LAUNDRY ROOM UPDATES FOR UNDER $200.00 | 2021

[Music] hi guys and welcome back to my channel if you are new welcome my name is hannah and i'm the mom with muscle and in today's video it's going to be a very short video of my laundry room and so for those of you guys who are new to my channel my husband and i do live in a track home we purchased our house brand new about two years ago and have slowly made updates to this house to make it feel less of a track home and more of a custom home to us for example we added beams to our ceilings we've done some kind of diy projects i painted our staircase black we've done backsplashes we've changed flooring trying to make a track home feel less track home and more custom to colin and i as a family so the laundry room has been just a basic laundry room there's been nothing really great or special about it and i'm not saying that it's special or there's anything crazy that i did i did spend less than 200 on these updates wanted to show you guys a couple ways you can elevate a space without spending a ton of money now i chose not to do a ton of updates in this space because it is a space that i'm in once a week that's to do laundry i would rather invest my money in really beautiful furniture pieces or things for my girls or things for myself or stuff for outdoors now that we are investing in our backyard so that's just me personally but i did wanted to show you guys what it is that i did to this room to elevate it for less than 200 so let's get into it okay so here is my next project you guys have not seen this this is my current laundry room and it is a rainy day schedule here in san diego so i am going to do some updating so i have ordered some new hardware for the sink this is a farm sink purchase new hardware for all the drawer pulls so that's going to be what i'm going to be working on today and then i'm going to get some temporary light underneath here and just kind of judge up my laundry room so i just wanted to kind of show you guys there's miss ryder she's sleeping and uh yeah so here's my next project [Music] is [Music] [Music] time [Music] so here is the laundry room space that is obviously very snug in here so i'm going to be doing a lot of voice over so you guys can see what it is that i am talking about do ignore this section this is part of our laundry room where we keep extra towels our vacuums cleaning supplies and whatnot but we are focusing on the space behind me so when i moved into this house they had chrome drawer pulls which you guys will see as i do some voice overs so we put replace those poles with a matte black pole these are from home depot these are the same poles that i have used for updating our space all the way throughout our home just so everything is cohesive so that was a simple thing i think i spent 70 dollars on replacing the drawer pulls again the second item that we did was we added this under glow lighting it's very very dark in here it's a very dark space very small space so i thought it would be really fun to just add just a little bit of extra lighting so we got this strip lighting on amazon everything will be linked down below for you guys if you want to elevate your laundry room space so we added the lighting for under here and it's made a huge difference as far as lighting goes it's a lot more brighter in here and i'm really glad that colin and i decided to make that change now the last thing that we chose to do to update this space was we changed the faucet which you guys will see to a matte black faucet the faucet that was in here was really cheap it was just like a chrome like whatever faucet and we got this one on amazon for 59. again i didn't want to spend a fortune on this project i feel like the little updates that i did do in this space have elevated my laundry room that much more if later down the road i want to add maybe a fun backsplash or maybe some floating shelves we will cross that bridge when we get here but i'm honestly very happy with spending less than 200 dollars and how it already looks and feels so that was the last main big update that we did and then obviously i will do some kind of uh you know close-ups of everything i added some really fun decor you know i did like a towel rack right here some really cute little roll towels on this side i have my laundry soap and some lint balls and just like little things little touches make a huge difference so that is the updates to my life alright and that is it for today's video i hope you guys enjoyed i told you it's going to be nice short simple sweet and to the point hopefully you got some inspiration if you guys are in a track home like me it does not cost a lot of money to do some simple changes and updates to your track home to make it feel just a little bit more custom to you and as i said this did cost us less than two hundred dollars to just do a couple little updates here and there and i'm super happy with how it turned out and that is it i love you guys we'll see you
