of those days it's been sad I don't know why I feel like I'm a pretty happy person generally sometimes I just just get some days you know some days but you know the day is taking a turn for the better this everyone that has visited from the east coast that I know it's like yo what about these pokeballs I hear so much about we don't got those in the East Coast let's go get one I'm like I'm like Oh nature's butter salmon butter of disease put the two together you have a fire pokeball all except they forgot to put avocado on mine I just realized today damn it whatever see this day does is just consuming shittier you forgot to put avocado might poke a bowl what's the point anymore in any of this no okay you know it's just like I don't know [ __ ] not having the best day but you know I think it's going to get better man I had a Pokeball recording this podcast and I always have fun doing this and then and then later it's supposed to be Taco Tuesday and I'll give you an update on last Taco Tuesday in a second care tonight is supposed to be Taco Tuesday and actually we had a we had a couple volunteers [ __ ] Noel might even host it not today but he offered a house next week and then Marcus's girlfriend offered a hosted this shit's getting bigger guys and I know I told you last time y'all should host one and tell me how it was and you should and I actually got a lot of responses from that this week to a people being like yo we did it with my friends and when we had a good time so good on you I'd like to see it this week I'm not hat we're not having one because very excited about this but Noel and I have a little studio session with a really really good producer and so that means more musics on the way but not really really going to say any more about that because honestly I don't really know what it is going to be I would like to sit here and be like yo we got more music coming but I can't say no more because this you know the idea is so revolutionary that you know I don't wanna ruin it for you guys but I literally don't have any [ __ ] clue what we're going to do but that's how keep your dicks that came about you're just sitting in my room and and someone or someone was like sure we have post mais or something and Noel was like well you got to eat a lot of food and some we like to keep you dick fat and voila song of the goddamn summer if you guys don't know if you're a first-time listener or something I have a song with one of my buddies Noel who is sometimes on this podcast it's called keep your dicks at it's not Spotify now it has 130 thousand streams on Spotify and I [ __ ] looked yesterday uh my the iTunes sales finally came out for June I made 500 bucks on that [ __ ] which is exactly what is what I spent on the video making the video so I still have made anything but like that's that's dope that's dope that's cool right I don't know when you make something from scratch and it makes money it's cool so anyways I saw no Taco Tuesday happening tonight because Noel and I will be in the booth you know spitting I'm actually really excited I haven't had fun when we were making that song I hadn't had fun like that in forever it felt like I was a kid again just just [ __ ] being creative for the sake of being creative and nothing else you know no no other motives not money not anything we were just like let's make a [ __ ] stupid song and have fun and we had a blast so I'm uh I'm very pumped to be doing that again tonight very pumped so but I hope you have a Taco Tuesday and if you do you know the drill I'd you know do you says [ __ ] and that is because this is my new merch baby and it's available now it just came out today finally got the [ __ ] store up finally got the agreement all worked out and everything that was just taking so long what does everything takes so long always you know especially in the [ __ ] in this industry when you gotta sign content contracts for every single thing you do it's like I just want to move you know I wanted to make [ __ ] and get it out there and whatever but I'm learning to be patient and I'm learning that sometimes sometimes the wait results in the thing being better I know I've actually talked about this and what am I really in one of my earlier episodes actually maybe it was even in the video I did about why I got my tattoos but part of it part of what I've learned this [ __ ] I left the Wi-Fi on again god damn it I tell myself I'm becoming a better plot cast house because I'm learning out of produce and everything but then I go and make it mistake like that whatever learning to be patient because a lot of times I'm like I just want to do it I want to do I have an idea I want to get it out right away but I realized that taking time really thinking about it going back and what it may be if it's a video going back and giving it another editing pass whatever it all gets better I remember when I was a software engineer I we were working on this app it was like one of the first companies I ever worked for and I was in charge of this social media app that we were working on was fun really cool project basically what was it well the very first version of it was it was crazy was basically like snapchat but it was like snapchat and and chatroulette mixed together sort of so like you could just send a random snap to someone and you would get one in return from someone else I think it was cool it was actually like I mean obviously it would just end up being [ __ ] hell at dick pics and stuff like that but we were kind of naive and we're just like oh man this look new form of communication this will be you know quirky and we'll I don't know people were right about us maybe because it's a funny concept of an app and it is we tested it out a lot and it was kind of fun but of course Apple was like no but you know this is going to be a flood of dicks to random people what you think chatroulette was oh the goddamn disaster remember that you should go on shower led in there with like a 80% chance you'd see a dick no actually no 9900 Connor percent chance I think every time I went on chatroulette I saw a dick at least a dick at least a dick I saw at least a dick maybe even