Loki Season 2 Recap

hey everybody real quick if you need a recap of Loki season 1 I've got you covered just hit the tab in the upper right hand corner it'll take you right to it now season two picks up right where season one left off Loki is running through the TVA because he's being chased by Mobius who has no idea who he is and Hunter B15 Loki gets cornered and he tries to explain to both of them it's me you guys actually know who I am but they think he's just a variant he commanders a ship that he eventually cracks es into one of the buildings in the TVA but he runs into another familiar face when he gets out of it and it's Casey and just like mobus and Hunter B15 they don't know who he is either at this point Loki is really concerned he has no idea what's going on and then suddenly he just starts to kind of contort his body and he shifted to another Multiverse he's in the TVA and he's in the same location he just was but it's different and this time when Casey sees him he recognizes him Loki Gets a Clue on what's going on though when he looks down at the floor and there's a crack a crack that he had just caused by crashing his vehicle into this location Loki asks Casey how long has that been there and Casey tells him it's been here as long as I can remember and Loki is starting to put the pieces together that he must have been in the past and now he's where he's supposed to be in the present he asked Casey to take him to Mobius but then suddenly he contorts and changes universes again it's not like Casey knows what happened to Loki he just stumbles up to Mobius and Hunter B15 and lets him know that Loki was looking for him and they're very surprised to hear that Loki was there but then they get called into the new judge's Council it's run by General docs and judge Campbell just as Mobius and Hunter B15 head in the elevator Loki comes back he sees Casey he asks where Mobius went and Casey says they went to the war room but on Loki's way to the war room he once again switches universes and this time the war room he ends up in is the one in the past and it's very different this war room has statues of Kang or he who remains whichever one you want to choose nobody's in it but there is a tape of he who remains talking to Ren Slayer saying how they're going to rule together she's perfect in the present day war room you've got Mobius and Hunter B15 having to answer for why exactly they're not pruning the timelines both Mobius and Hunter B15 explain everything about how it's all a farce and judge gamble actually agrees with them after hearing them out she's not going to order that the branches get pruned she's just going to leave it as is see what happens right after she makes this order Loki glitches into the room Loki is so relieved to see Mobius and even more relieved when Mobius recognizes him he starts to explain to Mobius that they found him he who remains the guy at the end of time but he stops his story because he notices that the wall is different those statues of he who remains they've been covered up so Loki grabs a pruning stick off of one of the hunters and he uses it on the wall to reveal the statues that have been hidden he starts telling the entire room that is who built this place gesturing to the face that guy right there stole your life and that is who's coming back mobia starts taking Loki out of the room as Loki is s saying Sylvia was going to kill him but I don't know where she is now when Mobius and Loki leave the room General doc pulls that Hunter aside and says while the timekeepers were fake their warnings are true we need to know what happened at the end of time we need to find out what happened with Sylvie with Loki alone with Mobius he starts explaining everything everything they found and everything that happened with Sylvie he's really really animated about this and Mobius tries to talk him down but MO IUS just isn't understanding the warning that Loki's trying to give him about what's coming when he starts explaining that he who remains built this entire Place mobus says no no I would have remembered that I mean how how do I not remember that and Loki tells him because he wiped your memories and clearly more than once Mobius then gets to the issue of Loki just appearing in a room and Loki starts explaining how he was in the past but he doesn't honestly know how he got here he's been glitching as he's explaining this he glitches out but he comes back pretty quickly Mobius wants to get Loki some help he can't work like this and he mentions how he's going to call Miss minutes but Loki stops him and says no she's in on it she was there with him at the end of time you can't trust her if Mobius can't trust Miss minutes he's going to take lowkey to repairs and advancement all the way down in the basement and in repairs and advancement there is one man working Who's name Ora Boris but he goes by OB for short last time he had a visitor was 400 years ago and it turns out it was actually Mobius although Mobius doesn't remember any of it Obi seems like a super nice guy and they start explaining the issue with Loki and present day OB knows exactly what's going on he tells them that what's happening to Loki is called time slipping but he doesn't know how to solve it and as he's explaining this Loki Time Slips to the past since he's in the same room he's with ob and he starts explaining to OB the issue and it turns out that Loki being in the past is helping present day OB figure out how to stop it because as Loki is telling past OB present day OB is suddenly having those memories it's like they're flooding into them on what this is how to fix it and what they're going to need is a temporal Aura extractor that's going to help get Loki to stop time slipping but in order to execute it it's really difficult Loki's going to have to violently rip himself from every thread of time and space once that happens the extractor will pull him to present day but Mobius is going to have to be outside using that extractor and if he takes too long his skin will literally peel away which doesn't sound that enticing to Mobius as present day OB is explaining this to both Mobius and OB his light starts flickering and he mentions how it's been doing that all day and mobus says no we've been having power issues all day and OB gets real serious and says what did you say because he knows that that's not good with no visitors in nothing but time he's read every manual on the TVA for the first time in God knows how long OB heads upstairs Mobius OB Loki they meet up with Hunter B15 to see the issue they go to some place called the temporal Loom which OB says is the heart of the TVA it's where raw time is refined into a physical timeline with all these new branches of time though it's overheating everything is slowly melting down and OB says we need to prune those extra branches Hunter B15 brings up the fact that if they do that they're killing thousands of innocent people so OB says okay then I'm going to need to close the blast doors to protect the TVA that'll give me some time to retrofit it and figure