you [Music] alright ladies and gentlemen we are ready to begin our presentation my name is Donna Vandenberg I'm one of the vice principals here at JC era I'd like to welcome everybody this morning I'm so thrilled to see everybody here our parents and grandparents and guests and we have students here from st. Edwards from Sara Catholic or Lady of fátima so thank you for being with us we're excited to have you all here today before I introduce Nick I just I just have to tell you a little story about what it took to get Nick here I was visiting with his vice president of programming this morning and we were talking about how difficult it was to finally get Nick here I had gone online several times and tried to fill out the form to get him to come here to speak and it kept saying ah he's not speaking right now check back later so I would check back later and I didn't know how to get through to him so it really is who you know I was lamenting that I couldn't get Nick to some people in my department and it turned out that one of our counselors mrs. Julia Park has a relationship with a young lady named Bernadette and Bernadette is friends with Nick's vice president of programming and when I talked to W about this this morning he said yeah we pretty much say no until we're ready to say yes so they get literally thousands and thousands and thousands of speaking requests every year so this is such a privilege for us to have Nick here I I can't even tell you how nervous and excited I am to begin this presentation so before we get started we will begin as we do with all things that J ceará in prayer and I'm gonna ask father Damien to come up and offer a prayer in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit amen loving father we gather here in Thanksgiving for your countless blessings please continue to show your Grace's upon us during this Lenten season so that we will give you glory in all of our thoughts words and actions so through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary sing to inappro-- Sara st. Peter the great apostle whose feast today we honor today may Almighty God bless all of us here presence the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit amen all right without further ado I'd like to introduce Nick voyage [Applause] know that we are not alone and we need each other we need to uplift this message of hope around the world to know that we are one the but if Christ is one and together we can hold each other we can uplift each other we can support each other we can encourage each other [Music] [Applause] sera jey Catholic High School here Orange County it is wonderful to be here today can you turn my volume down a little bit please it is wonderful to be here I want to thank you very much for your welcome and your hospitality in fact this livestream is being watched right now by 22 schools in Southern California all Christian schools those who believe in Jesus we want to welcome them can we welcome them please welcome we love you thank you for watching I am very very blessed to be able to go around the world does that video has shared and I'm very very blessed to be able to just share about what God has done for me in my life not to just talk about my story but to really talk about how God can take broken pieces and do something beautiful in our life and I want you to know that I'm not someone to say that everything's okay and just be positive right because we all go through ups and downs right you see my foot ups and downs ups and downs ups and downs and for me in my life there were many times where I would question about the bigger questions of life and you know you come to school and you know that's that group and that's this group and you know they're known for that and then this group doesn't speak to that group because that person did something to that person this person didn't like it like I didn't even talk to them but I don't even know why I don't talk to them and then you said girlfriends and boyfriends holding hands and you're like I won the cup and you know those guys that are the cooler ones you know they're like holding their girlfriend's hands down the hallways of the school yeah she might girl she's hot you're not you know you touch her I kill you you know like we act tough and we say stuff that we normally wouldn't say just to kind of fit in and I'm gonna talk about truth everyone say truth three times that are truth I want you to know that truth is something that is second to none the truth of who you are the truth of your value the truth your purpose and the truth that God's so much more than sometimes what we think he is religion and ritual and a way of life and I just want to be real with you everyone say real cool cool I first of all want to open up with a beautiful couple of photos by the grace of God last week me and my wife we celebrated our 60th anniversary we have some family photos thank you very much [Music] go for it on the photos so if we can put them up on screen that'll be wonderful please so me and my wife her name is Connie air she's half Japanese half Mexican we call that second and we met it was love at first sight and I couldn't feel my legs and and then we have a Kyoshi on the left he was he's now fifth yeah he just has 5th birthday and then on the right day on his two and a half years old and right now we're still celebrating the arrival of these girls twins Olivia and Ali identical girls and really awesome she's amazing my wife is a rock star she's she's tirelessly obviously losing sleep during the night we have help of course but I got the easy end of the deal and she was rocking these babies and she's like half asleep she says babe I'm like yeah she's like you know what I'm like what she said maybe we can do foster babies one day too and I'm like wow it's like wow who are you like she's amazing um I couldn't rock a baby to