you do every week most of you seem like you've had your coffee if you don't drink coffee then well glory to God one one day you'll come to Revelation anyway I want to welcome you to faith foundations here at Eagle Mountain International Church the revival capital of the world and those of you who are watching we want to welcome you as well thank you so much for tuning in and joining us and you're a part of this family so go ahead and pour your a cup of coffee or get ready to go to church or whatever it is you're doing right now and get wrap your Bible grab your notebook we're gonna have fun this morning I believe we're gonna get something brand-new from the Word of God amen y'all in agreement with me let's pray father in Jesus name we thank you so much for this opportunity to approach your word God and to find purpose to find and step in to the purpose that you've designed for us god it's a purpose that you gave us from the foundation of the earth it's a divine purpose it's a supernatural purpose a purpose that supersedes the natural and so Lord we thank you for it and we by faith right now enter into a place of hearing seeing and knowing from your word we take every word that you say by faith in Jesus name Amen amen well before I dive in this morning I want to say to you last week I told you as we've been talking about the church in God's revelation to me concerning the church or this has been a big deal for me and today is Father's Day and so I want to take a moment and just recognize something I honor my biological father but growing up I did not have him present in my life and it was not until I came into the church that I found my spiritual fathers and I say that in plural on purpose because the Bible says you have many teachers but very few fathers and we are very blessed at this church to have a spiritual father who is our pastor glory to God pastor George Pearson's I am very blessed and honored to serve underneath someone who not only is a leader and an executive and someone who exerts authority but he's also a father and he's nurturing and he's loving and I'm telling you those of us who are on this pastoral staff are very fortunate to have a leader who is conscious of spiritual fatherhood very conscious of being a spiritual father and I've been blessed as in my pastoral career to have men of God who have who have been willing to be spiritual fathers to me and I'm gonna tell you a story about one of them in just a little bit but I just want to let you know that the importance of the church is to fill those roles so if you're here today and you're watching us and maybe this is a celebratory day and you're excited about Father's Day but maybe there may be some that are watching us who this is a hard day for you because of what the the day from the memories that come with the day or the the emotions that are provoked I want you to know that God Himself is your father not only that but God has placed a body in the earth that is to fill that role to fill that gap and that is the you know Isaiah chapter 54 tells us that all of our spiritual children shall be taught of the Lord so spiritual fatherhood spiritual motherhood is God's design so we want to wish you and all of you a very happy Father's Day amen all right let's get started today we started off talking about the identity of the church and then we moved into a place of discussion about the power of the church but today I want to start and it'll probably take us to two sessions to finish it I want to start investigating the purpose of the church when the Lord begin to download this he said I want you to do it in two in three parts I want you to do identity power and purpose but here's the thing you can understand your identity and you can understand your power but if you don't understand your purpose you become dangerous and we'll say that one more time you can understand your identity who you are you can understand your power the amount of power that you possess the amount of authority that you possess the amount of the ability your own ability to change and affect the world around you but if there's no purpose then you become dangerous if you've never heard the old saying a bull in a china shop well the power of a bull of the bull knows he's powerful he knows he's a bull he knows he's powerful but if you don't put purpose to that power and you put him in a china shop you're gonna lose all your China it's dangerous one of my spiritual fathers in ministry gave me my first hunting rifle it's a 303 British infill rifle Gloria got no right vintage right back in the day all right he gave me my first hunting rifle as a 303 British and I spent time learning about that rifle and for everything that I could come up with about that rifle I enjoy hunting and so all that I could learn about that rifle I learned I learned that World War 2 snipers would use that rifle as a sniper rifle and my rifle had a scope on it so I can't tell you that I didn't imagine that was a world war two soldier I was I let me - I went straight back to eleven years old when I got that rifle it was phenomenal and then I learned the power of the rifle I learned that there were things that I could do with that rifle that I might not be able to do with other rifles now the it's a long distance gun and so I could make a long distance shot you know long snipers have a tendency to make long distance shots and so I was like man I don't have to wait until the deer is 50 yards for me or 75 yards even a hundred yards from me I could kill this deer at 200 yards right I also learned that there were things that I could do to manipulate the power of that gun there are certain bullets certain grains of bullets and casings that I could use to manipulate the power of that gun let me tell you something I can know the identity of the gun and I can understand the power of the gun but if there's no target if I don't use it on purpose then that gun is dangerous in my hands because I don't understand that there is a purpose to employ that gun I also learned this lesson through my newest hobby golf there are golf clubs and they do different things before I started this hobby I did not understand that golf clubs do different things I just thought there was a stick with a big thing on the bottom of it and you hit the ball right I didn't think that out so I used to joke with people I was like listen Golf is not a sport if you took the ball out of the office just be walking right Golf is not a sport until I started playing golf right and what I learned and what I learned playing golf is this you can understand the game of golf the rules and how the Macan the mechanics of it and then you can also understand that each club has a certain power level right you don't use a driver on the putting green right we got that part down but if I don't have purpose when I hit the ball I'm simply swinging I have to hit that ball on purpose when I get into the tee box I have to make sure that and there's all kinds of stuff that your goes through your mind okay I'm is my stance right is is the grip right do I have it we were talking there's my waddle right right I gotta make sure that you go through this checklist why because you're doing it on purpose faith is on purpose all right this is not what I'm teaching today but just a quick nugget if you're believing for something and you're not sewing on purpose you're not reading you're not you don't have scriptures that are on purpose then you're not believing for it you're wishing for it faith is substance and evidence it's on purpose so you have to be purposeful in faith you have to be so it so the church has to understand its identity and it needs to understand its power if you don't understand who you are that you're not gonna know what you're here for and if you don't understand the power that you have that you become dormant but if you don't understand the purpose that you have you'll chase every whim of doctrine and every purpose that somebody else tells you without having a god download concerning your own individual purpose that's the reason faith is employed on purpose according to Scripture and that's the reason the church needs to understand its purpose it's not just your identity and not just your power but your purpose Matthew chapter 16 is our golden scripture and one has just catch a few verses of this to kind of paint a backdrop of this Matthew chapter 16 I want us to start at verse 18 he says this and this is in the passion translation of the Bible he says and I want us to make sure we put that up I want to read it from back here y'all watch this he says I give you the name Peter a stone and this truth of who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church watch this he defines church a legislative assembly and the power of death will not be able to over power it so this translation shows that the revelation is the foundation of the building of the church the revelation you are crying you are the Christ the Son of the Living God he says blessed art thou simon barjona for flesh and blood has not revealed this unto you but my father which is in heaven so he makes a dichotomy between natural revelation and supernatural revelation and says I say to you our I give you the name Peter and based on the foundation of this revelation is what I'm going to use to establish my church y'all with me Church say Church based on the foundation of this revelation I'm going to establish my church right now watch what he says he says and the power of death will not overpower it pastor George says something last week that I thought was very important to this he said there's nothing with the infilling of the Holy Ghost on the birth the birth point of the church the power that was infused into the body of Christ there's nothing that we can't do there's nothing that we can't do unfortunately there are some things that we don't do there's nothing we can't overcome there are some things that we have failed to overcome why well because we didn't do it on purpose anytime you abdicate your position of authority advocate your position you've ever had children you totally understand this right can I go outside and play yes sure I don't care before you know it they got the tractor cranked up digging holes and trenching in your front yard why because you weren't on purpose about being out there and making sure they were doing the right thing and you weren't specific about what they could go and do right I've learned my kid listen yes you can go outside and play no you can't go into the front yard no you can't dress the dog up as a princess no you I mean there's all kinds of things that you got to be very specific about because if you're not specific with my kids they're gonna be outside playing all kinds of craziness and you'd well you're taking your life in your hands all right there are a lot of things that the church has failed to be on purpose about there's nothing that we can't overcome but there are a lot of things that we fail to be on purpose about or to use our faith and target our faith for what the Word of God says concerning that thing concerning that situation concerning that entity and he says here that the power of death watch this I like this verbage a lot that we we sometimes have a tendency to get caught up telling the devil he don't have any power that's not true the word doesn't even say that the word doesn't even say that he has power it just so happens that the power at your disposal is greater than the power that he possesses you've got more power at your disposal in your pinky finger then he will ever have in his entire existence so watch this is the power of death will not be able to overpower it or the gates of Hell will never be able to stand against or prevail against my church when we discern the body and understand the purpose of the function of the church in the earth then we can understand the power that we possess but its power on purpose its power on purpose God never intended the church to use power outside of faith and you cannot operate in faith unless you operate based on the Word of God faith begins where the will of God is known so if you're gonna operate in faith you have to operate according to the what the word says and it has to be on purpose now watch what else it says in this translation he says I will give you the keys of heaven's kingdom of heavens kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven and to release on earth that which is released in heaven so it's really important that we look at this verbage here and understand that this verbage signifies purpose let's read it again this verb is signified listen say this say this is my purpose I'm talking to the church this morning I'm talking to you as individuals individually this has to be your purpose but when we get together as a collective body as the power house of God this is our purpose this is our purpose this is our purpose I want you to understand that every time we get together we have there's purpose in us getting to get Jesus does not ever waste his presence and he says if any of two of you if you're if any two or three of you are gathered in my name I'm in the midst that means he's their own purpose for a purpose so if we as the body of Christ anytime we get together this is our purpose all right God intends for his body to be known as a body that loves each other says you will know them by their love for one another this in is our purpose doesn't matter whether or not I like you my purpose is to love you doesn't matter whether or not I like what you wore or how you said it or if you listen this is this will help us not this will help us grow up in the church and not see Church as optional am i talking playing this morning this helps us understand that church is not optional nor is it optional where you go to church why because there's purpose in it there's purpose in it when you start judging the body of Christ based on what you think what you have said is my opinion is greater than his purpose my opinion is great because listen how many of you moved from somewhere else to be here you reckon that was purpose in God telling you to do that and if there was purpose in him telling you to come here if you leave without him telling you to leave here what you have said is my desire to do what I want to do is greater than the purpose that brought me here in the first place I'm talking to me y'all