[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] well [Music] [Music] well good evening everybody hard to believe but this is it our very last session of the 2017 I Double A of World Athletics Championships it has been absolutely enthralling from start to finish if you missed our festival of race walking this morning where have you been what have you been doing on this fine Sunday for great races in the mouth and now the attention turns to the track once more for one last night of drama my goodness me we had drama and then some last night huge climax to the evening with the two four by ones and Great Britain denying the Americans would you same bolt sadly limping off the track big night tonight we have seven finals for you that's the view outside as people make their way in it's around about half 6:00 local time here in Great Britain and here is what we've got to look forward to over the next two and a bit hours it'll be a quick old night this one men's high jump final they're starting in just over half an hour's time bashing aiming to finally become a senior at world outdoor champion women's discus final should be a good one but women's 5000 meter final Alma's Ayana hoping to secure the double but remember she was brilliant in the 10 last year in Rio and ran out of steam in the five the women's 800 meters caster Semenya hoping to join Maria Mutola as a three-time world champion that phrase that spell cube drop can he make it four in a row over the 1,500 meters three-time champion and we finish for the two relays the women's 4 by 4 and the men's 4 by 4 and at some stage I am reliably informed we have an opportunity to say goodbye to Usain Bolt who is doing some kind of lap of a little bit cloudy this evening beautiful weather this morning on the mouth for the men's and women's 50k walk first time in history we've had a women's 50k Canary Wharf we've got used to this view over the last 10 days we'll miss this when we wake up tomorrow morning that's the warm-up track you're listening to myself Rob Walker and alongside me to my left Steve over to my right to Catherine Mary and they are both also very much looking forward to this last night of action change of disappointment guys that it's gonna finish but all good things come to an end indeed but one last night and there is what an ester bashyam now from the best high jumpers of all time he looked wonderful in qualifying got a feeling he might jump high here tonight it'll be the first event to get underway tonight 7 o'clock UK time jebel coke second best Jumper in the world this year national champion seventh in the European doors but he's got over 235 didn't qualify for Beijing or Rio but he seems to have made a step up in class this year the 25 year old getting himself poised and ready the men's high jump one of two field events tonight Lysenko the Russian national champion he's an authorized neutral athlete hence the a and a winner of the Youth Olympics only 20 years of age third best Jumper in the world this year with 234 bashing the favorite but strangely he's never won a global senior outdoor title is this the night he delivers or will lie Senko or maybe even Bondarenko deny the man from Qatar the gold Robert grab ours equally season's best with a 231 in qualifying for a bronze here back in 2012 he's not necessarily jumping at his absolute best his Peavey's 236 but he has a habit of producing his best when he needs it so there is the view the warm-up track a couple of the 5000 meter women jogging along my Jana well what will she do in that women's 5,000 meters against the likes of a brewery a Jana one of the probably the greatest front runners of all time is she going to do exactly that in the 5,000 to take the sting out of the rest of the field my honor has won the 10,000 or will or will Helena theory deny her the double well this year's taking it easy relaxing just over at the warm-up track there's the Kenyan team just taking it very very casually and I'm wearing as we know put that wonderful last lap speed and she's in contention when it comes to the crunch see fine has sand Steve fifth inning 1500 meters she's the World Indoor champion over the 15 how do you rate her chances over the five well that all depends on those two women that Justin previously if a yachtie takes it out but it's going to be really a metal spike law reviewer while we saw her in the 5000 meters now that was unfortunate there I think fur because tactically maybe she just didn't get it right but in the 5,000 meters she's fast she's one of the fastest in that race and if it's a slow race which I don't know I can't see it actually happening but if it is and it will play into the hands of women like Laura Katherine huge star for South Africa going into women's 8 hoping to make it a hat-trick of world titles can anyone stop them well that's the question isn't it caster Semenya we start that women's 800 meter final ten past eight local time as the big favorite but should we put under pressure there was good quiet qualifying from Alyssa Bishop RJ Wilson she likes to take the race out the American volusia mention rob global titles at her best this season one fifty five point two seventh so the big free event favorite in that woman's a contributors good atmosphere here in the stadium you might be hearing the dulcet tones of you and Tom aspiring not the crowd in the background former European 400-meter chatted he and the mascot hero getting everybody in the mood for the drama to unfold and we start as we have done for the last few evenings actually with a few metal presentations the big men coming out for the javelin presentation no place on the podium this time for the Olympic champion Thomas roller for his compatriot for Germany Johanna Sveta the second-best era in history securing his first global title sandwiched between two men from the Czech Republic both the boom this podium lifetime vests in the final [Music] it can't get enough of this candy hero I was Hawking it hedge-hopping it he just came in on a zip wire robbed you were busy concentrating commentating and you missed the fact is coming from the top of the stadium as if way it was actually really quite impressive you're looking at me like I was lying he did nice day brat 17 he came from other the way up there and then disappeared somewhere down there Wow must have been concentrating so there we go it is hiding inside the costume he has entertained everybody in fight style and I think we showed this if you missed it allow me to just remind you there was a little two or three-year-old girl over at one of the jumping bits on the far side of the stadium some sunglasses with it because they're really really so whoever the guy or girl is within the costume yes take about thanks for your contribution to the drama and helping to get the crowd poised and ready for the action EGP she's got the moves Rob father have a cracker back at the after party to knock over there goes those snake tipping statements again Rob but me lunch I can't do that with my buddy [Applause] ridiculous put a lot of fun anyway right mr. Hedgehog pew magic moment let's get on with the climax of the championship day 10 the interesting to see what better makes to that if he's still up there when your anaesthetic comes out for his first global title what do you might throw them about 90 meters if he is but we'll have to wait to see so yeah everything has helped create the backdrop for the drama and we just heard by the way as we came on air this evening and as you and Thomas was talking to the crowd a world record of World Championship ticket sales we knew it was around about 700 but we have heard this this evening that the official tally they're running some of the Hedgehog's highlights he's still on the gold medal position on the podium as he enjoys a look back at what he's contributed over the last 10 days 701 eight hundred and something thousand so over seven hundred and one thousand which is a record crowd across all 16 editions of the Eider Blair it's Championships so the javelin boys coming out first and then in the four by one and Catherine were expecting those young women in silver medal to raise the roof when they come out to receive last night it was one how far they gonna throw and two who was gonna win it such as the depth this year yeah it was superb all eyes were on the expected duels between the two Germans brother the Olympic champion led his compatriot 6-4 well now at 65 finished six centimeters shy of the podium here's a man who knows a thing or two about gold medalist sir God look guys the legend reak world and olympic pole-vaulting use the vault six meters for fun Nannan Petra Friedrich he beats the Olympic champion by 6 centimeters with an absolutely superb throw 480 and 32 that coming in the very last round of TV for World Championship bronze is compact really took the silver just 16 centimeters of God yep cool package yet another lifetime vest for him his silver medal winning throw coming in the second round the world champion was reduced to tears after a competition where he didn't quite recreate his 90 meter growing qualifying didn't have to 89 meters 89 centimeters first-round throw good enough for gold for Hannah's better 7th in Beijing for last year in Rio last night he was and is on top of the world and how sweet will the national anthem sound to him now in front of a packed Stadium here in London [Music] [Applause] [Music] Jesus once again from the big man yes better producing Germany's first and only gold at the championship so far one gold to silver to bronze he would be the toast of his nation when he gets home tomorrow after my hope will be a great party for him in the rest of the athletes tonight scheduled to take place at the o2 arena they have laid on a wonderful show of world-class school they deserve a bit of a celebration later to me [Music] [Applause] so the big men to part the podium to be replaced by three teams who richly deserve their place on the stage and a moment in the spotlight [Music] an ultimate event last night the women's four by one and it caused great celebration for the home fans in the stadium [Music] the minister said and when you put the corner you wanna get the cement with some lights again never shows any daddy for the women's 4 by 100 meter relay the Roar is loud [Music] twelve athletes coming out to receive World Championship medals the fun crowd hopelessly delighted the fourth of a British it really was a wonderful final sprinter wise to compete against poorly and Davis Thompson I double AF Councilmember much success of course with the Bahamas presenting the athletes with the medals Jamaica it was the team whom Jamaica them that deep took the promise you're leaving Natasha Morrison Simone Casey and Sally Forbes just outside 42 seconds we want of course by Jamaica in the sprint relays but this is a medal that they really did appreciate just one single gold medal at this world championships Omar McLeod over the high hurdles but the relay team with marilaine Thompson still delivered a world championship medal forty two point one nine seconds for bronze then there'll be a huge war but the silver medal is for Great Britain in Northern Ireland Asha Phillips Desiree Henry D Natasha Smith and Darryl Nita they picked up a medal last year in Rio lowering the national record all the time and she'll fill it both in the individual 200 meters [Music] a solid team a world guilty the silver medal for Great Britain northern [Applause] [Music] [Applause] but the gold level once again went to the US of A we wondered what changes that made from the heat and they did bring in the individual 100 meter champion Tory Bowie Illya brown Allyson Felix model ache the Kinnison and Tory Bowie pick up the gold medal forty one point eight two seconds the fifteenth world championship medal for Allyson Felix she continues to run fast and break records what a championships Vettori Bowie individual gold in the 100 Bob I won gold in the relay Lester that is it has been a minute ladies and gentlemen the national anthem of the United States of America [Music] [Applause] [Music] the USA have won gold at the World Championships in the short relay last night United States of America absolutely smashing the medal table nine gold 10 silver eight bronze 27 in total camera next on the list with eight it has been a superb World Championships for them and their women came together not the baton round and deliver the gold bevel again [Music] well if the reception for the British women was loud the men's for my one presentation might just eclipse that the first time in history any British quartet have become world champions silver twice once in 93 once in 99 but never a gold until last night nefi Neil Mitchell Blake on the anchor leg it was Great Britain from the United States with Jamaica in third in the old days Usain Bolt may well have stormed through the center of both of them as it was his leg gave out and Christian Coleman tried to close down Mitchell Blake but he just couldn't quite get there stunning race that lit up the stadium on a night when many people were expecting Great Britain's second gold to come from Sir Mo Farah silver this time for the mercurial distance runner gold came from the relay boys so we'll get to that presentation shortly I've just got a quick glimpse of the men warming up for the high jump final that officially gets underway in around about 12 minutes so here we go a little ceremony that will certainly get the crowd in the mood for the evenings entertainment listen to this just yet the [Applause] a fine race means e to forget [Applause] went absolutely wild for the British paycheck japanese team produced a fantastic run Roshi Yokogawa will be delighted to be making this presentation on the outside they once again produced a fantastic run as they did for silver last year in Rio not necessarily a team with individual stars who can knock out 9.8 for fun but a fantastic combined team effort our de azĂșcar Korea and Fuji Mitsu silver for the Japanese last year in Rio it's another global medal for them this time that bronze a shining example of what teamwork and clean baton exchanges can do nobody was watching them on the outside here they are and the global podium once more just as they were in Rio 12 months ago so many times they've won this event although not since 2007 in Osaka they hoped they would be beating their arch rivals the Jamaicans for another gold silver this time for Gatlin off to his individual gold in the 100 meters great performance Jalen bacon Mike Rogers and Christian Colvin finishes his week in London with two silver medals they were desperate to reclaim their crown but they were to be denied by a brilliant quartet who no doubt were inspired by the incredible noise in the stadium which will be recreated now as they step up on the tow diem the Great Britain's second gold all of them running the race of their lives conceit juj he has taken a step up in class this year [Music] Danny Tolbert a TV in the 200 meters a fine bend on the third leg jameelah got them all fired up the forth name that will be read in the history books never Neil Mitchell Blake huija saw that Jimmy Lee Mitchell Blake a new British record and a moment of history the first British gold medal in the men's 4x1 in World Championship history and how this anthem will be savored by them and 50,000 in the stadium [Music] whatever these four young men go on to achieve in the rest of their careers they will always have a place in the history books and they will never ever forget tonight [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Great Britain on top in the men's four by one real a rotten way to round off the penultimate night will there be more drama and more to celebrate for the host nation this evening well another packed crowd as we said at the start of world record attendance across the 10 days it's a brilliant atmosphere this evening in part we have this guy to thank Wow so Hedgehog has made a big contribution to the last ten days let's have a reminder of what he's been up to [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] he has made a big contribution to the last nine days any future mascots the next editions of the iwi championships well he or she learned a lot to live up to here's the fanfare for the men's hi John the