hot shot judge dredd's world is one where Law and Order meet the unforgiving streets of Mega City 1 a dystopian City where judges rule the streets as judge jury and executioner and at the center of this dystopian Universe stands a weapon that strikes fear into the hearts of criminals and brings Justice to the Lawless the law Giver the weapon of choice for the judges it has become synonymous with the indomitable judge and is more than just a tool for dispensing Justice it's a symbol of authority power and unwavering commitment to upholding the law from its humble beginnings in the comic book pages to its cinematic adaptations with each iteration it has evolved and expanded its arsenal of features I mean this one single gun can serve as a grenade launcher a molotive cocktail a stun gun a heat seeker and much more in this video we will explore the various incarnations of the lawgiver and discover the diverse ammunition types the advanced security measures and the awe-inspiring Firepower that makes the law Giver a force to be reckoned with so fellow dreadheads and citizens of Mega City 1 tip your helmets as we begin this ride before we go into our explanation we have a very small request if you like our content please support us by subscribing to our Channel this is a small click for you but for us it means a lot thank you let's begin [Music] the lawgiver design and features in the dangerously criminal and Mean Streets of Mega City 1 chaos Reigns Supreme and Justice is a scarce commodity whatever Justice is meted out its courtesy of the hardcore judges who serve as judge jury and executioner the law Giver stands as the judge's trusty companion it's the judge's right hand and left-hand tool for delivering Swift Justice manufactured by General arms this voice activated machine pistol is not your average sidearm much like our channel the law Giver is a marvelous multitasker capable of firing various types of ammo from a single cartridge giving the judge a bang for his buck now we all know that being a judge is no walk in the park that is improbable given that Mega City 1 is packed with people on all Corners naturally the risks are high and the body count is even higher whenever there's a skirmish people fall on either side and when a judge dies his firearm becomes vulnerable to theft and misuse that's why the law Giver comes equipped with some Nifty security features you see these babies are programmed to recognize the palm print of their authorized owners it's like a personalized handshake but with bullets if anyone else tries to get their grubby mids on a lawgiver the ruthless little machine goes into an instant self-destruction mode sounds like a hand grenade in the wrong hands but hey the justice department knows that sometimes rules need to be bent to keep the peace or there might be situations when a judge needs to use another's law Giver to repel the bad guys and if a judge dies his gun should be up for reuse by another right that's why the top dogs the senior judges and above have access to the secretive instructions on how to bypass the security feature giving them a backstage pass to the explosive party Judge Dredd himself demonstrated this when he had to get down and dirty after losing a partner in the line of duty but how many versions of the law Giver have we had and what are their specific features on the piercing different versions of lawgiver well there are essentially two versions of the weapon that appeared in the comics the first was the Mark 1 and the next upgraded version was the Mark II and then the worthy movie versions of the weapon however each of these law givers comes with special attributes and features let's explore these with Justice one bullet at a time hello Giver Mark 1 the law given Mark 1 the OG sidearm of the judges had a style all its own unlike its blocky and Superior cousin the Mark II this bad boy rocked a Sleek slender and shiny silver look although it also came in Black should Mr Wayne come prowling one night mark one somewhat looked like a rifle scope with a pistol's grip and although it didn't look as intimidating as its other versions it was enough to dispense some deadly Justice now let's talk Firepower of course the lawgiver Mark 1 was no one-trick pony it was a multi-fire weapon that could handle different types of ammo like a pro with its dorsal and ventral feeding magazine Wells it could pack a punch from both ends but what made it truly special and interesting was the number of ammunition options it provided first up we got the general purpose or GP rounds your standard lead alloy bullets nothing fancy here just good old-fashioned stopping power but when the judges needed to take things up a notch there was the armor piercing or the AP ammo perfect for when you had to crack through some heavy duty body or give a robot like Archbishop Emoji a metal makeover the next ones are the incendiary rounds which start to heat things up these little Devils set Targets on fire turning perps into human torches you could imagine it as a Malta of cocktail compressed in a bullet but wait we're not done yet with all the destructive Realms next up we got the grenade rounds whenever judges would need to take down an armored vehicle or a reinforced robot they just send one of these explosive shells that way and watch the nasty fireworks from their Uber cool motorbikes for those judges looking for a little less boob and a little more Precision there's the high explosive or he rounds they don't create a big mess but they still pack a punch perfect for when you want to make a point without the shrapnel interestingly they also had the HS or heat seeker rounds which locked onto targets based on their heat signature making sure no prop could escape the long arm of the lore the HS rounds were semi-armor piercing and came with a sheath of lead alloy that housed a dense metal core which was where the sensor was placed to ensure the it changed its course been flight it was adorned with a tail and fin control surfaces last but not least we have the RR or rubber Ricochet rounds these little guys were for those tricky situations when he needed to shoot perps around corners or bounce shots off walls for instance what do you do when a criminal is holding a poor child at gunpoint well you shoot at the wall behind them making the bullet Ricochet and penetrate the criminal's flesh thereby