sleep and the fact that she has such a big heart I'm all for fostering all for adopting but I just want you to know that today that dream of having a family for me was impossible I thought to myself when I went to school man I'm like man I'm never gonna get married I can't even hold my wife's hand and I realized today I don't need hands to hold my wife's hand I just need to be the husband to hold her heart and I want you to know that sometimes we feel like we need to be something we need to have something we need to make sure that everybody kind of thinks that I'm okay I want to tell you the truth again about life and truth and hope and I know you keep on turning me up because you think I'm soft but I haven't even started I'm so sorry keep me down thank you so much I want you to know that today then no matter who you are you have a choice everyone say a choice I want you to know that in some of our lives we believe that we have encourages and discourages in our life you know the people that you you know that as soon as you say hello to them they kind of pick you up or they encourage you or they smile at you and then you kind of have those other people in your life well no matter how good of it there you have they're just gonna say something to go like that and I want you to know though in in life that there is the realm of spiritual beings and presence when we understand Bible and we know that there is God in heaven then we also must understand the reality that if there is heaven then there is hell if there are angels then the Redeem ins and I want you to know in my life that I am NOT an atheist because I've seen demons ten-foot tall walking through a hotel room one day and I tell you I know that science can't explain everything because then it absolutely disengages any belief in the power of witchcraft and voodoo and the spiritual realm I want you to know is real and I want you to know that that war in your mind is real I'm not saying that anyone's possessed or anything I'm telling you that the fight of your soul is real the fight in this world is real and there are things in our life that sometimes we really need to understand what are we who are we and sometimes in your life we might be the worst discourages that we ever come across I can come up to you and say oh you're ugly and he only takes two seconds for me to tell you that but then when you walk away you repeat it oh you ain't getting cailli or I can tell you're beautiful you're beautiful you're beautiful you're beautiful you're beautiful you're beautiful you're beautiful and then someone says oh you're ugly and he takes it away who are you what do you want in this life and I want you to know that you're beautiful just the way that you are some of us look ourselves in the mirror and say oh I wish I was taller I wish I was shorter I wish I was loved and I had a boyfriend some kids they look at me and they're like what happened and I go up to them and I say cigarettes [Applause] sometimes things aren't as you see and expect and you know that human came along with me as I was growing up and going through my teenage years I would learn how to do cool things you know like you know I'm a little foot I love them a little foot I've got two toes peace how you doing and after two cups of coffee I can actually text fifty three words a minute and it's been an incredible journey just to you know be able to do many things but but really the the fun projects and fun moments that we've had was freaking people out I love freaking people out I don't know if you've seen that YouTube have anyone seen a youtube video of me ever once you guys all seen YouTube cool there is one of them that has maybe 350,000 views on it I actually dressed myself as the pilot and greet the passengers as they get on the plane you know how how Donna you just said it's all about who you know well I knew the pilot and he's like hey man let's freak everyone out handcuffed or anything right like it could be a security threat right about what am I gonna do anyway but seriously so we dressed up right and 6:00 a.m. in the flight Dallas Texas and the people a half asleep you know 6 a.m. in the morning and they're not talking to each other and they're walking up to the door of the plane and then they see me they're like wow and I'm like good morning Mike my name is Captain Egg voyage welcome aboard we're so excited that you're with us because we're trying some new technology in there like there are you flying the plane [Music] so some people believe me and they're like freaking out and all the parents like did you know about this no I didn't know about this and all the kids are like oh man I'm gonna put this on Instagram I get on the plane cuz everyone's boarded and I get the microphone si good morning ladies and gentlemen thank you so much for boarding so fast and they're like oh my gosh get me off the plane I told him I was joking the parents were relieved and the children were disappointed can I tell you one more funny story it's the coolest when I was in the car I'm in the front seat of the camera at the traffic lights and obviously I'm not driving but I met the I'm at the lights and just sitting and this car comes up next to us in this girl's lookin at me so I'm looking at her she's looking at me I'm looking at her and all she sees is my head from the side so just imagine all you see is my head I just did this [Applause] and her face was like was so good for me my life hope is one of the most powerful words hope you know when you go out to the world and they say well if you're a good person and you get a good job and you do good things then you've lived a good life but is that it or is there more when we are looking for that more we sometimes get distracted with stuff that we see our friends see we talk about and we don't talk about we look at the world we look at all the other schools