Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing! Really gives some perspective that we are all human despite what people think (ie celebrities can't have mental health issues like "normal people"). I have much more respect for her now!
Wow, that was awesome. I can totally relate to the fear of not being liked and the bubbly attitude.
Well society does not feel that way.
Thanks so much for sharing this. When she started to describe herself I got goosebumps because it almost sounded like she was describing me. And I've always loved Kristen Bell as an actress so to put a friendly face on anxiety like that is very helpful to me.
Great post from Tim Urban on understanding your authentic voice vs. complying with social norms kind of goes with what Kristen mentions earlier in the interview about changing her interests based on her friends.
I needed to see this this week, I am a bubbly person who is talking to my doctor about starting medicine for anxiety.
My mom approached me in a similar way when she began to notice my depressive symptoms. It sometimes takes an outside perspective to recognize your own mental health so having a supportive relationship like that is so important. Thank you for sharing. It really brightened my day.
You can listen to this whole interview as a podcast at www.offcamera.com. Sam Jones does a great job with these interviews- he has a lot of compassion talking to people and he has worked in the movie industry so he has some experience talking to actors.
Thank you posting this. It really helps knowing someone like her takes meds and suffers from the same type of things we do.