stuffing him but you know I felt it was one of the more absurd additions I mean it sounds like a game of pinball but with criminals each of the magazines comes with a 12 round capacity but how many magazines of each does a judge carry on his person well the standard Loadout consists of two magazines of general purpose and armor-piercing rounds one magazine of incendiary and rubber Ricochet rounds and another magazine of grenade and high explosive Realms although it's a mix and match extravaganza the judges can have other preferences and sometimes the loadout is decided based upon the experience and Mission type however one has to have at least one magazine of all six types in there no No Exceptions there now let's talk bullets and dive deeper into lawgiver Mark 1's Arsenal and features these gyrojet projectiles are filled with some fancy sounding stuff called argon 88b an unstable element that gives the bullet the velocity the law Giver has a Nifty nine-step dial on its side showing the round's velocity level the gun's targeting computer could handle the adjustments automatically or the shooter could take matters into their own hands and do it manually these bullets have a max range of 5 kilometers so that a judge could reach out and touch those perps from a distance to help with targeting we got the fast Focus scope at the back of the breach which can aim through the bore to give the judge an exact sight picture it had a visual range of 200 to 2000 meters and came with some much needed Imaging modes like night vision and infrared additionally they had something called the heads up display in the aiming reticule it gave the shooter all the Deets they needed Target type as in if they were human machine or robot velocity level ammo type in the chamber and the current magazine capacity but probably the most unique feature of the Mark 1 lawgiver was the strobe light accessory this thing had two modes a low cycle to temporarily blind opponents in low light environments and a rapid cycle that could induce seizures lawgiver Mark II the law Giver Mark II was the shiny new addition to the Judge Dread Arsenal it hit the scene in 2120 but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for the justice department but then again it never is like that in red City the first batch of these weapons had a little surprise courtesy of Nero narcos the big boss of crimes in the kid called the friends the guns were sabotaged as part of the judge genocide event called operation doomsday and when the weapons received a radio signal they all went into a self-destruct mode injuring and killing several of the judges but let's focus on the positive shall We The Mark II is an improvement over its predecessor one major change is that all ammo is now stored in a single bulk magazine instead of a bunch of different ones the ammo types got a number designation from one to six and you can select them manually using a dial on the gun side or even by giving a vocal command and guess what the Mark II is fully automatic unlike its semi-automatic predecessor as far as the ammo is concerned most of the Mark II versions have the same goodies as the Mark 1 with one exception that is the optional gas rounds some stories have added a stun bullet and even a stunner beam though it's not always reliable Creator John Wagner threw in an exorcist bullet for dealing with Supernatural foes like judge death the Mark II also comes with a built-in stun shot system that is powered by an inbuilt pack of batteries the stun shot system fires a new electric energy pulse that could knock a curb out cold however the effects are temporary having said that they might cause some minor inconveniences like heart failure seizures or permanent central nervous system damage if we talk about the attachments the Mark II can fire clip-on grenades like fragmentation stem gas or trank gas shells and there's even a hypo needle round filled with drugs it's like a little health potion in bullet form additionally this weapon is also equipped with a fast Focus viewfinder for those moments when the judge needs rapid targeting and if they find themselves in the dark or temporarily blinded the weapon has a motion tracker that beeps and boops to let them know where the targets are hiding lastly the Mark II silencer is so Adept that it can make the gunfire go subsonic so these were the two comic versions of the impressive lawgiver but what about the movies [Music] lawgiver in Judge Dread 1995. all right fellow dreadheads let's talk about the law Giver in the 1995 Judge Dread film it's a bit of a modified version of The logiver Mark II but it still packs a punch in this cinematic makeover the law giver's magazine was moved to the grip giving it a sleek and stylish look however it lost a couple of features along the way the stun shot function was let go and so is the ability to launch grenades from the muzzle the fast Focus scope also didn't make the cut instead they added a targeting sensor module under the barrel but all was not lost the movie version of the lawgiver has some extra fire modes to spice things up for instance the rapid fire lets the judges Go full auto unleashing a storm of Justice then there was this strange Edition called a double whammy which fired two homing shots simultaneously at different targets meaning there was Double the Trouble for those pesky perps during a demonstration at the Academy of law Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd showcases the law Giver with a 25 round magazine the ammo is referred to as Mission variable and voice programmed the judge can verbally designate the ammo type they want and the generic multi-purpose slug magically transforms into high explosive armor piercing and other specialized types they even added a new ammo called signal flare though it might just be a different name for the incendiary round now here's an interesting twist the anti-tampering booby trap got a little upgrade instead of exploding in the grip it gives a lethal shock which happened to one of the bad guys during a skirmish oh and one more thing each bullet fired from the law Giver in the movie is tagged with the DNA profile of the judge who fired it which gives a whole new meaning to leaving your mark So if a slug is recovered from a victim they'll know exactly who dished out the justice hacks law Giver in Judge Dread 2012 the law Giver