trumpeters of the Irish Guards [Applause] [Music] the stage is set and now come the introductions Mateus Chapelle co second best Jumper in the world this year German national champion muchas fashion is this finally his night to deliver an outdoor global gold us champion this year n-c-double a champion a few years ago brian mcbride of the united states helia emanuel european under-23 champion two years ago Daniel I sang code third best Jumper in the world this year the oldest man in the competition European bronze medalist last year I keep Anand from Bulgaria clipped in the Europeans last year Timur Ivana's listen to this reception for the Olympic bronze medalist is he coming back to form can he secure another global medal Robbie grab-ass Bondarenko hoping to join the legendary Xavier Sotomayor as a two-time world champion he last one in Moscow the Syrian Margit ghazal character flag for his country in London and Rio 30 years of age a huge talent and from Mexico set of pbeing qualifying a 26 year old Edgar Rivera the final of the men's high jump here is the complete lineup Jamil Coe has jumped to 35 this year bashing an Olympic silver in Rio of bronze here in London is it finally his time to deliver an outdoor senior global gold he certainly got the form and a belief like saenko mutual athletes here Robbie grab Ozzy could his seasons best in qualifying 231 bondarenko gold in Moscow silver in Beijing Azhar and Rivera so we thought that bar Shem was in good form coming here that is ridiculous a scissor jump over six feet he really is on Form but for the challenge he's got he should surely have already become a global outdoor champion is it his time to finally deliver two-twenty estrellas bilko didn't qualify for Beijing or Rio much better this year only 17 european indoors and here he goes only mine is lifetime best is 235 this season yep smooth as you like from the German national champion he's up and running really good crowding again this evening or the climax of the ten days scissor kick from Bosch it was ridiculous speaking of which bashing was the only man to qualify at 2:31 without a single miss on his cart this should be very straightforward for the favorite and the world leader oh my gosh it could have got a hip tie between himself and the guard Aaron still gone over he is in wonderful form Rob as you say heads of world rankings to 38 is the battles he's had previously isn't it if you look at two three years ago we were talking about that world record of how happy a sot tommye or 245 which was set back in 1993 being challenged he was in a group there but for me this year has just gone a little bit heavy shoulders above everybody else but of course you can't discount wandering co he's the fourth best jumper of all time as well Brian McBride US Champion this year quite close to his lifetime best in qualifying here he goes hoping to join G bilko and bash him with an easy clearance of 220 yep good work from the American we lost Eric Canard the start of the competition in qualified the real shame for the American global medalist clearly arrived with an injury problem and well I sort of ran through [Music] long Teddy high job map so no Erik Canard but we do have Brian McBride in fine Buhari valium European under-23 champion just missed a medal in the world Juniors in 2012 no failures yet from anyone on 220 yeah could be a good stand at this competition it's the joint highest quality of any qualifying competition in world championship history six men cleared to 31 Calvin Harris feels booming around the stadium on the PA system party atmosphere here this evening they want to round off a fine championships in great style Daniel ly Cinco 234 this year only just turned 20 the Youth Olympic champion Russian competing as a neutral pence a na authorized neutral athlete to run up and one or two of the others oh absolutely Myles clear there Russians have produced some really great high jumpers over the years he looks like another so the 20 year old looked like he just skipped over that from the youngest in the competition to the oldest the st. goes 20 I cure on who is now 35 he made the final 10 years ago in Osaka 234 his lifetime best to 30 this season and CFP German veteran can join everyone else with a nice early settler first time clearance at 220 bar comes down for the first time in the competition as he saw any woman's high jump final those early failures can prove really costly if you end up clearing the same height as an opponent if he's got a clearer card than you you are much further down the leaderboard at the end of the competition team or even odds of Bulgaria 10th last year in Rio not too far away from the European podium either 231 his lifetime best this season well that was pretty lackluster over the last two jumpers will have to come back and there'll be a fair amount of excitement now in the stadium as the Olympic bronze medalist from London gets ready to jump for the first time [Applause] 2:37 his PV Robbie Gravas eat caught his season's best in qualifying he's more in tip-top shape by his own standards but he is the master of getting it right when he clapped when it counts World Indoor silver last year is this going to be another global medal for the Britain yeah good stomp kohlrabi and his injury problems over the years battled his demons six men clear at 228 the first time of asking and our other field event final about to get going it is robbed from one end of the stadium to the other the final of the women's discus throw 12 pleats vying for gold on this final night of competition [Music] [Music] [Applause] so that the last time the fanfare will be played because this is the final field event here's your lineup yang Cheng of China seventh in Rio last year 26 years old now then from Germany Julia hearting European Championships silver medalist last year from Australia the former world champion Danny Stephens world number four this year also from China twice the Asian champion Jinju Hsu and then from Cuba the defending champion bronze in Rio Denia Caballero and then next to her the double Olympic champion the world leader from Croatia sandra turkey [Applause] next from Germany the 2011 world silver medalist lady Lola [Applause] and from Cuba the former world junior champion yummy Perez another athlete from the from China big thing [Applause] they're from Brazil the South American record holder and dresser de Maurice and from France the Olympic silver medalist Molina ruber me Sean and completing the lineup from Lithuania 6148 this season Sanada sender it so 12 athletes you line up for the women's discus throw final really interesting there sandra Perkovic of croatia is by far the best thrower in the world this year over 71 meters but you can see with to relay finals to end these World Championships it's super busy but the women's 800 meter foreign or later Leon Saba she's looking to play her part the athlete from Burundi the Olympic silver medalist World Indoor champion last year in Portland as some American representation r.j. Wilson now she's the new US record holder this year you could potentially get herself on the podium here Wilson she's in super form as the two minutes to qualify but back in the stadium the first throw is discus final Chen of China the Asian champion this year 62 meters of 90 is a season's best 62 71 to qualify she'll get us underway glorious evening once again here in London absolutely packed well falls just below the 60 meter line as I mentioned in Sonic the top eight in Rio last year seven in those Olympic Games a modest 58 beaches and 90 [Music] so Julia hearting wears a husband [Music] in September last year so Marty enters the circle a silver medal at the European Championships last year 61 meters and 70 in qualifying [Music] well over the 60 meter line my husband Robert of course didn't make the final here in the men's Disqus heavily meddled though in the past robert hearting so it's gonna be the early lead in this women's discus final we close to a qualifying throw actually well 61 meters in 34 goes into the early lead so Danny Stephens of Australia the world champion in Berlin in 2009 born and lives in Sydney Ward number four this year 66 meters and 78 she opens her campaign oh that's a good one you can see just below the 65 meter line Commonwealth champion in 2014 just mr. bevel in Rio last year finished 4th in the Olympic Games so she's been a surpass hearting was 61 meters in 34 64 meters and 23 she goes into the lead so the second Chinese athlete to start their campaign jinjutsu 25-year old oh well that's a no throats it's gone out the sector [Music] well I thought team or even AUVs first attempt was a little bit lackluster at 2:20 sadly the 23 year old Bulgarian has decided he cannot continue participating in this final a real shame for him his campaign for glory here in London is over so back into the discus [Applause] next up to throw he is the defending world champion then he a Caballero bronze in Rio last year but it was a wonderful win in Beijing 2015 she finally beat Sandra Perkovic after seven successive defeats she's looking for a good one to open her campaign well he's dropped below the 65 meter line remember Stevens has the lead with 64 meters and 23 [Applause] 63 meters and 22 slots into silver so here's the athlete inform in bellinzona this year through 71 meters and 41 the best women's discus throw since 1972 sandra Perkovic and croatia she's won the world title before so she knows how to get that job done her first throw of the competition oh my lord that is outstanding just what she wanted she never needs any encouragement to get pumped up to Sandra Perkovic the crowd though responding to that huge throw the double Olympic champion nearing the 70 meter line well talked about that 71 meter plus throw she started in form 69 meters and 30 of course straight into the lead [Applause] Nadine Muller of Germany world silver medalist in 2011 first row well it's approaching the 65 meter line so kerkovich 69 meters and 30 twitches Dani Stevens of Australia down into second place 64 meters in 23 so it's going to be close to that one 64 meters and 13 slots in behind Stephens into third [Applause] Fedders of cuba she's going to be a danger because she's the world number two this year was 69 meters and 19 no mark in the Olympic final last year in Rio didn't qualify for the final in London in 2012 but in wonderful form this year [Applause] oh it's the speed the arm gets whipped through so quickly but between the 60 and 65 meter lines doesn't look particularly happy with it former world junior champion so it's going to be no improvement on the lead 62 54 she goes into fifth - in - 25 oh my goodness me he's clearing these early hikes for fun that looked so so easy evalute surely he can't make this look as impressive as far shin canny well within his comfort zone here that was good not as much to spare as the world leader but a clean card once again sure bilko by the way and the pride of both missed with their first attempts like Senko this 20 year old Russian competing as a neutral national champion 234 this season for life Cinco real star in the future livable stays on [Applause] now Robbie grab-ass remember these first time clearances at the lower Heights are really important when it gets to the business end of these competitions listen for the reaction if you get sick yeah he is a showman he is a character and is clearly in the mood tonight [Applause] well what about solid start there from grab-ass now Bondarenko was the only man who skipped to 20 so this is his opening jump he has shaved his beard off for this competition Sampson in Reverse well let's see Wild Eyes for the Ukrainian world champion in Moscow silver in Beijing oh no that's a bit ragged [Music] I wonder if he's regretting not the beard I wonder if he's regretting not coming in and settling down at 220 that could be important later on in the competition he was absolutely miles away [Music] so Bondarenko a little bit of thinking to be here mashed gazelle joint seventh last year in the Olympic final a really important ambassador for his country very proud Syrian here he goes yeah that's better [Applause] could work there from ghazzal really surprised about Bondarenko meanwhile back to the discus rubber me Sean of France her first attempt in this women's discus final Olympic silver last year in Rio and her fifth Olympic Games well she's gone over the 65 meter line remember Perkovic Lee to his 69 meters and 30 Danny Stephens is in silver 64 23 so rubber me Shawn who's gonna slaughter self in to the silver medal position [Music] 65 meters and 49er seasons best she does go into second now if you were watching qualifying you may remember this guy went absolutely wild when he secured an outdoor TV bit of a character this Mexican based in Cologne and he go clear 225 first time of asking oh yes nice acrobatic somersault as he hit than that [Applause] good work by the Mexican now we've seen the first time failure from Bondarenko at 225 and there's also been at first time failure by Matias G bilko really surprising from the German 235 this season getting himself fired up national champion he's had a great year and comes here with high hopes of delivering Germany another medal this is quite important yep that's better that was class little bit of pressure just being squeezed on Schiphol coke and he responded really well sending his back in his body around the bath washing clear right and he followed to bilko making amends with his second effort US Champion 229 in qualifying is in the groove this week needs to turn this on come on big man little stutter as he ran in but he recovered well just about sellout crowd tonight fabulous backdrop for these world-class high jumpers and they're responding to the atmosphere at fifty or thousands of generating all around the stadium including over there at the high jump now the old man of the group needed three attempts to get over 220 and he's failed with his first attempt at 225 focused drawing on all those years of experience nearly he's having a few problems settling down this evening Anand will have to come back for a third and final attempt as he did at 220 women's discus continues second-round throw then now for Danny Stephens of Australia in the bronze medal position 64 meters and 23 saw a Burmese Shaun of France they're out - 65 meters and 49 so Stephens round two [Music] well it's over the 65 betta line that's good which means it's an improvement on our 64 meters and 23 remember silver early doors in this women's discus throw final is 65 49 the Molina rubber moonshot is going to be close to that Oh 65 46 just shy by three centimetres she goes and stays in third well an uncharacteristic early miss from bondarenko the only man who decided to skip to 20 G bilko played the second time of asking oh dear oh gee now that is a big big problem for Bondarenko world champion in Moscow is in big big trouble here needs a third attempt at 225 so Danny a Caballero of Cuba 63 meters and 22 in the first round she's down in fifth the defending champion though she's still landing it between the 60 and 65 meter line it's going to be shy of her first round throw 12 athletes in this final top eight after the first three throws we'll continue in the competition Caballero 62-88 no improvement she stays in fifth when an athlete that's arrived on a mission asking the crowd to support Perkovic of Croatia 69 meters and 30 she's some near 4 meters ahead of the rest of the field at the moment and as a previously mentioned she's thrown 70 141 this season discus in left hand has changed the speed the width of the arm you can't actually watch it it so fast the once again look at that the championship record is 71-62 set by Helmand of Germany back in 1987 this is over the 70 meter live she's closing in on that championship record 70 meters and 31 extends her lead Ikey Owen has one last chance to stay in the competition it's been an untidy night for the Germans so far can he draw on more than a decade of international experience pressures on no not to be 40 35 year-old German so he goes out at 225 even offers retired Wang of China didn't start this final one by one they're already falling by the wayside so disappointment honoured this would be a huge shot the champion from Moscow is in big trouble here for