hello everyone in this video tutorial we are going to create a 3d model from this 2d drawing this drawing is really a good practice for improving your skills of growing reading or if you are going for an interview tool test after one or two years of experience as well as those who are aiming for csw associate examination so just follow me till the end and definitely you are going to create this 3d model so with that let's start four more steps first of all we will read the drawing plan out or model then and finally create it in these Solid Works so first thing first we will break out break this join this is a so view so nothing to worry about just for reference same over here I saw you then these are the detailed views so we will come to those when we will be creating those features finally that leaves us with the two views and clearly this has got more profiles and dimensions so we will start off with the top this is front view so in the top view you can see this is the outer profile and that will be the our base sketch we are not going to create say this extrude cut or this slot cut in T single sketch open only so what we can do is we can create this circle this slot everything in one profile and then create the cut out so that even this one also create the cut out to get this 32 mm depth if we do that then we don't get the individual control all these features and that is the reason I will create them as individual feature and not the one feature itself having said that this is a really good model if you plan it out if you observe this vertical line can be considered is the symmetric center line and only for those features which are on left are on the right side also this cutout counter were all this Lord this circle this revolt cut out everything is on the right hand side so we will not create them twice we will create a it them once only and then below it also what we are not going to mirror is the base case we will create them as a single entity and then extrude it yes that's the plan so with that let's start with the modeling so initially I will be using 200 dimension then 35 again 35 here yes the origin will be this one so just you should know with let's start now go and create the new part all the clicks keystrokes will be appearing over here in case I forgot to mention so press L all to see to create this centerline I will make a dynamic mirror and and go for the line then finally so we have filete of 35 over here this is 200 sorry we have got this center-to-center distance first let's assign third 200 yes then we have this diameter as 35 radius 200 and then what we can do is yes I forgot to mention or not yes right yes I didn't mention this dimension is 40 finally the center of this we let sorry this arc will coincide with the origin that makes our sketch fully defined and I will extrude it to the depth of 60 and enter in the front plane I will go and create the X will cut out for this profile so 32 is the offset at the and this Philips 19 in galleys 40 when these filete is 30 both of them are 30 this is 20 and 19 not your why with distance of 130 yes it is so I will roughly create this profile and then mirror it Danny press control make them parallel okay this is incorrect this one is incorrect I think if I goes like this and then you can merge them here these two are parallel the angle is faulty sorry Jen line this angle is faulty whoops vertical dimension is 32 we have got Willits this is 30 this is also 30 20 at the top and 19 for here I will okay let me ask another distance that is remaining so I have created this pillar oh let's assign the offset distances make them 32 at all place since 32 and this is also for 30 sorry this is also 32 that is done and then we have one another dimension which is yes 66 so that is nothing but the extension of filete we can create that easily and it will fall somewhere over here only and create this entity yes so this is 66 now what I will do is I will just delete this entity press an old C or I could have simply made it make it centerline select everything mirror perfect just flip side to cut out and through all both I will accept that now this is perfect now I will go for 50 diameter cut out that is this one I will choose to go with the top plane extrude cut it is good practice to make the use of default planes as those are the ones that don't get deleted 50g diameter so even if you make any changes over here this cut out stays as it is make it concentric extrude on the reverse direction I just fit through all then we can turn on the temporary access press this creative plane make it parallel so that I can now create the reward cut out the dimensions I have got our pretty simple and just make a centerline now all to see reset Center that it be and yes so we will make that horizontal and this is 33 radius with 33 and sit yes it will ask you to close this sketch automatically and yes I will go for that and the axis of rulers revolution will be this one as I mentioned this will be 180 degree cut so it is 180 degree yes this is the way we want and except I think something is wrong over here let me just see okay this cutout is hiding let me see what's gone wrong I think what we need to do is this will not work out with this line we need to extend it somewhat and then I think it will remove the material because that's what we want we want to remove the material yes this