featured in the 2012 film was by far the most realistic of the law givers we've seen so far but then we've only had two live-action movies once again resembling the trusty Mark II model this lawgiver means business it offers three fire modes for your shooting pleasure semi rapid fire and silenced and of course there's a digital screen that keeps you informed about the pistol settings it shows the fire mode target range ammo count and even the selected round type when dread commands High X that screen proudly displays High X letting you know that high explosive is locked and loaded the DNA sensor in the pistol grip ensures that only the registered judge gets to unleash the law giver's might when unauthorized users try to get trigger happy that screen will flash an ID fail message followed by a not so pleasant surprise an explosive charge will make your forearm take an early exit there's more on that screen readout a full magazine supposedly carries 50 full metal jacket rounds 25 armor piercing rounds 25 incendiary rounds and 25 high explosive rounds and the screen even helps you out when your ammo is running low it'll flash an ammunition low warning when you're down to the last 10 percent now let's talk about the famous hot shot round it's not the heatseeker round we know and love it's actually an incendiary bullet and red puts on quietly fiery show with a magazine full of them during his epic counter Ambush against the mama gang in another scene during a standoff he shoots one of the Hot Shots right into the mouth of a man holding woman hostage that poor dude's face heated up and popped from the inside and for those stealthy operations dread has got the silent mode the law givers got an integrated silencer a sleeve wrapped around the barrel extending over the muzzle when in silenced mode The Guns of verbal confirmations take a break preserving that sweet stealth and surprise other weapons like the law Giver m56 smart gun aliens featured in the aliens franchise the m56 smart gun is a massive shoulder-melded weapon equipped with motion tracking system and a high capacity ammunition backpack it is the designed for use by colonial Marines and can be fired from the hip or locked under targets for automatic tracking and firing dl-44 heavy Blaster pistol Star Wars wielded by the legendary Han Solo the dl-44 heavy Blaster pistol is a powerful and iconic weapon it features a solid design selectable Firepower modes and a built-in scope its Shear stuffing power and ruggedness make it a favorite among Smugglers and bounty hunters Needler Halo the Needler is a futuristic Covenant weapon in the HALO Series it fires pink crystalline shards that hone in on targets and explode causing substantial damage similar to the lawgiver's heatseeker rounds the Needler seeks out its Target making it a deadly and unique firearm m41a pulse rifle aliens another weapon from the aliens franchise the m41a pulse rifle combines a standard assault rifle with an underslung grenade launcher it features a high rate of fire a digital ammunition counter and a motion tracker mounted on top I wonder if you could think of more real-life influences in real life the law Giver has left its Mark and inspired some interesting developments in firearm technology take Metal Storm for example and Australian Firearms manufacturer that Drew inspiration from Judge dredd's iconic weapon they came up with the variable lethality law enforcement electronic pistol a gun that takes security seriously just like the law Giver this firearm can only be fired by its rightful owner ensuring it doesn't end up in the wrong hands be it bad guys or kids you can prove your worthiness through Palm or fingerprint scans numerical codes swipe cards or even voice recognition but here's where it gets even more intriguing the gun has the capability to shoot a range of projectiles including not only traditional bullets but also pesticides fertilizers fireworks and other rapid delivery packages and if that's not enough this high-tech pistol even has an electronic voice to let you know which firing mode it's currently in another example is Sentinel a company that's taking firearm safety to the next level with its creation called the identolog conceived by Omer Kiani someone who knows the consequences of an unsecured firearm first hand this device is all about preventing accidents it attaches to a handgun's trigger and boasts a fingerprint scanner for a biometric authentication so unless you're a verified user that trigger won't budge and the idental lock goes a step further because it can accommodate multiple attracted users all within the FBI iafis standards this means that responsible gun owners can have peace of mind knowing the children or unauthorized individuals won't stumble upon their firearms and cause harm it's a modern solution to a pressing issue aiming to keep everyone safe in both Metal Storm and Sentinel are pushing the boundaries of firearm technology finding innovative ways to enhance security and prevent tragic accidents like we so often hear in the news while they may not possess all the Bell and whistles of Judge dredd's lawgiver these real-life counterparts are making strides towards safer firearms [Music] marvelous verdict in conclusion the law Giver the iconic weapon of Judge Dredd is a true Marvel of fictional with firearm design with its array of ammunition types security features and futuristic capabilities it embodies the essence of Judge dredd's uncompromising pursuit of Justice from the early comic book pages to the big screen adaptations the lawgiver has been one of the most intriguing aspects of the dread Universe whether it's the original lawgiver Mark 1 with its gyrojet projectiles or the advanced logiver Mark II with its smart gun features each iteration has brought something unique to the table the latter's ability to adapt its ammunition to different scenarios and its built-in stun shot system demonstrate the evolution of this awesome weapon remember citizens the law Giver may be fictional but a weapon's impact in real life is very serious stay law abiding stay vigilant and let the law Giver be your guide in the chaos of a dystopian future which doesn't seem very far away does it and if you like our content don't forget to leave a like And subscribe to us if you haven't already have a good one and be safe thanks everyone one [Music] thank you