goodness me [Applause] a great display of composure there from the winner four years ago bondarenko living dangerously and his opening height Peres of Cuba women's discus round number two 62 meters and 54 in the first round is in sixth position she whips it out but it falls below the 60 meter line so it'll be no improvement she'll stay in sixth position you're busy on the Diamond League circuit this year 15 Shanghai 2nd in Oslo she won the Stockholm Diamond League no throw registered so from sixth position to seventh in the finger China just staying in that top eight at the moment 61 meters and 56 in the first round got into the top eight last year in Rio with eight eighth place finish well it's very similar to her first round throwers 61 56 really quite close in the lower positions 8 at the moment is Julia hearting 61 34 so been an improvement for bang no 60 meters and 81 she stays in 7 [Music] [Applause] to the final of the women's 5000 meters three world-class Kenyans three world-class Ethiopians Dido double world unit cross country champion a least McColgan for Great Britain CIPA and Hassan Helena Barry you're a mirror of the Great Britain just missed a medal in the fifteenth row Barry huge athlete of experience - Barry brilliant performer from Ethiopia and there's Ayanna hoping to do the double having won the 10,000 in fine style on Saturday night big field this one 15 athletes 6 absolutely sensational East Africans and a whole host of others who'll fancy they can get in the mix but is this the night when Helena beery delivers an outdoor global Gold World Indoor champion over 3,000 silver last year in Rio she looks poised she looks nervous but she's in cracking form so - is this man piece of cake at 220 at 225 G bilko expected to be one of our team's big rivals has once again missed his first attempt at 229 it's all looking good for bashing at the moment can he keep it going oh my gosh he's making that look ridiculously easy [Applause] the omens are good here a world junior champion an Asian Junior Champion the World Indoor champion never a gold outdoors silver last year in Rio bronze in London Tiger grubby gravels McBride needed to at 225 and by the way Bondarenko has passed at 229 despite the fact that he only squeaked over of 225 in the third time of asking Ukrainian trying to make up for those two failures McBride first attempt to 229 US Champion knows he needs more [Music] we'll keep you across the high jump final what a race this is going to be over 5,000 meters too challenging Americans to Britain's and is this the night that Helen a very bit my passion in her high jump delivers her first senior global outdoor gold we will take you through the lineup it's the final of the women's 5000 meters field packed with talent tarnished the barber or one of only two women to have done the five and 10,000 meter double back in two thousand five billion chariot in 2011 arm as I honor hoping to do the same feed a very talented Ethiopian double world junior cross country championship and Hassan a very hard to call it a favorite but she's in really good form she's won ten out of her twelve races this year Wilhelm as I honor managed to double up whereas she struggled a little bit in the five thousand last year in Rio the defending champion the reigning World and Olympic champion over ten thousand meters but when she tried to double up in Rio last year she ran out of gas and the last few laps and faded to third for means of the Netherlands who Leanne one of two Americans to ferry silver medalist in the world cross and the 10,000 meters two years ago third fastest in the world this year of brilliant young talents at the age of twenty-two robery its tactical Laura mera so so close to a medal in the 15 denied by caster Semenya finished for a second chance of a medal for Great Britain in front of the home crowd World Indoor champion over 3,000 metres fastest woman in the world this year silver medalist in the Olympics is it going to be gold for a fury tonight a SAN very very fast just mr. Mellor in the 15 release McColgan TV in qualifying very very close to our mums personal best over five remember mum'll is one the ten thousand in the searing heat of Tokyo in 91 the Tess and Becky day I watched her win the world crossing camp Allah as a junior she's a huge talent still early nineteen Mali hockey agonizingly east up in the final of the ten in Beijing and her compacted Emily Enfield came through to deny other bronze eighteen to ten thousand this time get a hind former World Indoor champion Sheila kipper touch on the inside for Kenya African champion last year from a world youth champion as well and absolutely loaded field this one is it OB restate a shine or can Ayane do the famous five thousand ten thousand double [Music] an experienced field you would night you might think it might be tactical but look at this chalcogen gesehen the former Ethiopian Li represents Barra in former World Indoor champion over 1500 she's gone out very hard grab-ass is in second place at the moment remember judoka one of the big men in the hunt for gold has had two failures one at 25 and one at 29 bondarenko had two failures at 2:25 a clean card could be very important here for grab-ass if it gets tight for the nervous oh no not to say we have to hide there [Applause] so grab a still have two more attempts could be costly that one at the business end of the competition and Steve Jessa Hein of Bahrain went to the front really quickly yes and all of a sudden it's well that's ridiculous without jogging no really are very they're just just really blowing her nose and she runs along here it's it's ridiculous pace the sand moved to the front I thought she was gonna inject a bit of pace a yarn up there just jogging on the spot this is gonna be they gotta be careful when this happens the throws behind are getting anxious and just as I say that a Jana kicked in there remember oh yeah that one the 10,000 meters the last 5,000 innocent the last half of the ten she ran in 1424 and that has only been beaten this year by the girl that's at the woman I should say in second place who burry in just the 5000 so he run the second half of the ten faster than any of the other athletes in this race and race this year now she really needs to use that strength she really needs to take the sting and a Samba like a brewery because it brewery now it knows what she's gonna do she's got a shadow oh yeah that especially came well it's an insane pace really because it looked as Ayane was taking it on as she loves to do and did in the 10 and then she slowed it right down again as to ferry to silver medalist in the 10,000 meters from Beijing now takes it on but they're not exactly rocking rolling a Theory's got a really good range of distances Steve won the road 5000 one the London Diamond League mile here and one two three thousand in Monaco sheep she's in cracking form across a range of distances stamina and speed what we mustn't forget is like the stupidest if the Africans mess around slowing the pace right down then the Americans huddling Robi in Houlihan as we saw in the steeplechase for women they could take advantage of this slow pace so it is really at the moment open to everybody to 40 for the first 800 meters is incredibly slow by these standards of these world-class women to ferry from Ayana key date watch perdido she's an absolutely brilliant youngster just touch it on the inside of Barry kipper touch and Kip Kemboi Edgar Rivera first attempt at 229 [Applause] she was the only man but the first time of asking to 29 he really is looking absolutely sensational demand from cut-up Mexicans in good form his brother got a world long junk bronze back in the moscow great family jeans had a fine performance in qualifying Rivera based in Cologne nope so still bar Shem is the only man clear to 29 bondarenko by the way as I said as passed to 29 having needed a third attempt to get over to 25 his opening point here we go I started really pile on the place it really was ridiculous for those first two laps and it really is played to the hands as they carried on like that of the fast finishes to san just in about sixth or seventh place would be loving the fact that it was slow but then our yard up started kicking it in and a brewery now just behind and they're starting to string out an Indian file this is the familiar pattern in the races with Alma's eye on it aiming to replicate the five 10,000 meter double secured by a compact reactor initiative barber the world record holder in Helsinki in oh five Vivian Shariat also did the double in Daegu and look at this off the front with a theory the two main protagonists walked together my honor where she likes to be leading but a beery is tracking her every move and with 10 wins from 12 races this year Oh Deary will not be intimidated by the world and Olympic champion and world record holder over 10,000 meters O'Berry will believe this is her best distance with Ayanna's best that 10,000 we saw a Jana in the hates really struggle with a sprint so she knows what she's going to do here and in that one lap she had split the rest of the field up into groups just behind her a burry the enter ferry just behind that with the others just in a group of four or five there and then the main group behind that of about seven athletes yes it's Ayane leading with eight to go followed by a berry to ferry key day and then the two other Kenyans that's the best of the rest get a hind the bahraini n' leading that group with the young Dutch athlete crew mins coming now past there's a hind the former World Indoor champion deciding that she needs to try and chase down her compatriots if Anderson who's at the back of the second group these two are away and now embroiled in a massive jewel there's crew minced sixty six point two there for Alan as I honor robbery tracking crewmen's that's the third group there on the right of your picture there there's the second group of chasers containing five it's d-day the nineteen-year-old leading Kemboi kick footage for sound and to ferry well if this is great to see Steve two women at the peak of their towers don't want the gold both not afraid to put it out there with seven laps to go it's it's a brave early move from my honor knowing that a beer is in such good call immediately behind her she certainly is I mean this is the race we all expected fast from the start they were both playing around they're waiting perhaps for someone to help out with the praise but now that there wasn't a yarder decides we're out this is it I'm going to stretch everybody out the gap is widening between Ayane and blurry there's now what's 20 meters for the chasing group so the pace is relentless the big question is whether a brewery can sustain staying with the woman dropping a little bit there that's a 68 well we're so often used to these races being cat and mouse but we're now beginning to see a familiar pattern where I honor is concerned she absolutely puts the hammer down and rich these races to pieces and by the way what was a second chase group has splintered and Cooney's is bringing one or two of them back to what is now a really big chase group that's good work from the tall Dutch woman who closes down on the two Ethiopians just ahead of her and Laura Muir now taking on to the back closing in on road-weary with who Lee Anne also very much in the mix together hind looks like she's really struggling shoes off the back but still Steve a huge gap up to World Indoor champion her very in second Ayanna bidding for the double these two with a lead of somewhat 30 meters or so why Senko national champion second attempt at 229 yes he is the second man clear after bashing washings the only one with a perfect card so far a man from cata looking Romar's in third place at the moment second attempt at 229 massive noise from the crowd could really do with this oh no season's best 231 he's going to have some anxious moments Robbie grab-ass the bronze medalist here five years ago wanna race this is turning out to be between Elmer's I and Helen in theory but I got a bus sex really a brewery is there she's literally flipping that hills all the way this is the race we anticipated and it is really delivering because a Jana is pushing ahead now they've got almost a hundred leaders on the rest of the field a sound I think it is in third place at the moment just behind her to ferry and a group of two or three vying for that bronze middle I suppose if these two keep it going in a can't see them but doing that our Jana every time she comes down the stretcher looks up at the scoreboard and she sees that a buoy is there but she can't see it she must sense it obvious in some great races in the 5,000 meters didn't we with gesellschaft taking it really - mo farah over the last lap and then interest coming through that was a great 5,000 we've got a great 5,000 here because these are the main protagonist a Jana burglary an absolutely enormous lead for the two women applying for this world title Hasan leads the chasers it's kicked Kemboi in for another 68 second lap there's Kip cowboy to ferry there he is in fifth place with crewmen's just behind her newer and robery tracking key day but they have become a little bit detached from Kip British who is now coming up onto the shoulder of crewmen's and closing down the three women currently battling for bronze but this is the jewel we wanted to see Steve it's the night for the East Africans three laps to go in the fighting of the women's 5000 meters separated by the Great Rift Valley the best of Ethiopia against the best of Kenya a great rivalry but what unites them is their love of distance running it's the number one sport in both countries and in Addis Ababa and Nairobi and all across the rural areas of both beautiful countries people will be listening to radios and watching on television to see which nation in this great rivalry tonight comes out on top two and a half laps to go Ayana really has now got to start piling it on because a brewery knows that she's coming in to the sort of distance that she can cope with if it's a spring I gotta pushing hard every single stride that she does is matched by the woman behind coming in down to two laps 800 meters of the track Ayana I don't think has got the sort of neck speed that the brewery has got maybe she proved me wrong but she's gonna start stretching me up now she's gonna start pushing because the shadow behind her has not moved the ferry is in third ass and just behind her those are chasing for the bronze inside the last two laps in this the final of the women's 5000 meters high honor hoping to produce a truly historic double over five in 10,000 meters Oh Barry World Indoor champion over 3,000 the world crown could a waiter here and look at this 650 meters to go a theory tries to come on the outside Ayane says no Hannah beer is really gonna have to earn this one 69.2 they've slowed a fraction well that was really really important to be retried there didn't you and I Jana said no I'm not beaten yet you're gonna have to stay behind me you're gonna have to wait and by doing that she's put the pressure on a brewery she said to you I'm ready if you come past me I'm still gonna be there we're coming up now to the last lap in the women's 5,000 meters this epic battle between two of the greatest women distance runners is about to go over the last lap they take the bell in the final of the women's 5,000 meters a sellout crowd here at the world championship are warring both women on they're putting absolutely everything on the line here an incredible tool they are taking each other to places they didn't know existed and look at her Nana theory she is streaking away from Alma's I honor she's been the World Indoor champion she has so often come up close the Olympic silver medalist is going to become the world champion here she's beating one of the all-time greats the world record holder an Olympic champion over 10,000 meters is beaten into silver as a theory has the whole crowd on their feet it's a golden glorious moment for Kenya helena theory is finally on top of the world what a run from the kenyan absolutely sensational how am I gonna settle for silver this time and water prongs Pacifica's am having just missed out in the 1500 meters the battle was on Ayana held firm but but when a