around here we got money drugs sex alcohol pornography fame and fortune if you put your happiness in temporary things your happiness will be temporary and it's like you kind of know that you you you want some things that sometimes you get and as soon as you get what you wanted then either you want more or you want the next thing it's just how it is it's so sad so what is it that we should be looking for and what is the truth of our existence here for me when I was bullied at school it was hard to believe that I was gonna survive I'm not here today to make you feel sorry for me I actually believe that if any of you have a verbally abusive father or mother in your home I think that's worse than having no arms and legs you would give up your arm to never have your dad yell at your mum or vice versa some of you never had a father I think that's worse than having no arms and legs it's got nothing to do with my story you understand because you don't know what beautiful things can come from your broken pieces until you give your broken pieces a chance and I want you to know that I may have no arms on magazine sure it's difficult but I want you to know that we all experience loneliness and helplessness and never in a million years that I ever believed that I'd be able to meet presidents speaker governments and ever talk about hope I want you to know today that sometimes you feel like you get what you want but then you never feel satisfied for me when I went to school I was bullied and I was always taught by my mum and dad always remember the poor people make sure that you always give back make sure that we pray for those who don't have what we have but for me I just wanted hope first I wanted to make a difference in the world but I needed the difference to happen first in me and when I was 8 years old I went through depression I actually attempted suicide at age 10 and I felt like I don't have anything to live for and for me in my life now looking at my family I am so glad that by the grace of God we have life today that we can have hope today that we may not understand all the answers of the unanswered questions that we have but we do have scriptures and the Bible I respect my Catholic brother who pray to the different Saints and Mary I don't pray to the different Saints in Mary but the amazing thing about what we all are doing here today is understanding that God loves us and God has a plan for us and God is real and he wants to get real in us that when we feel that we are down we have hope and not as the world where it says well just be positive no we can say all things come together for the good for those who love Him who've been called according to his purpose Jeremiah 29 11 for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and the future and I want you to know that it's very easy to complain about the things that we may not understand all the things that we may not have but first of all let's come back to the basics are you a thankful person are you a generous person a good person do you want to make a difference in the world put your hand up if you literally one day want to make a difference in the world put your hand up let me see cool awesome put your hand down I want you to know this ready this is the coolest line if God can use the man without arms and legs to be his hands and feet then God can use any willing heart amen and I want you to know that you're beautiful my sister I love you so so much you're beautiful just the way that you are for as long as you're looking for a boyfriend you're gonna find a boyfriend my twin girls they ain't gonna look for a boyfriend they're gonna look for a husband because the moment that you're only looking for a boyfriend is when your emotions go a little bit wild and you get a little bit intimate and you cross the line and it create crazy inner inner in a really quick manner your brain switches this gear to say well I don't mind giving him what he wants when he wants it because we love each other sex is not love love is a lifelong commitment I wasn't looking for a girlfriend I was looking for the mother of my children the one who's going to stand by me for the rest of time that even when I lose all my money in a personal crisis in 2011 she says I'm not going anywhere I'll get a nursing job and support the both of us I want you to know that just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do that let's get drunk Yolo I was gonna go to school and then I get high do you know that song you know that song it's still around good you guys know that's up right but the questions of life who are you I you're a good person are you thankful everyone say I'm thankful ready here's the greatest way to know if you thankful ready everyone sit up straight and you see including the people watching on camera ready take a breath in and out just good exercise to know if you're a thankful person ready when was the last time you told your friends thank you for being my friend when I see some hugs I see some hogs I see some teachers need some heart ready 5 4 3 2 1 my dad passed away of cancer about nine months ago and he was 62 for me 35 years old 62 is a good inning someone at 70 says he died at young I want you to know that life and death is real we understand that but make your moment count what is it what is it that you could do in your life that you look back and say you know what now I see the purpose of my life I want you to know that when you're at this edge and you hear those voices saying you're ugly you're ugly you're ugly you're ugly just give up just give up it's not just voices in your hand you've got to understand the truth you can only fight the lies with the truth I'm ugly no I am fearfully and wonderfully made you can't do this yes you can I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me according to Philippians 4:13 I'm wonderfully if God's forgot