because I left Alabama and move 600 plus miles to put for purpose and I have to take that purpose by faith and that faith operation supersedes your emotion it supersedes your comfort zone it supersedes everything about you because that faith is based on knowing the will of God I know what God wants from me and I'm gonna go and do that amen now watch this he makes a purpose statement he says that I will give you the keys of the of heavens Kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven and to release on earth that which is released in heaven this is purpose because the I want to read this to you and then I'll get into that the footnote in the passion translation says this the word ekklesia the Greek word for church is ekklesia and me Legislative Assembly or selected ones you were selected Barra you selected this is not a religious term at all but a political and governmental term that is used many times in classical Greek for a group of people who have been summoned and gathered together to govern the affairs of a city watch this for Jesus to use this term means he is giving the keys of governmental authority in his kingdom to the church this is why we can't say that the church should not be involved in politics here's the deal based on the word that Jesus chose to use on purpose let me just tell you there were several other words that he could have used to indicate church but based on the word that he used on purpose his purpose was to establish a legislative body that would legislate according to the law of God and understand it's supernatural ability to release supernatural power into the earth realm according to the Word of God so the very purpose of the church is to govern I'm gonna say that over here some of y'all are gonna be like it's my tie straight I just wanna look at it looking at me this way like I'll make sure I had a v8 this morning I'm not walking sideways listen the purpose of the church is to govern this is the reason see see in history pastors leaders and church members have understood this this is the reason why there used to be a time when candidates would start their campaign in the church and a candidate would not start his campaign or her campaign until they got approval from their pastor amen amen here's the other thing before marriages were governed by the state you got married by going to the church and two people didn't get married until they got the approval of their pastor somebody remember the family Bible as the only marriage certificate you had you just wrote it down in the family Bible glory to God me and you boo we gonna do this thing you wrote that thing down in the family Bible and you were good to go why because you went to the governing body whose government superseded the natural law of man didn't matter what everybody else it was the Church whose purpose it was to govern now hang on I'm gonna talk about you in a minute I'm almost there I'm gonna talk about you in just a second but I need us to understand that the church exists on purpose for a purpose so if you're in the room or you're watching this later on this is to shed light on something that light needs to be shed on church is not optional our gathering together the ecclesia is not optional the coming together is not optional jesus said you need to come together all the more so as you see the age or the end of the age approaching why oh that was in Jesus that was Paul but this and why why to govern to govern to govern I mom what I'm trying to there was a temptation to get to the end of the notes right there I the Lord showed me something yesterday y'all I was driving we were in the middle of a move we're moving houses and I was driving and towing a trailer and the Lord began to show me something and y'all I had to make sure I didn't run the trailer off the road Jesus will help you he began to download I'll get to it at the end but the Lord spoke this to me last week he said this God did not call you for you he called you out of you for the for the purpose of the church God did not call you for you he called you out of you for the purpose of the church God did not call you for you he called you out of you for the purpose of the church now when I heard that I was like lord I need first the first thing I did was I bounced it off my my spiritual compadre Greg Stevens is there Greg let me how does this hit you and so we got into agreement and and then I began to look that's the lord I need scriptures about this I need scripture on this Romans chapter 8 verse 6 says this for to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace so to be to be conscious of who I am carnally my own identity carnally leads to death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace then 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 15 I only want the a clause of this 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 15 says this do you not know that your bodies belong to Christ as his body parts that's an a passion translation do you not know that your bodies your individual identity says when we carnally base our identity we carnally base our identity on our physical identity the color of my skin the texture of my hair the color of my eyes the way that I look male or female those are carnal then listen I'm not I'm not denouncing those things they have their place and their importance but when you spiritually discern a body you have to do it based on the spiritual identity of those who are in the body because we are the called out ones the ecclesia right and this scripture says I'm gonna just verbatim in the passion translation don't you know don't you get this this you get this right don't you know that your bodies belong to Christ as his body parts you have a bigger membership you're a part of a larger body you're not just your own 1st Corinthians chapter 5 verse 19 and 20 says this have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the spirit of holiness who lives in you you do not belong to yourself any longer for the gift of God the Holy Spirit lives inside your sanctuary you were God's expensive purchase paid for with tears of blood so by all means you then use your body to bring glory to God you don't belong to you you were called out of yourself you were called out of your carnality again Colossians chapter 1 verse 13 through 18 he has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the son of his love in whom we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of sin he is the image of the invisible God the firstborn over all creation for by him all things were created that were that are in heaven and that are on earth visible and invisible whether Thrones or dominions or principalities or powers all things were created through him and for him and he is before all things and in him all things consist watch this and he is the head of the body the church who is the beginning the firstborn from the dead that all that in all things he may have preeminence or he may have the first place so you were called out of your carnal nature out of who you are out of who you used to be doesn't matter the decisions you used to make doesn't matter what used to define you doesn't matter what they said about you in high school doesn't matter whether or not you one valid ikh Tory no no or Nothing lad the dead all the way last that doesn't matter when God called you he didn't call you for you he called you for his purpose he cut live a better way of saying as he called you unto his purpose for the body for the church if you've never felt important in your life when you get saved you ought to instantly begin to understand your identity and your place but also your purpose this help people who feel like they don't understand that they don't they feel like they don't have a place in the church let me tell you something if you got saved and there's a holy calling on your life then guess what you have place in the church why because he called you for that purpose he called you for that purpose in order for you to say there's no place for me here you got to say God made a mistake am I getting too deep now am I saying too much because you gotta if God called you on purpose you got to stay and step in on purpose you got to you come on faith people you gotta use your faith to take your place you can't be waiting on somebody to give you your place you gotta say listen I believe what God did for me I believe God called me here and when God is ready for me to step fully into my place that's where I'm gonna step but until then I'm going to by faith begin to develop the giftings and the callings that are on the inside of me so that I could be useful to the body why because he called me to the body he called me to the body this will help you with your calling because you're not chasing you're calling for you figure out where God wants you in the church and then you'll find your calling God needs doctors in the church lawyers in the church post office workers in the church bricklayers in the church in the church in the church you are his you are a part of his body in the church you're called out I don't care what they tell you at your job you got a higher purpose God might have put you on that job not for the job but so that the job can see the church [Music] that's why you honor your boss even if your boss is less than honorable that's why that's why you yes sir and yes ma'am on your job why because God put you there as a demonstration of his body if they could just get a glimpse of him things would be different maybe you're the glimpse so while we still got a little bit of time here I outlined a few purposes of the church now I want to use that scripture that we just read in Colossians as kind of a backdrop for this he says that and all things were created for him by him so that in him he may have preeminence right now watch this there two purposes that we'll get to today the first one your purpose as the church is to represent your purpose as the church is to represent I want to break these two this word apart a little bit your purpose as the church is to represent or let me say it this way your purpose as the church is to re present to re present to re present why is that important first Corinthians chapter 5 starting in verse 20 it says this now then we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading through us this is the plea we implore you on Christ's behalf be reconciled to God for he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him so around here we know that 21st verse right we know that he made him who knew no sin to become sin so that we could become or be made the righteousness of God verse 20 gives you purpose you have become the righteousness of God not just for your own sake but to represent his righteousness at every opportunity now here's the importance of this Wise County has a sheriff his name is Lane Aiken Tarrant County has a sheriff his name is Bill II wavern has sheriff Aiken or sheriff Weyburn ever pulled you over nope nope however I have been pulled over by Wise County Sheriff and it wasn't sheriff Aiken it was a deputy it was a deputy he blue lighted me I'm here to tell you he blue lighted me I was I was just coming out of a certain speed zone into another speed zone didn't realize what I was doing tried to slow down he got me with blue lights and when he walked up to my car and I always listen I respect all of our law enforcement officers and I don't do this for me I do this for them I don't do this out of fear thinking that I'm gonna get into some altercation I do this for them out of respect ten and two ten and two and as soon as my car stops I roll down the window so that I don't have to push down and move my hand to roll down the window and I keep my hands here and so when he asked license a registration please I said yes sir I have my license and registration I'm gonna take my right hand and reach to my glove box to grab it for you he says okay and so I reach it's not for me I'm not afraid of him it's to respect his position why am i respecting his position because when he walked up to my car he had on a badge you know what his badge said it didn't say deputy it said sheriff of Wise County I win you're the sheriff no I'm not to share well why does your badge say you are the sheriff he said I am here to represent come on y'all I am here to represent the authority of the sheriff that word represent is a two-part word read and present so when he walks over to my car he may not be sheriff Aiken but he is representing sheriff Aikens Authority and I can't look at him be like nah mr. ossifer you can't write me a ticket you ain't sheriff Aiken that's forgery you can't sign your name as though you were him mr. ahzab Lozada going to jail because whether you like it or not he has the full authority of sheriff Aiken John chapter 14 we talked about this last week John chapter 14 and verse 13 we'll click back there real quick John 14 verse 13 where my their gum in the Amplified Bible and I also will do I myself will grant whatever you ask in my name watch how the Amplified Bible says this is it can we put it up here watch this I will do I myself will grant whatever you ask in my name as presenting all that I am so that the father may be glorified and extolled in and through the son noted next verse yes I will grant I myself will do for you whatever you ask my name is presenting all that I am so he says it twice whenever you asked in his name you are presenting who he is the purpose of the church is to operate in a capacity where we read present Jesus at every situation and in all circumstances why because your power may not get it but your representation of the authority that you operate in will get it your power may not do it but your representation of who Jesus is will do it you represent Jesus in every situation now this is it this is awesome go to matthew i think is that where I'm at go to Matthew chapter 28 I'm kind of skipping to the end of this go to Matthew chapter 28 and I want to look at verse 16 through 20 in the passion translation verse 16 through 20 in the passion translation Matthew 28 meanwhile the 11 the eleven disciples heard the wonderful news from the woman and left for Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had arranged for them to meet or to meet them the moment they saw him they worshiped him but some still had lingering doubts then Jesus came close to them and said watch this