LIVING on KOREAN CONVENIENCE STORES for 24 HOURS! 🇰🇷 (한국어 자막)

Today we're going to be eating Convenience Store food for 24 hours there is a massive convenience store culture here in Korea where you can literally have breakfast lunch dinner they have microwaves and hot drinks dispensers inside of the convenience stores and usually there's seating inside or outside so let's go experience the convenience stores here in South Korea so we have come to this special GS25 just over here it looks like a hanok house so cute yeah so nice they got some outdoor seating as you see here so you got your ramens got some drinks over here this is not a bad one okay there you go you got a microwave and the hot drink dispenser so usually for breakfast I go for kimab and this is the last one here so I think I have no choice but this vegetables it's fine yeah this is nice K is definitely a Kimbap Lover and for me I'm going for the spicy stir Fried pork Kimbap this is going to be good now we need some drinks as well and uh Karolina really loves this special drink that they I think they already have here in Korea but uh seems like yeah it's over towards here so so basically this is like kind of like coffee sachet and uh everyone is actually walking with this one so I think that I might go for this one but I could have seen that there's some cute ones yeah maybe not so much in this one yeah maybe later on we'll find the cute ones okay that's the that's iced hazut that one Iced Hazelnut coffee or Sweet Americano I think I should go for this one okay and then we actually have the cups of ice over here but you need a big one I think this is a smaller one you think so yeah okay so maybe still get like a big cup of ice I think it should be fine yeah these cups of ice so you mix in together all right so oh let's close down make sure we don't lose any uh cold air in there and uh for me I'm thinking like a hot drink so I'm thinking over here look Karolina just over here oh yeah so we have like there's one with walnuts yeah maybe it's this one no it's not that one there we go we found it it's the kind of like Mixed Nut hot drink so that's good yeah all right so I think we need to pay for this stuff is there anything else we need I no I think okay well we we've got lunch and dinner so there's going to be a lot more stuff we're going to be having as well but you got some nice seating just over here as well I've also decided to go for some rice porridge so we are just paying for breakfast that's the cost 4,300 okay come some me down all right so it's actually so nice because we can warm this app warm inside of this microwave so that's there we go just put it here and I think that I would open your this is the porridge all right I love porridge in the morning and while we're warming up our food we're going to get this hot drink going so they have these kind of sachet here so you just so easy yeah really easy to rip that up all right just put the powder in here and we have these kind of cute little straws to go with it and this is just a for the hot water yeah seea there this is the Nutty tea okay so it's time for Carolina's iced americos this the sweet one yeah so this is the uh one we've gone for just over here yeah usually I go for the just black coffee but I could have seen everyone drinking sweet Americano here yeah so she's got the ice here and I think you just it's so like yeah as easy as that never seen this before anywhere else this is so cool yeah it looks like you it's looks like a Coke you know yeah a soft drink but actually it's really good and look it's a perfect amount at the frothing on the top there perfect so I've got my rice porridge I still need to add some of these kind of sauces over here got my hot drink now with the uh kimbab this one's the uh the stir fried spicy pork one I don't know if you're supposed to have them warm or cold I like them cold I don't know if that's normal if I'm not supposed to be doing that but let me know in the comments and then karolina has got her kimbop yeah she literally has this every day sometimes I have it cold sometimes warm but if I have an opportunity warm is better all right guys so I have my rice porridge just over here I think really need to mix this in well we've got some kind of sauces I uh I have no idea to be honest what this is oh it looks like I think it's like seaweed I think could be let's open this up oh I don't know what this is to be honest it's got like some kind of seed mixed with I don't know say it's like a seaweed mixed in with some kind of Sesame yeah and then you have like a kind of like a sauce cure as well got some kind of like oil to put into there oh that looks pretty good actually all right let's show that to the camera that's what it looks like right now Karina is opening up a kimbop yeah and uh there's always kind of Cutlery on hand when you're buying convenient store Foods so handy it's really handy yeah and that's how it's possible to have breakfast lunch and dinner really easily here you've got cooking uh kind of facilities inside and you've got always things on hand and I can looks pretty good