out how to handle all these branches but when this happens they're not going to be able to resync Loki so it's either now or never and Loki chooses now now Obi gives Loki a device and when this device turns green he's going to prune himself with any luck Mobius who will be outside the blast doors will be able to pull Loki to present day stop the time slipping and they'll be able to get through this thing if it doesn't work though Loki is going to be lost in time forever as they're about to go through with this one of the hunters comes through and mentions how Doc and her crew are raiding the Armory and Loki knows that they must be going after Sylvie Loki wants to go investigate but Mobi stops and says no dude we have one shot at this so Hunter B15 goes to investigate suddenly Loki Time Slips but this time he Time Slips to the future he starts running through the halls of the TVA and the TVA is about to destruct when Loki looks at the device that Obi gave him it's still red so he knows that he still has time to save the future time though is running out Mobius is in position but his suit is deteriorating away and after the suit it's going to be his skin OB is also threatening to close the blast doors but Loki in the future he's just waiting for the AOK he's also trying to figure out what's going on and as he walks down one hallway he just hears a phone ringing then suddenly someone starts prying the elevator doors open from the inside and it's Sylvie who sees Loki and says there you are but he doesn't get a chance to respond because time's up and he has to prune himself Loki gets pulled back to reality just before the blast doors close now at this point Hunter B15 has been able to locate docs and her crew and she gets concerned because there's a lot of them and she can't figure out why all of them and all that Weaponry is for Sylvie now where is Sylvie in a branch timeline in 1982 in Oklahoma she goes to a local McDonald's and she just soaks all the Ambiance in the stuff that we take for granted people just chatting people eating she just wants to try all of it episode 2 starts out in 1977 in London on the sacred timeline Hunter X5 went dark and the last hit on his temp pad was at that location they think that maybe Sylvia has something to do with it but as soon as they show up Loki says no she's not here it's not some apocalypse some war zone there's no chaos life is normal here but Mobius wants to still check it out anyway and when they arrive it's at a movie premiere and they're surprised to see that the star of the movie is Hunter X5 he's decided to make a new life for himself that's why his temp pad went dark and he's been very successful at it but as Hunter X5 is shmoozing the room walking around his mood suddenly changes when he sees both Mobius and Loki he's formed a life for himself that he doesn't want to leave and he knows that these two want to drag him back to being a hunter for the TVA he takes off running Loki Mobius go after him but eventually Loki using his magic are able to Corner him and drag him back to the TVA they arrest him they throw him in holding and they ask him if he found Sylvie but he refuses to answer the other thing is he clearly did something to his temp Pad but he's not telling them what exactly it is Hunter B15 is sure that he will talk he just needs to sit and kind of marinate and holding for a while in the meantime Loki and Mobius take the temp pad to OB to to see if he has any idea what exactly this guy did to it when they arrive though OB is a little bit busy he's trying to fix the loom to handle all these new branches on the timeline because of that Obie doesn't really have time to look into the temp Pad but luckily he did write a manual so he hands them the book and says everything you need to know about the temp pad should be in here and then he goes back to trying to fix the loom while they're downstairs Hunter B15 went to Casey to ask if they've gotten any luck on getting a hit regarding Ren slayer's temp pad and at first he's a little weird about it and says what this like secret mission but she says no it's not a secret mission why would tracking her temp pad be a secret after all she did in case he just kind of nods and says yeah right well no we we haven't gotten any luck on it we're having to search for it manually because Miss minutes is gone and with all the new branches it's like trying to find a needle and a hay stack but I did find something else Ren Slayer erased the data from her ten Pad but I was able to piece together who sent the last message it was Miss minutes as soon as Hunter B15 hears this she knows that Mobius and Loki also need to hear this information so they both walk over to find Loki and Mobius trying to figure out what to do with the temp pad and they let them know what Casey found Loki brings up how when he was in the past he heard an old conversation on a recording with he who remains in Ren Slayer and it did sound like she was partners with them Casey tells everybody that he will continue to search for them but it's going to take some time he then notices Loki fiddling with the temp pad and Loki thinks that it blocks TVA tracking but Casey picks it up and says that's not what it does he's not quite sure what it does but he knows it doesn't do that and that's because Casey has read the TVA manual up and down Casey's going to dive into it and find out exactly what it does do and in the meantime Loki and Mobius want to take a run at Hunter X5 find out if maybe he's ready to talk they need to know three things where's doc where Sylvie and what did you do to that temp Pad but when they go in Hunter X5 isn't in the mood to talk first of all he doesn't go by Hunter X5 anymore he goes by a stage name Brad wolf and Brad wolf has become quite the douchebag the only thing that gets accomplished is Brad pissing everybody off he even manages to piss off Mobius who usually is unfl flappable when he brings up the life that Mobius Left Behind doesn't seem to care about it gets to the point where Loki has to pull Mobius out of that room Loki's never seen Mobius like this before so he takes him to cool down and grab a slice of pie where Mobius does admit yeah okay Brad got under my skin during this pie session Loki does ask Mobius aren you curious about what your life would have been like and mobus says no because that's not my life I actually like to thank the guy who kidnapped me and brought me here the way he looks at it the TVA is the only life he's ever known and he likes it the way Loki looks at it if you don't know what your life could have been you're never going to know how good you could have had it the conversation then gets on track to x5/ Brad and they talk about how they're going to get through and get some answers they've figured that he probably did find Sylvie he just didn't turn her in after that he walked away to form a new life they know that they need to get Brad to reveal where Sylvia is so they decide to play good cop bad cop they both enter and wheel in this giant machine and at first Brad isn't concerned