all of all the authority of the universe has been given to me now wait a minute before we go to this part keep it up there he's talking to the people through which the church would be born then Jesus came close to them and said all authority all the authority how much of the authority all of the authority of the universe has been given to me now wherever you go make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit he sent them in his authority one version one translation of the Bible says even says it you go now in my authority and make disciples so it's our job to read present Jesus in preaching the gospel now this should free you this should free you this should free you because a lot of situations in the church have been reacting to our individual identity and a lot of things in the world have been reacting to our individual identity you can choose to present Jesus or you can choose to advocate that authority and when we abdicate that authority that position things go crazy I literally mean that in the fullest extent of the term when we abdicate our position of authority and don't on purpose use our faith to employ our authority to represent Jesus to represent the will of God and to represent all that he is then the things around us have a tendency to operate the way they want to and run amok but your job is to reap for just like that sheriff's deputy represented the authority of the sheriff your job is to represent the authority of Almighty God in every situation so when we come together as the church there's nothing that's outside of our control why because listen we're not controlling it in our own power we're not controlling it in our own authority we operate in his higher authority and the gates of hell can't prevail against that authority you got to stop represented you got to stop presenting your own Authority and start representing the authority of the one who has said to be above all the pre-ind preeminence over all everything was made for him he's over all Thrones over all dominions and over all authority so when an authority says I have authority over listen we make this plane when sickness presents a symptom you represent the work of Jesus when we do that in the church jesus said you'll lay hands on the sick and they will recover why because you're not laying hands on the sick as John jester I'm representing the authority that trumps the authority that's operating in your body right now the second one where this is all we're gonna have time to get to today the second one is to occupy to occupy to occupy this is something that has rolled kind of this is where this is the revelation that hit me while I was driving this trailer down the road I heard the Lord say my church is supposed to be occupying and I remembered the story of in in in John of the the 10 - or Luke up rather of the 10 - Luke 19 go to Luke 19 and we're gonna look at verse start at verse 11 Luke 19 start at verse 11 now as they heard these things he spoke in another parable because he was near Jerusalem and and and because they taught that the kingdom of God would appear immediately so what's he teaching the kingdom watch this therefore he said a certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return so he called 10 of his servants delivered unto them 10 - and he said to them do business until I come the King James version of the Bible says occupy until I come now this word occupy looked it up in the Greek it literally means to do business to trade when I could but the Bible says that this person who told them to occupy was a nobleman which means he was a prince he was he was of high standing and he told him to them to do business the way he does business I can guarantee you that he wasn't just doing business on a low level he was doing business on a high level on the level of a nobleman and when he called his servants and he said you are to do business on the same level that I do business until I come back and what I heard the Lord say is the churches to do business on the same level that Jesus does business until Jesus comes back you do you this this term occupation is a big deal because when one nation is occupied by another nation that nation that is occupied is subject to the rule of the dominating nation or the dominating government or those who are in dominating rule those who have been given the Kingdom of Heaven and its governmental authority so do you remember in John chapter 18 when Jesus is arrested and the Sanhedrin take him to see Pilate and Pilate says why have you brought this man to me and they say to him we would have brought him to you if he wasn't a criminal and Pilate says you judge him but their answer to Pilate was our law does not or the law does not permit us to put a man to death Rome was occupying and their statement was if we want to do anything on a higher level of authority we have to submit ourselves under the rule of the occupying nation the job of the church is to occupy so when you understand your authority and your purpose you understand that you have a power that supersedes all of the governmental power of Hell hell should be able to do nothing that you don't control and isn't submitted to you I would submit to you that through abdication the church has allowed the kingdom of darkness to do too much because we decided that we were going to sit back not engage and just be our own entity but that was that the church was always intended to be turned inside out what happens on the inside was always supposed to get on to the out into the outside when we advocate our position of authority we're not occupying when we abdicate our position of authority with our children we're not occupying and so somebody else gets the top voice somebody else has the influence when we advocate our position in our communities we're not occupying the church's purpose is to occupy the church's purpose is to do business on the level that Jesus himself does business remember it says as he is so are we where let me tell you something if Jesus was walking on this earth the things that are happening on the earth would not be happening the way they're happening on the earth but Jesus is walking on this earth he's walking on the earth in you because greater is He that lives in you than he who lives in the world and the job of the ecclesia those who are called out to take on his name is to occupy in every situation and in every circumstance to represent all that he is and all that he stands for all the authority that is in him you represent in every situation and in doing that you occupy that situation some of you are in places of occupation at your job and that not just talking about your employment you are to occupy in that office and how do i occupy in the office they don't listen to me I'm just a secretary you an election I don't know if you're aware of that or not but we are getting ready for election in a moment I'll give you some information about how that you can keep up with the election process here inside out it's not preaching rules and regulations to them no it's walking in God's grace and walking in his faith and when you do that's how that's how things have changed God so we welcome you with us this morning Canada Germany and Ireland is there hello Ireland the Netherlands Poland Singapore Spain Ukraine here placed you strategically in those places for your light to shine and and for you to do what you called it I say this all the time that God calls full-time minister since this guy's amidst schoolteachers and put some in the classroom yes he takes full-time ministers disguises them as lawyers puts them in a courtroom and he's taken you and he's placed you where you're supposed to be and so that's part of the Bible we encourage you to be part of it at least get the full or hurtful or painful comes from God we experience that stuff sometimes but God's all the forces of heaven are always working to have entrance into your life and to bring in heaven on earth into our lives do you believe that so I'm a psalmist so I write songs this is probably my temp goodness of God song and I wanted to share it with you guys this morning because I believe that as we celebrate wholeheartedly the goodness of God it opens up a door and brother codebooks is saying all here this year praise is the big gun of faith so when we have faith in the the nature in the welcome to Eagle mountain the International Church in case you've forgotten I'm pastor Terry Copeland Pierson's I have been gone for only a month oh you didn't even know I was gone we had a great time and pastor I know he updated you last week on our Israel tour what a wonderful time wonderful time to be together we had a hundred and seventy plus people just traipsing all over the the Promised Land glory to God it was wonderful it was good and then Sacramento meeting last weekend great outpouring of the Word of God there we had a great time there but you know what it's good be back home great to be home and happy Father's Day how many fathers are in the house let's see those hands [Applause] so glad to have you all in the house today praise the Lord well what what before your keep those hands ready if you are if you are the first time you've been here at Eagle Mountain could I see your hand please we want to give a special welcome to you as well first time yes if you look there under the seat in front of you or in the pocket there there's a visitor's card and we invite you to fill that out and because a couple of reasons when we whatever record of your visit but we like to be able to pray for you and know that you're here and then in addition to that we want to give you something so if you could if you stay a few minutes after service we have a reception wanna greet you have this service today we're believing for the blessing of the Lord to be upon you so back to Father's Day I wanted to say something at this point here just a little bit setting off our Father's Day you know there are first corinthians chapter 4 if i can find it here verse 15 after all though you would have 10 thousand teachers guides to direct you in Christ yet you don't have many fathers I became a father in Christ Jesus through the glad tidings of the gospel some translations say spiritual fathers you know we need fathers in our lives a lot of people grow up without fathers some people grow up with mean or angry fathers or absentee fathers our music fathers and then it's wonderful when we grow up with really good fathers so I first of all want to acknowledge my father who's in the house today [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's wonderful and he has a father to us and we are privileged that he is and then also this about spiritual fathers and there's something as Scripture I was thinking about this yesterday and today about pastor George so I was looking at this scripture and and my dad as well you know it said you don't have many spiritual fathers and so there can be more than one who have imparted to you know Paul talked about I want to come to you because I want to impart something to you so a lot of things that we get from spiritual parents mothers and fathers it's not only what they teach us because he said you can have many teachers and teaching is really good but it's those ones that impart something to you and in part by their example in part that and then in part by their spirit in the faith and just the the aura and the spirit of life and that they walk in and here's what Paul said about it in first Thessalonians 2 he said being dust tenderly and affectionately desirous of you we continue to share with you not only God's good news but also our own lives as well for you and become so very dear to us you recall our hard toil and struggles brethren we worked night and day in order to not be a burden to any of you while we proclaim the good tidings of the gospel of God to you you are witnesses and God also held unworldly and upright and blameless was our behavior toward you believers for you know how as a father dealing with his children we used to exhort each of you personally stimulating encouraging and charging you to live lives worthy of God who calls you into his own Kingdom and his glorious blessedness hallelujah and I just wanted to say publicly I think it's important for you to have some insight into our household in our family that we don't just teach and preach this stuff but that man sitting right there lives it every day of the world he never wants to be a burden to anybody he lives his life totally for the people that he serves which includes brother and sister Copeland but it also includes you and how much he lives to serve him to be a blessing to you [Applause] [Music] and then we have this very special treat this weekend I'm very very very blessed have enjoyed it all weekend off and on that we've had we have both of our children and their husband husband and wife and oh the grandbabies there was stuff light in every direction yesterday the pool it was great it was great and so I wanted to have the opportunity to have a moment just for the grandkids to come stand here with poppy and nonny you know it's like they they look at me and they say honey where's poppy where's poppy this is the newest one that goes around constantly where's poppy where's poppy where's poppy so we start with the oldest this is justice James yeah and the next one is allele in Sabri and the next one is Kalyan Rebecca also known as KK and this is our darling Jessie graze this is Jimmy and Sarah's little girl and yours Jeremy do you agree with that are you on board with that of course and I wanted to give special recognition to Gloria Copeland stand up give her a great hand everybody [Applause] it is so good to have Gloria here in the house with us today and she and I would be taping broadcast prosperity broadcast this coming week Gloria were headed to 365 broadcasts we're headed there one year of prosperity broadcast and if you haven't been watching her healing school on Saturday mornings on the believers voice of victory network you need to be doing that what a tremendous teacher and we're just so glad that you guys are here in service today are you ready to receive offering and Luke 15 the Lord just brought this to my heart and I feel real abbreviated teaching on this but you're familiar with the prodigal son you're familiar with that story about what he did the account of what he did and I'm gonna start it