very struck down the black straight at that point the Ethiopian was broken and she instantly knew that it was destined to be silver over the 5000 Helen a theory with the performance of her life and she will without doubt be the toast of the Kenyan team tonight a great run for the very should be everything she had to do and Saturday Jana Aryana couldn't give any more she won the Ted she came back a sad great performance from her she came so hard over that last 400 meters to take that bronze medal Wow wonderful wonderful competition there really it lived up to the expectations the first two or three laps I think were pedestrian maybe that destroyed the time because the time wasn't that fast in the end 14:34 they came home fast but that ridiculous two or three laps as they started the race really dropped the face but it didn't affect the result I don't think you know what was so enjoyable about that Steve as a very scorched home with a 60 second last that what was so enjoyable about that from a distance running fans perspective both of them not afraid to take it on they knew how good they both were they knew how good the other one was and they were pouring their hearts out on that track there was nothing left in the tank providing women a really brave run from both of them and what an effort from my honor to try and do the golden double gold and bronze in Rio last year gold and silver this time what a fine fine athlete she is even though she's lost her title here tonight no disgrace with that silver medal at all outside there congratulated Brewery it really was all credit to Ayana it is so hard to leave and try and take the sting out of your competitors especially when they're there every single step of the way every single lat the concentration that will must have had just to keep going is intense this is a brewery though just relaxing through that last lap we said 60 seconds but she didn't until over the back straight so she probably run well under sixty if she'd have kept going all the way at last a global senior outdoor title for Helena theory the forum woman of the year beats the world record holder and the victor here over 10000 meters tonight though belongs to Bill to field event finals going on tonight here's ghazzal Syrian flag bearer here in London five years ago second attempt to 29 oh that's an excellent clearance by him hence the reaction and that puts him up as a second place she bilko well considering the season he's had this would be a shock if he was to go out at 229 getting himself fired up they held once at 225 this is it lots of clearness to keep his aspirations alive all my goodness me he had a little wobble but it stays up living a little bit dangerously there the German champion out of the medals but he is still in the competition Brandon with ride the US Champion and he go clear at his third effort we've just seen sure bilko short run up by the American no not to be cannot drive excellent effort to get into the final and one by one they're slipping by the wayside here in this competition women's discus vinyl continues Perez fourth round just the one the valid throw so far that's 62 meters and 54 [Applause] well it's very close to the 65 meter line top eight athletes now contesting rounds four five and six so it's going to be an improvement bronze at the moment is rubber me Sean of France well isn't improvement 64 82 she goes into fourth about youth needs this no Russian competing as a neutral also follows McBride out no medal for him tonight we had six men over 231 in qualifying necessarily been the quality we were expecting so far in his final Olympic bronze medalist from London requires a big clearance here to keep his teams alive in front of his home crowd no that is such a shame - Robbie grabbers he looked as though he was coming back to some good form no medal for the Britain tonight this time at Guerrero this is only centimeter shy of his lifetime best indoors needs this steep Mexican bashing by the way is the only manner of clear to 29 at the first time of asking Rivera yes that's better well he's performing at the very peak of his powers here Edgar Rivera a brilliant clearance he's still in the competition so there's been some movin and shakin in this women's discus throw final what can Danny Stevens now do in round number four sixty five forty six in the second round there really is a battle for the medals behind Sandra Perkovic oh well that's well over the 65 meter line remember bercovich leads with 70 meters and 31 when the Australian nine times their Australian champion now in the discus 66 meters and 82 a season's best she goes into silver [Applause] she bilko has already failed his first attempt at 2:32 oh my goodness me he has got wings on his heels tonight poor jumps for effortless clearances he is on his own at the moment can he stay there for a first global outdoor senior title lie cinco one failure at 229 this to join bashing clear at 232 but he would still be behind the mountain cat art with that one failure at 229 he's only 20 oh yes great work there from the youngster two men clear at 2:32 now bass is out and pride is out it bandits out spotting up that high jump Helena very is the world champion what a fine fine burst of speed on the last lap Alma's I honor the silver this time after gold in the ten and sip and Hasan picks up the bronze now it's been a funny night for the 2013 world champion devoid of the beard in qualifying Bondarenko skip to 20 needed three attempts at 225 skip to 29 I guess knowing that those two early failures at 25 would be costly and here he is attempting a first time clearance at 232 hoping to join Xavier Sotomayor as a two-time will high jump champion but he gave himself a massive massive scare at 225 service resumed for the hugely talented Ukrainian no it's not happening for him tonight whereas Bosch him so far hasn't put a foot wrong so he can't help himself he rather Hedgehog sandra Perkovic she's in a wonderful position so she's seen the funny side of it and his Perkovic that leaves without 307 c visas and 31 but his pillows of cuba she's in a fourth place at the moment with her fourth round throw of 64 meters of 82 bronze or a Burmese Shana France 65 meters and 49 well it's heading towards this thing to divide me to line but it won't be an improvement she's gonna stay in fourth look at the huge throws that Sandra Turkey thrown out 70 meters to 31 she back that up with a 70 meters in 28 there's only one other athlete in the whole of this women's discus throw final that's ever thrown over 70 meters that's Caballero of Cuba but no improvement for Perot she stays in fourth kazar his first attempt at 2:32 he is in the bronze medal position at the moment long way to go here although some of the big names have gone out there's jumpers in the world this year has had one failure at 2:32 this would be a massive clearance for his art now this would equal his seasons person his PB to 30 on his to 36 been around a long time flag bearer for his country there'll be a lot watching him back home [Applause] long way off with that one but he is in third boss him and lysenko the only men clear at 232 I sang Cohen second after at 1 player at 229 so here's the anthony I was talking about Delia Caballero she is a 70 meter throw earlier best but it was a couple of years ago she's in fifth place though at the moment dropping again below the 65 meter line well it's going to improve her first-round throw of 63 meters and 22 but remember bronze at the moment is the French athletes 65 49 so she's not gonna get herself yet on to the medal podium 64 meters and 37 stays in fifth Rivera looking for a first clearance at 2:32 that would be a TV great effort from the Mexican to still be in the hunt here when bigger names have gone bar Shem still has this under control at the moment meanwhile the women are just about to come on to the center stage for a great 800 meters caster Semenya they're the reigning champion well she has the ability really to take control of this race but behind other in the race there are some athletes Wilson of Bishop who may decide to go fast right for the word go as we saw from Mariana maybe that is the tactic to try and take the sting out and the likes of Castle semenya by Bowie there the Kenyan obviously one of the big favorites in the race but they're just behind this stand at the moment in the core life area now Mateus Chee bilko out of the medals at the moment he's in fifth second attempt 232 checking something with one of the officials so they're clearly making him wait because we have the intros coming with all the pyrotechnics for the women's 800 meters South Africa's golden girl hoping the yet more glory there ready than the boys for two laps of the track here at the London Stadium the Williams 800 meters in c-sharp running through the touch go running through there's caster Semenya r.j. Wilson bishop neon Saba Lipsy and Wham booing so the N fleets are out caster Semenya will start in lane number four a bronze medal over the 1500 meters but this is her favorite event two times a world champion now in 2009 and in 2011 and also now a two-time Olympic champion 2012 and 2016 she's going for three gold medals at World Championships she's trying to match marie-loup tolas record of three golds eat earlier of courses five in total but Semenya 155 27 this season really is the overwhelming favorite in this woman's 800 meters last defeated in Berlin in September 2015 but how will she run this final because the steve-o vet mention is athletes in this race that might grab it by the scruff of the neck and take it out that's Francine neon Saba of Burundi 24 years old now also sub 156 this season well there's the front runners in this race the Wilson and the bishops and also the fast finishers in this race like this woman here at me and sava we're Bowie and semenya so there is the contrast between the two it's whether the likes of someone like Wilson has the courage to go out and try and take it to the others and with a bishop also a front-runner decides to go there's the two there Bishop Wilson the gun goes and they go of hard groom for a good race if they don't it could be slow and playing into the hands of the fast finishes semenya nian Sabah went Bui so the women's 800 meter final somany was starting for Wilson and Bishop will start in five and six and she won in the Monaco diamond leaf it was her 26 successive win at 800 meters try several sports before athletics football and baseball innovative karate and boxing was the two laps of the 800 meters is where she's want to war gold and two Olympic titles but before we get underway with the women's 800 meter final well number one ranked athlete in the world to another sandra Perkovic enters the circle 70 meters and 31 round number five well he could hear her screaming after she'd released the discus is below the 70 meter line it won't be an improvement she'll stay with her big lead will throw to go the line at the women's 800 meter final medalists from World Championships Olympics World Indoor Championships all coming together once again to potentially try and win a world title in lane number nine then a bronze medallist in Rio a bronze medalist at the World Indoor Championships from Kenya Margaret one buoy one 5703 this year who 2:157 at her best lane number 8 from the u.s. charlene Lipsy second at the US Championships she trains with RJ Wilson let's see what they can do in lane number 7 Francine Leon Saba a but on the Olympic silver the World Indoor champion last year late number six from Canada Melissa Bishop one world silver two years ago fourth in Rio seen a number 5 rj wilson at the USA the US Indoor champion the US outdoor champion the lane number 4 the best in the world now and has been for the last few major championships double gold and Olympics and world's lane number three from Poland angeleka natashka she's the European champion over 1,500 meters and then a big horse and the crowd here in LA Great Britain Northern Ireland's Lindsay sharp six of the Rio Olympics last year initially disqualified for obstruction for this final but reinstated on appeal so the women's 800 meter final can caster Semenya win three golds so let's see how this one plays out Wilson normally likes to go hard the American in lane number five is she's setting out to stall in this final the new US records older goes down the back straight when Bowie on the outside looking to swing in neon Sarver look at the swinging but it will be numeric [Applause] to make sharper great piece of me you caster Semenya right in the middle of the map well it's 27 at the 200 meters that's faster they go through this sort of place to see that they're just keeping the rhythm gallery with arts shot [Applause] so coming right out to the bell in the women's 800 meter vinyl neon saba Wilson Wow GUI shot fifty-seven point nine eight seconds an injection of speak of drowsy meals are better for under the elliptic silver medalist so my shoulder though down the backstraight the observer trying to stretch out and leave but Wilson's not letting a go bamboo in third so menu in fourth at the moment ahead of Britain's Lindsay sharp Melissa Bishop trying to make the move out his loop see on the outside for look at our Jack Wilson Neos are Bergrin citizen keeps going on the inside line Niang Sabha Wilson Semenya it's gonna be an absolute tear up the older three medleys where he what order they're going to be she was poor Eastern she waited the observers still fighting to hold on to the silver she will not generals that will take up a bronze for the USA whoa 150 5.17 it's a lifetime best for the South African and she does equal Maria Mutola lose three gold medals at the World Championships it was never in doubt she was poised she waited Leone Saba tried to stretch out the 800 meter final Wilson tried to stretch out and keep in the mix as well but it's the fastest time in the world it's a lifetime best and caster Semenya well two Olympic golds now three World Championship golds over 800 meters well they tried their best they really did neon saw the pushing hard all the way around that back straight wilson hanging on to as much as she could but the sheer power of this woman down the last 50 meters or so she just literally cruised past there wasn't even any effort at all she moved out into Lane two and just literally cowered past those two women the eighth fastest time in history for caster Semenya and all eight finalists lindsey sharp in eighth for Great Britain but all eight finalists inside 159 two different races gold silver and bronze initially were miles clear but also what a fabulous bronze medal for our Jay Wilson national record holder another brilliant brilliant run by her she really tried to take it to them now three-time world champion and rate under meters who by the way ties the great Maria Mutola the toller's golds 93 2001 2003 so well her list of accolades goes on but a brilliant bronze for Wilson well it was the USA I've got a silver and a couple of bronzes before at the World Championships well she gives us a smile it's a bronze medal for the American and she likes to take it out hard she tried everything she could are Jay Wilson at the replay into the home straight the three medalists were assured it was just a case of when caster Semenya was gonna pounce 27.84 caster Semenya over the last 200 meters I mean that is super speed super speed she took what was it now look six meters out of the rest of them in the last hundred meters now back with the high jump Matias Chiu bilko you can see some Enya being interviewed there he's been made to wait the German needed three attempts to get over to 29 and he joined Barcia and lucentio nearing to 32 [Applause] five this season firing himself up getting himself pumped for the job at hand needs this he's in fifth overall no nowhere near so a great breakthrough season with his seen him achieve new heights does not bring him a global medal he's out in fifth so in the final round of the women's discus Danny Stephens in the silver medal position 66 meters and 82 in the fourth round well Sandra bercovich is lead of over 70 meters it's a big ask but only one only athlete in the field has gone over the 70 meter line but that is a huge effort from the Australian falls just below the big solid white line Wow the personal