until Loki locks Mobius out of the room and this is all staged but Brad doesn't know it using the machine he's able to trap Brad in a box that gets smaller and smaller until finally Brad is looking like he's stuck in a trunk and if the thing gets any smaller Brad's going to die so Brad of course gives up the information that Loki and Mobius wanted Brad finally reveals that Sylvie has a new life Mobius and Loki then take Brad and get ready to go see this new life that he's talking about but as they head off to 1982 on the branch timeline up in the control room OB is still trying to figure out the loom but there's a problem the blast doors won't open Hunter B15 thought that Casey might be able to help so they stop on by only to find OB screaming we're all going to die that's because when he showed up to plug it in a warning message popped up on the screen saying access denied invalid temporal Aura he then realized that the blast doors weren't opening so when Hunter B15 and Casey show up he's a little frazzled but when Casey realizes that it's OB who wrote the manual he gets Star Struck he actually asked for an autograph they then they'll have to get the mission back on track what to do before this whole thing goes up OB tells him that the only person that can open the blast doors is the person who created it with their temporal Aura meaning the only person that can open it is he who remains they also don't have Mis minutes to help them override the lock so they're stuck Obie can build the device but if they don't find a way in it's not going to matter basically they have to convince a rogue AI to come back to work and help them circumvent the system as they try to figure fig a way to do that Mobius Loki Brad they've all arrived in a McDonald's parking lot in 1982 on the branch timeline and Brad is really Twitchy he doesn't want to be there it's become clear but it doesn't matter Mobius and Loki drag him inside and sure enough there's Sylvie living a completely different life when she sees Loki she goes on her break and the two go outside to talk she asks him why he's there and he says there's been a problem it's complicated but I've been pulled through time between the past and the present but when I was in the future I saw you the TVA is in danger and you were there and I need to know why Sylvie tells him that as much as she would love to see the TVA burn to the ground she has no intention of going back there she's happy with her current life she has no plans on running as for his vision she doesn't know she doesn't care the way that he's talking it sounds like the future's already been written but they both know that can't be anymore because she made sure of it he ask her to enchant him so that she can see what he saw but she has no interest in doing it it doesn't matter what Loki is saying it's just not getting through to Sylvie she doesn't care about his problems and she especially doesn't care about anything that could happen with the TVA he even tries to explain that if she really does like this life then it's the TVA that will protect it because without the TVA all of this everything around her is going to be gone she tries to get up to go back to work but Loki won't let her he asks her are you just going to give everybody Free Will and walk away and she says yeah that's the way it works he then asks her what happens when his Varian show up what are you going to do then and she just says I'll kill him but then they get interrupted by Mobius and Brad who come outside because Brad's been hiding a little secret he tells them if we stay here we're all going to die Sylvia enchants him to see what he's talking about and she realizes that Doc is planning on bombing every single branch of the timeline killing everybody they send Brad back to the TVA and Mobi is getch in touch with Hunter B15 saying they weren't looking for Sylvie they're planning on pruning all the branches Hunter B15 tells them she's already doing that luckily Sylvie had an idea of where docs and her people were so Mobius Loki and Sylvie head there and sure enough you've got TVA agents going through doors and just pruning timelines killing millions they realized that they need to take docks down as soon as possible before before more people die so they go into action Loki and Sylvie run through all the TVA agents some of Doc's loyalist did Escape but doc herself wasn't able to she's arrested and taken back to the TVA when Mobius Loki and yes even Sylvie head back to the TVA they see what destruction docs and her people did they watch in real time as these timelines get pruned as they're all watching the screen Casey gets a hit on Ren slayer's temp pad and as the group congregates around the machine trying to figure out and locate exactly where Ren Slayer is Loki walks up to Sylvie sylv's discussed that this is all they could do and she tells Loki the TVA is the problem it's broken it's rotten I'm going home if it's still there and then she opens up a doorway and goes back to where she came luckily that McDonald's is still there and Sylvie soaks it all in by sitting on the bed of her truck and just looking up in the sky her manager Jack who's probably 17 years old comes out to check on her but she says she's fine and that she'll be in tomorrow in episode three we find out where Ren Slayer and Miss minutes are they're in Chicago Illinois sacred timeline 1868 Ren Slayer was summoned there by Miss minutes and she's pretty confused because it's a crap hole that she walks into doesn't really make sense when Miss Min assures her this was he who remains his plan this is exactly what he wanted you have to take this item deliver it to that window at this exact time and the item is a TVA manual if Ren Slayer does this when he returns back where he belongs the top the TVA she'll be right by his side so she walks over to that window and drops the book off when Ren Slayer does this a little boy named Victor timely ends up finding the book and becoming obsessed with it fast forward to 1893 Victor timley thanks to that TVA manual has become very popular inventor but when Mobius and Loki show up they don't know who Victor timley is they don't even know what this location has to do with any of it but what they do know is the temp pad got a hit on this location and they need to find Miss minutes since Mis minut was the last one to contact Ren Slayer they feel like if they find Ren Slayer they find Miss minutes and they need Mis minutes because the loom is quickly failing they need to either scale it get he who remains back which doesn't really seem like an option at this point or get Miss minutes to override it they feel like their best bet at this point is to get Mis minutes and shortly after arriving at Chicago in the World's Fair they find out they are on the right track because the news isn't really about all the inventions and everything about the fair it's about this ghost clock that's terrorizing those at the fair doesn't take a genius to figure out that the ghost clock is Mis minutes they walk around the fair just looking for for Clues