MH think I need to really mix this in well all right let's mix this in I think like rice porridge or like Isaac toast is like the typical breakfast I could be wrong but Koreans don't really uh breakfast is not really a big thing in uh Korea so uh we were just wondering what to eat but a lot of the times we just find ourselves going to convenience stores and some from time to time we go to like Isaac toast or egg drop let us know in the comments which one you prefer because I think I'm leaning towards Egra but you're leaning towards more Isaac toast or is ISAC toast ISAC yeah that's the the way the Korean say it but uh let's give us a go it's piping hot there from the microwave hope it's not going to burn my mouth M oh yeah so my GoPro got overheated um so I'm going have to go through this again but this tastes really good with the Sesame and the oil it tastes like a very strong Taste of Sesame and you got little pieces of beef in there with the rice it's a really good breakfast especially on the it's October time but it's coming towards the end of October so it's getting a lot cooler so I think rice porridge is a really good option kind of warms the the soul and I love the Kim up in every form always looks pretty and always tastes good there's always like a crabstick like a fake crabstick and some vegetables and then we've got our drinks here have you tried the drink yet is it quite sweet can I give it a go mhm so sorry there's a bit of construction in the background like filming these videos sometimes guys is like one problem after the other we this is like the third time we're trying to film this because filming convenience store uh videos for some reason are super hard but let's uh give this a go you really need to think of all of the factors contributing I'm not a coffee lover but usually because coffee is really bitter but this coffee is uh it doesn't feel too bitter cuz it's quite sweet let me give it a go mhm M it's nice it's very refreshing it's actually not um that sweet that's why I like it mhm it has a very deep taste like it kind of like a caramel yeah it's like caramel yeah a really good way to explain it it also is very portable you can just walk with it wherever yeah we we love the convenience of the convenience store food all right what I really like is this hot drink here it's very nutty I think it's like mixed nuts in here and actually at the bottom when you drink it uh it has like the remains of nuts so you're kind of having this kind of sweet tea kind of infused into the kind of leftover nuts but uh let's give this a go oh yeah nutty sweetness oh you will miss it yeah this is I'm going to miss this one but they you can actually buy like boxes of the S sachet so it's kind of works out cheaper than this and I went through that in like a few days so one thing that is really good here in South Korea is the recycling so you have your Plastics you got your glass bottles cans waist just outside of this beautiful gs25 so uh Carina I think we need to I think this is all plastic but I think we've eaten this one so maybe it's no no it's plastic I think that's plastic though I think that's plastic yeah let's put that in there and this is guess there's no paper yeah so where would I think we'll put it in the waist yeah it is lunchtime guys so I think it's time to try our first lunch box which is called Doss Doss so we have come to this uh 7-Eleven just over here and uh let's see if they have a lunch box because sometimes it's kind of difficult to find like the lunch box and a s all right so again you've got like the food preparation area here but I not sure if they have uh the lunch box let see that a fresh section ah oh here we go we got the lunch boxes here all right guys so we have decided to go for this lunch box over here looks like it's some kind of bull Gabby there and then we've got uh this lunch box here more we do like sausage there so much food in here so uh let's put that over there I've got Carolina Bank of England helping me out with a uh helping hand and now I'm looking for my favorite here we go banana milk yes I can't wait to have banana milk and uh karolina you're wanting a drink I think I've fine actually are you sure yeah okay guys it is time to buy our dosak right there we go one two 1 two three yes okay it is 11,600 I think we need to get one of these straws as well M maybe this one here you all right so we are now fully equipped with our lunch it is a beautiful day here in G on Jew we are uh we've spent a few days here and it's been very nice but uh the lady in there was super nice super friendly like sometimes we go into convenience stores and people can be like like quite uh funny yeah like sometimes they just don't even speak to you they won't even they won't even say hello but uh shy uh yeah sometimes they maybe it's because of uh speaking English but we try to kind of have basic Korean um but the the lady in there was super nice it was just nice to see that all right guys so we are at hotel hang you can see just over here this place is awesome the owners are super friendly Young and the lady speaks really