some balls always boobs never never see boobs no I saw like maybe one pair of boobs in my you know when you always go on is like a I don't know what did she ever like come up like 15 or something tons of dicks though tons of dicks songs boobs tons of dicks at least maybe even some balls and so Apple was like no way no [ __ ] way in hell are you getting this app in the App Store unless you want your entire user base to just unless you know they have they're pretty strict Apple they're very strict which is annoying you know when you're when you have an entire company that's based off their platform right because one of the things I learned early is you don't really want to do that because I want to build your own platform you don't want to build a platform on top of a platform because and they just show your business down and you're just at you know at any moment so anyways Apple said no went back to the drawing board figured out another basically another concept where we could kind of take the same thing but we kind of feel lack of a better word pivoted it's a word that people in Silicon Valley will love to [ __ ] use they cranked off over that word so we pivoted and we ended up going with something else but and we got acted again and then I think a third or fourth time but every single time we were like [ __ ] man we just wanted to have to be in the store like we want people to be using it all this stuff but every time we went back and worked on it again and rethought it it kind of went back to the drawing board not 100% but working off what we had the app got better and better every time and by the time it's finally launched I think we were proud of it then we were of the original version so that's I don't know that can be a lesson and it was a lesson to me you know patience is sometimes key and right now I'm dealing with that a little bit because you know would have loved to have said at the beginning tough sometimes when you're seeing like no returns you know but I know I know it's staying patient is important because I know it'll eventually happen but I mean trust me this is not the worst [ __ ] thing I could be doing I know I know this job is fantastic you know what maybe realize this [ __ ] you know I stopped thinking about last week I got I got that no I when I had Carly Naren on the podcast on on late last week the episode went live on Sunday and Monday but I talked a little bit about how I chose the edge here in concert over the Kendrick Lamar concert by the way people roasted the [ __ ] out of me for that so welcome back I'll get back to that but I was thinking when I went to the edge here in concert I was like I I got paid to go to that [ __ ] concert that's it and I'm not bragging at all I was I'm just like very grateful but that's it that's a real thing in my way I want to move the second money because I bet you good sorry sorry I can move and [ __ ] around here I'm just saying I'm very I just I'm very grateful that this is what I'm able to do this now and actually like support myself and although it's tough and I'm continually having a [ __ ] remind myself that you know the money will come and all that stuff it's still amazing that I can get to that I get to do this kind of stuff for a living right getting paid to go to a concert [ __ ] sink and I thank you all of you for making that reality for me and I hope that you you know I hope that I'm giving back to you through the content into the podcast and whatever this is becoming very sentimental as is not something that I normally do but you know maybe it's just cuz I'm a little bit sad today that I'm as I laugh maybe maybe you know maybe it's because I'm feeling a little bit down that I feel like I just I'm to reflect a little bit I don't know uh anyway so I'm gonna get back to the ed Sheeran thing because [ __ ] you for whoever roasted me for picking edge here and over Kendrick okay we'll talk about that first I want to give an update on Taco Tuesday last week Adam came through he did the do team through who woulda thunk it who would have thought little backstory if you're not if you're not if you're just getting up to speed here you know three weeks ago we had our first Taco Tuesday it then became a tradition I hosted the next week I thought Adam was doubting my hosting abilities so I poured a lot of effort into it hosted this [ __ ] out of it the next week came and he cancelled so I ripped on him publicly on my podcast and people went to his Instagram were like [ __ ] you [ __ ] you turns out he wasn't even in the one doubting me after all and he was totally innocent so I said I'm sorry but he still cancelled so [ __ ] you next week he did host which was last week and ladies and gentlemen he killed it Adam [ __ ] came through he came through and he killed it so if you're watching this right now and you were one of the people that went talk [ __ ] on his Instagram go back there and say you came through comment on his Instagram and be like wow heard you came through dawg Big Ups see some along the lines of that don't say exactly that because that would be weird if there's just 10 comments of that on his Instagram I'm sure I don't know sure he wouldn't mind but just go back there and say hey dude heard you came through heard you came through proud of you he made [ __ ] steak tacos oh wow yeah so good super super good um and it was just a good good all-around good Taco Tuesday um so yeah very proud of him you know last episode I talked a lot about not blown up my spot this is one of those moments you can pull oh my spot a little bit kotas Instagram you know if you're if you were the one that found it before and if you know who I'm talking about your comments some nice hey dude you came through love the carnitas no not I love the carne asada tacos you made Cody speaks very highly of those tacos and you did you did good kid something like that you know you can riff off that you guys are funnier than me anyways okay what else happened last week so Tuesday recorded a podcast Wednesday night I went to the Tim and Eric 10-year anniversary show which was [ __ ] hilarious if you don't know Tim and Eric they're a comedy duo they've had