kind of in the middle of it because in verse 17 it says when he came to himself he said how many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and despair and I perish with hunger I will arise and I'll go to my father and I'll say unto Him father I've sinned against heaven I've sinned before you and I'm no more worthy to be called thy son make me as one of the hired servants he went through this speech he actually went through this speech that he was going to give to his father he was going to present himself to his dad he was going to go home because he knew he could go home he know he could go back because his father loved him so much you know there's nothing really in here that talks about mother I don't know where mother is I don't know where she is in this picture but it talks about the father and the compassion that his father had for his both of his sons so he finished up he said make me one of your hired servants so he decided that verse 20 he arose he came to his father but when he was yet a great way off his father saw him his father was looking for him every day he never never gave up on him he never quit on that son and it said he had compassion that deep inner determination to love that love that's a giving love it's that compassionate love and he ran he fell on his neck and he kissed him and the son said to him and he started to launch off into the speech that he was giving him father I've sinned against heaven and in your sight and I'm no more worthy to call your son and right in the middle of that the father stopped him whoa whoa wait wait he means to anything to his son he turned around and he said to the servants bring forth the best robe put it on him and put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet and bring hither the fatted calf and kill it and let us eat and be merry from us this my son was dead he's alive again he was lost and he's found and they began to make merry one thing that I wanted to point out in this he said he put a ring on his hand he put his ring on his hand and that ring on his hand gave him access to everything everything the father had he'd already given him the inheritance but this loving father was so thrilled to see his son back but he gave him access to everything that he had well you go down here a little bit further talking about the older son and the fact that that he was celebrating the other son the younger son was coming home and in verse 28 says he was angry this this older son he would not go in there for came his father out and he entreated him pleaded with him and he answering said to his father love these many years do I serve you neither transgressed I at any time my commandment and yet you never gave me a kid that I might make merry with my friends but as soon as this your son your son my brother but your son you need to work with that elder son a little bit that your son was come and which had devoured your living with harlots heard brother Copeland's say this before he must have had harlots on his mind anyway with harlots you've killed for him that fatted calf and this is the verse that I wanted to get to right here this is it right here and he said to him son you are always with me and all that I have is yours and I heard that as a distinct word this morning for us what a good father we have what a wonderful father we have and I want you to hear his voice this morning saying to you all that I have is yours all that I have is yours passion translation says everything I have is yours to enjoy the amplified says all that is mine is yours I want you to hear that this morning as we prepare to give now go ahead begin to play I want you to hear that this morning from the father as you give as you sowed into the kingdom of God you need to hear his voice all that I have is yours everything I have is yours it's yours it belongs to you whatever you need right now whatever you need to get beyond paycheck to paycheck whatever you need to pay off that bill whatever you need to pay off that debt whatever it is needed in your household to bring your family back in line together again the Lord says everything I have is yours that's a good father that's a good father Luke 1231 fear not little flock for it is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom James 1:17 every good and perfect gift the amplified bible says free large and full gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variableness neither shadow of turning father as we come before you today what a good father you are as we present our tithes and our offerings freely to you we hear this resounding on the inside of this all that I have is yours all that I have is yours and father we partake of that today we partake of every benefit that you have for us we partake of the hundredfold return we partake of everything Lord of the multiplication that you want to do in our lives and I thank you that over this congregation every bill is paid every need is met every debt is wiped out and there's more than enough we are blessed beyond measure Lord because of what a good good father you are we receive this word in Jesus name I want you to hear this on the inside all that I have is yours all that I have think about them a lot and I think about as a parent from the time they were born watching them go through life and experience the ups and some of the downs and the struggles that they've been through and I think about how wonderful they are not Aubrey what a wonderful mother she has become in a minister of the gospel psalmist kind servant's heart and how she ministers to me and all that she does I prayed over her from the moment she was born about who she would marry and as she would grow up I'd think to myself you know she's growing up in this household of faith Lord you've got to find a guy for her that she doesn't have to raise but somebody somebody that will step into the role pretty quick and you know the Lord did exceedingly abundantly beyond beyond all I can ever ask or imagine because she brought Cody into her he brought Cody into her life and growing up in that household of faith Shelli and Bob Oaks parents Billy Bren mother just the wonderful leadership of the Spirit that he walks in and what a wonderful husband that he is to them to those great children I'm so thankful when Jeremy was born it was before the days that they would allow you to come in as the child would be being born the husband would sit in another room but I remember hearing his voice right after he was born cried out and then Terry shouted praise God praise God and they brought him in to me put him in my lap I looked down at him and said I'd like to introduce myself I am your father and to watch him grow and how how he made us laugh they both did but he had a he had a sense of humor still does but some of the things that he would do is he would grow and develop and the talents and the gifts that he had and then when he married Sarah aha when he married Sarah there's so much that she's done for him it's amazing to me at how good he eats I'm just Jeremy and I used to think that snack wills were help more healthy for you because it said snack well [Music] and I'm so grateful for Sarah what a woman of God what a devoted not only wife and mother but also a writer a psalmist a preacher and as I've seen and observed her over these last few weeks what a businesswoman she is she's the one that's handling all of the deals in Colorado and that's that takes an anointing to do that to do all of those things and I'm so grateful that she came into Jeremy's life and that he came into hers and so with all that said I want to introduce to you my son who I love dearly and I'm so proud of and I just think he's just tremendous Jeremy Pearson's [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] well you know a man should be a good preacher when he went into ministry when he's three and now at 40 prays and you know I remember 40 and Jeremy said yeah you did that twice [Laughter] amen hallelujah and I want to take just a moment here of course to bless all the fathers and maybe answer a serious question for you who is the strongest or who is the most important the mother or the father which of the two is the stronger well if you have a son he's going to become a son-in-law if you have a daughter she's gonna become a daughter-in-law but then there's your wife and she is the law does that answer the question [Applause] happy Father's Day happy Father's Day lady [Music] [Applause] [Music] man I was geared up for something heavy right there I thought I need to write down whatever is coming next Wow thank you Dad thank you so much I'm not crying you're crying god is so good we you know we've spent a lot of time this morning just loving on each other and celebrating fathers and you know I think it's a day set aside to give respect and thanks to dads because they are dads and I think that's good but the father's among us that are worthy of the most honor are the ones that most represent the father and the ones that have done everything they could do to point us as kids to the father and even just recently a few nights ago we were putting the kids to bed justice and Jesse one night and I just felt and pressed to talk to them and say listen there's coming a time in your life justice it's coming for you sooner because you're older but Jesse it's coming for you too you hear mom and dad talk a lot about God we talk a lot about the word we talk a lot about the things of God but there's coming a time in your life where you're gonna have to get your own gun that had to happen for me that had to happen for Sarah both of us grew up in and the house of faith households that that love the Lord and love the word but there had to come a time in our lives where we had to get our own God you know what I mean by that he couldn't just be daddy's God Papa's God Mimi's God moms God anymore and there's come a time in their lives if you've got little ones at home grandkids at home there's come a time in their life but they're gonna have to get their own God but our responsibility as parents is to point say he's over here he's right here this is where you find him and I want to say thanks to my my dad my grandfather for doing such an excellent job of pointing so clearly to our Heavenly Father and saying this is the God you want right here and mom said wonderful things about dad about papa but if you want to know how good a that is you need to ask the kid right operate would you come I want to give you a minute or two here they say something say some nice things so nice thing yeah well in front of everybody I wanted to take a moment and let you know that I forgive you for breaking my bunny cup it's taken all these years out time and the Lord has put it on thirty years ago all right I know it's bitterness rottenness to the bones and felt it was time to publicly let you know no I forgave you of that last year we did we grew up in a wonderful home a wonderful home and we were talking yesterday about today and that Jeremy wanted me to share something and for the first time in my life I actually had no words I I kept trying to come up with these hallmarked phrases and these beautiful sayings and nothing seemed fitting and I asked the Lord is like war I have so much to say about him why can't I think of the right thing to say and it reminded me of a picture guys can you put up picture that first picture I gave you and you know pictures worth a thousand words and usually I have those thousand words but today this is what the Lord put on my heart that picture is a perfect example of my father that man is a stranger but that day he was my dad's friend and he came to him and he asked him for money and this is his quote I'll give you money if you let me pray for you that doesn't come from wanting accolade and affirmation that doesn't come from trying to reach a certain status it comes from a heart a heart for people a heart for others and I hear it often you look just like your father or you talk just like your dad or you act just like your father and I appreciate those things I do I appreciate that I have his hair in his eyes and our same weird sense of humor that only few get we're okay with that we don't care we think we're funny I appreciate those things I do but if I only had one thing that was like him I'd want it to be his heart because it's a heart after God and I appreciate that about him and I don't the older I've gotten the more I realize how rare that is so of course after the Lord said do that picture then he gave me words I wanted to read this over you this is Psalm 112 shout in celebration of praise to the Lord you who love the Lord and you delight in him you cherish his words and you're blessed beyond expectation your descendants will be prosperous and influential can I get a half okay your generation of godly will experience your favor great blessing and great wealth feel fill your house your integrity endures forever even if darkness overtakes you sunrise brilliance will come bursting through because you are gracious to others you're so tender and so true life is good for you because you're generous and charitable conducting affairs with honesty and truth your circumstances never shake you and others will never forget your example you don't live in fear or dread of what may come because your heart is firm ever secure in your faith you are steady and strong and you won't be afraid but you calmly face every foe until they go down and defeat you're never Singhji and always generous to those in need your life is a life of influence and honor it will never be forgotten for you are full of good deeds the wicked take one look your life lived like this they grit their teeth and anger not understanding your bliss dad I want to honor you today and thank you for being a man after God's own heart [Applause] amen I was thinking yesterday looking back at first Samuel 17 when David went out to fight Goliath when every other soldier in that army was shrinking back in fear this boldness and this courage spoke up and man that stood out and it'll stand out today the same way it did that day and he spoke up and said what do I get if I beat that guy and he asked two or three different people about it they gave him the list of things and this boldness got so talked about so quickly that he made hit made its way to Saul and Saul there's one here who wants to fight him and you know the stories