hello my name is tyler tipton gm here springdale tractor tulsa wanted to go over a couple machines here i've got the l4701 here and the mx 5400 hydrostat open station now these come in multiple configurations the standard l series you can get 25 horse 33 horse 39 or the 47 horse but the 47 horse sits on its own frame and platform compared to the other 25 and 33 and 39 horse these two machines are really close in size uh there's a horsepower difference and a couple differences that i want to show you a reason why you might pick one over the other now the mx tractor you can get in 54 horse or 60 horse and you can get it in a gear drive hydrostat either one just depends on your preference now mx this is one of the last machines we're getting a true hydrostat machine these machines are the size where we start getting into you know working them every day and doing some meaningful tasks uh when it comes to you know on the farm construction site whatever your application is this is when you start getting into that everyday work now the l4701 this is one of our hottest tractors that we sell now this bucket that's on here is not the bucket it comes with it comes with the orange but but i'm going to show you uh we've got a dirt pile here behind colin i'm going to show you the reasons why you might buy a hydrostat over the gear drive and the main advantage is the hydrostat is when you're doing loader work right you can go back and forth real quick and easy and i'll show you why and how easy that is compared to a gear drive as wear gear drive you're having to clutch and switch direction or change gears all the time and constant whenever you're moving dirt or doing dirt work now the advantage of the gear drive is you're going to be able to go in a straight line mow for however long you can mow if that's all you're doing then an old-fashioned gear drive is going to be perfect for you right now the biggest difference between kubota's and other manufacturers is going to be kubota from top to bottom right starting off with the loader the loaders are made by kubota but their skid steer quick attach okay so it's two handles here you just pull them up anything that's got skid steer hook quick quick attach hookups you can put pilot pork rifle whatever right uh kubota realize there's a bunch of third-party companies that sell implements out there they don't make every single implement that's made so you can put those type of implements on this machine after you buy it or you know whenever we've got we do carry other brands so it gives you options right now if you notice the hydraulic lines are around on the inside of the boom here to keep from tree branches or anything like that hitting it and then also you got these hard lines behind this boom here with a cover to keep from any spillage from the bucket right so if you got too much rock or something that spills over the bucket it's not going to hurt these hard lines a lot of them will put it on top and do a hard line with no guard which is good they're protected for the most part but there is occasion where those get dented or bend or whatnot and this gives it a little bit more protection okay now if you come on over around here the other advantage is the way the steering linkage is hooked up so if you point down here at the axle here you'll notice our light linkage the steering linkage is up in front of the axle but it's above the axle and the heft of that actually could see i mean it's five inches or more uh it could take a little bit more of a beating than most tractors that are out there right uh kubota tends to over build stuff right um and you'll find some other competitors put the steering linkage behind it um and that's the claim of fame but it's behind it's it's at the lowest point of the tractor right now this machine here this is what we start selling to people that's moving around belts right maybe they're not doing it every day but they need to put round bells out uh on the weekend the reason being the lift capacity on this all the way to the top a little over 1200 pounds and then down there at the bottom about 2 400 pounds and four by six bale on average is about 1200 pounds just depends on how wet it is now um you can come over here uh our loaders are able to take them off you just got to pin here and the kickstand there we can take them off on and off real easy the platform uh is mostly flat on this size machine and then if you notice the pedal on the uh back and forth for the hydrostat is a treadle pedal as opposed to a twin clutch and the advantage of the you know the treadle pedal is there's no confusion of which goes for and which goes back it's very self-explanatory forward goes forward back goes back really no confusion on how this machine operates now the seat is adjustable adjust forward and back and then you got everything easily accessible you got three ranges of speed as opposed to two um then you've got your uh you can put a cruise control on here so if you're doing a little bit of loader work and dirt work uh the best thing to do is get a hydra strap hydrostatic and put a cruise control on it that way whenever you're mowing you set the cruise and you're good to go right um and then you got your pto switch over there your three-point uh position valve there um very you know self-explanatory just like any other tractor but one of the things i like that they do with the 4701 uh is they do these pins as opposed to a turnbuckle okay so you can put in there's a spot where they've got it cut out to where it gives you the ability to move your linkage a little bit to hook up your implement and then you can take that pin out and drop it where it's rigid and to keep from that implement moving around a lot easier than than fighting uh fighting that three point or fighting that uh turnbuckle because over time those turnbuckles get a little rusted as to where this is never gonna get rusted now um size wise right this here at the pto is gonna have about 36 horsepower right um reasons why you might jump up over to the mx uh as