and they finally find one it's a sign advertising Victor timy's temporal Marvels when Loki sees it he's convinced that if they go there they'll find Ren Slayer and they aren't wrong shortly after arriving they do see Ren Slayer from afar but they keep their distance and ren Slayer is with Miss minutes she's carrying Miss minutes around in a bag a few minutes later the show starts with Victor timely and when he finally makes his debut Loki turns to Mobius and says it's him it's he who remains but Victor timley is very very different than he who remains let's just say the guy's public speaking skills aren't great it takes him about 45 minutes to say happy birthday but the Victor timely show displays a very early version of the Loom suddenly they don't really care about getting this minutes they care about getting this guy because he's a variant of he who remains if they get him back to the TVA they can have his temporal Aura and then boom all's fixed but when the show wraps up Victor timley is a very very popular guy everybody wants to get their hands on him because they want to buy his product one particular guy comes up and wants to propose a partnership but Victor just says no I don't do partners he decides to just stand up and start a bidding war and he sells the temporal loom for $1,000 once he gets the money he gets the hell out of there Ren Slayer and also Mobius and Loki are chasing after him Ren slair gets to him first and she's pretty surprised when Loki and Mobius catch up she wasn't expecting to see both of them and this Victor timely guy goes wait you guys know each other and they have to do the awkward well we yeah we used to work together we're kind of an acquaintance but both of them are trying to pull this guy in their Direction Ren Slayer wanting to talk about his quote future while Mobius and Loki want to just save the future as both groups are pitching timely on why he should come with them the guy who just bought the loom comes out screaming how his invention is fake and he wants his money back well Victor timley isn't about to just hand over $1,000 in the 1800s he takes off running well everybody chases after Victor timley and timley is trying to evade the people who handed him money Mobius gets a message from Hunter B15 that Casey has a really weird ten pad reading he doesn't know where it's from and the ten pad reading is about 5T to the left at this point they're standing right next to the new Marvel the ferris wheel and it's at the ferris wheel where Loki has caught up to Victor timley but so has that weird temp pad reading because that weird temp pad reading is Sylvie who's come to kill the variant Loki and Sylvie go back and forth arguing about this while Victor timley is very confused on what is happening Sylvie feeling like to protect the future and free will she has to kill the variant and Loki trying to explain time and time again that if Sylvie truly does love where she lives she needs to let this go and let them bring this guy back to the TVA to save it unfortunately neither group are really understanding the other's side Sylvie throws the TVA handbook and says Ren Slayer sent this guy on a path he wasn't destined for and quite frankly Loki doesn't care he just needs him to save the TVA while they're arguing in a fair Wheel car outside Ren Slayer and Mobius are chatting it up where Mobius tries to explain the severity of the situation to Ren Slayer about how the TVA is about to run out of time and go kaput but Ren Slayer just looks at him and says no there's no Wei anymore there's then an explosion on the ferris wheel because Sylvie tried to attack Victor and Loki was able to stop her but it did cause his explosion where Loki and Victor were thrown from the ferris wheel car right away everybody crowds around both of them so Loki can't find Victor to drag him back to the TVA Ren Slayer gets to him first Victor Ren slay and Miss minutes head back to the location where Victor was staying at first he shows her all his inventions but then he starts focusing on Miss Min asking what exactly she is and Miss minut says I'm a conscious Inc Senti and artificial intelligence entity While most people are terrified of Mis minutes Victor is enamored with her he then asked both of them can you tell me exactly what's going on here and ren Slayer starts to tell him about the version of him that will create the TVA this is a huge stunning Revelation to Victor who grew up reading that TVA handbook Ren Slayer goes into all the murder that is going to happen and how he needs Ren Slayer by his side but when Ren Slayer says that it seems like Miss minutes takes exception to it it seems like Miss minut doesn't think that Victor needs Ren Slayer it seems seems like she thinks the only person that Victor needs is Miss minutes Ren Slayer Cuts back in and lets him know that the loom at the TVA is in trouble and they need him and that's confusing to Victor who says well that's what the wizard told me I mean why aren't you guys working with him and both of them just tell him he can't be trusted he helped kill your variant they then start to hear banging coming from the door and Victor realizes yep it's time to go because people are looking for their money Ren Slayer wants to take him straight back to the TVA but he says no not going anywhere without my latest prototype so the two take off hopping on a ship and sailing away on the journey Victor starts telling Ren Slayer how the TVA handbook has really dictated the course of his life he started taking an interest in things like time and the most important Discovery he's made is something called a Thro poot multiplier and he thinks it could help with the loom at the TVA Ren Slayer looks at him and says I have high hopes for this partnership but a partnership is something he's not interested in so when Ren Slayer falls asleep he drops her Lifeboat in the ocean sailing away with Miss minutes and leaving Ren Slayer to paddle her way to wherever the next day they arrive in his laboratory and he finds the prototype for the throughput multiplier once he puts it in his pocket he says all right I'm ready to go but miss Min says no what's the rush because Miss mines wants to discuss something with Victor it turns out Miss minutes is bitter as hell and even though it's not Victor who did it to her it was his variant she's blaming Victor she always looked at herself as more than friends with he who remains so she's curious as to why he who remains didn't put her in an actual body and that's a question that Victor can't answer he tells her time and time again you do realize I'm not that guy right I'm just like sort of that guy I don't have these answers but miss minut doesn't want to hear it it gets to the point where Victor has to get rid of Miss minutes using the temp pad that he stole from RN Slayer but as soon as he gathers himself after getting accosted by an AI clock that talks in comes Ren Slayer with a pruning device she's pissed with the pruning device pointed at Victor she says I was entrusted with this Mission by he who remains so from now