David stood before Saul and he said I can do this i'm i beat the lion and the bear and i'm like this uncircumcised no covenant Philistine we'll be just like them and Saul said you can't do it you're a youth and David preach doom and then Saul said go and you remember the whole thing David went out there he took the Giants head off you got to read the rest of that story sometimes that the children's church version is is rated PG but if you read the whole thing it gets a little intense David grabs that severed head of that Philistine giant and did not let go for a long time ran chased that army down came back to the Israelite camp and he got hauled before Saul no no if you remember this or not but there was one question on Saul's mind he asked it twice I don't remember what it is but he turned to his servant after David had just won this battle you know you want to know what he wanted to know whose son is this whose son is this and his servant didn't know by the time David came back with head in hand not his own head that other one that's the first thing Saul asked him whose son are you interesting question isn't it whose son are you and of course David answered him I'm the son of Jesse your servant but there's a purpose in it and that's because I believe people are supposed to see the son and glorify the father and I'm so thankful that Jesus didn't come to this earth and say yeah I'm God's son but I want to make my own way I want to be my own man get me out from this shadow no that's stupid and I feel somewhat the same way when people talk to me about the same kind of thing you know did you ever feel like as you grow it grew up in the shadow of great people you just had to go make your own weight he just had to fight for yourself and get it all done yourself and I think no that's dumb and Sarah will attest to this I mean she not been traveling together since the day we got married and that was almost 12 years ago and I cannot think of many if one time in the last 12 years I have not been introduced to come speak and somebody's pulpit and stand on their platform as Kenneth Copeland's grandson and George Pearson's son I mean it's nearly any time and every time I've ever taken the pulpit Kenneth Copeland's grandson George Pearson's son and people want to know you know does that get old absolutely not I am well aware that that is much of the reason I'm standing in that pulpit this one included why fight that huh why resist that but jesus said if you've seen me you've seen the father and I would say the same thing that's what I believe and would hope to say as my life continues papa set it up he said I'm 40 I'm almost 40 if we could be clear about that almost 40 the window on the 30s is closing quickly but I want to be able to say the same thing if you've seen me you've seen my father you've seen these men in my life who've so beautifully and brilliantly pointed us to Jesus amen Thank You Laura father we come before you and your word today and we're so grateful so grateful to have your word so grateful to be able to look to it and stand on it we open it up today and we open our eyes by faith we open our ears by faith we open up our hearts by faith to see to hear to understand things today from your word show us who we are in you Lord Jesus and who you are in us and we give you all the thanks in all the praise for the good work that you've begun in us we call you faithful to finish it because you are the author and the finisher of our faith and God I'm reminded today that you are the father of glory that glory comes from you you're the source of it and we ask for it in a great measure today in this service in a big degree show your glory we dedicate this temple to you we dedicate our temples to you and we ask you to fill them with your glory fill this place father of glory with it your glory do great things in us through us and among us today in Jesus name we worship you amen amen you got a Bible with you this morning I want you to go with me to the book of Galatians chapter 6 I want to say thanks to mom and dad for giving us this opportunity right now in this time to stand before you and share some of the things that are going on in our lives dad told you I think they've told you two weeks pass some of the the adventures that are ahead of us just about three days from now four days from now we'll be packing up the car headed out of town we're loading up the office we're packing up the house and we are out of here as they say and this has been my home for all my life almost 40 years born and raised in Texas and this is this has been home but Jesus said that there would be an opportunity for you to leave something for his sake and the gospel's and I believe that every child of God every believer in their life will be faced with at least one opportunity to leave something or to leave somewhere for his sake in the Gospels and I'm for one and thankful that he gives you that opportunity because what that opportunity is it's our chance our opportunity to demonstrate what's most valuable to us to leave one thing and pursue another is to say what I'm going to though I love what this is what I'm going to is more valuable to me even if you're not leaving something bad you're not leaving you it's not about leaving sin I mean we did that but Jesus is talking about leaving a home this is not a bad thing that you leaving but what you're saying is Jesus nothing on this earth is more valuable to me than you and your gospel it's an opportunity to demonstrate that so this is what Sarah and I are doing together in just a few moments I'm gonna have her come and talk to you a little bit and just like dad said she has really been a driving force in what's about to take place in our lives I have sought the Lord for a number of years about this whole church thing am i a pastor that's the big question I've wanted answered am I a pastor I don't want to mess around with this if I'm not and just about the time I think I am one I travel and go to know Church and to see the junk he's dealing with I think no I'm not but they never come around again that question they've got to get that question answered you don't want to step off into something that you're not anointed to do right but more and more and more we since that office and that anointing coming into our lives coming on our ministry but I will tell you this this anointing to Pastor has been on my wife I'd say longer than it's been on me and her heart thank you Jesus for the church her heart for the church is what's gonna make this thing prosperous in some ways I feel along for the ride know I know I have a bigger part to play than that but I want you to hear from her today concerning concerning some of those things but in the book of Galatians chapter 6 down around verse 9 let's look at a couple of verses together says let us not grow weary while doing good for in due season will reap if we do not lose heart verse 10 says therefore as we have opportunity we talked about that just a moment ago opportunity every say opportunity opportunity is one of the greatest gifts God ever gave men opportunity the opportunity to respond in faith to His grace he didn't force Jesus on anybody did he know why because love forced on somebody else is not love it's not love what love does is create opportunity opportunity to respond to it and that's what God's given us he says therefore as we have opportunity let us do good to all now we we know that that's a part of the assignment on the church the global body of Christ we know that's a part of the assignment on each local church is that is to do good to all people in the church know that people outside the Church knows that actually I think people outside the church want to hold the church to that even more than the church itself you're supposed to be doing good you're supposed to be doing this and they want to tell you what that is folks don't let people who don't love God tell you how to love God don't let people who aren't seeking his plan tell you what the plan is you understand that right but you and I recognize that there is an assignment on the body of Christ and on the church to do good to all right we know that but listen to this as we have opportunity let us do good to all but notice especially especially to those who are of the household of faith the the good that you and I are supposed to be doing is not supposed to be limited to doing things for an unbelieving world there are things that were called to do feed people clothe people build and shelter people and do things for people that don't yet believe as a sign and a wonder a demonstration of the love of God to them that draws them to him but there is a huge assignment on the church to do good to the church to do good to the people of the household of faith the house of faith will talk to you this morning for a few minutes about the house of faith you do realize that there supposed to be a difference between this house and every other house in the world there's a lot going on right now in our culture to identify difference and magnify it identify the difference between people and then get in there and get them to fight about it and right now these differences are being exploited they're being magnified through people's words through the way our culture is set up to communicate they are picking out every single difference and magnifying it and saying if we're different than you hate me that's not true it's not true at all but they are saying that these these differences like our difference in our skin pigmentation difference in gender difference in in socioeconomic status difference in heritage or lineage or nationality all these differences these are huge differences these are not the biggest differences that could exist between people Satan would love for us to think that these are the biggest differences but the biggest possible difference that could exist between two human beings is one that is born-again and one that is not that's the biggest listen to me now possible difference sadly often times there's not a big enough difference but this is the biggest possible difference that could exist between two people one who's born again one who's not one whose spirit is alive under God one whose isn't that's a big difference that's a big difference and when you read this scripture concerning the household of faith I believe there are a couple of ways to read that you could take it to mean the the global body of Christ and of course that is the household of faith we are the family of God he wasn't after a religion he wanted a family amen and we are a part of this this growing in this global family this household of faith we are his children because we call him father another little thing that annoys me right now since we're on some of the things that are on me right now is to hear people say we're all just children of God and at first it sounds good until you stop and think no that's not true the only ones who are his children are the ones who call him father that's what makes you his child the only children of God are the ones who are Jesus brothers and sisters that's what makes him father and you child so yeah we're a part of this big global family and there is supposed to be a difference between this family and the other family in the world now it shouldn't surprise you or me that Satan has a counterfeit for family because he's how he's got a counterfeit for everything God does for everything God is Satan has had a counterfeit option for it so it shouldn't it should not surprise us that there is another family in this world and that one that would fight to tell you this is family this is what family should look like this is what family should act like because Satan's always had another way of doing it there supposed to be a difference I'm gonna keep saying that to you this morning there supposed to be a difference there supposed to be a difference between the real and the counterfeit the genuine and the fake there supposed to be a difference and just when you start you know feeling uncomfortable because of how different you feel how different you feel for believing what you believe how different you feel for living the way you do at work at home in your family guess what get over it deal with it there supposed to be a difference you won't know what kind of difference they're supposed to be Paul said it like this he said we are sons of the day not of the night that's the kind of difference that's supposed to exist between us and them who is us born again children of the Living God who is them those that aren't this is the kind of difference that's supposed to exist night and day difference you don't walk out of this place in you know two three hours and look up brother Copeland is here you know you don't walk out of this place and look up in the sky and see that big ball of fire hanging out up there and say I wonder if it's day or night out here you don't have to wonder do you there's proof the light is the proof that's the kind of difference they're supposed to be between us and then this house of faith but I believe there's another way all I could tell you like this I read it in another way not just that but when I hear house of faith man that means something else to me entirely because I believe and I believe this for a long time I grew up in the household of faith maybe you've heard me talk about this before but I believe it's true it's a big part of my life I grew up in what I call the household of faith I mean I'm convinced if you do a Greek study of these words right here Copeland is gonna be in there somewhere somehow that's the kind of house I grew up in it was just faith man it was faith in the morning it was faith at noontime faith when the Sun went down that's the way we lived and I realized pretty early on going to a Christian school I went to a Christian school not too far from here and I remember mom you correct me if I'm wrong about this but I remember being six years old walking in to Byron mckissick Sophos for that kindergarten interview and application and this was before school had started and mom and I were there she's filling out the application form for me to go to school there and she puts you know all the normal stuff name address parents names grandparents names and I suppose you wrote down Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and the way I remember you tell the story is he