good English and the husband is just super nice and helpful um so they've said we can film in here hang guest house should see first thing I need to do is probably lower the yes look at that this is the inside I actually really love this place it's so artistic let's lower the music just slightly sometimes I don't know if we're going to get like a copyright issue but I think uh near the window Carolina it's going to be good so uh yeah definitely check out this um it's like a hostel but it's a really good one and you have like private rooms really good you have breakfast here and we're not getting paid to say this they just been super nice to us and they watch our video so hello all right guys so we have taken the plastic kind of film and the lid off this so we're going to pop it into this microwave and I think we put it in for like 2 minutes we'll have to do one at a time but uh microwaves you can't live without a microwave here in Korea but one a minute this is one there we go without Carolina's help I would be struggling maybe here okay there we go it's time to dig into our dosirak lunch box just over here actually I'm going to put it down that's why I've kind of made this angle let me know if you like this angle but uh I think we're going to get first of all some of this uh I think it's going to be pork some kind of spicy pork M oh that's good that's really good a little bit sweet it's actually not spicy at all it's actually more sweet actually got a little kick of uh chili there and then uh let's try this one out as well we got some more meat here M I think it's all pork just trying that the quality of these lunch boxes seem really good like sometimes I would think to myself a lunch box it's kind of be it's going to be like a bit processed but it looks like the ingredients here are really fresh okay now I don't really eat this a lot uh do you have spam like in Poland no no I don't actually don't I don't really see it much in England but I think you can buy it H just tastes very Porky I actually really like that now I think we got to combine maybe some of the uh some of the flavors here I think this is is this kimchi Carina do you think I think so looks like it oh Kim Tre so warm this up for 2 minutes it's nice served warm you can actually just warm it up in the convenience store and actually looks like we have an egg here as well which sometimes uh I can mistake it for being tofu but this is for short egg because of the color MH everything here tastes so delicious now I'm going to try one of these tempuras now this is something I was not sure about because tempura I like kind of crispy and this looks like it's got some vegetables in it I hope it's not Seafood cuz I'm not a big Seafood lover what's that one no idea it looks like maybe a little bit something in seaweed I think it's like mostly vegetables and like maybe some seaweed that gives it a bit of umami flavor but I don't mind that whatsoever and um I think we got to combine try this one what is this what is this I it looks like a small sausage to me looks like a kidney to me some kind of some kind of like organ or something huh sausage it looks like a sausage I think I think is this a vegetable it's a sausage I think that all of these things are just your favorites it's crazy I could eat this every day no lie really good pork really good flavors and actually we have some uh rice here which you can combine everything with oh that's good okay let's take a look at Carolina Carolina's lunchbox Doak let's put the chopsticks down just like this so it's we we're being respectful here just like actually I really love the meat it's like kind of minced Pork and Beef which is a little bit sweet I think I translated on Google translate it's like a beef burger you want to give it a little bite but to be honest I have no idea how should I eat it just like that I think it's like a Korean beef burger and uh it looks like you've got actually some like kind of potato some potatoes here yeah this is kind of like I don't know it's not Piet but it's like a cabbage in some sauce with some also meat and here is the sausage and this I think this again kimchi right kimchi and some greens and here's I think that the it's fried it's like oh that actually looks really good it looks like the Korean Fried Chicken which is in a kind of a sauce I thought it would have been like a yeah a tree the chicken H I thought it might have been like a temper vegetable or something H I think it's definitely meat maybe it's chicken but there's not so much meat more of the co it taste Porky or chickeny chickeny chicken okay so is like fried chicken yeah with like sweet sauce but what I really like about this dish is that you have actually like small bunchan like yeah it's like having bunchan but like for a lunch box yeah amazing like if I would be living here I would be having it very frequently I think out of 10 what would you give it a I would say nine out of 10 okay I'm going to give mine this beautiful lunchbox I think I'm going to give it I'm going to give it a nine like usually I'm more like critical but I actually enjoying