sin you have you ever heard that God's forgotten you no he hasn't he has more precious thoughts of you than all the grains of sand in the world you were so beautiful you boys you're the man I love you you're my brother peace I didn't care how you look I didn't care how many friends you have God can use anyone and he can heal us all the day I gave my life to Jesus Christ was at age 15 when in John chapter 9 a man was born blind and no one knew why he was born that way and Jesus said it was done so that the works of God would be revealed through him do you know what I loved about that listen this is how it's relevant for you sometimes we're waiting on God to do something and show us what his plan is before we really trust him do you know what that kind of could illustrate to almost an exact illustration of my house being on fire and I know my house is on fire and I'm in the house and I've got a jug of water trying to put out the fire I look out the window there's the fire truck and the whole team to put the fire out but they waiting for me to leave the house and I come out and I say hey guys how you doing they're gonna look at me like I'm a crazy man I said well what's your plan what are you gonna do tell me how you're gonna put the fire out and then I'll trust you but until you tell me how you're gonna do it I'm gonna go in and keep the fire out I'm gonna do my best some of us were just trying to do our best keep up appearances some of our homes are so broken and the contractor comes up to our door for free and says hi I want to help you I want to heal you I want to fix your house for free and what do you do you cross your arms like this so how you gonna do it what you're gonna do are you serious no Jesus didn't sit the blind man down and say hey mr. blind man my name is JC and I'm the healer and I'm about to give you a facial I'm gonna put some mud on your face and when we are done Jochen is see he didn't say that but he put mud on his face and the blind man saw a miracles real today you betcha you betcha I've seen 13 miracles with my own eyes blind people seeing deaf people hearing and even Californian doctors saying Nick we have to say it's a miracle because you had a syrinx in your own back diagnosed in 2002 when you were still in Australia you had I had MRI scan I have a degenerative disease called the syrinx that's what the doctor said by age 35 or 45 I am NOT going to have a spine I'm gonna have metal rods to replace my spine and then be in bed for the rest of my life 10 years later we did an MRI scan because I had pinching of the nerves and I couldn't feel my hands and so I went to get up a checkup she got it and I went to get a checkup and now there were not only three holes there were two holes two years later not two holes there was one hole ten months later not one hole there were no holes and they say it's medically absolutely unexplainable I want you to know that God is ready to move but through his people you and me and yes the Holy Spirit roams around the earth but we are the hands and feet and I want to tell you he loves you no matter what despite your pornographic addiction he still loves you despite the intense conversations you've had with God he still loves you if my boy comes up to me and he spits on my face guess what he's still my boy I love you because you're my brother and there is a fight and it's not amongst each other it is that we stand in front of the gates of hell and redirect traffic and I want you to know that that's the purpose that we can be on earth good feed the poor that's great the Catholic Church is the most generous Church this world has ever seen you put Protestant churches to shame you go on your knees more than the Protestants but it's all about the knees and it's not about the needs it's about the heart all of us to understand to see that the world is not becoming better until we actually come together and to believe and to pray and to love you want to make a difference in this school do you know how many schools I've been to over 900 face-to-face you know how many people have spoken to over TV and Internet just put those two things together motivationally 1.2 billion people 670 million people have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ I meet with presidents it's unbelievable Who am I to shake a hand of a president while you're just different no I'm not I'm just like you and all I said is here I am I want to make a difference today who are you I don't care about your career I didn't care about money I didn't care about who knows you were you kind were you generous were you forgiving or were you bitter who you who's Jesus to you I don't count myself a professional against bullying but I want to do something that I have done without seeing anyone doing this beforehand and I want to really get to know you for a second I'm gonna need your trust as I do an anonymous survey from up the front the cameras are only on me we are not cutting to the crowd so this will remain anonymous all photographers just stand where you are or go to the back of the room there's no back of the room in this is there but I just want to help you understand that you can make a difference in this world listen don't switch off when you make a difference in America don't switch off when you make a difference in Orange County and to make a difference in Orange County we need to make a difference in our school the greatest commandment is to love one another who are you as a school I've done this or not anonymous survey in 290 schools and I need your full participation I can see every person from here and I can see if your head is upright like this or bow like this and in a moment I'm gonna ask you for highly sensitive questions but I don't want anyone else to know your answer I only want to know your aunts and the way that we're gonna do this is I'm gonna ask you to bow your