is correct so initially it was not clearing out all the material since the radius was increasing gradually over here after doing that cut out now it's time to say go for the center holes I will just hide these lines now let me show you one method of creating this hole if you look into the detail this section view for the same is that it is given over here yes this one just try to focus on what I'm doing over here very clearly so first of all I have a profile with diameter of 50 this diameter is available from here itself where it is it's supposed to be 50 diameter let me just find out yes this diameter is 50 then we have a small diameter of 24 and then finally a bigger diameter of 43 from this section depth of individuals are given in the 1 and 5 rest of them rest of that portion is of 24 diameter which will be 16 so I am going to create it in a different way I will go in the advanced hole and first of all I want in this top phase this profile itself so maybe I will go 4 and symmetric or something like that but this will be the custom-sized so the diameter will diameter is 50 and its depth is blind which we know is 11 so we will keep it that way then we want far side that will be the bottom phase so I'll just reverse this one because I want this profile right in the counter for only select this phase we know that diameter again is 43 and depth is not up to the next element but that depth is 5 mm perfect so that is done now still there is one another profile we need so over here we will say sorry insert element below active element but we want above the active element so I will insert it and it is default by default selected that is our hole whose diameter is 24 so I think that is also not available yes we will go for again I mean we'll go for the custom sizing and the depth will be up to next element that is fine and we will just if you want to anytime delete any of the element you can delete it from here if you insert anything above or below the element that element will be selected by default so just don't get mistaken over here okay sorry I need to look at it location will be at the origin and I will accept and now if I take the cross-section of the view then yes you can see that's what we wanted perfectly now yes this error will definitely come because there is a small transition over here from Planalto filete this can be easily dealt with DPhil 'it's so don't worry about it right now same condition you can see over here also but since I have taken the top plane it is creating the cutout through everything don't worry about this right now then we will go for this slot again my choice will be to go from top plane extrude cut then just to make it symmetric and go for the centerline yes press ctrl and select make it symmetry this should be concentric and it is okay so this radius is 207 that's unbelievable but yes it is then we have got what we have bought so center to Center distance is 30 to radius is 207 that should do our job so this tooth is it is 32 and now if we are saying the concentric relationship this should work still something is missing what could be missing yes this one I didn't mistake over here let's go for yes the radius is remaining that's why it is popping out this much so that is 15 now let me assign the dimension and then it should work out 15 now if I make it concentrate yes and finally we have 207 sorry the diameter is 15 Northey radius Bible so that is 7.5 because you can see the end-to-end distance is given here if you see it is from here to your that makes it diametric distance so yes again same thing through all the direction okay that is done now we will jump on to creating that this whole this one so C is the detail for that whole and now let's look at those details so diameter of through all is 10.5 counter bore diameter is 22 profile 28 that is the depth of the counter bore diameter and it's through all this radius is 20 so what it is showing me over here is you can see this is the fill out of 20 over here right so here we can figure that out this is 20 so it is the cross section type and it shows okay from here to here that depth should be 28 we can look at that hole 8 is the distance between tools from the center line it is 40 and 40 years and another location distance in y direction is 23 TZ and this hole I will be creating using hole Wizards legacy hole in that I will go for counter bore diameter so the through all diameter is 10.5 10.5 theft is through all now bore diameter is 22 and counterforce depth is 28 that is profile of 28 is mentioned in the new position just select the planner face and this hole will be perpendicular to it I think yes this is the place where we look at it simple location so that is 20 and the either side tees 40mm from the centre accept it and I think this is our all that we want yes now if we again take the cross section and yes this is exactly what it looks in the section view or this small detail view that is Sean okay very enough that is also done now what is the left yes slot cut out so this profile now I will be getting all the related details from here except its location that is 8mm from this outer edge and 52 mm from the vertical centerline linear distance it means this line is vertical so in this area that is the detailed view let's cut that cut out 2012 15 13 radius is 6 again I will go on to the top plan and create arbitrary shape this