on I'm in charge but then the door busts open and Mobius and Loki are there and they see what RN slay is holding and right away they tell her please stay away from them don't do it they go back and forth and it finally looks like RN Slayer is going to just use the pruning device on Victor but she stopped when Sylvie comes in and throws her against the room sylv's come looking to kill Victor but with the blade pointed at him he looks up at her and says you don't know me you're about to kill me but it's based on somebody else not me Victor timley while Sylvie came to extract Revenge his little speech Works Sylvia who's very conflicted tells Loki and Mobius get him out of here and right away they open up a door back to the TVA and send them through it Mobius and Loki go to follow him but right before they leave Sylvie tells them don't make me regret it she then turns her attention to Ren Slayer she could kill her and she's thought about it plenty but she doesn't she decides to send Ren Slayer back to where she wanted to be back to the end of time in a room with just her Miss minutes and the body of he who remains it's the first time Ren Slayer is seeing what became of He Who Remain his body just sitting there slumped over in the chair dead Ren Slayer tells Miss minutes I had him under control until you sabotaged me and made fools of us and Miss minich shoots back it was foolish of him to make an enemy out of somebody who knows all of his secrets in fact I know a secret about you A big one I can tell you but it's going to make you really angry and episode 4 you find out what that lie is Rona Ren Slayer played a massive part in He Who remains winning that war she truly believed that she would be at the end of time leading it all all the while by his side that together they would rule time but that wasn't the case she left to go to the TVA expecting him to be right behind her but once she went through the portal he pulled up Miss minutes and instructed her to erase ravona along with everybody else's memories ravona says to miss minutes wait so I basically did all his bidding in an attempt to keep him in this Ivory Tower and Miss Min says yeah but you know maybe we don't need him maybe we we never did now back at the TVA Victor timley has arrived he looks around at his surroundings these statues that are clearly of him the depictions of the wall of a war and he's a little spooked shortly thereafter Mobius Loki and Sylvie show up along with Hunter B15 they try to get him to come with them but he's a little hesitant that is until the building starts shaking and he realizes that this has to do with his Loom they start escorting him over to ob's office and he's taking all of this in realizing that he invented it but maybe not really invented it they're not being very descriptive to him because time isn't exactly something they have a lot of when they get into ob's office you've got OB and Casey still trying to figure out how to solve this thing but with no luck as soon as Victor meets OB he freaks out Fang girls all over the place because his entire life has kind of been on a path because of reading the TV manual and OB tells them the only reason I wrote the TVA manual is because the findings of Victor timley so they have a big mutual respect for each other they have no idea whose work came first because Victors is based on obz and obz is based on Victor but at this point doesn't really matter because they have bigger issues OB goes through his plan once they use Victor to open the bay doors they have to run out connect the throughput multiplier to a device that's going to shoot into the loom releasing all the branches and save everybody the problem is there's a lot of radiation out there way more than there was when Mobius was out there and also their throughput multiplier doesn't quite work yet but that's when Victor saves the day because he brought his prototype from the 19th century now his throughput multiplier is just a prototype but they figure that if they combine both brains they'll be able to make it work well those two work on the device Mobius decides you know I'm just going to go grab some pie I mean it is free after all but Sylvie loses her cool on Mobius because she was dragged back here because of all the crap going on and now Mobius wants to act like nothing's going on he just wants to go eat pie even though there's not a lot that Mobius Loki and Sylvie can currently do at the moment she wants to do something she doesn't want to sit back and just enjoy some key lime and this whole little temper tantrum sounds a lot like somebody who's never had that key lime pie and it shows Sylvie storms off and Loki goes after her ironically she takes a wrong turn and ends up in the pie room the two just have a philosophical difference on this Sylvie thinking that Loki is just being naive putting all his faith in people like OB Mobius Hunter B15 and really just the TVA in general she mentions how Doc is still alive and how Doc was the one who was pruning branches killing people but Loki suddenly who's an optimist points out that there are branches that are still alive because of people like Mobius and like Hunter B15 Sylvie though just doesn't like their plan of hoping hoping that all this works out hoping that they return Victor timely and he doesn't turn into he who remains hoping that the TVA can change now speaking of of docs Hunter B15 realized that they're going to need reinforcements in order to protect the TVA against people like Ren Slayer and Mis minutes the person she's going to try to enlist is docs and all of her soldiers that they locked up after having a chat with judge gamble Hunter B15 decided to go and talk to docs convince her that they need to work together at the moment to save the TVA and after that they can talk about their differences so she does that she goes in the holding cell and she pitches docs on working together she's going to let docs think about it for the moment and when she leaves the holding cell she sends one of the other Hunters to go keep an eye on Mobius and Victor and just make sure they're safe as Doc and Brad are discussing if they want to accept Hunter B1 F's offer portal opens up and ren Slayer and Miss minutes walk through just like Hunter B15 Ren Slayer pitches the room on why they should join her doc doesn't really want to listen to Ren slayer's pitch she's not a huge fan of red at this moment especially Miss minutes but Brad he's all ears and ren slayer's pitch is if you join me and help me restore stability to the TVA I'll let you have any life you want on the timeline and for a guy like Brad who had a pretty damn good life he's going to take her up on that offer but he's the only one the rest of them they're willing to die than work with Ren Slayer and they do Ren Slayer using the device that Mobius used to get the ation of Sylvie from Brad earlier they used that on the group but instead of doing what Loki did stopping right before it kills somebody Ren Slayer and Miss minutes don't stop they slaughter the entire room all the while miss minutes