looked at that looked back up at you and his eyes began to welled up with tears is that right and he pulled out of his shirt pocket a Kenneth Copeland tape and said this has changed my life and even at six years old I sat there thinking this is gonna work out [Laughter] you're right and that's the school I went to kindergarten till the day I graduated high school so I went to school with a bunch of other kids but other guys and girls who Christian people Christian families but you know you've got a school like this and there's a lot of denominations represented a lot of different backgrounds a lot of different doctrines and ways of thinking and I figured out I don't remember what it was but it seemed pretty early on that even being a part of a Christian environment being a part of the household of faith there's a difference even between this house and other houses in the family you know every family has family within family and every family's got that side of the family and sometimes just be honest with each other I feel like as the house of faith we are that side of the family we're part of the family but we're the side oh did we forget to invite you to that thing and you know it's all right we deal with it we're okay but every family's got that side of the family and I realize as a kid growing up even around other Christian kids there's something different about this we do things differently and you've heard me tell it before but you know some friend of mine would disappear from school for two three days and come back and say where were you man he'd say I was sick not feeling good had the flu whatever we're like are you okay I was fine yeah just sort of laid around watch TV mom brought me food one bad I was thinking that's not what happens in my house when you come in and say mommy I don't feel good it was not immediately met with a coddling and a petting it was lights on covers of where's your Bible get you confessions we're gonna take communion say this after me Jeremy Tom by the stripes of Jesus I am healed by the stripes of Jesus I say it like you mean it my says redeem me from the class [Applause] this is how we did it this is how we handled stuff and I realized pretty early on we go to the word for everything if mom and dad are right then this book has something to say about everything and we're gonna find what it says and we're gonna believe what it says I'm gonna live what it says and I figured out this is not what's happening everywhere but this is what it means to grow up in the house of faith and anytime anytime I'll be or I either one will come to mom come to dad I need this deal with that going through this every time it was met with well what's the word say what's the word say what's the word say it kind of gets to the point when you're a kid you like just tell me what the word says that way I'll know and I can tell you I remember when Aubrey was in college we were on the phone and she was frustrated with mom and dad about something and she now we're talking about it and she said I just talked to mom and all she says is well what Scripture are you standing on what Scripture are you staying in every time I talk to her all she says is what Scripture are you standing on they got real quiet and I was like well what Scripture well you want me say something else [Laughter] but how do you know there's a difference there's a difference growing up in this kind of house we read some scripture to you go go to the book of second Corinthians we're laughing about it but I'm tell you this right now I wouldn't trade it for anything I would not trade it for anything and what little ridicule I endured at school a little bit of persecution or whatever because we're that side of the family it's worth it you get over that in a hurry when you find out that you've got access by faith to all of the grace of God and you get taught and trained how to lay hold of it and how to stand and how to fight and how to believe and how not to give up I'm telling you I wouldn't trade this for anything I want to read several verses to you from 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 and I'm gonna read quickly through them but there is a word that keeps coming up verse after verse after verse and if you're not watched will you'll read right past it but I want to put some emphasis on it and see if you pick up on what we're where we're going here just begin in verse 1 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 he said therefore since we have this ministry as we have received mercy we do not lose heart but we have renounced the hidden things of shame skip ahead to verse 5 for we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your bond servants for Jesus sake for as God who commanded light to shine out of Darkness who shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ but we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us verse 8 what's that first word we are hard pressed on every side yet not crushed we are perplexed but not in despair persecuted but not forsaken struck down but not destroyed look at verse Allah and for we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus sake that the life of Jesus also may be made manifested in our mortal flesh verse 13 and since shout out loud we have the same spirit of faith according to what is written I believe therefore I spoke we also believe therefore speak verse 16 therefore we do not lose heart even though our outward man is perishing yet the inward man is being renewed day by day for our light affliction which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we do not look at the things that are seen but at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporary the things which are not seen are eternal chapter 5 verse 7 read it out loud for we walk by faith and not by sight every person in here who ever had a mom and dad has had this conversation you want to go somewhere you want to do something something everybody else is doing somewhere everybody else is going and you come home and say hey can I go can I do and mom and dad look back and say no now every person who ever was a teenager responded with these words right here that's not fair everybody else gets to go everybody else gets to do and if you ever had a mom and dad this was their response I don't care right I don't care in this house we and right in that moment as a child as a teenager whether you realize it or not you are discovering who you are you're finding out your family I as much as you may not like it in that moment you're finding out what makes you different from every other family in this house it's Father's Day we'll say it like this and daddy's house in father's house we don't go there we don't do that everybody else gets to I don't care if everybody else goes we're not we don't sometimes you don't find it out quite so peacefully sometimes you just up and say something that you thought you could say there but then you find out in this house we don't say that anybody ever had one of those moments you heard a kid say something at school and you thought that sounded funny there and you brought it back into this environment it came out of your mouth and all of a sudden that that deathly silence told you you shouldn't said that what do you find it out we don't talk like that we don't live like that we don't go there we don't do that you're finding out who you are now I'm so grateful that through every one of these scriptures that we just read the Apostle Paul did not say I I'm pressed but I'm not crushed I'm persecuted but not abandoned I'm perplexed he didn't say I have the spirit of faith therefore I speak he didn't say I walk by faith and not by sight if he had said that every one of us would have gone well that's you man you can do that you're the great Apostle Paul What did he say we this is family we're finding out who we are in and as a difference between that and who everybody else is and in this house this is how we live in this house this is how we walk this is how we talk we're laughing about some of this but I remember the day I think about sixth grade we used to have early morning devotions together John as a family every day I think it was six o'clock in the morning dad would come in and get me and Aubrey and dragged us out to the couch because at 6 o'clock that's when the believers voice victory came on and we're gonna watch it together now they should have turned on the lights because at 6:00 a.m. in a dark living room on a couch under a blanket it's too cozy for a sixth grader to stay awake but though we slept through a lot of it we did it every day consistency consistency and there was one morning in particular I think after the broadcast was over I think we usually would pray together then go get dressed and start the day and I remember there was a kid a friend of mine in my class whose mother had been diagnosed with something really serious and she was either in the hospital at the time or had just passed away and there was a lot to talk about it in class and as thankful as I am for a Christian school I told you there's a lot of different doctrines floating around especially among sixth graders we've got it figured out right so everybody was talking about why God did this we don't understand but he's sovereign and he did it and there's something to learn and I'm probably at this point here in this day after day after day and so I brought it up at devotions that morning with mom and dad on the couch and I must have framed the question like I had been hearing it why did God let this happen and I found out right then we don't believe that we don't believe that and you would have thought I cussed [Laughter] I'm telling you something that's stuck with me that got in my heart that day we're different we talk different we walk different and we believe different and in this house this is how we do things we walk by faith and not by sight everybody else gets to walk by side I don't care if everybody in the world gets to live by what they see and what they feel I don't care if everybody else is making money decisions I don't care if everybody else is living motivated by what they can gain financially I don't care for everybody else in this world is living by it's nothing more than what they can see right in front of them in my house I hear the father saying this morning we walk by faith and not by sight the reason I bring this up with you this morning number one I want to from this platform express my gratitude for it it it means a lot to me because over the last 10 or 12 years my wife and I we've stared down some things they've been some things show up a time or two and our family and extended family that we had to know what to do and how to handle it and how to walk it out and I am now and will be eternally thankful for what was put in me as a child what was put in her as a child that same spirit of faith living and walking by faith you know this doesn't ensure that junk doesn't happen it just ensures you know what to do when it does it ensures that you know how to identify not with the struggle but with the Victoire and his victory that's what makes us different and really honestly it's one of those things that makes this side of the family different than the rest of the family we just have a different way of talking one time not long after Sarah and I got married we were living in that little house and something was going on with our Wi-Fi service so I had to call his AT&T to get some help and they I finally got through the automation and got connected to a human and the guy answered the phone and he said how are you today and I said oh I'm good my name is Jeremy I'm I said Tim how are you doing today he said I'm living in the victory just shoot out of my mouth and I said living in the victory you sound like a faith man and he's like yes I am I was like me too man I'm a faith guy and they did not take long for me - yeah I live in Fort Worth I'm a part of Kenneth Copeland Minster are you kidding Kenneth Copeland ministries Wow I said yeah as a matter of fact that's my grandfather he's a partner with the ministry he's got the family calendar he's like you September you know we learn to just identify we're different we're different who else talks like that living in the victory it's hard to get most people to say fine how are you most of you just want to tell you all the junk that's going on and I'm surviving you know just living with my lot it's not a lot but it's whatever has out of me there's a difference so let me say there's a difference because they're supposed to be they're supposed to be a difference so I'm the one I bring this up again to express my gratitude and my thanks in front of my mom and dad my grandparents thank you for taking the time to put these things in us they're valuable to us and we won't lose them number two the scripture is very clear in the Book of Psalms that one generation has the assignment to declare God's works to the next and that's not just something that's done from a pulpit or a platform that's done out of the mouth of a parent and a grandparent and if you've got children and grandchildren at home you have a god-given assignment and a mandate from heaven to declare His goodness to the next generation that's your job whether you ever stand and preach on a platform or not it's your job say it's my job to declare his goodness to the next generation and that's what I want this service to serve today as a reminder to you that you have a responsibility every generation has the responsibility to serve as a bridge from the generation before to the one that's coming every generation has that job right there that mandate you exist as a bridge that revelation from the Word of God can walk across from the generations that have gone before us to the ones that are coming after us and we're pretty serious about this that's why we if you've known our ministry at all serán eyes since we've launched out into our own we have built our ministry around the idea of legacy we call our television broadcast legacy TV we've called our magazine the legacy letter guess what our church is called and I guess he church because legacy if you look it up just simply means something that's given from one generation to the next one something that's that's been that that's come from another time into the present that's legacy is brother Billy Graham said it best like this he said