head like this in a moment not yet and then you're gonna put your hand up nice and high not yet then you're gonna keep your hand open and facing me not two hands one hand not all but resting on the chair in front of you not on your knee nice and high as you bow your head then close your eyes and put your hand up as I ask these four sensitive questions you will then put your hand in a fist if you want to say yes to any of my questions are we good right now bow your head close your eyes put your hand up no talking open your hands please thank you waiting for your young man thank you put your hand in the fist if you have thought of giving up in your life go open your hand put your hand in a fist if you've actually tried to physically give up go we're talking ending your life right okay open good put your hand up if you've tried to end your life because of your home situation go no one's watching open your hand and put your hands in a fist if you've actually tried to end your life because of bullying in this school go open your hand put your hand down lift your head in the school of how many people do we have here 1200 students so there is no reason for me to exaggerate there is no reason for me to make this up I don't know who you are nor for the record did any of the staff know would you like to know the results out of 1200 one in 10 have actually thought of giving up a hundred and twenty students here have thought of giving up out of the hundred and twenty who've thought of giving up there were 70 who have tried they told me right now and there were about eight because of their home situation to maybe twelve and unfortunately there were thirty students here who told me that they come to this school yeah and trust me this is very common sadly in every school Catholic Christian Jewish whatever you want to say it is there thirty kids students young adults here told me that they did not like their life to a point where they felt that they were hopeless enough to actually say maybe attempting and ending my life is the way to go and I want you to know if you've ever ever thought of giving up don't give up you don't know what beautiful things can come from your broken pieces you don't know what God can do with your life and even the difficult moments when we sometimes don't get a miracle sometimes we can still be a miracle for someone else I will never forget when I was 24 years old standing in front of a congregation and seeing a man hold up a little boy with no arms and no legs 19 month old Daniel Martinez and I looked at him and I'm like oh he's so cool I want to wrestling him later on and I got him up on stage and he sat right here and he's looking up at me I'm looking down to him and I can't give him a high five so I gave him a low two he needs like smile and it was like three months crying it was awesome and I hugged his mom and I said hey if he goes to school and he gets bullied then I'm gonna come to his school in my wheelchair and I'm gonna run them all over no that's not the Jesus thing to do right but that's not what I said but I went there and Daniel was getting teased at his school here in Southern California and I went to his school his elementary school and all I did was talk about love for 15 minutes guess what guys knowin tease Daniel ever again it was so cool like he became the coolest kid in the school I had to have a speech about humility after that he goes to middle school here in Southern California my parents got to meet parents of children with no lambs who were taught by their doctors your child has no limb kill the child someone gives them I'd Nick for each video and God gives him faith to say wow if God has a plan for Nick that God has a plan for our baby if God sustained Nick's parents then God's gonna sustain us to the point with their governments changing laws around the world to let people in wheelchairs go to the school for the very first time I even have Christians coming up to me in America saying now I know how to love my son more my son had cerebral palsy and I was so hard on him but now I know that he's beautiful just the way that he is when you can make a difference well you can make a difference yeah you can make a difference here if I was you and the speaker came to my school to tell me that thirty people at my school hate their life because of gossip social media bullying division do you know what I would do if I were you I would make a decision right there and then I will never be a part of gossip again I will never be part of bullying again I will not spread gossip I will not laugh when it's not fair because it's not what and if we really believe in a God of love then we must show America what love can be in a school Bay the first schools that stop bullying in our country be someone who believes in the God of love and that's where we can make a difference well I'll look you in your eyes say hi how are you doing I'm not asking you to be friends with everyone that's silly that's impossible but don't be an enemy to my brother don't be an enemy to my sister because you don't know who's being sexually abused at home and they're ready on the edge of wanting to give up and you instead of making a difference who ensure there will always be 3 or 2% of the world that will be the biggest bullies guys like I'm I'm you know I'm not gonna change us cuz Nick came my school and I'm still gonna teach ok I'm just gonna warn you you know they're saying what goes around what comes around the Bible says what you will reap what you we're here on behalf of my brothers and sisters if you don't stop bullying them get ready for the day your children come home weeping and crying because the biggest bully picks on them if you don't want someone to tease your daughter then don't tease someone else's if you don't want someone to touch your wife then don't touch someone else's you don't want anybody