jumping up and down with Glee with a new team of Ren Slayer Brad and Miss minutes they enact part two of their plan getting Victor timely it's actually not that difficult at all because Victor had stepped out to go get some hot chocolate and when he did Brad pruned the hunter that was sent to protect those guys and took Victor timley away they know that Victor has that prototype they just want it but Victor doesn't have it on him so he decides to stall in the meantime Miss minutes decides to hack all of their temp hats so they can't use them when the Loki group figure out that Miss minutes is back and she's hacked the system they jump into action trying to find Victor but he's nowhere to be found and Hunter B15 tells the group that docs and her team are dead Loki knows that they must still be in the building because Ren Slayer doesn't want Victor she wants the TVA now it's just a matter of finding him they all break up into groups looking for Victor looking for Ren Slayer or Miss minutes with Loki and Sylvie going together they try to use the elevator but once Sylvie enters it Miss minutes closes the door locking her inside they are quickly running out of time but as Loki slowly makes his way around the building holding a pruning stick he realizes that he's lived this before because this is the moment where he came back to the TVA and it was utter chaos and he saw Sylvie and sure enough from afar Loki sees his older self I guess go to the phone that's ringing and then look at the elevator as it opens up for Sylvie and when Loki got pruned it was himself who did it they then answer the phone and to Loki's surprise it's OB wondering what the hell's taking them so long Loki explains that it's Mis minute she's still sabotaging everything and he yells for OB to reboot the system which would take Miss minutes offline this works in the judge's room Miss minutes Powers down realizing that somebody was rebooting the system but she couldn't do anything about it right before she shuts off for good she looks at Victor and just says you'll never be him with a real menacing face with the systems booted down it means that they can use Magic and when all the lights go out Brad goes to investigate this allows Loki and Sylvie to use their magic on Brad to get him on their side so when Brad walks back into the room he distracts Ren Slayer allowing Loki to come in grab Victor and then Brad prunes Ren Slayer making sure that she's never going to be a problem again the group quickly gets Victor upstairs to the control room where they use his Aura to open up the blast doors and once the blast doors do open up they realize just how bad it is and how little time they have they need somebody to go outside enact the plan and Victor says you know what I'll do it he knows it's dangerous and he knows he's going to have to be quick but he suits up anyway and heads out unfortunately all that radiation was just too much for Victor he barely gets one foot out the door before he's completely killed off and the entire group realizes they're about to die the loom explodes and the group just just has to watch but for Loki there's a sudden Flash and it just goes dark in episode 5 to his shock Loki opens up his eyes and he's at the TVA although nobody else is there as he walks around he Time Slips and he's at an empty TVA but he sees himself looking at a TVA manual before he can really even say hello he Time Slips back he walks to that room picks up the manual and then he hears himself say hello so he's time slipping a few minutes into the future at this point as he looks through the TVA manual branches of the timeline start to invade the TVA and Loki knows he has to get out of there so he sticks the manual in his pocket and he lucks out because even though he can't control the time slipping he does time slip out of there he Time Slips to a part of the branch timeline 1962 on alcatra island and that's where he meets Casey Casey was a prisoner on Alcatraz and he was planning to escape but when Loki sees him and calls him Casey the guy doesn't know who the hell he is his name's Frank and he's never seen Loki before he doesn't really have a chance to explain further into detail what's going on because he Time Slips again this time to a McDonald's parking lot but before he can even get his bearings straight he Time Slips to a watercraft store and then he quickly Time Slips to a place called The 25 time theater each of those spots he's not there for more than a couple seconds his next time slip is to 2012 New York New York on the branch timeline where he meets a children's doctor but the children's doctor is Hunter B15 a variant he's not able to explain himself to her because he once again Time Slips this time back to that water sports store where there is a very familiar face guy's name's Don and he's finally on a jet ski it's Mobius this time Loki's actually able able to stay a little bit and talk but just like with Frank he doesn't remember him and before loky can explain himself this go shocky he Time Slips again this time to Pasadena California 1994 where he meets a science fiction writer whose day job is a theoretical scientist and it's OB Loki explains the problem that he's finding he has to go back in time to a place that no longer exists but Obie tells him that's going to be next to Impossible he tells him that his best bet is to control his time slipping but the thing is Loki can't control it he tells Loki that this really comes down to science and fiction with science it's all what and how but with Fiction it's why and all of this sounds like fiction so he asked Loki why do you need to do this Loki tells him that if he can't save the TVA from being destroyed then he can't save everybody from what's coming to OB that sounds like a pretty big why so he tells Loki well then try to control it and Loki tries but he fails Obi though has a really good idea he tells him that all of his friends have an aura and since they were in that moment in time that moment in time has an aura so if he gets all of his friends together he should be able to use that aura to go back to that moment in time and hopefully save the TVA the issue is they don't have a temp pad which means that OB would have to invent one from scratch but the good news is Loki has a TVA manual so he hands it over to him he's planning on sitting and just waiting and helping out OB anyway he can but he Time Slips this time to the house of Don AKA Mobius and Don's pretty surprised to see him because he just thought he was a weird customer but Loki starts to explain to him how they actually know each other and how this has to do with time and saving all of this and to Don who's a single father of two this sounds like absolute crazy talk I mean he's ready to call the cops he explains to Don that Mobius is his real name and he comes from a place called The TVA a place he really really cares about Don still isn't buying any of it until all of a sudden a portal opens up and OB walks through Loki makes mention that he can't believe that OB was able to get this done in a couple