you look at the half to the rear end here uh it's a lot a little bit heavier tractor right the l4701 is about 3300 pound loaders about 1500 so about 5 000 pound machine this one weighs about a little over 500 pounds more with the loader so it's about a 5500 pound machine so it's gonna be able to handle a little bit heavier implements but uh the main reason we usually jump up from the 4701 over to the mx is pto horsepower right this size machine you can start pulling a small batwing like the rc 2512 that's made by lampride uh this here has got a pto horsepower of 46 so it's a total of nine horsepower more than the 4701 now with this linkage here it's got the pins as well but it's got the telescopic eyelets here that way if you're close to the implement rather than hopping on and off the machine you just press that back into it and it locks back into place now on this machine what you're going to notice the differences between the two it's a little bit heavier and then also you've got a little bit bigger loader okay the loader on this the la 1065 that's made by kubota and lift capacity all the way to the top uh is 1700 pounds of lift capacity at the bottom the breakout force is about 3 100 pounds so uh we get some horse farmers sometimes that i like these machines because they got pastures that they need to brush hog or keep down and whatnot um this machine is you know where you start getting an eight foot uh you know brush hog or a 12 foot bat wing or that you know rhino makes a 10 foot bat wing um that we sell with this machine so this is where you start getting more meaningful implements in the back or if you start stacking round bells uh this machine is better off for it because you know your average round bale is about 1200 pounds and on the 4701 that's your lift capacity all the way to the top is a little over 1200 so you're really maxing that out as to where this is 1700 pounds all the way to the top and can lift about nine and three-quarter feet that's where that one can lift about eight and three-quarter feet um so the lift capacity at the same height this one will actually lift quite a bit more if you measured them at the same time now all these lift capacities i'm telling you they're all at the bucket okay and i'm going to show you what i mean by that is right here at the loader a lot of manufacturers will measure the lift capacity here at the pivot pin as opposed to the bucket the bucket is a real lift capacity of where you're going to actually lift things um you're never going to lift anything back up again the reason they do that is you can it measures a little bit higher right so our marketing numbers or whatever you want to call it a little bit higher than what the numbers i'm actually telling you but the numbers i'm telling your true lip capacities on this machine now the biggest thing that you'll notice just at a glance on this the size of the front tire on this mx is a lot wider uh than the 4701 is it's going to give it a little bit better control whenever you're handling that weight off the front end loader so it's going to give you that control whenever you're stacking that round belt or doing dirt work or whatever it is or hauling gravel this is going to be able to handle a little bit better uh than the 4701 right now the other advantage of the mx is it has a pto switch up here up at the dash this little button here and down at the bottom that's where you can run the pto off the back and not be on top of the machine so if you got a wood chipper or a generator or something like that uh you can run that off there hit that button and be able to run it off the back here now this one here has also got a cruise control and the way the cruise control works you just push this lever here forward to the point of the speed that you're wanting to be at okay now what i'm going to show you is since these come in so many different configurations you know you got your gear drive and you got your hydrostat the mx you got cab no cab the reasons why i would buy a hydrostat over a gear drive is i'm doing dirt work i'm doing you know i'm moving one material from one point a to point b constantly every single day now like i told you before if you're doing a little bit of both brush hogging and doing some dirt work then just put a cruise control on there right but i'm gonna show you how quickly the hydrostat of the kubota reacts how efficient it is um the pto horsepower is the biggest thing the objection that we usually get between the gear drive and the hydrostat well kubota has made this so efficient that on the actual max you don't lose any horsepower between the hydrostatic gear drive and on the 4701 it's right at one horsepower so really you're not going to be able to tell the difference on pto horsepower between a gear drive and a hydrostat but if you're just doing brush hogging and you're going in a straight line stick with what works and stick with the gear ground i'm gonna hop on this 4701 over here the one i've got this black bucket that we just had i've got this dirt pile over here that i'm gonna run this thing into i'm not going to keep you all day but i just want to show you and i want you to notice how quickly this thing's reacting as soon as i hit the pedal right and you can snap you'll be able to tell if you had a gear drive you're going to be sitting there clutching changing the directions and whatnot and this you're gonna see how good and easy i'll be able to change directions now i had it in high gear but you notice how quickly that thing changed direction on us uh that's because of how efficient the hydrostat is now i was in high gear you don't want to do dirt work in high gear but you do have a low medium and high but i just wanted to show you the drastic change in direction uh whenever you got a hydrostat how quickly you can move with this machine if you have any more questions this is a brief overview there's a lot more specs to go over with this machine but come see us here at springdale tractor tulsa right off of route 66 or call us at 918-224-1565
