LAST LIFE: Episode 5 - MASS DESTRUCTION

welcome to episode 5 of last life and this episode is off to a very good start indeed because in the previous episode i built up a ghast farm and just before we started recording while everyone was chilling out on the server i was getting some of these now this might sound a little bit mean i'm not going to tell any of the people behind me that i have them just in case i'm the boogeyman because the end crystal the end crystal could be a very very valuable tool indeed i'm also pretty impressed i've managed to do my whole there it is there it is i was gonna say i managed to get through all of that without actually being distracted you you guys are too late i had my intro done you were because somebody couldn't signify quick enough what do you mean i just i went i went oh oh that's like the universal sound of there's something that you need to be wary of wait i didn't hear that what was that again oh that was right someone clipped that turn into like a subscriber sound or something yeah yeah if you ever hear that we know i missed all the action i have no idea yeah okay yeah let's recap so um i can't remember all the kills but obviously the most important to us is uh it's our sweet boy green uh got shot off of the gas farm in the nether and fell straight to the bed rock roof it was pretty savage the one that we kind of given me right like green was up there helping you at the gas farm oh yes sir yeah yeah helping you oh my goodness yeah yeah vacation saves the day now the other one which was quite consequential and might make us a bit of a target this week so apologies in advance is myself and green did a heist over at the uh the best teams base and i starved them of their of their brewing stand and their blaze powder so in the end they ended up going into the nether to get some blaze rods and ultimately bdubs met his demise and has actually been kicked out because he turned red wow so yeah he could be in a bit of a baby yeah that is a problem there i feel like we need to uh do a like there's four of us now it's going down it feels like our our plans are slipping away we need to do one more friendship uh friendship yeah i'm down with that i'm actually i'm actually up for starting this off this week so there we go solidarity gaming there's a lego there he is and uh mumbo here's your spyglass i'll see you boys later absolutely not this is it yeah no i'm convince him to give me my life back was to say i'll run away with you really romantic uh he gave me the life back i was like you're exiled and then i walked off oh wait so we're down we're legitimately three yeah we're legitimately just a trio now oh my god what's jimmy doing is he is he gonna make an attempt to come back or is he is he i don't know i just came to tell you that if you do see him come back tell him no thank you sir no cold calls no nothing here's the thing [Music] you know i really need a life i'm not gonna lie the cows jimmy the cow is out i'm so sorry now you're starting really you're getting getting us all started here jimmy i just i just i just really needed a new life for that jimmy you know what i think oh oh you know what then you know what mumbo that do we put some booby traps around that we're aware of but others aren't so if they start creeping in i would say yeah and probably get our weapons going right yeah last week i'm on an enchanted sword right now oof oh no that is bad it is no kind of crazy enchantment set up that at the point the enchantment last i heard was with uh team best so okay that was the whole thing okay so that might be problematic yeah just to say the slightest are we gonna do the thing where we actually stare at each other's eyes because the boogeyman has chosen i've got a spying glass for both eyes on all right here we go oh i'm nervous if timmy gets this we're in real trouble we are really in trouble i am not the beginner not the boogie man hey wait a minute hey that was a delay why do you guys always think i'm suss every time because you asked us all the time one of the first defensive mechanisms i was thinking about was do we booby trap this part just here so do we slightly move the redstone and have it so we have sand tnt with pressure plates on top we turn this entire path from here over to the entrance of the hole over there into sand so it looks less suspicious as people crest over the trap yeah so that one would be good for anyone taking the front ground yeah yeah so that that was my first idea well i guess we could we could do like a lava pool with gravel and tnt so then as soon as you land it's in double trouble there you fall in the tnt every you fall in the lava everything's exploding like that is oh that is bad news i don't trust impulse at all i don't trust him i'm definitely not going to give him my cast here i don't know why it's just the way that he said he wasn't the boogeyman i don't know why just the way that he said that he wasn't the boogeyman just felt super sass and by suss i don't mean sustainable i mean watch us totally forget that we've done this then fall into ourselves that classic that's a me play that's a me play do we have to be wary about the lava igniting the tnt i'm assuming not yeah i think so which is why i'm a bit worried about it uh i guess should stop that no i i did do a test earlier today and it's maybe maybe go pretty far down go pretty far down with the lava it makes me real nervous that mumbo is up there with tnt looking over the top of us this is super scary can you come down here please dig itself so we need one bit of lava at the bottom of this i guess so let's quickly do this right so that will be the one bit of lava and then we'll go up from there do you want me to put two more tnt i suppose you think we should i think i think it needs to be deeper rather than wider honestly that's why i was going to get rid of this one on the far right maybe i put i put this i put this border here so that basically you have to come over it and then you have to drop down onto that block oh good shout out yeah yeah kind of jump so that alone is going to be enough right i mean yeah there's no way that they could get past it but maybe we do two extra just just in case just in case yeah i like that just in case but then i feel like you can do it do it do it from this corner so go for four in but not the final two on the i do feel like though i feel like we're playing on the fact that they can't see far enough ahead like you kind of step over the block and then just go straight down i feel like actually if we start extending too far out forwards i do feel like we're gonna lose they'll catch it okay cool i'll go get some pressure plates i'll tell you what i so wish i was the boogie man where we were building that that would have been perfect so okay in this scenario to walk into i was like man i have i have the gear to make end crystals like when we were building up that trap there i was just like oh if if only i was the boogie man i just stood up there you're both above lava and i'm just holding eight tnt everyone's completely trustworthy of one another it's just like this is this is too perfect we've we've had our trust circle already that's for sure yeah oh man well well we haven't it got broken yeah i've been burned now i mean as the new committee do do we do away with the live trading stuff do we all agree that there's just trust for trust's sake uh well no hang on as as has the only yellow name here i feel like i need to i need to be careful