one is a 10 [Music] and like this from the origin this distance is 52 now yes I'm purposely creating it on the right-hand side so just to refresh one of the things that you can do with the mirror 22 and this is or saying everything is better than no let's see them okay this one is 8mm this distance is 15 and then we have distance from the center of our plate whatever you say radius is 6 you just select everything except finally we need to assign this dimension which is sorry don't select the line in point select the vertical tickle line and this point perfect that is 13 so all the dimensions are clear come out to all sorry give us the direction now just think like if I would have integrated this 1 2 3 and also the next slot cut out that I am going to create in one feature then this feature tree will would be very very small anyway there's then that's not the correct way of doing finally we will create this small slot so dimension 4 that are also given it is a 10 angle yes okay radius is 1.5 distance from center to the center of the old to center of this slowed arc is 48 angle of 22 degree that's what we want again top plane extrude cut I will hide this pin centerline yes we have horizontal center line and yes then we have straight slot yet on this one dimension is 1.5 this distance is what 48 yes and captain angle of 22 degree so what is left now I just need to or if you can keep it like this also not an issue because there is no possibility of any cut out over here but still if you want you can convert the entity and where it is cream cream yes you need to break that slow that is the reason I don't encourage anyway yes this is perfect and now what remains yes tangency since everything is broken you need to assign the tangency again parallel and now perfect our sketch is fully defined exit in the opposite direction through all done slot cutout is ready finally the counterbore all so from the top plane I will create another reference plane distance of 16 ok on that I will create a sketch for reference which was somewhat like this and if I consider a point at the center and from there the distance between two is 33 fine then it should be perpendicular to this edge yes and yes the sketch is pretty good I will make it okay don't Pierce then just go inside now that looks good I will exit the sketch and go into the old wizard for creating the counterbore hole we want there's symmetry show the custom size the diameter is yes but this will again bring the wrong detail in our hole [Music] mmm-hmm what will go for these counter ball drilled and initially we chose the flat bottom counter bore hole here we want that we drill angle so the normal diameter of through all is eight okay it is true or not you know that is no that is not it through less than 40 mm bore diameter it is 14 counter ball depth is 10 mm this is correct now depth so how to assign tee depth that is given like this from this centre line it is 22 then how we will assign this depth we can maybe do some mathematics to figure out the depth so mm-hmm there is doing yes 10 then we have this diameter of 50 and it is clear that it passes this line passes through the center this depth is finishing tangent to this circle hence this should be 25 so 25 plus 10 that is 35 pretty simple or as you know this is 35 this is 35 right so from this Center is 35 plus 22 so 35 plus 22 makes it 57 where is the yes line death 57 I will position it this pale face and accept the one perfect just take the cross-section view yes that's exactly the way we wanted it close it and now what remains is nothing but the mirror so my mirror plane will be the right one and in the mirror come on I will select everything this feature is is and you can select the feature from the other side of the plane also and that will get better too so it is not like that it mirrors from left to right or right to left it can mirror from left to right and right to left not our condition but end so that is one small thing I wanted to show you I was just curious about that accept it everything is fine but you just don't do like that keep everything on one side itself so yes I think everything and all the details are covered finally fellating portion remains so Philips 2 mm feel that this edge this portion then from this section you also we can figure out that yes if you just show you don't you at the bottom at the top there is filete and here in between it is chamfer we'll go for that also so Tito and yes that what was what I was talking about initially if I go for this filete then you can accept you see that portion is gone now so don't worry about it everything will fall at its place gradually then we have Philips or here also and except finally two chambers by 45-degree here that is 2 mm and not this one accepted yes and hide everything and this is our part I will assign the appearance the way I had shown any shown it in the screenshot that I have taken initially click OK and their appearance should be let's go one by one fill it appearance something shiny yes then hope its appearance horn there is this all it wants to hold all cut extrude taste the appearance taste it here also and the guess so our model is now ready so if you have any doubt you can ask in the comments section I'll be happy to help drawing will be uploaded on the Pinterest account again long link will be in the description so thank you for what
