(KOBE/神戸) Kobe Beef Sukiyaki Course Dinner and Private Onsen in Historical Ryokan #272

Rion's TV hey guys welcome to ryan's tv i'm Rion can you guys guess where i am now yes i'm in kobe  kobe is really popular for kobe beef however there   are many good spots such as kobe tower and then this beautiful harbor! so today finally i can eat   the kobe beef i'm so excited because of the go to  travel promotion it was much cheaper than regular   price still it was expensive though so actually in  the hotel plan include the private onsen plus the   Kobe beef dinner and also breakfast as well  actually this will be my this year's treat   myself event anyway so it's my first time  to visit there so it could be really good   it could be bad i'm not sure, let's explore  the private onsen and the Kobe beef with me   let's go so we are at the harbour as you can see  that's the port and then that's the kobe tower   I just finished the live stream and then try to show  the chinatown and the this harbour and the parks   so if you are interested in please check that live  stream anyway the closest station from here is   Motomachi and our hotel is in Shinkobe station so  it's a bit far, by the way it's six degrees in here   and then right next to the ocean yes it's really  cold still december 20th in the february will   be coldest, so still better than that however  yes it is cold anyway let's keep walking   even the wind was cold however this  beautiful sky makes me really happy so we come back to the chinatown, motomachin  station is almost there as you can see really   less people here it was better during the  daytime however still people are having a   hard time because of the less travelers, food  price getting cheaper as well i found the   beijing duck with only 200 japanese yen so maybe  you know if you don't mind to eat the street food   you can have a good deal definitely arrive  to the center of the chinatown as you can see still many people here however compared to  the last year really less well i really want to eat it here however the kobe beef is waiting  for me so let's go back to the hotel let's go so arrive to Motomachi station right now that's  the Motomachi station however i just checked the   google map and it seems like i should walk to  the Sannomia station because in that way I don't   have to change the train so let's keep working  I had to walk about 15 minutes from the station   but there are so many stores and restaurants! so it  was fun to walk so I'm on the way to go to the   Sannomiya station and can you guys see that sign  over there there is a kobe sign in the mountain it   looks like a kyoto huh nice anyway the Sannomiya  station is almost there so let's keep walking   so i guess I am on the right track i'm going down  to take a train hopefully i can get to the hotel oh yeah oh sweet the subway is here so i can  take a train the hotel is almost there let's keep   walking so arrive to Shin-Kobe yeah the hotel  should be close from here so let's keep walking   seems like i'm lost well i think i'm on the right  track but really is there a hotel around here   let me see it should be close ah by the way  as you can see this place is really quiet hopefully i can find a hotel i think  i got it this is the hotel so let's go   all right so let's keep walking this hotel has   over 60 years history it was a bit old  however much cleaner than what i thought so just checked in and actually i was planning  to eat first and after then i wanted to go to   the onsen however pretty much all the times  were booked so i had no choice but i have to   take a bath from now so we are directly  going into the onsen let's keep walking   so seems like this is the way to go to the onsen so basically this place has bath tab in the  room but also they have onsen it was public   onsen but due to the pandemic and less  customer they make it for private onsen oh yeah,, oh you know what I realized that   i have to go back to the hotel first and then  i need to get the towel and come back here so   let me go to get to the towel here we go  seems like this is the room i stay it's AOI really classic style so how is that looks like  still a place that you can take off your shoes oh actually it's not bad at all well i want  to make the room tour however beforehand   we have to take a bath so let's go to the  onsen let's find a towel where is the towel   where is the towel here this place is  restroom i will show you guys later here   oh here we go finally i found it so the towel  and there is Yukata too so first let's go to   onsen to take a bath i have 30 minutes all right  so here we go so this is how the onsen looks like   actually it was much smaller than what i expected  but thinking about the price i think it's okay and this is the onsen well it is too  small for taking the social distances   if there are many customers but for  myself definitely it's big enough   it's not that bad so let's take a bath well so  there is a rule that before going to the onsen   make sure wash your body and then wash your  hair too that's a rule to get into the onsen and let's be in Onesen this place is kind of  dark so maybe it's not good for shooting but   the price is 12 000 japanese yen  including the kobe beef dinner plus this   private Onsen so i think it's pretty  good time is limited so i have to get out   technically i still have 15 minutes but i  think it's better to get ready for the dinner that was the quickest onsen time i've ever had but  Kobe beef is waiting let's go to eat dinner adios so i came back to the room right now it's  6:40 now and my dinner time is from 7 p.m   before going to eat let me give you  guys a room tour so basically this   is the japanese style room there is the  regular business style room as well however   those are the little bit cheaper this place is  a little bit expensive how much was different   i think it was about like one or two thousand  japanese yen difference but i thought it would be   fun if i stay in this kind of japanese style  room so i pick this! this is the bathroom well as you can see it's a really nice  bathtub here how is the water pressure yeah water pressure is good too actually i can take a bath again later and this is a sink   yeah it's like traditional japanese house sink   it's nice so this is the restroom looks  like pretty bad right but