you know what happened the last time i listened to a yellow name he ran off with my life that's true all right that's really that's yeah okay wow trap activated make sure you don't step on it otherwise it's bye-bye back away from the trap everybody back away from the trap how do you have this many what how big i like to imagine that your like sound deck is literally like the size of a wall it's pretty big i'll be honest it's uh it's quite expensive because i need to be extra a lot better than the one i have i suppose i'm just looking at it i guess i might as well get the obsidian from up at the top here that seems to make the most sense given that this nether portal is not being used currently this also gives me a good opportunity to oversee what is happening in the world surrounding our little village here and the answer is absolutely nothing nothing is going on whatsoever why did i choose such a terrifying place to gather obsidian i could have got this from anywhere right impulse did you whip from the piglens do you manage to get uh blaze powder at all uh yeah actually i do have some all right i have got what else do we need this is not something i expected to be holding in last ridiculous night guess because because you placed the tnt would it actually come up as mumbo blew them up no no no no it would just be blue and then we'd have to kind of work it out if you ignited it with flint and steel though right no yeah i think maybe in that instance no no really no really trust me i know all this stuff from not killing stuff on the hermitcraft server i'm very familiar with what does and doesn't register as a player kill yeah that makes sense okay now i know i've been incredibly generous giving both impulse and martin some end crystals but you know i want to make sure that i'm still the supreme and i have got two i feel like that doorway because people are going to try to get in there to get up to the tower because that's kind of where our good stuff is yep and we do have a side entrance so we could probably do that one pretty easy just like we did the other one i mean it makes it to me okay yeah let's go for it i mean do we do it using an end crystal and then crystal would be absolutely lethal that would be instant death i'm pretty sure i don't really know how these things work in terms of i've never built an end crystal based trap before wait i see your name i see a name oh here yep it is martin is probably good hello i'm good to see you we should probably inform you of a new system we've installed oh geez all right okay hit me with it boys what's going down we're currently working on it actually and um we'll just warn you don't go through this door yeah this though oh there's somebody there's somebody outdoor oh really he's got a creeper coming in oh oh deal but i want to let you guys know that the wizard hut is now open and we are selling souls there is a contract involved where you must sign it and you know you know agree to some things but uh we are selling souls i wanted to let you know about your pre-order as you know was canceled but you can apply for a new crystal uh do you need any more i didn't try to kill you you tried to kill yourself number of lives yeah and we don't have any lives to spare i was willing to let him fall into the to be fair that was actually one of your lives to burn so why not like he he strips you in green of one so why not yeah exactly exactly right um do we rebuild this i mean it seems pointless it's a mess yeah yeah it's too big can you just hole it up i don't know i think so it's served its purpose hasn't it could've worked i can't believe it clearly evidently it did it was great but man oh i want to see how many hearts he got down to he must have been did we go again i guess we could can you allow me to drop down onto this tnt this seems dangerous i would still say that we only have one line of pressure plates i think that's that's key yeah that works fine honestly yeah i can't believe he didn't die it doesn't make any sense i feel like it's very unlikely that someone's going to come back in through that way that was kind of weird well i mean could we hmm could we put up a fake wall right here so they think that's still like the door together oh yeah yeah that's a good move you have to explain to me what you're doing here i don't know what the deal is we got ender crystals right so we wanted to as the door opens there's nothing going to trigger right now right the observer the observer will go off that's going to fire a dispenser with an arrow into an end crystal that needs to be a block away i'm assuming the crystal goes down last right i'm assuming that's the last one i'm gonna try my best to yeah but put that in pretty late you know because we've got a double door we could totally just have the end crystal just out like it doesn't even need a floor that'll be the last thing they see leave it open so they get full blast yeah gosh right okay so we've got an arrow and then boom and then this is yeah this is the i guess just leave a little bit of space it just seems to travel just a little bit right oh my gosh that's nice we need to make sure that hey can you put the door in on the other side because obviously when oh yeah yeah yeah it's going to trigger as soon as we do right okay and here we go both in don't ever go through these doors yeah these doors are now be fair imagine imagine building a tnt cannon that is essentially on top of the build that you're blasting we also stumbled across green secret bunker that had about 40 wolves and there should now be about four because i burned them all alive one thing that i haven't done yet this is very relevant to scott is remember we had the whole debacle last week with the wither school um obviously green has since turned into a red light does he love us we never found the school i had a little look around couldn't find anything we didn't finally find one secret chest it wasn't in his bunker chase that was empty but it could be at the red name because it would make sense for him to take it to joel's oh oh there's something going on actually up in there it seems like they're on the move but that's why i'm thinking if they leave we can go in i just i'm scared to do it myself let's let's go in oh wait no there's okay they're over there so they're not looking if we're quick okay because joel's over laughing we're all having a good time what resources do you have right do you have stuff that could allow us to rebuild this trousers he owes us an end crystal i think i have four spy glasses oh well you should have mentioned that jimmy you're in yeah yeah came back home and stuff yeah literally every trap that we had you set off we told him not to move forwards like green specifically said get on the stone brick but don't take a step forward he couldn't have been more clear he just he just did it it's not even as though there was a mob behind him and it forced him in like that's such a scar maneuver that yeah that was an intense session but oddly coming out the other side of it i feel safer than ever our numbers are back to full traps are set and only we know where they are we've got proof that they work and scar's not going to tell anybody how it happened he would just like yeah he's trying to keep to himself and lick his wounds a little bit so yeah like this has been a [ __ ] this has been a full story yeah we've got more redemption here this is incredible yeah yeah well just the shame of koreans back [Laughter] what a whirlwind day