everything on this plate so dos dos I don't know is just trying to I just wanted to say that actually I got also the seaweed which is really good okay cool and dosy I love it it's really good Macho I'm my Korean pronunciation is is not the best but forgive me I needed some banana milk in my life so let's stb this in oh there we go left-handed because I'm using the right hand to you can hear the the water stream that's because they're I think they're cleaning a lot of the rooms right now but uh this is good lighting here let's try this out mhm I'm going to miss uh banana milk when I leave Korea you literally had it pretty much every day here I've been kind of going easy on it the past couple of days because it is quite sweet and I don't know if it's quite fattening but it tastes good oh yeah that's nice all right guys it is dinner time and we have arrived in deu because we are unfortunately flying out of South Korea today but check out the view here you've got these South Korean Flags just here all along the bridge just like that and you can see the view on the uh the river there beautifully and we are surrounded by the mountains again yeah the mountains in the in the background so uh we have eaten at gs25 we've eaten at 7 11 is now time to eat at CU so we'll see you in CU that's so cheesy all right guys we have made it to CU you so uh let's head on inside there's so many cobwebs on this one here but uh let's walk on inside okay SE all right so we're thinking maybe Ramen yeah we oh my God there's so much Ramen here wow and what else are we looking I'm thinking I think Ramen like ramen's a good dinner choice and we're going to have a special snack that I know that Koreans love and have Lov for a long time so as far as I know these ones like these Browns like samang and this one I don't know how to pronounce it these ones are the most uh popular ones yeah mhm uh okay and I did try this one already so maybe it's time for try a different kind of one this one I saw it a lot on the internet that one looks like a maybe a spicy one spicy one but I think that's going to be good so karolina has informed me that this is a very popular one to have in Korea so going to be having this one and uh do we want to you want a drink Carolina yeah maybe just can have some drink I've had my uh banana milk so I think I'm all banana milked out I actually got a free Coke can from ganu we went to a bean sprout uh soup uh and rice restaurant and he just the stuff there just gave me a free Coke so I'll take it out so I was always looking at these type of drinks like I have no idea I think it's kind of like green tea let's grab maybe this one it's like zero so it's going to be probably zero sugar but they love the pinkish yeah it's very pinky packaging all right so we have got our ramen we need to pay for this and then we're going to be actually cooking it just over here I think but J we forgot about the dessert oh yeah yeah actually that is true we need to have the special dessert where is it oh over here I think it's over here Carolina you see it already oh yeah it's there look all right we got some honey butter chips these are really popular all right K you want to grab that one and I think we will uh pay with our tea money cards cuz we have a bit of uh change left on the card do you have your T money card yes oh she's uh eyeing up the the sweets yes well this is not normal for Carolina she's not usually eating snacks but I guess this is like a farewell to Korea yes got to get a good Korean snack then yeah so Carolina wanted a protein bar but they're not selling them here but we've got two plus one on these so that means you can get three of these so we've got a honey butter almond and honey oh sorry a Wasabi almond okay one more all right let's get the caramel stage pretzel all right I think we're good we're going to be paying with our uh t- money cards because we have some leftover and we want to use up the cash I know you can probably get a refund on it but do you have the t- money card yes okay that all right so have I got my t- money card okay I've got my t- money card just here and so I'm going to be paying for all right so it's 5,300 come there so we have our goodies just here and uh car has already paid with the team money card and actually there you go setting you got the river just here it's really nice here in deu I wasn't expecting that to be honest all right we have got ramen and honey butter chips to eat so we are ready to dig in we have got all of these beautiful convenience store food just here Carol soy I love this moment Carolina has been pushing for this uh video to be filmed and it's not been an easy video to film but I'm going to pop you guys over there and uh I wanted to show you the inside of this but uh you can actually see there's uh oh God I'm spilling the condensation water but that's actually got some meat and vegetables in there and that was must have been from the powder mm it's amazing all right I'm going to take off this lid it smells amazing guys smells amazing this is our last food here in uh Korea this is kind of uh yeah nostalgic