of minutes but OB says it didn't take me a couple of minutes took me 14 months and oh I lost my wife but hey what now using ob's mock temp pad they're able to show Don Mobius that they need his help and they can drop him back at any point in time so while to Don he would miss his two boys to his boys they'd be none the wiser they could drop him back to the moment where he walked away and if he truly cares about them he'll come and help because without his help then none of it's going to matter it's pretty convincing because as Loki's saying this Don and Loki are watching the conversation they literally just had so don decides to agree the next step is convincing the doctor Hunter B15 which Loki is able to do and then convincing Frank SL Casey who just escaped from alcatra so he's looking to get anywhere but San Francisco the last person he needs to get is Sylvie he goes to the location in the McDonald's parking lot and he starts off by saying this is going to sound crazy because nobody else knew who he was but to Loki's shock Sylvie recognizes him she remembers all of it they decide to go off and have a drink and Loki explains how he found Mobius Casey Hunter B15 and they don't remember anything and Sylvie says yeah they're finally back in their real lives but Loki mentions how they now should have a choice yes before they were kidnapped they didn't have a choice but now well they should they should have a choice on whether or not to help out and while all of them have agreed to do that Sylvie doesn't want to she PR Loki on explaining why he even wants to do this and finally he admits I want my friends back to which Sylvie says there you go we're both selfish Loki heads back to the TVA without Sylvie and he lets everybody know doesn't matter you guys can go back to where he came from but before they can actually do that Sylvie shows up and it's not really by choice she headed to a record store and was kind of just zoning out when the record store was invaded by Branch timelines and completely destroyed so she had to use the temp pad to go somewhere and she figured the TVA was the best spot when she arrives she realizes just how serious the situation is and she tells Loki everything's falling apart the branches are dying and I don't know what it means but there's got to be something we can do and Loki says yeah we can go back and we can stop the Loom from melting down all of us are together we have the coordinates to head back to that moment in time but unfortunately they don't have the temp pad that OB be created cuz it's gone they start questioning the one prisoner in the room but then he disappears just like the branch timelines and then OB disappears and one by one they just start disappearing Loki starts grasping at the final person to disappear who is Sylvie and suddenly he Time Slips back to a few minutes ago when Sylvie had just arrived and he realizes he did it he controlled his time slipping it was never about where when or what it was about who and now that I know that I'm able to go back to that moment I can rewrite the story and sure enough he Time Slips and he's back at the TVA with ob ready to do just that and in the season finale of Loki he shows up the TVA and he watches Victor timely go out immediately he runs up to OB and says what could we have done differently and obi's answer is we had to be quicker so Loki tries that he tries showing up and scurrying Victor timley out the door but still it doesn't work so he goes back farther he goes back to the first time that Victor timley showed up at the TVA and he starts to hurry him through the process but still doesn't matter he goes back to when they ridna Victor timley and he hurries him through the process but it still doesn't matter so Loki goes back even farther to the moment where he introduces OB and Victor timley he reaches a problem though when OB says it's going to take me a bit to reconfigure the Prototype so Loki asks him well how long will it take you to teach me what you know and the answer is centuries so Loki keeps replaying it for centuries until he is an absolute wizard in the Departments of mechanics physics and Engineering when he finally has a good enough graphs to build the multi multiplier he goes back to that moment he scurries Victor timely through the process he builds the multiplier so they're not wasting any more time by the way this is taking Everybody by surprise because they can't figure out how exactly Loki knows all this and the whole time he's just reassuring everybody no no no this will work don't worry this will work but of course they're a little skeptical Loki pushes on putting Victor timley in the suit handing him the multiplier putting Victor timley in the suit handing him the multiplier and even giving him warnings that scene before that ended up causing destruction like the multiplier rolling off the walkway an area of the walkway where he trips things like that as Victor makes his way out they then just take their places waiting to see if it'll work and finally after centuries of trying Loki is able to get it where Victor timley walks down that walkway loads up the multiplier spins the device shoots it off and it works Victor Tim is even able to get back to the TVA unscathed because of this the entire group is celebrating but nobody more so than Loki they all are able to sit back and watch as the loom is starting to get things back in order but that celebration is shortlived when OB and Casey go and look at the readings and something's not right Loki now being an expert in the field also goes to look at those readings and yeah something isn't right because the loom is going back to the way it was and Loki can't f figured out I mean they did everything they were supposed to they scaled this thing but that's when Victor pipes up and says it's not going to matter the loom wasn't built to continuously scale so no matter what you guys do you're always going to run into this problem with Loki realizing that he did everything to save that Loom and it didn't matter the only thing left to do is save he who remains he goes back to the moment where Sylvie was about to kill he who remains and he tries to get her to stop he explains that what she's about to do is going to start a chain reaction that will end everything but of course she doesn't believe him and she says if you want me to stop you're going to have to kill me they start a little bit of a fight of course Loki not really trying to win he doesn't want to hurt Sylvie and in the end Sylvie kills he who remains but Loki replays this over and over again every time trying to get through to Sylvie every time failing and he who remains ends up surviving it gets to the point where Loki turns to he who remains and says why aren't you trying to stop her so he who remains does he is able to pause Time free Sylvie in her track she's not able to move and it allows he who remains and Loki to sit down and actually have a chat it's there that he who remains explains all the time slipping all of that wasn't a glitch it was him he planned all of this he