to take advantage of your wife then don't take advantage of someone else's wife it is very simple and it is real it's more than math I love that you do math I love that we celebrate Easter I love that we do Christmas and everything together when we go to church and we go to a Catholic school awesome I love you know your value take out my tongue take out my my eyes chop off my ears guess what you can never touch my soul and you know how I am I'm an ambassador the king of kings and Lord of lords who stands in front of the gates of hell and redirects traffic and I don't care what the world says about me should see my hate stuff on Facebook right now I don't care cuz when you stand upon what you stand and you don't change who you are because of what you know then you know you're standing on the truth and the truth [Music] free the next time your mum and dad fight don't try figure out who's right and who's wrong and where nothing changes keep praying it is time the young generation of America you can make a difference and show the power of the loving God we know and serve are you ready to make a difference in a moment I'm gonna ask you to stand to your feet and repeat something after me as a hoorah at the end and then we'll have a Q&A but now just everyone look at me this is the most important part of the speech ready if you have ever experienced problems in your life you don't have to do this alone don't just tell your friends what you're going through because they don't know what to tell you and sometimes because they love you out of even good intention they tell someone else and then someone tells someone else and then that's the last thing you need but what you need is someone who's trained I know that you like some of the teachers here and you hate some of the teachers sometimes I get it but we're here to love on you they're going through ups and downs too some of them don't remember the last time their husband gave them flowers data do you have no idea some of the teenagers are on an incredibly opposite way of what we're hoping our kids would be some parental stresses marriage stresses some of your teachers are depressed I didn't get it a Catholic or Protestant they're depressed some teachers need a hug from you but I'll tell you right now this school loves you and we're here for you to counsel you professional trained counseling that's confidential if you've ever felt like giving up make sure you talk to somebody and don't give up I want to take a deep breath in and out and with the permission of the person sitting next to you give them a high-five for giving my hug go ready five four three two one if you want to make a difference in this school say aye today make a commitment you saw him across schools doing that again let's do that again ready aye today make a commitment by the grace of God to do my best to know God more love him more and share his love more I will do my best by His grace to never give up to love my neighbor and to bring his love to my school like never before so help me God finally before we get into the Q&A I want to ask you will I see you in heaven when I see God he's either gonna know me or he ain't gonna know me when I see God he will either say well done my good and faithful servant you say I don't know you it's hard how come my friends who don't know Jesus not go to heaven that's hard that's why I don't give my life to Jesus well the only cure to death his resurrection the only cure to our sin is atonement and payment and a price for a sin which is death that's why Adam and Eve didn't have to die until they had sinned now if I get pulled over by a cop driving so fast and I get a ticket and you pay my ticket I'm free to go however I can't make the payment of death for your sins because I have sins to die for and you can't do that for me because we all have sinned but someone who doesn't have sinned died by choice if I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I don't die for mine God doesn't always make sense why did he allow my dad to die of cancer so then he can go home if he always if we always prayed for something and it always happened we'd never go home I don't know about you Orange County is beautiful but it kind of sucks sometimes and I just want to go home because I know I know that heaven is real and it's beautiful and there's no more death and no sickness and no pain it's peace forever more and if you think I'm judgmental to anybody else about their beliefs and you have a philosophy about your life this is my closing statement what do you say to six hundred and fifty girls in India who were kidnapped at ten years old or solved by their own mother for $700 to actually become a sex slave what do you tell them be positive you research your religions just think positive and you become your own God you try tell us leave that be good do good and goods gonna happen I don't think so they couldn't even become their own national religion because they're an outcast from society I couldn't tell them any of that you want to get money you want to get food you want to give a house they can't find healing and soul salvation without Jesus and I told him Jesus loves you so much and he died on the cross for you and he's real and he loves you some came forward went to the rehabilitation camps that Jesus really be it really bad rehabilitation caves and after 12 months guess what they got a job they made $1 a day and they save up 700 bucks to eventually go back to the brothels they were once a slave get this with a bucket of water and a white towel and goes to the very person who used to abuse them and wash their feet and say I love you because I found the love of God and I even love you and I've been praying that even though you did wrong things to me I don't want you to go to hell and I believe God hasn't done with you yet I came here to show you that forgiveness and