but uh we got the noodles here I'm I'm trying not to burn my mouth to be honest but oh God it's really hot I was literally blowing on these ramen noodles for ages but now they're at a good temperature so let's try this out super tasty when you say come to Korea and have it the noodles the ramen noodles in the convenience stores they are really flavorful and they're really good qu qu it noodles some countries we've been to the ramen noodles they just don't compare but um got a bit of a kick to it it's got a kind of meaty flavor to it I think it's is it beef do you think it's beef or maybe pork I don't beef beef or pork but uh it's delicious I'll show you what karolina's eating yours is a bit spicier right M it's actually hot hot but it looks like this hot or spicy spicy yeah spicy but it's it's perfect like to be honest I love like this I love noodles like this and actually it has a definitely kick to it but for the evening is just perfect and actually it's uh getting towards the end of October as we're filming this so it's a little bit getting bit chillier I'm still ining t-shirt and shorts but most of the Koreans are actually wearing a lot of jumpers and coats so these ramen noodles are pretty spicy you can see karolina's lips are super red I'm going to grab this coke which I got free from Janu really nice and karolina's got her zero tea I don't know is it a tea I think so all right give give that a wh very fruity quite sweet as well if even if it's zero but I like it it's zero sugar but it's sweet yeah you're saying that I got to try this out I got to try this it's very different from the drinks that we have back in Europe oh that's nice that's nice right it's not super sweet it's like um flavored water yeah I would say flavored green tea I wouldn't say it's sugary I would say it's just sweet from the flavorings and I've got the classic Coke or Coca Cola because I think some people say Coca-Cola but I say Coke can't go wrong with Coke and also I'm drinking this because on the uh when we get to the airport I won't be able to take this through security all right guys we have arrived at deu International Airport this is where we will be trying our snacks that we haven't actually eaten from CU so we need to check into our flight so we're inside of the airport as you can see just behind me we are waiting to actually check in you can't check in till like 2 hours before your flight and we came 4 hours early so now it's around uh 8: almost and we have our honey butter chips these are very uh famous because they've got a lot of history here and actually these snacks are actually linked so these snacks here buff buff and these ones are honey butter almond did you know that I think this company made these or maybe this one got inspired by this no uh so what happened was is that they actually started this and it basically flew off the shelves people were buying it like crazy they build the business up and I think they then started to get into these almond uh snacks I think that's the history I read because I was looking into what snacks to have all right do you want to do the honors and open up the honey honey butter chips the honors do the honors maybe just like uh this really where's your muscles okay so Caroline has finally opened the chips it actually smells buttery smells what battery buttery yeah okay so have a go this is first time having a honey chip what do you think it's a little bit sweeter than the other ones but I can literally taste the honey and butter it's very sweet very soft like in the texture very distinctive usually like chips we call them crisps in the UK but the chips are like usually more like kind of salty or cheesy or they have a flavor these are actually like a more like a dessert it's more like a sweet snack very nice out of 10 since I'm not the bigger the biggest like crisp lover I would give it as a snack like eight but it's very good for me it's a nine these are addictive I could eat this whole bag M now it's time to try the sister snack I think we should go for these ones so we got the caramel salted uh almond pretzel Wasabi almond and these are the classic ones yeah I think we should go for Wasabi almond okay maybe because we tried the honey one so like honey and honey I think is a bit too Overkill let's try the Wasabi ones all right your turn all right let's have a little sneak in here so this is the Wasabi elmond wow M it's not spicy it's just got the flavor of the Wasabi very nice how do you pronounce it wasabi sorry Wasabi it's a very strong Wasabi flavor that comes through but then it turns sweet and there's actually another snack which is you know what's funny these snacks here they both have the same type of sweetness y right it's not like sugar but it's like butter sugar did you try it yeah oh you good I did why would you give it that out of 10 I love nuts so I would give it uh nine because my favorite ones are more with like chocolate or like honey mhm I'm going to give it an eight anyways guys our flight we got to check in now we've got our bags over here we really appreciate everyone who's Come Along on this
