taking my okay excuse me what okay this is becoming a little bit scary down to 80 health because I'm just trying to find out what these are all about show me your hearts even have hearts okay let's look at these doors okay well here's a room so we're in here we're in this study oh my gosh there's a beating heart right there holy cow hoho go ahead try to find me I can see you but you cannot see me hohoho anywho I'm getting very sleepy so what do i excuse me all right what what do I do [Music] I'm confused what to do ERD throw all the books at me like what's this an antique oh wait it just happened I think it just happened this guy they put me in a real oh my goodness I'm trying to get these things I try to get these things excuse me what's this this is purple thing what's why didn't get some cool things I guess so when he gets sleepy he shows me his heart I guess all right it's still beating so how does he get sleepy oh by rocking him probably right okay I have no idea this is what happens all right let me read this again all right try to find me I can see you but you cannot see me I'm getting very sleepy oh well does it ghost here hold on this is more important maybe I feel like I'm about to get him his heart's nice I can I get that I did get this now right so I get another key to unlock more doors I was so interesting I don't know if there any more ghosts around now that it's lit up I couldn't pick up that purple thing though so that's real sad [Music] I try to go through here or through here oh whoa it's a fake door fake me out holy cow I think it where health huh tap the little guy huh wait what about this this is a locked door okay I don't know if I get anything from getting these guys another locked door another fake door okay watch out for those fake doors none a 44 health crazy alright so this one's probably a fake door as well right maybe hmm let's give it a shot I have a key to this door okay don't be scared Luigi hmm this is the master bedroom I need that really bad there was definitely a ghost here is it my hair just gorgeous of course I do spend a lot of time on it I was so bored cooped up in that painting now I spend all my time in front of the mirror it seems to scare people though so everything is coming up roses so how do I get her oh look at the curtains like that wins [Music] I got one I got one am i small nice shrink what a nice shrink okay I did all right let's move this so no I'm gonna still move it just to see if there's anything there but this you move and then her hair you know here we go again get ready I don't know what's shrinking did for me but here we go awesome another treasure chest the Mario can get this treasure another key okay mostly just keys these treasure chests that was the master bedroom so that unlocks an area south of me just out of curiosity what if I look at the bed I could just curl up there and sleep until dawn not necessary we got a we got a ghost adventure I could not sleep here how could you sleep here Luigi oh my gosh oh boy I am getting scared [Music] well let's give it a try [Music] we're in the hallway right now and we're moving into this room just south of here we're still in the second floor oh my gosh oh nice I need that too all right he has a heart horsie rocky horsie all right so that's my clue oh my gosh what is this oh my god scary if you look closely you can tell it's really just a photograph that's what they want you to think [Music] okay well I rock the horsie Oh what what's hi hi baby hey wanna play with me no ghost oh geez how do I play what do i do what do i do Oh what I do I don't like this game now I vacuumed up one of these toys though do you try to hit me alright there's another toy I'm gonna hear by the way got it now we're gonna throw at me maybe I can rock the horse again okay all mine wait wait oh my gosh can you not okay help trying to punch me Louise you why are you looking up I'm trying to figure out to do boy oh boy come on no he punched me he punch me don't laugh don't laugh at me oh I got it that time what's he doing now you gave me an owie I just wanted to play with you I hate grownups why do you have to be bigger than me I've had enough small now grow smaller small itsy teeny little wee Gaga goo goo gah oh no no I don't want to be small unless he grows bigger that'd be terrible too Oh No what the heck is this this oh no oh no I'm quite terrified of this lots of rocking horses [Music] hey baby [Music] uh-huh that is those terrifying is a lint roller no that's a rattle of some sort baby just winked at me I gotta go I gotta go I gotta go I gotta go I gotta go what do i do what do I do what I do Oh that's it wasn't even paying attention to the horse I was looking at the baby rattle he's distracting me this what he's doing can you come here cutting grab your bib or something wait no okay all right can I have one of these ha got you oh now think it's time to try to vacuum you up [Music] I'm trying to get him I mean I'm going in opposite directions I'm doing okay how did he hit me he hit me that's okay it's okay yeah I know you're not a happy baby you need a nap I was taking that big bad over there to sit you down and cover up with the covers and leave you alone forever very scary okay all right we doing the same type of thing I've done some horsies first all right no I ran the wrong way okay [Music] alright this will be mine please thank you what I missed him he laughed at me to [Music] dodge so I think I've learned this pattern but alright let's get some of these balls that he throws at me even more even more okay here we go all right don't worry I'm charging there we go if I got him almost half way last time I'm trying to go in opposite direction of him he's really messing this up for me though what okay okay Lisa don't lose any health for that bet attempt he's a nightmare cry man he's doing the worm Oh No okay Don to the horses again these are faster they're really faster how many you doing I got done - please say it just - nope oh my god just two more okay please say that's all this baby is okay so one of these is gonna stop right here we go don't laugh at me don't laugh at me don't have to mean baby get it - no I missed him again I'm gonna dodge horses again okay okay it's okay all right and the double doozy comes and I gotta just hope that I could yeah there we go okay now play dodge ball all right one of these is just gonna stop right there it is and I gotta be darn sure I line this up got him oh yeah and then also vacuum him up sixteen ten nine eight seven six five four three okay got him oh boy oh boy now that was a fight awesome okay that's basically a boss fight right and we got the golden treasure right here in the nursery awesome very cool all right and that key goes somewhere else entirely I got a call all right cuz it Luigi that's all I can say Luigi can you hear me oh thank goodness you're okay I lost contact with you all of a sudden yeah I was a tad worried hmm you seem to be a bit tuckered after tuckered out after that long battle don't you why don't you come on back to the lab when you vacuum Abbas ghost your poltergeist 3000 gets pretty much fooled to bursting but ho ho I guess you showed that bus ghost who's boss indeed I did that was incredible Oh baby so back to the lab good job Luigi you made it back in one piece take a gander at this this fine piece of work took nearly 20 years to develop I call it the ghost porta fication Iser this machine lets us turn the ghost you catch into paintings not only that it works in Reverse - how do we use it you ask well it's simple just plug that Poltergust 3000 into that slot and enjoy the ride my boy all right let's see able to go okay oh yeah [Music] for ghosts well now it's gonna be a painting the vice-versa things what worries me is this how all these go through they all paintings and then they became ghosts the ghosts are invisible so we need to press them into visible forms and presto turn them into beautiful ghost portraits so beautiful so we got like four portraits right the whole family hmm well we managed to turn those ghosts back into paintings thanks for your help Luigi all right now you've caught Neville who else Lydia this is an area one Chauncy okay so I guess we got three ghosts very cool there we go all right so playtime feels longer than that it feels like twice as long but okay goes to beat it 24 total ghosts alright not bad not bad alright save yeah save nice progress and then what happens just to see what it was what do you want to do Luigi good question we go back to the mansion we go to the gallery I don't know what they made us do it even looks can amiibo I will showcase amiibos in the future