best is 67 meters of 99 set in 2014 the world champion him ball in one he can probably hear the scream in the background a huge personal best that area record 69 meters and 64 in the silver medal position with only two throwers left wow what a throw from Stevens so Danny Stephens in the silver medal position with the area record the Australian 69 64 Molina Reverb lashauwn of France is in the bronze medal position who is 65 meters and 49 so grabber me Shauna tur based is 66 meters and 73 set last year she's gonna have to pull something special out the back here a lifetime best by over three meters to upgrade the self from bronze [Applause] well it's over 65 meters it might be a slight improvement on a vest from round number one but refurbish on the silver medalist at the Olympics last year in her fifth Olympic Games well 66 meters and 21 is a bronze medal for the French athlete a silver for the Australian as a matter kovitch once again is prey on the world champion in the discus as she got something left in this so sandra kerkovich she's in Danny Stephens through a Commonwealth record at 69 meters in 64 a Bernie Shawn finish her account the vinyl discus throw in the women's discus throw final here in London 2017 the final women's field event that these wonderful world championships she's won the gold medal she's thrown 70 meters and 31 [Applause] she loves the attention quite rightly so it inspires her and boys her to throw far the double Olympic champion now the double world champion every throw has been over 69 meters here she goes a world champion again and she got something special for us [Applause] well it flies when it drops below the 70 meter line but sound reverb prevention Croatia has waited patiently throughout these World Championships for her discus final she kisses the badge and rightly so and no throwing the final round with 70 meters and 31 a huge throw she arrived as the world leader and now leaves as a double world champion and she still got the competition with quite a while the shoes are taken off she'll enjoy her many celebrations these will this athlete Danny Stevens gets the flag after that Commonwealth record of 69 meters and 60 for the silver medal for Australia [Applause] the Croatian unstoppable throughout 2017 [Music] unstoppable here this evening what champion again bondarenko all over the place here oh my goodness me he thought for a minute that was staying on but it's been a strange night for the 2013 world champion well off poor bearing in mind at his best here's one of the best in the world now kazar he is closing in on a bronze medal for Syria this would really help no so he is reliant now on the only man left to jump at 232 failing major crews are on the verge of the bronze if Rivera misses this the Syrian is in bronze medal position only flashing and why senko have gone clear at 232 this for a TV remember for the Mexican all not to be great result for him he'll finish this competition in four so gazelle has one serious first ever high jump medal it is a bronze and look at the reaction he can hardly believe it what a moment that will be for him on the podium incredible well it will be a wonderful moment on the podium for him as it will be for these three athletes Croatia Australia and France ticking up the medals in the women's discus and Sandra Perkovic well she's a member of parliament now in Croatia which is now a world champion again dharshan leading at the moment he and lai Cinco have this high jump competition to themselves bashing leads because licen ko had one failure at 229 first time clearances at 222 25 to 29 to 32 all around him are falling by the wayside he has looked absolutely electric so far smiles clear at every height can he turn the screw on what would be the first global outdoor gold you just cannot see him being beaten tonight and yes moot ssl fashion you really are flying here in London this final goal for Croatia saundra total wins again 70 meters and 31 Danny Stephens with the best throw ever and that Commonwealth record picks up the silver and a bronze medal for France we've had one fine little distance race already this evening what about that men's 1500 meters Steve over well another big race I don't suppose you could pick anybody up maybe is a spell Kip Brock the reigning champion if he can actually get his act together and produces almost form that we know then he's being a hard man to beat minimum of a silver police encode that one failure at 29 could prove costly fashion is on fire at the moment it's looking more and more like lean and it will be gold to fashion but the 20 year old Russian competing as a neutral is a fine athlete and he has two more chances to clear to 35 there you go gold again for semenya in a world leading time but undie in the USA pick up silver and bronze it's the final of the men's 1500 meters what a racing prospect in some sense is wide open in other regards an opportunity for a spell pit rock the mercurial Kenyon could join new redeem more solely as a four-time champion area skip off he's won the last three but it depends which as well Kip Rock turns up when he gets it right he makes it look so so easy but will he be switched on will he get his tactics right tonight well is one of these athletes you just don't know I mean as well always when the Down Goes rushes to the back of the field he loves just languishing at the back whether he can come through on that is the big question mark he'll always leaves it to the last lap sometimes the last leg is so fast he can't get to the front and that's the problem life Sanko second attempt at 235 twenty years of age needs this really to stand a chance against bass him one more attempt to follow but two misses to bashings clean card oh yeah oh oh my gosh how close was that one last chance or Basham will be the world champion and I don't want to jinx the man from Kitab at the way he's jumping so far tonight maybe later you could jump something very there's the other two of the Ken is that we mustn't brawl out manga Noi and cherry up there may others the three of them just getting together just before the start while that's ominous the rest of the runners it really is cuz there's three of the fastest men in the world this year that's bill kiss rock looks as though he has got his game face on tonight chariot seventh in Beijing one INSCOM manang boy fastest man in the world this year silver in Beijing and he stopped his kampachi of going four in a row why Senko needs this to stand any chance of dull otherwise it's a fabulous silver for him and it will be that seemingly elusive goal for moot us s abortion no not to be he has performed brilliantly here the young Russian and at last washing is a world outdoor champion to go alongside his world indoor title and it's world Junior title and a manner in which he's cleared every height so far question is how high can he go tonight with the whole competition put to bed and attack stadium to impress Lysenko gets the silver the last individual track final at the 2017 I double AF World Athletics Championships just the two relays to come el Camas applicant champion last year he cannot be ruled out really fast finishing a spell Kip Rock hoping to become a four-time world champion he is one of the great burn fastest in history is it another goal tonight so big Rick who's rockin representing Bahrain second in stock on big TV this year 850 nanometer champion 800 two years ago 1500 this year Willis twice an Olympic medalist former Commonwealth champion a wily old campaigner still going strong chariot just powder the medals two years ago in Beijing we've seen that embrace between him hip hop and the nan goid Kenyans were three Philip inga Brits and one of three hugely talented brothers Henrik was fifth here in London younger brother Yakub if you European Championship bronze letters Engels and our fiery eyes for Chris oh here he's really up to this tonight so - yucca pollutions face a picture of concentration really good tactician if he's still in the race no Olympic champion from the United States fatty sentiments but Greg Erick is here on the podium in Beijing he says there's only one color he's interested in tonight Michele fine indoor runner over 3,000 meters what an individual final with which to finish the program just the relays to come this could be very dramatic indeed so hard to pick a winner from here the first familiarity of this fight at 1500 meter final is that as expected the three-time world champion and former Olympic champion a spell kick drop has gone right to the back with his two contacts in first and second well what do you expect he rushed to the back there didn't he and in front mangle Oy and chariot just leaving and through in a very slow pace a hair break just in second place they're just behind the two Kenyans and there he is the Big Bang is at the top in the Britain just behind him police are on the inside slow pace slow pace so man and boy on the inside chariot in the white spikes O'Hare is in third and still no mood Steve from a spell Kip top it hasn't been a perfect season for the defending champion do you think he's sharp enough if it comes down to the last lap and this is trying into his hands really he loves the slow pace he slipped up and city's too compassionate up front and he started to move through now this is good news because of Kip trotters up there at the look at the lead with a lap to go hard to be chariot leads from the nandroid they have taken it out good running from Great Britain's Chris O'Hare he's in third with Kid Rock now on his shoulder watch for the likes of hallucinate jet Republic niku as well as Michelle thumbs wide on the outside there are some fast been tailing kick rock and it's now Ken yup one two three gonna watch out for this the kids are on a charge chariot is in front manga no just behind and I think Kip rock realized what his teammates was doing he swung right around the rest of the athletes and he's gone up to the shoulder I suppose you could call it of chariot 55.9 for that lap Ingebrigtsen leads the chasers with Chris own hair just behind then Mick who the fast finishing man from Bahrain and look at Michelle closing the gap now on Ingebrigtsen hair going backwards a little bit it is still cherry bleeding from a back boy and a spell kicked off and they slowed a fraction and that's allowed the rest to close up what our last life in prospect the Brits are closing down now and closing down fast as you say the pace is loading the Rickson decides to come on the inside but still it's the three Kenyans one two and three at the moment inside the last 400 meters of the men's 1500 a really intriguing race chariot leaves in the Brits and his tucked in in third the closets the Naboo in second a spell kicked off the defending champion onto the Norwegian shoulder mesh ollinfit the European Indoor champion over 3,000 is beginning to rock and roll watch the Nikki Bahrain if he gets in the mix look at this one from Inglot Brinson hip-hop's going backwards I don't think it's going to be a fourth title to the Kenyan he's out of it a real opportunity for a European medal here chariot leads on the man going in complexion on the inside buckling when that chakra level wrongness is silver two years ago when the man-boy gold tonight Jerry at the silver and Inca Britain falls on the line and takes the bronze he cannot believe it what a performance we were expecting all the fireworks from a spell Kid Rock but the man who was the fastest in the world this year who got the silver two years ago and said there was only one color he wanted this time has come out on top another Kenyan victory but this time it's the nan boy his compatriot chariot takes the silver a water bronze for the Norwegian Philip pink of Britain falling across the line to take his place on the podium well cheerio is on the track Mangan I obviously raised himself up he's won the gold eager britain comes through so hard on that last wasn't trouble savings is if he has got the got others the bronze Bella that's the first European metal sensor Mary Barra and either hash tag they were second of 30 Paris and that mom since the new your team has won a medal at the 1500 meters did everything he had to do whose teammate chariot took it up all the way through well the big man as well didn't have it this time rail but can you really run a great race there to get the gold in the end well man and guys been the top Kenyan this series the fastest in the world and he did a last lap there in 53 85 well at last he has come out on top tip frock generously getting involved in the lap of Honor he drifted out tonight he hadn't had a great season so far but it's his compassion who takes the gold that chariot the silver great performances from then Kenyans winning both 1500s and what about Ingebrigtsen older brother Heinrich and younger brother Jakob will be absolutely delighted for him big dramatic dive for the line as Steve said first European on the podium in this event since 2003 I'd like to see a rerun of that last hundred meters or so because there's a lot of pushing shoving going on Inga Brits and crashing through the line to take the bronze but no doubting really the two in front Mangano and cherry oh there it is Ranga Roy with that wonderful 330 361 chariot just behind after dude all the place making 333 99 and Philipp ingebrigstsen coming through crashing for that bronze medal 334 53 well here we are on that last lap we all thought that as belt hip Rock was going to come sailing past but the two Kenyans kept flowing on Ingebrigtsen kept himself on the inside and even with the charts of a medal at that stage chariot still working so hard those long loafing strides bangle I though come on the outside and at this point maybe we still thought Kid Rock could have something in a tank but he drifts back here and I think this is winning the Brits incenses he's in with a chance of a medal because kit Rock was fading the two Kenyans running hard at the moment outside cheerio still working hard still pushing are the arms are going up he's looking over and mango oils there in de Britain is trying to come through on the inside looking over looking over well back tonight goes through chariot his second event as a dip fighting directly for that bronze well it was pretty close it really was Michelle Spade maybe was just edged up on the inside of the Spaniard was going all over the place arms flailing legs really lactating just couldn't get past interprets of English and looking the wrong side to his right when the challenge was coming on the left there it is he sees it at the last minute and that's why I think he died for the line Manang joy came out and said this was the one he desperately wanted after silver behind kit Rock two years ago and he delivered under pressure the Kenyans really took that out they were hoping for a 1-2-3 not to be but what do you make of this finished he would there be any reason for a protest from mesh out on the inside is Ingebrigtsen just fears across yeah there is yes obviously a being across but he still there's still a gap there yeah there's still a gap he is across even more there though as he dies to the light well we'll have to wait and see if the spaniards protest and then it might go to a jury but at the moment it still stands [Applause] just the two relays to come on the track men's and women's 4x4 they will bring the curtain down on what has been an absolutely sensational ten days of live athletics bashing he's already to world champion this the 240 last chance to prove the crowd here got the stadium to himself Oh just clipped it with his heel as he gets miles over we thought he was in spectacular form and the Olympic silver medalist is now the world champion to go alongside his world indoor crown in 2014 and his world junior title in 2010 he just looked unstoppable tonight you couldn't see anybody beating and to be honest he completely controlled that meant I job finals he arrived only three centimeters ahead at the rest of the world on the world rankings but how smooth did he look in qualifying and then taken an aim to the final attempting to 40 getting back to the heights he was trying to get over a couple of years ago a dominant display by Bosch him in that lens hi job final an enormous metal already another tipped of a gold in the men's high