the greatest legacy that one can leave one's children or grandchildren is a legacy of character and faith the greatest legacy one could leave one's children or grandchildren is a legacy of character and faith now my parents my grandparents I'm telling you have done so much not just from the time I was little but since their and I've gotten married and now we have our own family we're raising another generation in the house of faith and Aubree will attest to this for her family too they have done so much for us they've done so much just through encouragement they have blessed us in every imaginable way materially financially every way you can think of I tell people all the time if you don't have a rich grandpa you got to get one of those cuz they are awesome they're all so man I'm telling you if you don't have one fine one they're amazing but for every good thing that mom or dad or me me and Papa have ever given to me to Sarah to our kids none of it compares to the spirit of faith that was alive and well in our home not just in this place of church or business or employment but in our home that's why we're laughing about it but it really was faith in the morning faith at noon faith when the Sun went down and now we're raising another generation and our children are starting to find out there's a difference between us and the other boys and girls there's a difference and justice and Jesse both we've had them in a Christian school for the last several years wonderful Christian school great great place full of good family and and people who love the Lord but we told them I said you go there you learn and you study good but when it comes to pray listen to mom listen to dad cuz I come home and we say okay now you guys pray before we go to sleep and they pray something we think now wait a second you have never heard daddy says you've never heard mommy pray like that and so we're teaching them right there's a difference come on pray with confidence pray knowing that your father hears you and he loves you and what he wants for you is good you lay hold by faith now this is not being said in every other house I guarantee you that there's a difference say it again there supposed to be a difference and now we're raising this generation in a house of faith a couple of years ago we loaded justice in the car we're headed out to an appointment we're running late so we called some food in you may be heard me tell this story but we got him some food we handed it to him in the backseat and he wasn't talking to us but out of the backseat we heard him open up his food and say grilled cheese you cooled down now Jesus name folks listen you might be house of faith if your four-year-old gives the faith command do a grilled cheese sandwich there's something different about you there's something different but they're their relationship with the Lord is developing there they're getting their own God and I wouldn't trade this for anything Sarah sweetheart would you come [Applause] want to give you what the Lord's given us concerning legacy church because one primary reason we want your agreement we want because this is family for you to stand in agreement with us concerning the launch and the continued success of this thing we have just this past week Sarah was in Colorado and she closed on our ministry property have we've actually got a few pictures can I show you a few pictures of the place that's a it's a long story but the Lord led us to this place it's on a hundred and fifty-one acres a beautiful mountain land you can there you can see the building now the property needs a lot of love alright but we're excited about it we're geared up for it hold it right there you can see this is a 30,000 square foot facility and down on the right end there's a gymnasium this used to be a school of some kind of not totally sure what but I know what it is now there's a there's a gym down there that will be converting to a sanctuary there's a lot of offices classrooms but this whole Colorado thing people ask us why Colorado and to be honest with you it's just something the Lord put on us ten years ago this year she and I were laying in bed the night before Thanksgiving 2009 and we were on staff here at the ministry and I'll be honest with you I just thought that was going to be that way for a long time you know when when pawpaws the man and mom and dad are really high up there's a certain level of job security that you know just if if all I can do is just not be stupid then I can have a job here for a long time but we laid there in bed that night and started dreaming out loud and saying things that I wasn't even totally sure I was allowed to say about stepping out and having our own and and having our own place and having our own people and serving God with a team of our own and this thing about Colorado just came up on the inside of us and for the next several years we thought it was like any day and Sarah was pregnant with Jessie so over six years ago we were up there looking at property looking at land and we came back to the house that night and the Lord had spoken to her and said it's not right now it's not yet go home get your ministry establish find your place there so we just we put that aside so to speak and just started pursuing the things of God here and late last year all that about Colorado just woke up on the inside of us again back in the fall and we got some good direction from the Lord and we began looking for a place and the Lord led us right here you can put those pictures back up I want to show you this this facility is in a little town called Green Mountain falls and it is right between Colorado Springs and Woodland Park Colorado some of you may follow brother Andrew Wommack ministry his ministry is in Woodland Park and this property is really right between the big city and their property they're up in the mountains it's about a 2,000 foot ascension or more from Colorado Springs up this way so we are up in the mountains not to make you jealous or anything but it's probably sixty degrees there right so you can see this is from the back of the property looking forward it's a good view and one of the things the Lord told us all those years ago when we were in Colorado looking for a place he said I want to tell you ten things about your property that you need to know so that you when you know these things you'll recognize the place when you see it this vision you get it on the inside before you see it on the outside and one of the things he told us actually the very first thing he said was this property will cause all who step on it to look up to look up and that's what we believe we found here even keeps growing through now still hold it right there for a second you see that highway that's highway 24 that's the ute pass and that is the main highway that comes we're just about 15 minutes from Colorado Springs just 10 or 12 minutes from Woodland Park and it's got to go to get from one to the other you got to pass us we're right there so right on the highway with a hundred and fifty plus acres I mean it's the goodness of God it really is the goodness of day you stop back there for a second one of the things we saw in our heart all those years ago was having a place where other ministers could come and get refreshed and get strengthened and built back up so while six seven eight years ago when we were in Colorado looking we were looking for property with cabins we were looking for places where people could come and stay this place not only has that school slash church facility it has nine cabins on it and this one you see here there's a number of them there's four just like this one and they're 2,500 square feet each five bedrooms I mean these are these are great places they need a little I can set a lot of love but we're up for it we're excited about it and the Lord's already providing you can keep going through all who step on it we'll look up thank you lord next one do we have any more I think that might be in let me give you before I want Sarah to say some things let me give you what the Lord said to us about this church and if you've got this and you can put it on the screen that'd be great at the heart of legacy church is the unyielding belief that Jesus was is and will always be the answer because he is Jesus for every generation this local church with a global call is the platform from which we reach the nation's serving our generation with the Word of God teaching them how to live by faith how to experience whole life prosperity that's prosperity spirit soul and body and how to raise a family in the household faith that's the assignment on this church that's the mission the core message if you will and the scripture the Lord gave us was from the book of Ephesians chapter 3 you know the verses that lead right up to it they're familiar verse 20 says now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us verse 21 here's our verse for our church legacy church to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever that is the assignment on this place that there would be glory in this church and whatever brings him glory that's what we want going on there if people being born again gives him glory that's what we want if people being healed brings him glory that's what will be happening in this church if marriage is being restored and put back together it gives glory to God and we know it does that's what we're believing God for in this place whatever gives in glory we say in Jesus name that's what's going to be happening here and Jesus will be preached to every generation amen [Applause] when we went away to pray over the church just to find out Lord where are we supposed to go we we knew we were supposed to get on with it and go for it and you know it was such an amazing thing to just take steps of faith and that's one thing I've learned over these last 10 years even though with 12 years really even though we've had this in our hearts for so long it it doesn't just happen overnight it takes a lot of planting and a lot of sowing and it takes a lot of walking by faith know I was thinking about not probably the six years ago when we were in Colorado we were actually with Mimi and Papa and is staying with them they actually went to look at some property with us I don't know if you guys remember that and we were in the car driving and Jeremy said to me me he said how do we get from where we are to where we want to be we had all these dreams in our heart all these things that we're only experiencing today we're in our heart all those years ago and Meeny piped up and she said just keep walking and at the time we thought well can you give us something more like is there's something more you can give us tell us something more tell us all your secrets but the truth is that was the truth and that was what we needed to hear just keep walking we walk by faith and not by sight so all those years we had to start preparing and planting and sowing and what Galatians chapter 6 talks about keep on doing good to the household of faith and and over time that thing - pastor just kept coming back to our heart you know that love and that hunger to be in a sanctuary and this morning as I was praying over this I kept thinking about David and this the psalmist and how all through the Psalms he was so in love with this sanctuary and being in the courts of the Lord in Psalm 63 love this scripture because just the the situation that he was in running from King Saul he was off in the cliffs of in Getti far away from the courts of the Lord where the presence of God was housed at that time far away and he said in Psalm 63 oh god you are my god early I will seek you my soul thirsty for you in a dry in a weary land he was feeling dry away from the presence of God and he said I love this part I think let me see if I've written this down somewhere I can give you the exact scripture in verse 2 he said so I have looked for you in the sanctuary see your power and your glory and really the the whole the drive for all of this is that we were hungry we were thirsty to see his power and his glory in the sanctuary and really that's why church or the house of God being planted in the house of God being planted in this house being planted in whatever house God has called you to is so critical to your life so so crucial to your family it is what the psalmist also said he said blessed are those who dwell in your house for they will ever be praising you they'll always be praising you because of the blessing that's connected to being in the house of the Lord I think about Psalm 33 where it says behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity it is like the precious oil upon the head round running down on the beard see this that that's that precious anointing and that corporate anointing that only happens the sanctuary that's what we should be hungry for and thirsty for every morning before we come to church every week we should long to be in the sanctuary we should love value of honor highly esteem what happens in the sanctuary go after his glory and then it says there it says it's um it's like it's running down that oil is precious running down on the beard the beard of Aaron running down on the edge of his garments it's like the dew of Hermon descending upon the mountains of Zion for there the Lord command the blessing life forevermore the blessing that's on the sanctuary and I think about Psalm 96 that says honor and Majesty are before him strength and beauty are in his sanctuary there's strength here today that we don't get when we stay home and watch it online there's strings that we get in the presence of God there's there's the same spirit of faith that we get when we join together and we come together and I think that all that to say we were hungry for that hungry for our place and to be right in that sanctuary where he had called us to be so after that gets so big in your heart after a while if you start to sense in your life that there's something more that means that there's something more and you have to go after it and the Lord spoke to me years ago he said they're a people of faith have a spirit of adventure people of faith have a spirit of adventure now Jeremy always jokes around with me because he says that if you weren't my life I would basically have no adventure because I'm you know I we go at certain we drive down roads and I'm like hey we turn down that road what's