a show on Adult Swim now for like I don't know so long and they've been doing comedy together for 10 years and because of that they did like a big nationwide tour where they basically previewed the new season of their show and did some live stuff and it was just all around hilarious those guys are so funny so [ __ ] funny alternative comedy I guess is their genre um I don't really have much else to say about this - it was really weird and if you know them then you [ __ ] know probably know how it was but it was good it was it was a lot of fun and that's that's all I have to say about the show and then on Thursday I went to the ed Sheeran concert now and then on Thursday recorded with Carla Marin in the morning for a video for their channel they turned me emo and then they hopped on the podcast actually was the other way around and we talked okay so when we recording the podcast I realized I didn't even really so we ruined Gossip Girl we basically spoiled it Erin said the ending of Gossip Girl which is a series that's that ran for like well however many seasons and we kind of were like you know if it's like if you haven't seen it by now like what the [ __ ] are you doing and so she ruined the ending and I just left it in there mostly because I was like I didn't go through and edit the whole thing I just look kind of like like I was a great conversation I'm just like throwing up unedited and I didn't realize how many [ __ ] people were going to Mattamy at that and a lot of people did so this is my apology I'm very sorry for ruining Gossip Girl for you if you're one of the people that haven't seen it but uh if you haven't seen it yet what the who what are you doing no no no Kody Dean this is a syrup ology so I'm to everyone who I ruined the ending of Gossip Girl for I'm sorry that you're just now watching Gossip Girl no I'm sorry guys I really am but come on no no I actually I'm sorry being a giant hypocrite I got so mad at that girl few episodes ago for ruining the love island season finale I literally talk [ __ ] on her on my podcast for like ten minutes talk to mad [ __ ] and then and then I go and ruin the ending a Gossip Girl one of my one of my favorite shows from the past for a bunch of people watching like way more than I thought I got tons of DMS of people being like [ __ ] you man [ __ ] you so I'm sorry I am if you're a fan of Gossip Girl don't watch the last episode of the podcast if you've seen it already dawn with Carly and Aaron yeah I'm sorry about that I got I'm recording again this Thursday for the weekend edition with someone who a youtuber whose videos I [ __ ] with very much pumped about that you'll see who it is and then yeah what else happened last week Thursday Yeah right then I went to the Ed Sheeran concert and then yeah so [ __ ] that's another thing so another thing that we discussed was the fact that I chose the Ed Sheeran concert over the Kendrick Lamar concert I had the choice my manager texted me she goes which one do you want to go to and I chose ed Sheeran it and [ __ ] you guys I got so many goddamn DMS be like dude what [ __ ] loser you'd [ __ ] loser we choose ed Sheeran cool yeah it is cool it was a great show what a monk what the [ __ ] am i get skits Kendrick Lamar I really I'm just like not really Sam and every person listening it's like what because he's the number one hip-hop artists like ever but I don't know I've just never really liked his music that much sorry and I'm not breathe an edge here and either but I was like you know what this ed sheeran like literally like I think I'd rather watch a show I don't know if I'm going to a concert of the Staples Center and I have good seats I want to watch a show where someone's like playing an instrument now I know that makes me [ __ ] sound so old the most really sound like that do that's like yo what are these DJ's doing these days just playing press and play on iTunes and making a bunch of money no I get it I gave what it is to be a DJ I used to [ __ ] be one I get what it means to have a hip-hop concert I'm just saying I was kind of in the mood to go watch a dude who's like a genius at playing instruments and creating music life and the dude [ __ ] was man he was the only dude on stage he didn't have a band he was his [ __ ] band he's like a little looper up there and he would just like slap on his guitar for percussion and then lay down the backing and then play the over top of it lay down like backing vocals and then play over top of those and he would just create his own songs in front of us it was [ __ ] amazing so [ __ ] you what would have Kendra what would Kendrick Lamar have done he would have sent you want a song dam or whatever that his album er is that one of his songs and really he was saying humble [ __ ] be humble cool sounds exactly like it does you know if I played [ __ ] on my computer it sounds exactly the same oh no but you can hear him saying it no I bet you the Kendrick concert would have been good I'm just saying don't [ __ ] don't [ __ ] why he [ __ ] wants to me because I like because I want to watch a little sheer I want to watch the sheer guy play guitar play his own backing vocals and then sing overtop of those that shit's cool it was cool man James Blunt opened for him to which I was like with James Blunt when's the last time you heard a James Blunt song am I just out of the loop I remember like you're beautiful was huge that's almost [ __ ] huge when I was however old and then I just never really I don't know after that I just never really heard that was the first time I've even heard his name since that song came out but he killed it - he was really [ __ ] good um and I went and looked him up on Spotify afterwards and he's got like a [ __ ] ton of streams like he's like I don't know I guess he's still got like a really big fan base but for some reason I don't know maybe he's just like not getting enough radio play or maybe I just don't even listen to the radio which i think is probably the case but I don't know I hadn't heard of James Blunt song in a long time but man hearing your beautiful live was the biggest blast from the past such a weird nostalgic moment for me