jump luta sebastian is the world champion like oh the young man from russia competing as a neutral the silver and magic ghazzal the first male free syria - in a world championship medal he was absolutely delighted [Applause] fireworks flying as far shem is announced to the crowd as the new world champion can't believe it Steve Catherine and Peter just two events to go it's been absolutely sensational it just seems so strange we're back to the four by fours well it's been a long day we've had the walks this morning 50k walk then the 220k walks and now we're coming to the last two events well I'm sure they're going to be absolutely fantastic to finish off what is as you said a great championship it really has so medal presentation for the women's 5000 meters what a great finish by Helena very barely put a foot wrong this season but now Martha I honor the champion in the 10,000 meters really made her work for it a very tried to take the lead the 650 to go I honor state Berg on the inside when the Kenyan struck on the last steps that time the Europeans had a fascinating world record holder had no response I'm Eunice nights on the track for the Kenyans gold in the men's 15 gold in the women's 5 snuffer our showed will make the medal presentation [Music] she came charging through on the last lap remember Sheena so positive in the 1500 sip on his own and finished him richly deserves this moment on the podium she's actually closing fast as I honor doesn't matter sip and Hasan is the World Championship bronze medalist what a great performance World Indoor champion now has a world outdoor medal well she was attempting a world championship double that had only been done under the interior the tarnish to bother gold and bronze last year in Rio gold and silver this time a really great fit to outrun everyone including the Kenyan rival but she just ran out of steam on the last 250 meters but it has once again been a stellar championship around as I honor what a great range this Canyon brilliance over the 1,500 3,000 and 5,000 a World Indoor champion an Olympic silver medalist and now world champion outdoors over 5,000 meters and she beat one of the Great's of all time on routes to that gold an incredible burst of speed on the last lap and not even Ayane could respond and what a wonderful moment now for a beery here in the urban stadium she gets to hear the Kenyan national anthem [Music] [Applause] five times there but there is wonderful wind in the 5000 and manga noise just winning that 1500 meters means the Kenyan team move up into second place of the medal tally just behind the United States they've got five gold medals three by South Africa and nine by United States that's the wonderful performance from the Trinity [Music] a great win from a beer eat the Sheep and set some even faster times for the remainder of this season though maybe next year a berry on top of the world to event still to come don't forget yep - to go Rob all by 400 meter finals the women will be first there's a team from Germany's they'll start out in lane number nine BOTS ran up familiar face of a mantle one show she'll bring them home and then just a little bit behind and leading the second group the squad's coming out for this war by for final that's the team from Nigeria looking happy looking relaxed [Applause] patience George she'll leave them off then the team from Jamaica the defending champions familiar face is there the mathletes that have been there and done it before sort of their squadron that World Championship final when they won gold two years ago Great Britain in Northern Ireland and the team from the USA well they'll come out shortly with Poland and France to contest this woman's four by four hundred meter final on a wonderful evening the word Wonderful's been used a lot the last few days will in fact throughout this whole Championships so the final female action before the men come out it's time for the final of the women's all by 400 meter relay world leaders the USA setting 25-year 322 one point six six now they go faster or with the team they've got assembled on paper it looks likely this is a world championship final a bit unpredictable there's a team from Germany they'll start on the outside in lane number nine Botswana number eight to them inside let's rather to be the team from Nigeria [Applause] on the moves [Applause] defending champions [Applause] defending champion who started lane number six and a big role Great Britain nor the at least two years ago and then the strong team to the United States for women in the world have run under 50 seconds this year three of them are in their lineup the teams from Poland their lineup in lane number three and then completing the lineup the team from France so it can ultimate events are the world championships but always exciting women's 4 by 400 meter relay and that's an overhead shot potentially a team that could win another world title for the USA they've won this title seven times Allyson Felix she'll be on the second leg the world leader this year over the colander meter distance she got a bronze in the 400 gold in the 4 by 100 meter relay she now has 15 world championship medal she's the Past Murli naughty she's the past Usain Bolt and the American team of Hayes Felix Wimbley and Francis is a very very strong one can anybody stop the Americans I'm not sure Katherine it really is a quality lineup 321 66 that world lead then you're looking to the likes of Great Britain bronze medalists in the last two years and you know what psychological bonus to a team when you've got someone as decorated and experienced as Alison Phoenix well they're bringing in Phoenix they've also brought in Phyllis Francis for their last leg and she won the individual medley over the 400 meters like I say Felix 4965 whenever hazel leave the last 4972 and Phyllis Francis 992 you have to go with that American team don't you for second I think you also have to go for Jamaica and that the mere more of a battle on for third very strong Jamaican team there is they've got the very experienced nobody Williams Mills on their final leg made the 400-meter final here wasn't that tall championship team that won two years ago as was sharika Jackson who runs third leg for them he's been the 400 meters near Jackson so defending champions they may not be no but first it in their team but with Gordon McLaughlin will be Jackson and Williams Mills they'll be in with a shout as well Cantara Hayes the world number two this year there is the ever experience nobly Williams Mills five world championship medal she has come back from health problems battled breast cancer and he still weren't running on the world stage at a very high level the British team is running Lane number five Clarke Nielsen royal and diamond runs a couple of years ago yeah they brought in a lead or the team captain who was taking the place of Perry shake stratum who ran in the aids yet 400 meter hurdle finalist here a lead oil at the back of Zoe Clark is semi-finalists over the 400 meters here did well though ran a personal best fifty 1.81 seconds so the final set up is being made of the blocks to this woman's four by four hundred meter final the athletes wait Emily diamond she'll run the final leg for the British team the mantle Mon show a formal world champion she'll be on the final leg for Botswana so the final of the women's 4 by 400 meter relay will it be in eighth gold in this event for the USA and the defending champions Jamaica win the title again here's your lineup as always throughout these championships from lanes two to nine are being used in the free event favorites the USA starting for the defending champions in six and the bronze medalist two years ago Great Britain Northern Ireland starting five so we're ready to rock and roll Germany will start on the outside in lane number nine smell my ruler puncture Logan Fowler she'll bring them lone Botswana we brought home by a man c'mon show the former world champion in eight Nigerian seven Mason's George on the first day in a Jay on the last there's the defending champions Gordon McLaughlin will be Jackson's Williams bills center lane for Great Britain and Northern Ireland they look good in qualifying Clark Milton Doyle and diamond the United States pays Felix Wimbley and Frances : all start in lane number three just eNOS Petey we'll bring them home on the final leg and then in lane number two the French team six in 2015 the final of the 4 by 400 meter relay for women France Poland USA Great Britain Northern Ireland Jamaica Nigeria Botswana and Germany they've had a wonderful championships the USA can enlist an ultimate event they win gold again [Music] so a clean start as expected in a 4x4 when Jimmy the final when era Hayes of the USA in lane number four as expected as his Gorge of Nigeria in late number seven so wanna be close and trying to hold on to Panera haze Jamaica going well number six so Jamaica Nigeria pays for the USA they'll swing round into the home straight is the longest leg of a four by four hundred meter relay they stay in lanes and hand it over and Chris and Gordon of Jamaica's had a wonderful leg last banana haze of the USA Nexian who hands over first this United States of America on Johnson Phoenix the athlete ever in World Championship history Phoenix down the backstraight has been an injury to Jamaica injuring two across the world but down the backstraight is a huge lead already for the Americans massive disappointment poorly Jamaicans that creates an opportunity for others Anderson Phoenix leads watch the Nigerians they're in second place Great Britain coming through in third and the Ducks warnings in the balls trying to come right on the outside Phoenix is out in a cross and around here great running by the British quartet Thailand in third USA Great Britain Poland that's the top three shakeela with but look at the battle for the other medals a lead oil [Applause] Great Britain the walls on the third leg for that Nigeria trying to get back into this one in fourth place Mary continue become the leading is the Punisher [Applause] USA we finish boxes now [Applause] individual women [Applause] the British team the partition sweetie she's potentially going to be swallowed up [Applause] macho trying to get back in the mix but the USA have gone when is ronsis for the [Applause] well there was some superfast running by the French team and the night [Applause] a two-second the Americans well I mentioned the fourth athletes of authority 50 seconds in the two great running by then soup two running by the British TV : well they did - got the bronze own finishing class why you just can't fake that sort of quality and the Americans had it in depth didn't they poured it on it poured it on Felix well when she's strode down that Bank straight on the second leg it was all over it really was but let me read you out this that I got for the US team 50.5 behaves from a standing start then Felix 48.8 what about Mitch years then Wembley 49:6 pretty good and fella sparks is broke below fifty point one undressed well a great performance from the Americans in Phoenix I think was that was the real key to that pitch if there ever was the shoe made it without any question out of context for everybody else break ground for the Great Britain team tragedy though for the Jamaican team and their second leg it was almost as if they're gonna moving challenge the Americans and it was all over well it's almost as if the Jamaicans are jinxed at this championship they have been so unlucky and so uncharacteristically out of sorts as opposed to the United States who now have twin Gold's ten silver medals and nine bronze medals great performance from the British quartet I think when the Jamaicans went out Katherine that gave them a massive opportunity and they took advantage of it and gave brilliant opportunity to hang on to shoulder well they did they're always going to be in contention you know a medalist a couple of years ago in the center of the shop their larvae and Nilsson ran an absolutely storming second leg just like she did in the qualifying Peter I don't know what her split was for the British athlete no I haven't got that yet but I mean she ran 50.5 or so in the qualifying in it this was surely at least as good tremendous performance and on all marks to her 80 Doyle to because he hasn't been in top form this year but they brought her in for this race slightly questionable to replace check straighten but he was very strong wasn't it when it mattered confirmation then USA take gold again 390 0 to Great Britain and Northern Ireland pick up a medal with silver and Poland pick up the bronze six seconds that's just an incredible winning margin totally dominant we look at Phyllis Francis here on the final leg it's a wonderful transition to be in a 4 by 400 meter relay I promise you when your teammates have done everything for you and you just have to close round but look at the battle here meteor Poland went wide into the second Lane she had an absolute blinding leg as well the Polish athlete but such was the advantage that the British team had she couldn't close back on Emily diamond muschietti is one of those great athletes on relays particularly we've seen it time after time but she runs really well on the last leg for them they brought her in for that lovely smooth action here Americans in a different class and for Allyson Felix she's got 16 World Championship medals she was desperately disappointed with her bronze in the individual 400 meters the relay split the futures just told us well you know the story she could have replicated that any individual then it would be a different story but some athletes a totally different aren't they in relays than what they are in the individual ends I think really as I said before Felix's that second leg for me was a real highlight you know because she literally just tore down the backstraight I've never seen her do anything like that in the individual and in the end she came back to that wonderful performance well anything subs 49 seconds in terms of obviously individual running is absolutely superb but even in relay running P through 48 points splits is something that not many have done in recent years so you have to allow a little bit for a running start don't you say you weren't too quite to replicate that in an individual race but that's certainly worth there well in the mid 49 s anyway [Applause] well it was a wonderful race by the Americans standing championships for them it really was that such was the strength of their team they picked up the gold medal so the medal ceremony for the women's 800 meters another American picking up a medal here J Wilson ran a good race to pick up a bronze but the athlete who's picking up her third world championship gold to match South African Constance Amelia Thursday Maria was a fedora rider Belaya treasurer given the order presenting the athletes with their medals medal for the USA r.j. Wilson [Music] the US record holder the US Champion picks up a global medal [Music] you really didn't do anything wrong the American took it as hard as we expected and a nice smile and a well-earned bronze one 5665 the silver medal it went to Burundi the World Indoor champion Rio silver last year and silver in London of these World Championships Ram Singh Leon Saba [Music] inside 156 all the fire is inside one minute 59 it was a fast race she tried to run the legs of the South Africa caster Semenya the third gold as I mentioned to add to her two Olympic titles 155 178 fastest of all time [Applause] meddle in the 15 month and gold in the 800 we don't miss you leave the nationalist abuse you do ladies and gentlemen the National [Music] [Applause] in total [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] once again championship [Music] so as the women's 800 meter medleys depart the podium of action they could fast of course all events they are concluded apart from the last piece of action of these World Championship the men's 4 by 400 meter relay but next up we're going to award the medals for the women's discus and justice caster Semenya was a huge favorite for the women's 800 meters sandra kerkovich of croatia they're in the center of be shot with a huge favorite in this women's discus [Music] [Music] Elena do the odds of a a vice president back again