Kubota L4701 & BH92 Backhoe Clearing Trees, Removing Small Stumps & Finishing The Grade

good morning everybody welcome back to the channel we have an outdoors project to do today I need to make more room for firewood piles and we'll look at the edge of this one right here we're gonna go back as far as this pile goes and take all of this stunted scrubby brushy poeple stuff out over to about get over here to where these bigger Popples are here and here but everything else as far as that pile over is gonna go it's a bunch of trashy stuff in here a couple old rotten stumps old rotten trunks on the ground lots of brush we need to open this up a little bit and get it so we can actually use this space for something we can fit a couple more firewood piles in here if we get all this junk cleaned out of here I like to try and get this done before everything starts budding out and getting green it turns into a jungle in there it's hard to see where the ground even is but over here too we got some more cleanup to do we had an old lumber pile here some old rotten Timbers left to pick up off the ground and then we're gonna have to move the little road grader here to get this nasty dead snake out of here too this is another one that's going to be coming out this spring probably not gonna happen today but that guy's on the list too but to start out here I'm gonna get all these small Popples on the ground I'm gonna high stump them so we can come in and dig the stumps out with the back whole lot easier we'll process what we can use for firewood and the rest will go into the burn pile [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so now that all the trees are cleaned up I've got 14 little stumps to grub out in there so this is finally the fun part we have the Kubota elf 4701 tractor and we've got 200 some hours on the clock now let's just see to 25.8 and it's been ticking along pretty good BH 92 backhoe with the optional hydraulic thumb I love that thing that's kind of a spendy option but I'll tell you what controlled by this foot pedal down here that is one handy thing to have [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well Suns getting low in the sky but we got the job done stump pile is right here I'm gonna leave it sit here on the edge of the yard for probably another week and this will dry out a little bit more and I'll probably pick these up drop them some more see if I can knock the rest of the dirt out you notice when I was up there pulling I might pick him up and drop him quite a bit that's what we were doing there knock a little bit more dirt out and then there be they'll be ready for the burn pile and we kind of made a pretty nice little spot right here when you think back to what it looked like just this morning it's certainly no golf course but it's plenty good to stack firewood our goal with this was to only have enough room for one more row of wood we have three here right now four is bought all we ever have at one time but we want an extra room to stack the firewood that is in log length to the site so we can cut split process right here and go on stack and it's all nice and convenient so we can begin moving those piles from over there start shooting them down this alley right here now and honestly I'm pretty impressed with this little Kubota this 4701 for its size it is an extremely handy little tractor and the BH 92 backhoe really really does a good job just it's the icing on the cake for this thing it's not the fastest setup in the world you have to realize this is only an attachment and this entire thing is fed by a single hydraulic line so it's quite a bit slower than a purpose-built machine but for a weekend do-it-yourselfer warrior like me it does a pretty darn good job I'm well satisfied with it for what it is so I'm gonna put the tractor away like I said Suns getting low in the sky over there I have a nice cold refreshment happens to be my favorite brew not even kidding you either or life don't get no better than that for me we'll get this tractor away and I think I'll I'll knock off and enjoy the evening maybe listen to a little music thanks for watching everybody [Music] [Music]