down that road and it'll you know he said he's a Sarah there's a no trespassing sign in front of that road it's ok which I want to know what's down there I want to find out what's down there I always go back and I think about as a kid and my brothers are favorite movies like Indiana Jones and the Goonies and like all these adventure movies you know I was ready for adventure we were outside we had little it lived on a bunch of land we were ready to go explore we wanted to go find rocks or snakes or anything that we could find that would put us on some kind of adventure I mean we are we're hungry for adventure but I believe that's because our Father is the great adventure an adventure is in his bones faith is in his bones and he is wanting us to have that story to have a story of our own he spoke to me one day and he said faith in God will give you a story that will give him glory and my own story with God so many stories of his goodness that I can tell it for the rest of my life and I'm so that day I thought about that I said Lord that I know I had that that spirit of adventure is going off on the inside of me I know that it's time so we've been we began to go after it we started taking steps of faith we started visiting cities and towns that we believe that the Lord was leading us to go to and soon enough we found the property and it took about six months but if we hadn't just put one foot in front of the other and started to walk by faith we would have never been I've come to the point we are today and it and it really is a walk of faith and taking steps is a huge part of getting to that destination and now I believe that we are going to be entering into the first phase of our ministry all these years have been preparation for this time and we are so thankful and so blessed and I was thinking about this spirit of adventure and I was remembering a scripture that had read and I'm actually I'll read it to you it's in Romans chapter 8 and I love it in the amplified it says this resurrection this is verse 15 this resurrection life you have received from God is not a timid grave tending life so if you're bored the I want to encourage you today to go after more because God has a big plan and adventure plan and that is part of being in the family of faith and living in a house of fan of faith that us as a family we go after the plan of God together we go after his will for our life we refuse to be bored but we live life on the edge of our seats we are hungry for more we're always going seeking after him isn't that isn't that a real adventure what what is it this is the process of adventure to me the faith adventure to seek to expect and to find you seek you expect what you're seeking and you will find it and I love this it says it's not a timid grave to new life but it's adventurously expectant greeting God with a what's with a childlike what's next papa what's next what is it Lord where am I going where you taking me let's go let's do this thing let's go on this adventure together and for us this church adventure is the next phase and we're so thankful to share it with you today thank you for for being on the part of a part of this and celebrating with us rejoicing with us this is this is like um like a almost like a birth of a child and it's really exciting it's a lot of work but there's so much joy so thank you for being a part of it amen Thanksgiving series right there's a spirit of adventure anybody who's willing to live and walk by faith and that's what this is for us and we believe the Lord is in this and leading us in this and I encourage you what I want you to do with this today is take this and search the scripture find out what makes your household different than every other one because there is supposed to be a difference and I've got a running list going right now of things we do in the house of faith that maybe they don't do in every other house and I'll tell you this in the house of faith we put the word first in this house the word comes first in this house man doesn't live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God in the house of faith we love because we've been loved that's big because faith works by love and the love that we walk in with each others is the overflow of the revelation that we have of how much our Father loves us in this house we're led by the spirit I'm just giving you some of my list okay in this house we're led by the spirit Sara mentioned this in this house we pursue his plan not our own that makes us different you realize that right scripture says there's a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death that means you and I ought to be seeking and finding his plan its pursuing that one in on our own in this house we value the anointing we keep our children our families around the anointed Word in this house I know that's not the same in every house but that's how we do it in this house in this house we give and we live by our giving I could go on and on with these but I encourage you today to make your house a house of faith and I know not everybody had the same situation that I did growing up in a house of faith like this Sarah had Hausa faith her parents and grandparents serving the Lord in ministry loving God loving each other I know not every house is like that but it can become like that right now I mean you could go home today and before the end of this day declared this is a house of faith and if all you took with you some of the things you heard today that would be enough to change the legacy that you leave there's a lot of people mindful of leaving a legacy I'm gonna leave something to my kids and leave something to my grandkids and don't misunderstand me that's a good thing but I want to tell you this the life that you live is the legacy that you leave do you hear me the life that you live is the legacy that you leave so live the legacy the greatest thing you could leave to it to a kid or a grandkid is not a bank account full of money is not a nice piece of property those things are fine those things are great but the greatest thing that you could pass from your generation to the next is character and faith father in Jesus name Sarah and I come into agreement with this congregation today and I ask you Lord that you would take the word that they've heard and route it down deep on the inside that it would minister and bring change to our lives we are so thankful father for the opportunity to stand in front of our family and ask for their agreement to join us in faith with the things you've called us to do we thank you Father for every good thing that you've begun in us the good work that you've begun in all of us every one of us in here today and again Lord we call you faithful to finish it because you are the author and the finisher of our faith in Jesus name we thank you amen [Applause] Wow Wow Wow well would you help me bless my kids as they launch out into this I [Applause] was thinking about the verse that says that Jesus said if you if you've seen me you've seen the father and Jeremy quoted that they also said if you love me you love the father does that automaton honor the father and so I think that's a really good principle and so we have no problem George and I were kinda like the Oreo cookie where the cream in the middle I guess we have my father to look up to and aware of our children that we're very pleased with this is our beloved Son in whom we are well pleased there been some other churches that have received offerings for them and have supported them in their church and the land and making the purchase and all that is involved in moving because they're moving their entire ministry and you may not realize but their ministry is not just Jeremy and Sarah but they have a staff they have equipment they vent their television broadcasts and all that they do their team their magazine and so forth and so all of that pretty much all of their team is moving with them to call in fact we have any of Pearson's ministries the international staff in here today I know we have some I've seen one or two wherever you send up just one just one who's there Laura Thoren to hear this it's in that okay so anyway they have a team that's going to be going with them and other churches have received offerings for that and some very significant ones I might add very impressive and their gifts and we really value that but to my knowledge no one has helped to take care of them they're moving to Colorado - and they aren't gonna live at the office and they have a home they have a move and so what we wanted to do as for us was to receive an offering today to support them and to help them personally to make the move and whatever else they want to do with the funds you know however it comes to them we're putting it in their hands to do with as they want to connect it into this move and however they need it the most and it best to go towards their house then they're going to do that I'm this Colorado is nice but a tents not good all year long right so they have found a house and they have a nice one and they are the process of getting that house and so we're going to help them move forward in it then as a church we've already partnered with Pearson's ministries international on a monthly basis we've been supporting them but this is different and so as church to church we will be increasing our partnership with them on a monthly basis and ongoing because they're bee and they will be adding staff you know it takes a lot to Pastor a church and I want to tell you this too the Lord's already shown his approval on this ministry and that there are people coming from all over to be a part of legacy church they've heard from people from all parts of the country and all different areas in fact a few people from this church have let us know we're heading out to be with Jeremy and Sarah and to be a part so we'll have our eyes on you know I'm kitty and so it's a good thing it's a good thing that that we as Eagle Mountain International Church are still very connected with Pearson's ministries and legacy church so as you give today that's the part you'll be given then - so here's my scripture for this this is acts 28 Paul was on the island of Malta so many great things were I'm good like so many great things were happening like brother Copeland coming to the platform right now Sensa fight over there period the word of the Lord just came to me saying this is not an offshoot Church this is not something that has been just happening for a few days Eagle Mountain International Church has given birth to legacy church it's not a sister Church it's a child church and you're a part of it and you're part of the birth of this dress steamer the comma the similar article of this adventure that Sarah talked about it is not just an adventure it's a family outpouring they so rejoice and be glad for your legacy is part of this legacy and your port is big and your part is not just to sew into it financially but to pray understand and to pray in the name of Jesus on a daily basis because your children your your children Jeremy and Sarah are part of your family they are your children as well as ours and as they step out we're all stepping out with them so it's not a just a financial matter saith the Lord it is a matter of family and you pray over them and you seek me for them saith the Lord for you have no idea how big this is because they are part of your prosperity they are part of the prosperity of Eagle Mountain International Church they are a part of the prosperity of Kenneth Copeland ministry they are part of the prosperity of Kenneth Copeland Bible College and the future of all of these ministries is Young's will through ossama Cara I say is among is corporate faith in action Fred this is part of the revival capital [Applause] [Music] Thank You Father you wanna I'm sorry oh okay alright yeah that's good alright acts 28 eight and it came to pass that the father published last sick of a fever of a bloody flux to whom Paul entered in prayed laid his hands on him and healed him and when he then when this was done others also which had diseases on the island came and they were healed who also honored us with many honors and when we departed they laded us with such things as were necessary and I like a couple of the translations in the Greek it said they gave us an enormous sum of cash that's good they heaped on a full load that's good new living translation they showered us with many own honors the JB Phillips they honored us with many gifts and this other one they supplied us with all that was necessary so this is the offering that we want to give to them in this part for them personally and then go ahead drop in my heart pastor agree the mornings offering this first offering this morning we want that to go to the church [Applause] [Music] so we'll we'll be putting that in towards the church and this one will go to help them personally but you know is a help to the ministry as well so it's a good thing praise God so if you want to get involved in this offering grandfather saying it to me over and over and over he'd say that's not what we believe that's not what we do that's not the way our family does it and and that's that is a good thing and it's time that somebody says that and I'm so appreciative of that message listen you can still be part of that offering if you didn't get that information we encourage you to be part of that to give today toward what Jeremy and Sarah are doing in Colorado and I'm telling you I have a family in Colorado my wife is a Colorado native and and the word needs to be in Colorado now more than ever and so we're part of that I'm glad that you're a part of that as well listen I want to tell you about some things don't forget that this coming Wednesday night next Sunday morning right here but we have something I mentioned it in the break earlier America stands election coverage in the spirit of faith is something that you can only get here on the believers voice of victory Network and election season is up and running the first democratic debate out of all of these people that are running for president one of them eventually will face off against Donald Trump and we are going to provide election to take what the candidates say in their speeches because you know we're not arguing against somebody we're going to take what the candidates say and line it up with this book what does the word say