on a war duty so it was a good competition rapper is a real battle for the medals especially of course the silver and the bronze Molina Raghava Sean of France [Applause] [Music] fix up the bronze medal for the French team [Music] [Applause] 66 meters in 21 seasons benched for the French championship race two years but Danny Stevens the Australian at the competition of their life of course sixty-four well Australian got gold we sanitation announced silver with Stevens under the smiling broad influence of the line picks up the silver medal for the gold medal goes to Croatia Sandra Kosovich to time two-time world champion there's one the time 2030 picked up a silver two years ago back on top of the podium here in London [Music] 70 meters and 31 me that was a dominant display by the Croatian [Music] [Applause] [Music] so sample could be huge operation huge sensation these World Championships take the two time LeBron's the gold is one of the pre-event favorites [Music] so in terms of live-action just the men's for my full spinal there will be very special opportunity for those in the stadium to say goodbye to the greatest sprinter who ever lived nip drop the track last night now we get to bid his farewell in style in front of a packed stadium the end of what has been without doubt one of the best editions of the either belayer World Championships no one has left the stadium yet we've still got any metal presentations to come for the men's 1500 the men's high jump final women's four by four of course yet another gold for Allyson Felix one last race to come can the Americans finish with 11 gold medals they will have just seen their female counterparts storm to the title can they do the same it's the final of the men's pour by 400 meter relay hard to believe this brilliant 16 today ssin of the Ida Malaya's World Athletics Championships is drawing to a close the last event traditionally the relay here we go the three-ball a brother's coming out for Belgium pork last year in Rio the Cubans are really good teams bronze in this event back in 87 please man colossus less gay goes anchor for them good quartet so to the trinidad and tobago team sabina on third leg la longue Gordon for but the silver in Beijing the Spanish through to their third world championship Carnot superb in qualification Basilius got them off to a lightning-quick start Poland arguably one of the better European teams in this event won gold in 99 three bronze medals what a team as expected from the United States Olympic champions world champions will it be a seventh consecutive gold in this event and Great Britain get on the podium once again Pudsey smith power music rooney and they take on the might of the Americans and the French quartet Daniels on lead leg four then a team Grinnell brings them home gold on home soil in Paris in 2003 while the American team really will take some beating will London the bird Gil Roberts 44 84 in the semi-final michael cherry and Fred Curley who became the seventh fastest man in history with 43 17 this year but was disappointed with only finishing seventh in the individual final Mark Hudson Smith goes lead leg for Great Britain 44 74 in his semi-final can he get the Brits off to a big start Rooney the man of experience on the anchor leg as is so often the case two golds two silvers two bronze medals in this event for Britain how will they fare here today what a team Katherine from the United States well indeed [Applause] it's a little bit more open to me though this one it's not as clear-cut as it is the women's fall by for final was the British team as you mentioned Robin Lane number three with Matthew Hudson Smith leading them off meeting Rooney he's making history is now the athlete in the men's fall by four that's made the most finals in world championships so the experience you say is there but this time here where you wait for your teammate to do their job this is where the athletes are then brought out placed in position at the 200 meter point of where your teammate is and you're not allowed to move on that line but there's Matthew Hudson Smith big responsibility for him here setting off the British team thought he ran well in the semi-finals even though he didn't make it 44 74 he's up against will London the third one of the best names we've experienced here these championships there is the London the third goes in lane for long long leg this one we should mention the Trinidadians as well because although Sardinia isn't in the kind of form that saw him run 4401 he's on the third leg for them and went out in the semis it's a really good quartet Kareem Richards goes second leg for them and what a great bronze he had in the 200 meters I think he's one of the most exciting new talents that we've seen here brilliant in the 200 and I think he's got the strength to do the 4 as well well the long golden didn't go quite so well in the individual fall but he's had a medal here in London at the Olympics five years ago the fall a trio Jonathan on second leg then Dylan and Kevin it's than dependent on the lead leg for them and remember they were just got the podium in Rio last year and the Cubans have a good team as well collazo am lead leg the domeless gate on anchor and watch her silly austere Spaniard on the first leg he was absolutely flying TV individually in the semi-finals he goes lead leg all these Spaniards who are in their third final never finished Maidan fifth I don't think this is it then it's the very last event of what has been a sparkling championship the United States possibly favorites in that watch the Trinidadians in seven Great Britain will be roared on by the home crowd in three and the Belgians on the outside the three ball a brothers and found abandoned pinball a on ankle was bought in the semi-finals the kyboot quartet collazo should have a good leg for then unless Cape will bring them home Trinidad silver two years ago will they be on the podium again Solomon and Richards could be the key man on the second leg bacillus PV here individually and he get these Spaniards off to a big start Poland a very very good quartet USA they've seen their female counterparts win this one could be closer though big opportunity for the Britons Hudson Smith needs an excellent first leg he's got the form to do it Daniel goes lead leg for the trench so the final of the men's 4 by 400 meter relay Branson to Great Britain in three USA for Poland five Spain six 20.7 Cuba eight Belgium nine the curtain comes down on one of the great editions of the idol AF World Championship can the Americans round off a fine ten days with gold will Great Britain give their home crowd reason to cheer once more the final at the men's 4 by 400 meter relay the last event is underway London deferred for the United States and a good run there by Hudson Smith Trinidad going well now it's in Lane seven it's Jaron Solomon for Trinidad Hudson Smith is trying to close the gap on London the third stain running well with muscle loss on the outside van defendant just beginning to tie up a little bit excellent run by the Trinidadians now London that burn is coming away Hudson Smith having to hang on a little bit how are they fix that the first changeover USA Spain Poland crack Clinton whereas a great finishing search was made from London the USA going to go down the backstraight in the lead in this one spider running wonderful [Applause] jury Richards to the second decision you are saying to rather Tobago and great richer what a brilliant second they fight Richards the 200-meter now is showing great class over the full lap USA leading with Jill Roberts Richardson second he's tiring written in third very tight between the silver and bronze medalists Spain in four at the moment with the French and the Dornish trying to close Michael Gerry down the backstraight wanna let this could be from rattler you sick he's up against Sardinia called place in Rio last year really good running by the leaning tree Jerry can't use it find something to come up onto the Trinidadian shoulder Spain and Belgium in fourth and fifth at the moment Jerry's long low-beam stride but look at Sardinia closing the gap but religion what's an enter that leg in the now animate the semies America Canada Great Britain Spain in for Martin really trying to close the gap miss Lamont Gordon on the other leg the Trinity candyman surcharge on the American the seventh fastest athlete in history Curley the fastest man in the world this year Judy that his second and look at Rooney water performance final Britain he's getting warm online it crowd who's taking the last gold but one of the greatest editions of the World Championship Lamont Gordon with the run of his life drilling up finish the 2017 World Championships with gold so good for the United States and it's bronze for Great Britain Wow a race of the very highest Jonah Curley the fastest man in the world this year is tonight by the launch Gordon and a platform for the Trinidadians came and the secondly richer enriches the Caribbean nation have never taken gold in this event but they have now and in what romantic fashion well they've not only be to the you the world leading time off them as well - fifty eight point one - wow what a run by Richards on the second leg retreated Adam Tobago he swept down the backstraight it can't be long before he moves up to the one that distance and when he does that is very exciting but what a great run by the British team as well marcin rooney he's not been in the best form this year some people questioned his inclusion into the British squad but when you've got as much experience as he had he was chasing down wasn't he Fred Curley what a race what a fitting end and a wonderful race as Rob said to the World Championships what a great performance from the Trinidadian team every single one of those athletes run suitably well they had to to beat america every single one of them and in the end much deserved gold medal really was the Americans a little let down by the last two runners in fact cherry 44 nine and Fred Curley a very disappointing forty four eight and of course Gordon was much quicker than that but on the second leg they had killed Roberts running 44 - and will London have given them a terrific start with a from a standing start 44 7-5 [Applause] the United States after settled the silver it was a great quartet of individuals that the Trinidadians ran brilliantly as a team they've never won this world title and what a way to do it here in London they're going to be disappointed it's the title they've won nine times previously at the world championships but Peters right there's a couple of the runners there Fred clearly in particular he got into the individual 400 meter final but he came seven the second fastest man in the world this year bhai wave and Nico you expected more from him at this championships and he was really under pressure at one point for the bracelet was Martin Rooney will take nothing away from this trinidad and tobago team they came and they delivered on a quartet that would be Oh the journey being welcome attribute celebrations imagine those celebrations on Leon yeah will be absolutely huge and I'm really pleased for Cedeno there because he hasn't had a great season he was so close to a medal in the Olympics last year he's been struggling to recapture that form but the strength he showed at the end of the penultimate leg gave the Trinidadians the platform so as they took on curly Gordon the veteran of the team for Trinidad showing all his experience which the demeo's last 100 meters was big for him and the penultimate leg you see here and the final 200 meters the British athlete on your right Martin Rooney is in a great position because he's chasing so he can hunt them down but in the final few meters here look at this the American was leaning into the bend he was looking up at the big screen there Fred Curley was looking to hang on but there was no chance because the long Gordon with his big long stride look at that one striding away this Thurston second breaker Lee's dying and Martin Rooney just couldn't catch the American but three really well deserved medals they're able along Gordon's look at or tried his hardest what a grateful he was in trouble coming off the bed he really did my god they're just pressurized and coming down the home straight and look at the way he's tightening that the American shoulders go back heads down side to side he knows he's lost it really and lost it for the team as well because trinidad-tobago had the run of their lives all of them did it was absolutely sensational and what about Sharia Richards over the 400 on that second leg he was absolutely magic the lawn Gordon well he's had medals in London here before at the Olympic Games but not a gold what a way to do it an amazing win for the Trinidadians who will be heralded as national heroes when they return home with four gold medals from this event absolutely sensational I don't think any of those guys will ever have to buy a beer on the island again they're only gold medal of the World Championships as well they'll get them a couple of extra rounds surely when they're out celebrating Trinidad and Tobago bring the house down in London in style gold for the Caribbean island for the very first time in this event United States silver Great Britain the bronze a medal in every relay here in London so if you've kept us company over the last ten days stay with us we still have an opportunity to say goodbye to Usain Bolt in the meantime we have the medal ceremony for a very dramatic 1500 meter final and the presidents of the 'iw said comb Olympic 1500 meter champion will be making this presentation european on the coaches this event for the first time in 17 years [Music] the shard of Spain just missing out and in front of him collapsing over the line to make sure he has this moment in the spotlight and I'm sure the iw president so sweet delighted this championship has turned out over 700,000 people and so many shot performances well being the Brixton bowing on hugely talented Henrik was hip there in London five years ago brother Philip takes the world championship wrongs and younger brother Jakob just 16 years of age already knocking out sub for minute miles less moment of ingre Britain's career by far a real tussle in their Charlotte's Fame he won it representing with gross receipts Timothy cherian takes the silver his complete reott did two years ago behind a spell Kid Rock 7 in that final in China he climbs all the way up to the podium a wonderful finish by him [Applause] he said in the lead-up to this championships after taking silver in China in 2015 there was only one metal that would do for the fastest man in the world this year he came and beat them all including the defending champion as Phil Kippur Elijah man Hank going in Shores Kenya take both 1500 meter titles he is the champion of the world the night fastest man in history but that's surely the most important win of his career so far yet another gold for Kenya yet another rendition of their rousing national anthem [Music] [Applause] producing yet another goal for Kenya that means they have five shows second on the table to the great performance by United States but they also got two silvers and four bronze they've had a great championships - for the Kings in the pickle bins they double up and also want the two genders for women as well so they've had a great great championships at the middle of long distance here at the world championships well as the nan chariot and Ingebrigtsen celebrate we now have an opportunity to say goodbye to the greatest sprinter in history he will have this stadium all to himself we may hear the cheers just beginning to rise he is out on the stadium he's in Lane six the crowd responding many have stayed in the stadium because we still have some medal presentations to come [Applause] to introduce a mountain sickness acquaintance we've seen in this [Applause] how's it be for you how you feeling right now it's been a rough couple of days for me I'm up to be the stadium with such wonderful people but this is gonna be emotional we'll see how it goes fair enough please don't focus in the last couple of rough days focus on the last ten years of joy you brought to millions of people around the world I mean this is her people are so