it was dope though profitting about going to an edge sheer Shearson concert then I highly recommend doing that I was supposed to go to [ __ ] I was supposed to go to Burning Man at the end of this month but I decided against it you know it's just too much a little bit I just want to chill in LA this is the first like week in a row that I've been in LA for ever and it was Jo so just [ __ ] hung out here you know saw some people haven't see you in a while it's good man and I just like I want to keep doing that for the rest of the summer I'm gonna go to Vegas or something soon maybe next weekend but you know for now I'm like I don't want to go to Villa I don't want to go to the middle of the desert for a week and I don't know just live in the desert for a week that sounds honestly not really what I want to do right now so I we have these two tickets and we're trying to sell them and and I get this email from this dude I'm trying to sell them like you know I'm not I'm not a burner yeah I'm not that's like I think that's the term used for people who go he's a burner I'm not wouldn't least same I call myself a burner like I would get into it when I'm there but I'm not the kind of person that goes every year and spend six months building a float and all that stuff that people do for Burning Man which I understand I'm just saying I'm not that type of dude so trying to sell these tickets the tickets are in high demand right now people they're really hard to get people want them so naturally okay I'm gonna up the price right we paid face value but I'm not the price spidah-man all right [ __ ] economics learn about it so I'm getting emails from people being like yo man it's not cool that like you're selling the tickets for this much because um that's like just not not the Berner way and like I I don't care anyways we're not gonna go bring in uh so if you want two tickets let me know oh [ __ ] I uh speaking of speaking of ads on this podcast I they asked me to ask me to [ __ ] ask me to promote this survey and especially like a demographic survey so they can see who who is listening to my podcast because podcasts like traditionally have like zero analytics like if you're a YouTube person if you if you positively own YouTube or anything if you've seen the analytics dashboard as a youtuber you can see everything ever they provide every type of analytics you could possibly want on every single in your videos your audience everything it's actually pretty [ __ ] crazy podcasts are the complete opposite of that they have zero I don't even know where my lessons are coming from I have no idea who is listening to my podcast whatever and obviously for advertisers this isn't the most ideal thing in the world so they asked me if I could promote this survey I'll put the link in the description it's basically just like a hey are you male or female are you how old are you that sort of thing so if you would be so kind fill it out if you don't want to do it then don't worry about it I know I to leave me a voicemail and I wanted to hear from people and I'm going to comment on what you guys say and I'm just going to listen to them basically because the idea for this came from what am i how did I even explain this without it sounding like the weirdest thing in the entire world okay you guys know Ryan's roses are it's like a series that Ryan Seacrest does on his radio show basically what the series is is he'll have a woman call in and she'll basically it basically the woman thinks that her husband is cheating on her it's got to be a woman who thinks her husband is cheating she calls in goes Ryan here's my backstory my husband died and I've been married for this long and he keeps sneaking away he's acting really weird and I think he's cheating and so basically that was the female host on the Ryan Seacrest show will do is she'll call the husband and she'll be like hi I'm calling from this flower shop we just opened up and we're right by you and you know in order to promote the store we're basically trying to send a dozen roses to whoever you want for free just to kind of promote our service and will deliver them we just need to know the name and and whatever note you want to give right pretty [ __ ] genius pretty evil evil genius and so the guy will then be like well you know if he's cheating he'll be like oh I want to you know did to Sarah or maybe he'll say his wife's name is if he's not cheating and his wife will come on and be like what the [ __ ] Jared and then he'll have to like back himself up on live radio the whole thing is preposterous it's absolutely preposterous and so I I was sitting here with someone and for whatever reason I don't see like Ryan Seacrest and so we J we just like started doing a podcast because you know the gears here sometimes it's fun to just [ __ ] hop on and [ __ ] around whatever and we started listening to Ryan's roses because she really likes it we started like commenting on it and I was like this would be a really fun format for a podcast is basically like playing these radio shows and other people's radio shows and then giving your commentary on them and so from that spun off the little idea of oh maybe I'll have people call in and you know pre-recorded and then like basically you know say hi or whatever roast them whatever maybe so I don't really know how this is going to go honestly I bet you the first one I open is just going to be someone calling me old I bet you they're all going to be somebody calling me old but you know we'll see I'm actually kind of excited for this well I got a lot of future - goddamn unicorn riding from me in front of me it's exact these things you know are not supposed to exist and I got to go through and delete a couple of selfies of a couple dick pics so I can take a picture of the damn unicorn you know I've actually had like a lot of people come up to me in public and being like hey can I get a picture and then that happens to them and they always feel so bad you can always tell they're always like oh sorry sorry I don't wanna take up any more time every time and I'm like it's fine it's fine like I know this should happen and it always happens because