hope is real because of Jesus Christ and then they say he is 700 bucks give me your slave they take a slave that buy out the slave and they take that girl to the Jesus rehabilitation camp and they find Jesus and they get a job and then together they come back again and again and again if that's not hope what yes and if you know that you don't know what to die for yet then you haven't found something to live for yet I want to ask you who are you and what do you want Jesus stands at the door and knocks will you let me in don't do this because anybody else does this but I always close off with an opportunity for I know the people some people need to get real with Jesus right now and say a prayer to say yes God come into my life forgive me of my sin I accept you as my Lord and Savior I don't know the plans that you have for me I have no idea what you can do with my brokenness but I can't do this on my own and I need you today this is not a recommitment this is this is a commitment or recommitment commitment this is you know what from this day on I want to follow Jesus I want God's plan for my life not mine I want God's best not mine i want God's strength and joy not mine so today if that's you don't do this because anybody else is doing it all the Sun McCaskill's wherever you're at in here if you know you need to that I personally do is number one twice a month I have a Bible Men study with my friends and so apart from church churches Church and you kind of feel like it's a routine thing and it's kind of ritual traditional or cultural whatever but but really when you get into the Word of God with friends who you can really just be your self around and learn from them and God using you to encourage them as well it's a beautiful thing I pray with my wife daily I pray for my wife and for our marriage and for our kids daily I want you to know that if I really believe that God is God the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end and I'm his child and I spend 20 minutes a day on the toilet bowl you better believe I spend 10 minutes with God or else how real is it well I can't pray for long well write a list of 10 things that you're thankful for that's more than 2 a minute if you just start there then alle verse then add three verses it's wonderful to honor the traditional religion and other things that that are represented around you but but to me what fills me and what helps me is praying to Jesus knowing the life of Jesus and knowing the Word of God when those are the Father Son Holy Spirit for me that's exactly where it's at and for me I try feed my spirit God's Word because God says all Scripture is god-breathed in the Bible so for me he loves me he knows what's happening so prayer feeding your spirit and then surrounding yourself with friends not many people will always think like you do but some will stick to those people and they'll help you along the way and you don't organization is successful what are some of the challenges and how do you cope with those when a visionary understands that the vision is from him and God will always provide for the vision provision which is something that's being said a lot that's one thing asking God for the right team around you that's the second thing asking God when to walk when to sit when to be pushing an envelope and insisting on praying with an influential person those little moments you just don't know what it could do so being sensitive to the Holy Spirit and that she kind of goes with the same thing that was just asked and what was just answered once you have that the challenges are I think I have a lack of faith because I'll tell you how it is whatever you dream it's always bigger and I want you to know that never second-guess your heart you can be humble and powerful never doubt that God can use you and when you get rid of those doubts and you're in line with him when he tells you to talk Matthew 10 19 do not be worried about what to say for it's not you who's speaking but I through you says God right he is with you and as you take little steps you remember how far God's taking you you remember stories like this that stay forever a man wanted to kill me because I went to his country in 60,000 people became Christians in a week we got an email he said if you come back to my country I will kill you I'm not stupid right I'm not just gonna kill myself going there but there is no place no safer place to be than where God wants you to be three years later went back to the country another 60,000 people gave their life to Jesus Christ we've now seen over 1.1 million people give their life to Jesus Christ guess what email we got later I came there to kill you but I gave my life to Jesus Christ instead and when you when you have that but I'll tell you this is the bottom line God would not have sent me to 18 governments 10 countries 68 68 countries ten governments until I was faithful with my own back yard and it started at 19 walking my dog where I said God help me to see even my enemies like you see them maybe my biggest bully at school has such a broken home and he has an out-of-control home in the only way he feels to be in control is to try to control someone else's help me to pray for him because I might be the only one praying for him I might be the only one who shows forgiveness and I went up to him and hugged I said stop bullying me is like what Oh does it hurt you and they said yeah it does but stop it's like oh I didn't mean to hurt yeah it's cool guess what we became best friends you don't know the beautiful things that can come from your broken pieces until you give your broken pieces a.m. but remember it's not about you it's not about me it's about the lost and God wanting to reach the lost to stay humble just ask people to pray for you and fast for you because the moment we think with thing and the moment we think we got something figured