appreciative not only of your tongue what you've achieved as an athlete but how you conduct yourself I've said it many times you are the savior of this sport I don't know how they're gonna replace you well I've always tried my best and I mean you guys know I come out here every time I touch a track I come on I give the ones you present all the time I just want to entertain and put on a good performance for my friends as always and for me I just wanna thanks for the support it's been events it's been just outstanding you guys have really showed me a lot of love I really appreciate we've got a gift that we know would mean a lot to you and to present it is obviously our iwf president Sebastian Coe and the Mayor of London City can this is something hopefully you frame on a big wall of yours at home you deserve it my friend [Applause] now we're going to us now this is a part of the track which we hope it means so much to you you saying you literally lit this place on fire in 2012 and we want you to keep it forever please unveil ladies and gents this is a part of the track where you say but what many got better he's given this book so much it's been an honor to work in bodies with approval please show your appreciation to insist these [Applause] the big screen is a montage of world wishes [Applause] is the most incredible piece of sprinting good world has ever seen I'm not sure that I will ever see an athlete about caliber again in my lifetime I love you got that morning dorotea pounds he imperious Usain Bolt it's confidence his sense of fun and his unbelievable ability have lit up the entire world and everybody who's in this stadium tonight you say you give her some of the best moments of my life I really appreciate are the best in your retirement full respect pick up all the time he is without doubt the greatest sprinter in history [Applause] around the truck probably looks nobody has done in the past let's ejects the one the only the remarkable Yusei [Applause] [Music] this is a journey that started 15 years ago when he warned the world junior titled home in Kingston at the age of 15 he has without doubt lit up the world just like Muhammad Ali and he's done it all with that incredible sense of fun that has endeared him to all four corners of the earth forget about what happened here in London let's focus on the 11 world titles the multiple world records the eight Olympic golds he has transcended the boundaries on his sport and it is so fitting that we now have an opportunity to simply say thank you his emotions must be all over the place you can tell he will be disappointed that what happened here in London we didn't run the race as he wanted he didn't pick up the medals he wanted but when you look over the career that you've just mentioned robbed of everything absolute pleasure to have been around to witness captain's actually kill him up here surprise he spirit gifts to us for 20 husband [Music] hard to replace simply a replaceable but haven't we all been so privileged to be able to follow his deeds over the years I certainly kept myself as such having seen him at the Olympics have you seen him at the worlds time and time again and had the privilege to commentating on as well he has transcended a sport one day maybe maybe someone will match his times but what no one will ever be able to do is recreate the sense of fun with which he has achieved these remarkable feats it's not just his prowess it's his personality that is made him so loved around the world his character is just absolutely extraordinary and every time he raced he managed to do so under the most intense pressure as if he was back in Jamaica running on the grass for fun and surely that's what no one else will be able to reproduce even if his records go the manner in which he's done it will always be revered and treasured and could surely never be repeated it just touched the tournament about there that's obviously there's a lot to it really yeah you know hard to put into words what he's given to this sport it really is as you said while Pratt Ronnie he's come out every single time to complete under the most immense pressure the whole world has been watching and waiting for him every single time he's run and that's a big ask for any man he's done it for the last one 12 15 years now as I said I watched him when he was a little dangling 15-year old he really was he keeps the wound of 200 meters and even then the crowd loved it because afterwards he was dancing around and enjoying himself and I think he's carried that through a month against all that pressure that he's had all that expectation that he's had over the last 10 or 12 years and to do that I think there's a measure of a man it really is it's been the theme of his whole career enjoyment fun it's helped him run the fastest times you've ever seen over the sprint races I was waiting for the Bob Marley music to come out he's taking it all in looks like he's getting a little bit of ocean and understandably so as well but now he could do whatever he wants enjoy his life to the fullest and he will and quite rightly so that is what he should do go home and just enjoy being around his friends going to a party not going up and training three times a day he owes the world nothing and we owe him a debt of gratitude and a whole host of memories that are indelibly etched on our lives [Applause] the greatest there has ever been [Applause] just listen to the travels then all state behind [Applause] I just want to say thank you at the bar [Applause] [Music] what a moment for the two or three little kids who do come out on the track they look back on that I was there I witnessed it and we're not getting the big showboating we're not getting the big smiles because like I say it's a complete roller coaster of emotions for Usain Bolt's might take a little while to settle in he's never done a running game he's never gonna compete against he never has to train again if he doesn't want to mum and dad well the name do is that Fergana and there they are mr. and mrs. Boult I begin to imagine how crap they are their little boy right ethically he hasn't changed he's still the same character that he was when he was 15 those are the numbers but it's the man we've loved the last 15 years as we said those records might conceivably go one day but the memories of how he's done it will never ever fade with time [Applause] we've enjoyed watching this man for a decade and a half and yet he has still left us wanting more [Applause] [Applause] well how on earth do we follow that the sport will continue and has to continue without Usain Bolt and we turn our attention to a fine fine champion who deliver the performance I'm sure the great man himself Lord it's the medal ceremony pull the men's high jump at last the second best jumper in history is a world outdoor champion tonight darlin vomit I'd ever make vice president making the presentation tonight what a moment for this man largest gas out his the first man from Syria to win a World Championship medal all around him were falling by the wayside wasn't the highest jump we've ever seen for a medal doesn't matter the second time clearance at 229 bringing him the bronze he is a real hero back home and brings them reason to celebrate at a difficult time what a big challenge this young man is it's a conveyor belt of talent coming out of Russia for the high jump winning this medal as an authorized neutral athlete World Championships silver at the age of just 20 [Music] moments in the spotlight for him what about this fella 2:43 back in 2014 agonizing ly close to shot am i also GG world record Brutus s abortion the Olympic silver medalist the World Indoor Championship a couple of years ago is down the world outdoor champion a glittering gold to match his huge talent he was absolutely flying tonight he teased us with an attempt at 240 with a clear car all the way up to 235 surely surely one day he will once again get close to that world record [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] intercessor Basham world champion a great victory for him brilliant silver tonight same comb and what a moment for the Syrian collecting the Bronx carried the flag here for his nation in London five years ago and last year in Rio he's a World Championship bronze medalist [Music] [Music] two more mental presentations to come both the poor my Falls and the official handover to Doha they take the baton as they look ahead to the 17th edition of the I double AF World Athletics Championships and how the home crowd will hope Vashem can recreate his gold here in the high jump the women's 4x4 presentation coming very soon and right on cue they enter the stadium with grounds of state yes they stayed to see Usain Bolt do his massive on them but they're also staying because Great Britain Northern Ireland have two medals to collect the USA have more medals to collect every single fan that these whole World Championships absorbing every piece of action that they can so the question was could you make could defend their title they crashed out with injury Riccardi I double AF council member making the presentation so with the defending champions gone what an opportunity of water run from Poland they pick up the bronze medal then will the beam wanna Clodius in the women's 4x4 at World Championships all ran really solid legs to pick up the bronze medal for Poland [Music] sorry three minutes twenty-five tears in their eyes and understandably so bronze medal goes to Paris Great Britain and Northern Ireland pick up the silver medal for Neilson Doyle and diamond I've upgraded the bronze from two years ago the bronze in Rio at the Olympics last year to silver here in their own backyard but their World Championships Zoe Clarke a semifinalist in the 400 wonderful running in the qualifying and the final by Lobby Anil spot the second leg British team captain a lead oil 400 meter hurdle finalist here it would like on and Emily diamond brought it home the circle number five for the British team what are the gold medals went to the United States silver two years ago behind Jamaica but eight times now the US of A have won the women's 4 by 400 meter relay banana Hayes Allyson Felix her sixteenth world championship medal now the first in history [Music] the individual 400 meter champion Phyllis Francis such was the lead her teammates built up brought it home unchallenged in a world leading time of 3 minutes 19.0 to the USA of the United States of America [Music] days of joy put the American women [Applause] he'll adopt rights as it's supposed to be a ticket there was a gold medal for the USA the final track action for the women one more presentation to go there will be for the men's 4 by 400 meter relay but before then we have some business to attend the next World Championships of course going to Dover yes great celebration for the United States ten goals in total for them [Music] London is signing off as the metaphorical baton pans over to Doha for 2019 [Applause] ladies and gentlemen before we conclude the item left world championships London 2017 with our last medal ceremony we want to take you with us on a journey to the next edition of the championships come with us to Doha [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] please welcome how stars representing London and Doha Laura Miller and Reuters as hibachi carrying the item a flag [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] to my tablet president basket [Music] [Applause] [Applause] to continue writing exist in two years time let's visit the future holds [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] are we ready well we certainly hope so Johar in two years time will be fantastic but they've got a tough job London has been sensational seven hundred and one thousand tickets sold over the last ten days and in terms of drama what a fitting ending the very last track action reduced magic Caribbean island not Jamaica this time but a superb quartet from Trinidad who were not to be denied a great great gone president of the IDA Malaya overseeing this very last medal presentation what a performance Great Britain on the podium again a medal in all four relays plus the individual gold and silver from open the courgette Markinson smith 20 Cowan rather Youssef and Martin Rudy [Music] [Applause] [Music] Martin Rooney must be running out of room in his presentation cabinet he'll relay medals great job anchoring them home to grant [Music] threat curly overhauled at the end remember he first got to the global scene becoming the seventh fastest in history with forty three point seven but was disappointed with in individual performance in the four hundred meters we'll London the third Jill Roberts I can cherry red curly so often it's been gold for the Americans nine in total six in a row but they were denied courtesy of absolute heroics on the last leg for Trinidad's the for men's has about to stand on top of the podium becomes heroes back home no Trinidadian quartet have ever won a world or Olympic gold in the for my for relay absolutely sensational Jared Solomon went lead leg for them Doreen Richards Rand a leg of his life Franz Indy 200 surely a career at 400 follows Cedeno finished with great strength on his third leg closing the gap and allowing the long Gordon to produce the race of his life an individual medalist here five years ago part suspects with his teammates this one will mean even more Trinidad and Tobago picking up the very last gold of the games what a moment and what a race to bring the curtain down here in London [Music] Chile long [Music] Sullivan Richards Sardinia gone for me too and look forward to an unbelievable reception when they return home to Trinidad fantastic climax to the race they ran their hearts out for each other and Wratten themselves into the history books a sensational finish to the race I hope they enjoy the athletes party tonight got a funny feeling they will [Music] so that's it we've almost got a little tinge of sadness here in the commentary box it's been a very very long last day we started with the he-man of The Walking fraternity the 50k got underway at quarter to 8:00 this morning tonight we've said goodbye to the greatest sprinter in history and we had some fabulous relay action to bring the house down here in London and legacy is alive and well five years ago it was amazing here watching the Olympic athletics this has being every bit as good before we finally say goodbye here's a reminder of the drama that has unfolded over the last 15 hours or so on the last day of the championship [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] a suitably dramatic last day here in London what a result for the United States Bertie medals in total ten golds five for Kenya great finish from them tonight three golds for South Africa caster Semenya rounding it up in style the French producing their third gold first result of the day with Denis is producing the second fastest 50k race walk in history one goal for Germany but it was better not Robert Bahrain one gold one silver and then Jamaica just the one solitary gold this time Omar McLeod and three bronze medals the proud Caribbean island we'll be back with more in the future one gold for Trinidad and they really did save the best for last two silver medals for talu for the Ivory Coast in the sprints great performance and the Tanzanians rounding off that medal table bronze in the men's marathon steve-o met Catherine Mary Peter Mathews final final reflections on a brilliant ten days fascinating feast of athletics throughout some established stars some new ones - plenty of thrills and spills real championship action it's short and sweet for me the unpredictable nature of these World Championships has been so dramatic so exciting we've seen some stars leave us but boy we've seen some great stars are there gonna come that have come through for the future yeah I can't single anybody out I don't think we should because it's just been overall a fabulous fabulous Championships we look forward to Doha if it can repeat this I've booked me a seat well that's it we thank you for keeping this company over the last ten days it really has been as good as the Olympic athletics five years ago this sport is alive and well a very good night see you in Doha in 2019 [Music] [Music] [Applause] you