actually yes   they have a clean bathroom it's a shower toilet and inside the room air pure  filter and ac and oh okay there is another futon and what's inside here  oh nice it's a tea set so you can have tea and oh there is a refrigerator here green tea  inside maybe that's a welcome drink or something   and we can see outside i believe in  the morning this place will be good the daytime view will be totally different so  i will show you guys tomorrow morning here oh   it's almost time to eat so let's go to eat dinner  let's go alright so key is ready let's go to eat so in the first floor there is a  restaurant and i think this is the place okay let's go so this is the place to eat as you can see  it's separated from other places so safe   enough i believe and here we can place the  mask so this is the menu for drink i think   my set menu doesn't include the drink however  i got the coupon so let me see which one to get   they have beer and the sake but i want to drink  beer so let's get beer so this is the menu we have   i don't know what it is but i  will show you guys one by one   so the first food i got is this one over here  let me see what's inside oh very nice oh my   goodness this is my first time to eat this kind of  beautiful food so i don't know which one to start and i believe this one we are not eating   and i guess it's a pickled radish  something so let me try them   and i believe it's a fish cake by the way i have ordered a  beer actually the beer is not   included for the set menu the  price is 600 japanese for asahi so i believe this is the "Kisetsu no Moriawase"  which is seasonal assaulted appetizer   and actually i don't know what it is i think it's a yam with squid something "Sumimasen, Arigato Gozaimasu" new stuff's already coming  so maybe i'm eating too slow   anyway this one is i think  yum which squid i believe i like this this one is really good with beer and there is a white fish left but i can't  eat it i might have an allergy on it so   japanese snapper it looks really good really  unfortunate but i love tuna so let's eat uh miso soup here oh i don't know we can call  this miso soup or not oh definitely it's not   because they are not using miso so there  are the scallops and Shungiku it looks good oh actually it's not  the scallop i think it's a shell and that's the kobe beef sukiyaki so this is  the Chawan Mushi but it's not regular Chawanmushi there is a kobe beef stew on top of the chawan  mushi it looks pretty good oh smells so good and now it's time for the sukiyaki it's not ready yet so let's enjoy this for now   you know there's a rice on the  menu so i think whenever it's   ready they will bring the rice for us  and you will know when the food is ready so the blow fish Karaage, and  the shishito pepper let me squeeze lemon it was really good the outside is really  crispy the inside is really soft but my advice   don't eat it with one bite it's super hot  as well and again this is perfect with beer   Shishito pepper for those of you  don't know the shishito pepper is a   pepper however it's not spicy so if you  can't eat the spicy food you can eat it this blow fish Karaage, so good well if  you feel like that i'm acting differently   because i'm not get used to  this kind of fancy restaurant so   a new experience for me well it's  a really good event for end of 2020 i think it's ready all right  here we go yes we got the rice now so that means the sukiyaki  is ready let me crack the egg so this is how you eat the sukiyaki firstly  you have the raw egg so you can crack it and   sukiyaki you can dip it to the egg i used to  study in the united states, one of my friend was   working in the japanese restaurant, the restaurant  served sukiyaki and the shabu-shabu and then there   was a customer came you know the customer was  really arrogant you know the high pride i believe   the sukiyaki is not familiar for them so  whenever someone ordered a sukiyaki they   asked whether if they know how to eat sukiyaki  or not and that time also he asked the customer   that if they know how to eat sukiyaki the customer  says yeah of course we know and then he was like   okay and after that he left the table and then  when he come back he was so surprised because   they were making the sunny side up in the sukiyaki  that's not how you eat sukiyaki maybe that's how   they like to eat but you know if you  don't know just ask let's eat kobe beef the kobe beef was incredibly soft and it  was perfect with sukiyaki with raw egg   yummy you know i can't speak loud  in here because this place is quiet   but it's so good you guys will love  it and those veggies are really sweet oh and i totally forgot  there is a miso soup as well there is a small eggplant inside  and for the end that we have dessert   Really creamy with  strawberry flavor and the fruits and that was it yes that was a really good time   alright so let's head out you know after i  eat i became sleepy let's go back to the room i kind of realized that this room is cold i try to   make maximum temperature for the ac however  it's still a little bit cold i think the   because the room is really big and this  place is right next to the mountain   uh so let me make a call to the front desk if i  can borrow the heater let me make a phone call well so they don't have the heater  you know it's just December so i'm wondering how they can candle in the super  cold season oh and also one thing i realized is   that there are not so many power outlet here there  is one power outlet here and then the other one   is over here and the one here oh  actually just received a phone call Alright oh well actually they  have the heater let's wait for the heater sweet i got the heater okay so in this way  i'm not gonna be cold anymore i believe i'm   in yukata finally i could change you know because  it was too cold so i couldn't change it but after changing to this cloth i feel much relaxed  the price was about 12 000 japanese yen after the   discount and i had that dinner and also tomorrow's  morning i have a breakfast and the breakfast is a   nice one as well so maybe looks a little bit old  but thinking about that you know cost per value   it's pretty good so anyway tomorrow i will  try to eat the breakfast and i will try to   find a souvenir plus kobe sight seeing it's already 1 00 am so i got to sleep you know it's