wasn't about to let Sylvie actually kill him no he he set this whole thing up and he's actually really surprised that Loki hasn't been able to figure out how to pause time but they go through the conversation so many times that Loki is finally able to pause time so while he who remains thinks it's the first time they've had this conversation they've actually had this conversation a dozen hundreds thousands millions of times while this is a really nice little trick though Loki does have a Sophie's Choice his options are pretty simple he either kills Sylvie and saves the TVA saves time leaving he who remains at the helm or he lets Sylvie kill he who remains and then we all know how that ends but Loki has another idea what if he were just to destroy the loom but he who remains says you can't do that I mean the loom prevents a brutal War where nothing survives not even the sacred timeline he yes Loki can't you see what I'm offering here is Mercy I'm the guy who has to make those tough decisions every moment of Peace you've ever had it's been because of me Loki however vows to find another way he decides to time slip back to the moment he ended up getting arrested by Mobius and he was interrogated and he asks Mobius how do you choose who lives and who dies Mobius goes into explaining how they prune and how it just keeps the timeline together but Loki asked what Comfort is that and Mobius laughs and says Comfort there's no Comfort comfort in the TVA no no let me tell you a story there was a hunter one time who had pruned plenty and not even thought twice about it but there was one variant who was set to kill thousands I mean thousands of deaths from one variant it seems pretty cut and dry but when the hunter got there the variant was an 8-year-old boy just sitting by a pond minding his own business so the hunter had to pause because they were faced with a tough dilemma and during that pause variant started popping up branches started popping up those variants ended up killing others a couple of hunters ended up dying all because one Hunter paused to think about whether or not she wanted to prune a child a child that would kill thousands now luckily another Hunter stepped in and didn't prune the boy before it could get really out of hand but nobody ever would have died except the boy had that one Hunter just kept the bigger picture in their mind and as it turns out by the way that Hunter ends up being Ren Slayer Loki suddenly has an idea of what he has to do he probably is going to have to kill Sylvie keeping the bigger picture in mind but he wants to get her blessing for it so he goes back to the moment where everybody was disappearing and Sylvie was the last person to do that and he pauses time he explains to her that he's G gone through this process millions of times and the only way that everything survives is if she doesn't kill he who remains she knows that means that Loki would have to kill her but she's not going to give him her pable blessing she tells him that he would just be replacing one nightmare with another and this is a woman who's lived through a bunch of apocalypses and she reminds Loki of that telling him it's okay to break things from time to time he thinks about her words and realizes Maybe she's right maybe they could replace that nightmare with something better so he Time Slips back to the moment where Victor timley opened up the blast doors but instead of letting Victor timely go Loki decides to volunteer this time it takes Mobius and Sylvie completely off guard and they definitely don't want him to go but Loki doesn't give him a choice he locks the door behind him so they can't stop him using his powers he's able to open up the blast door and just walks out and he's not harmed at all all which does make you wonder why he didn't just volunteer in the first place could have saved a lot of time but as he makes his way down the walkway he starts to look like his old self wearing that ridiculous costume he gets close enough where he can use his powers to stretch the loom out and using all his might he destroys it all the while everybody back at the TVA is wondering what is going on because when the loom got destroyed all the branches of time they just floated around dying and nobody knew what that was going to mean for everybody even Loki didn't know what exactly it was going to mean and he was surprised to see all these branches just floating around dead but when he touched them it kind of reinvigorated them a little bit brought them back to life so he started grabbing them and then he started walking through Time One Foot In Front of the other all the while grabbing different branches that he could bring with them he walked and walked until finally he got to the end of time he got to the throne that he who remains used to sit in and he was able to sit down connecting all of the branches and not building a loom this time but starting a tree of time this works the TVA is saved Loki sits at the End of Time controlling it all and keeping it all together as for the TVA it seems like a much happier place they've even brought back Miss minutes and though Obie doesn't know if she'll try to kill anybody he's hopeful that she won't instead of having three judges in charge of everything they've really opened it up to allowing a free Discord for anybody to voice their opinions it's something that Hunter B15 really really enjoys before she heads into that meeting she does ask Mobius if any of he who remains his Varian have popped up on the timeline and there have been a few but for the most part they're keeping it under check none of of them have any idea about the TVA one of those variants by the way is a young Victor timley that didn't have the TVA manual dropped into his window so he just goes about living his life we think this however will likely be the last report that Mobius gives to Hunter B15 because he tells her I'm leaving I don't think anyone's really going to miss an old analyst here but I just have to find out she's pretty broken up about it but does let him know if you ever want a seat in there it's yours Mobius is always going to be welcome back to the TVA and then she heads in Mobius heads off to go see that life that he could have had and from a distance he watches Don play with his two boys thinking about what could have been he's not alone though Sylvia is with him Sylvie just stopped by to make sure he's okay and Say Goodbye he does ask her where you going to go and the truth is she has no idea she's just going to kind of wander about as for Mobius he's content with standing there a little bit longer and just letting time go by now as for a couple other members of the TVA you've got OB who wrote his second edition ever of the TVA handbook he's very excited about it and then finally there's somebody that we thought was gone and that's Ren Slayer yeah she got pruned but she wakes up in a field with a pyramid off in the distance and then she sees something horrifying it doesn't seem like it's Goliath because the light around her isn't green no the light around her is
